তোমরা ভয় কর সেদিনকে, যে দিন এক ব্যক্তি থেকে অন্য ব্যক্তি বিন্দুমাত্র উপকৃত হবে না, কারও কাছ থেকে বিনিময় গৃহীত হবে না, কার ও সুপারিশ ফলপ্রদ হবে না এবং তারা সাহায্য প্রাপ্ত ও হবে না।
Then guard yourselves against a Day when one soul shall not avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from her nor shall intercession profit her nor shall anyone be helped (from outside). |

ঐ দিনকে ভয় কর, যে দিন তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে। অতঃপর প্রত্যেকেই তার কর্মের ফল পুরোপুরি পাবে এবং তাদের প্রতি কোন রূপ অবিচার করা হবে না।
And fear the Day when ye shall be brought back to Allah. Then shall every soul be paid what it earned, and none shall be dealt with unjustly. |

তুমি রাতকে দিনের ভেতরে প্রবেশ করাও এবং দিনকে রাতের ভেতরে প্রবেশ করিয়ে দাও। আর তুমিই জীবিতকে মৃতের ভেতর থেকে বের করে আন এবং মৃতকে জীবিতের ভেতর থেকে বের কর। আর তুমিই যাকে ইচ্ছা বেহিসাব রিযিক দান কর।
"Thou causest the night to gain on the day, and thou causest the day to gain on the night; Thou bringest the Living out of the dead, and Thou bringest the dead out of the Living; and Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou pleasest, without measure." |

নিশ্চয় তোমাদের প্রতিপালক আল্লাহ। তিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলকে ছয় দিনে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতঃপর আরশের উপর অধিষ্টিত হয়েছেন। তিনি পরিয়ে দেন রাতের উপর দিনকে এমতাবস্থায় যে, দিন দৌড়ে রাতের পিছনে আসে। তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন সূর্য, চন্দ্র ও নক্ষত্র দৌড় স্বীয় আদেশের অনুগামী। শুনে রেখ, তাঁরই কাজ সৃষ্টি করা এবং আদেশ দান করা। আল্লাহ, বরকতময় যিনি বিশ্বজগতের প্রতিপালক।
Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds! |

তিনিই ভুমন্ডলকে বিস্তৃত করেছেন এবং তাতে পাহাড় পর্বত ও নদ-নদী স্থাপন করেছেন এবং প্রত্যেক ফলের মধ্যে দু’দু প্রকার সৃষ্টি করে রেখেছেন। তিনি দিনকে রাত্রি দ্বারা আবৃত করেন। এতে তাদের জন্যে নিদর্শণ রয়েছে, যারা চিন্তা করে।
And it is He who spread out the earth, and set thereon mountains standing firm and (flowing) rivers: and fruit of every kind He made in pairs, two and two: He draweth the night as a veil o'er the Day. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who consider! |

আমি রাত্রি ও দিনকে দুটি নিদর্শন করেছি। অতঃপর নিস্প্রভ করে দিয়েছি রাতের নিদর্শন এবং দিনের নিদর্শনকে দেখার উপযোগী করেছি, যাতে তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ অন্বেষণ কর এবং যাতে তোমরা স্থির করতে পার বছরসমূহের গণনা ও হিসাব এবং আমি সব বিষয়কে বিস্তারিত ভাবে বর্ণনা করেছি।
We have made the Night and the Day as two (of Our) Signs: the Sign of the Night have We obscured, while the Sign of the Day We have made to enlighten you; that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the number and count of the years: all things have We explained in detail. |

আয়াতঃ ১২) |

এটা এ জন্যে যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিনের মধ্যে এবং দিনকে রাত্রির মধ্য দাখিল করে দেন এবং আল্লাহ সবকিছু শোনেন, দেখেন।
That is because Allah merges night into day, and He merges day into night, and verily it is Allah Who hears and sees (all things). |

এমন লোকেরা, যাদেরকে ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য ও ক্রয়-বিক্রয় আল্লাহর স্মরণ থেকে, নামায কায়েম করা থেকে এবং যাকাত প্রদান করা থেকে বিরত রাখে না। তারা ভয় করে সেই দিনকে, যেদিন অন্তর ও দৃষ্টিসমূহ উল্টে যাবে।
By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new),- |

তিনিই তো তোমাদের জন্যে রাত্রিকে করেছেন আবরণ, নিদ্রাকে বিশ্রাম এবং দিনকে করেছেন বাইরে গমনের জন্যে।
And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection. |

তারা কি দেখে না যে, আমি রাত্রি সৃষ্টি করেছি তাদের বিশ্রামের জন্যে এবং দিনকে করেছি আলোকময়। নিশ্চয় এতে ঈমানদার সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
See they not that We have made the Night for them to rest in and the Day to give them light? Verily in this are Signs for any people that believe! |

বলুন, ভেবে দেখ তো, আল্লাহ যদি দিনকে কেয়ামতের দিন পর্যন্ত স্থায়ী করেন, তবে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন উপাস্য কে আছে যে, তোমাদেরকে রাত্রি দান করতে পারে, যাতে তোমরা বিশ্রাম করবে ? তোমরা কি তবুও ভেবে দেখবে না ?
Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the day perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you a night in which ye can rest? Will ye not then see? |

তাদের জন্যে এক নিদর্শন রাত্রি, আমি তা থেকে দিনকে অপসারিত করি, তখনই তারা অন্ধকারে থেকে যায়।
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; |

অতএব, তোমরা কিরূপে আত্নরক্ষা করবে যদি তোমরা সেদিনকে অস্বীকার কর, যেদিন বালককে করে দিব বৃদ্ধ?
Then how shall ye, if ye deny (Allah), guard yourselves against a Day that will make children hoary-headed?- |

তারা মান্নত পূর্ণ করে এবং সেদিনকে ভয় করে, যেদিনের অনিষ্ট হবে সুদূরপ্রসারী।
They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide. |
(আদ-দাহর:

দিনকে করেছি জীবিকা অর্জনের সময়,
And made the day as a means of subsistence? |
