আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমার প্রতিপালক সুবিচারের নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন এবং তোমরা প্রত্যেক সেজদার সময় স্বীয় মুখমন্ডল সোজা রাখ এবং তাঁকে খাঁটি আনুগত্যশীল হয়ে ডাক। তোমাদেরকে প্রথমে যেমন সৃষ্টি করেছেন, পুনর্বারও সৃজিত হবে।
Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return." |

আর আল্লাহর জন্য রয়েছে সব উত্তম নাম। কাজেই সে নাম ধরেই তাঁকে ডাক। আর তাদেরকে বর্জন কর, যারা তাঁর নামের ব্যাপারে বাঁকা পথে চলে। তারা নিজেদের কৃতকর্মের ফল শীঘ্রই পাবে।
The most beautiful names belong to Allah: so call on him by them; but shun such men as use profanity in his names: for what they do, they will soon be requited. |

যেদিন তিনি বলবেনঃ তোমরা যাদেরকে আমার শরীক মনে করতে তাদেরকে ডাক। তারা তখন তাদেরকে ডাকবে, কিন্তু তারা এ আহবানে সাড়া দেবে না। আমি তাদের মধ্যস্থলে রেখে দেব একটি মৃত্যু গহবর।
One Day He will say, "Call on those whom ye thought to be My partners," and they will call on them, but they will not listen to them; and We shall make for them a place of common perdition. |

বলা হবে, আজ তোমরা এক মৃত্যুকে ডেকো না অনেক মৃত্যুকে ডাক।
"This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!" |
(আল-ফুরকান:

বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা পরওয়া করেন না যদি তোমরা তাঁকে না ডাক। তোমরা মিথ্যা বলেছ। অতএব সত্বর নেমে আসবে অনিবার্য শাস্তি।
Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" |

তোমরা তাদেরকে তাদের পিতৃপরিচয়ে ডাক। এটাই আল্লাহর কাছে ন্যায়সঙ্গত। যদি তোমরা তাদের পিতৃ-পরিচয় না জান, তবে তারা তোমাদের ধর্মীয় ভাই ও বন্ধুরূপে গণ্য হবে। এ ব্যাপারে তোমাদের কোন বিচ্যুতি হলে তাতে তোমাদের কোন গোনাহ নেই, তবে ইচ্ছাকৃত হলে ভিন্ন কথা। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
Call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah. But if ye know not their father's (names, call them) your Brothers in faith, or your maulas. But there is no blame on you if ye make a mistake therein: (what counts is) the intention of your hearts: and Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |
