যারা নিজের অনিষ্ট করে, ফেরেশতারা তাদের প্রাণ হরণ করে বলে, তোমরা কি অবস্থায় ছিলে? তারা বলেঃ এ ভূখন্ডে আমরা অসহায় ছিলাম। ফেরেশতারা বলেঃ আল্লাহর পৃথিবী কি প্রশস্ত ছিল না যে, তোমরা দেশত্যাগ করে সেখানে চলে যেতে? অতএব, এদের বাসস্থান হল জাহান্নাম এবং তা অত্যন্ত মন্দ স্থান।
When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls, they say: "In what (plight) Were ye?" They reply: "Weak and oppressed Were we in the earth." They say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (From evil)?" Such men will find their abode in Hell,- What an evil refuge! - |

যে কেউ আল্লাহর পথে দেশত্যাগ করে, সে এর বিনিময়ে অনেক স্থান ও সচ্ছলতা প্রাপ্ত হবে। যে কেউ নিজ গৃহ থেকে বের হয় আল্লাহ ও রসূলের প্রতি হিজরত করার উদ্দেশে, অতঃপর মৃত্যুমুখে পতিত হয়, তবে তার সওয়াব আল্লাহর কাছে অবধারিত হয়ে যায়। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়।
He who forsakes his home in the cause of Allah, finds in the earth Many a refuge, wide and spacious: Should he die as a refugee from home for Allah and His Messenger, His reward becomes due and sure with Allah: And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই যে, যারা ঈমান এনেছে, দেশ ত্যাগ করেছে, স্বীয় জান ও মাল দ্বারা আল্লাহর রাহে জেহাদ করেছে এবং যারা তাদেরকে আশ্রয় ও সাহায্য সহায়তা দিয়েছে, তারা একে অপরের সহায়ক। আর যারা ঈমান এনেছে কিন্তু দেশ ত্যাগ করেনি তাদের বন্ধুত্বে তোমাদের প্রয়োজন নেই যতক্ষণ না তারা দেশত্যাগ করে। অবশ্য যদি তারা ধর্মীয় ব্যাপারে তোমাদের সহায়তা কামনা করে, তবে তাদের সাহায্য করা তোমাদের কর্তব্য। কিন্তু তোমাদের সাথে যাদের সহযোগী চুক্তি বিদ্যমান রয়েছে, তাদের মোকাবেলায় নয়। বস্তুতঃ তোমরা যা কিছু কর, আল্লাহ সেসবই দেখেন।
Those who believed, and adopted exile, and fought for the Faith, with their property and their persons, in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid,- these are (all) friends and protectors, one of another. As to those who believed but came not into exile, ye owe no duty of protection to them until they come into exile; but if they seek your aid in religion, it is your duty to help them, except against a people with whom ye have a treaty of mutual alliance. And (remember) Allah seeth all that ye do. |

যারা দুঃখ-কষ্ট ভোগের পর দেশত্যাগী হয়েছে অতঃপর জেহাদ করেছে, নিশ্চয় আপনার পালনকর্তা এসব বিষয়ের পরে অবশ্যই ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
But verily thy Lord,- to those who leave their homes after trials and persecutions,- and who thereafter strive and fight for the faith and patiently persevere,- Thy Lord, after all this is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

অতঃপর তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলেন লূত। ইব্রাহীম বললেন, আমি আমার পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশে দেশত্যাগ করছি। নিশ্চয় তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
But Lut had faith in Him: He said: "I will leave home for the sake of my Lord: for He is Exalted in Might, and Wise." |

এই ধন-সম্পদ দেশত্যাগী নিঃস্বদের জন্যে, যারা আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও সন্তুষ্টিলাভের অন্বেষণে এবং আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূলের সাহায্যার্থে নিজেদের বাস্তুভিটা ও ধন-সম্পদ থেকে বহিস্কৃত হয়েছে। তারাই সত্যবাদী।
(Some part is due) to the indigent Muhajirs, those who were expelled from their homes and their property, while seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure, and aiding Allah and His Messenger: such are indeed the sincere ones:- |

যদি তারা বহিস্কৃত হয়, তবে মুনাফিকরা তাদের সাথে দেশত্যাগ করবে না আর যদি তারা আক্রান্ত হয়, তবে তারা তাদেরকে সাহায্য করবে না। যদি তাদেরকে সাহায্য করে, তবে অবশ্যই পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন করে পলায়ন করবে। এরপর কাফেররা কোন সাহায্য পাবে না।
If they are expelled, never will they go out with them; and if they are attacked (in fight), they will never help them; and if they do help them, they will turn their backs; so they will receive no help. |
