অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার কসম, আমি অবশ্যই ওদের সবাইকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করব।
Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, |

আর, এতিমের মালের কাছেও যেয়ো না, একমাত্র তার কল্যাণ আকাংখা ছাড়া; সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তির যৌবনে পদার্পন করা পর্যন্ত এবং অঙ্গীকার পূর্ন কর। নিশ্চয় অঙ্গীকার সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হবে।
Come not nigh to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and fulfil (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). |

আমি এমনি ভাবে তাদেরকে জাগ্রত করলাম, যাতে তারা পরস্পর জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে। তাদের একজন বললঃ তোমরা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছ? তাদের কেউ বললঃ একদিন অথবা একদিনের কিছু অংশ অবস্থান করছি। কেউ কেউ বললঃ তোমাদের পালনকর্তাই ভাল জানেন তোমরা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছ। এখন তোমাদের একজনকে তোমাদের এই মুদ্রাসহ শহরে প্রেরণ কর; সে যেন দেখে কোন খাদ্য পবিত্র। অতঃপর তা থেকে যেন কিছু খাদ্য নিয়ে আসে তোমাদের জন্য; সে যেন নম্রতা সহকারে যায় ও কিছুতেই যেন তোমাদের খবর কাউকে না জানায়।
Such (being their state), we raised them up (from sleep), that they might question each other. Said one of them, "How long have ye stayed (here)?" They said, "We have stayed (perhaps) a day, or part of a day." (At length) they (all) said, "Allah (alone) knows best how long ye have stayed here.... Now send ye then one of you with this money of yours to the town: let him find out which is the best food (to be had) and bring some to you, that (ye may) satisfy your hunger therewith: And let him behave with care and courtesy, and let him not inform any one about you. |

অজ্ঞাত বিষয়ে অনুমানের উপর ভিত্তি করে এখন তারা বলবেঃ তারা ছিল তিন জন; তাদের চতুর্থটি তাদের কুকুর। একথাও বলবে; তারা পাঁচ জন। তাদের ছষ্ঠটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। আরও বলবেঃ তারা ছিল সাত জন। তাদের অষ্টমটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা তাদের সংখ্যা ভাল জানেন। তাদের খবর অল্প লোকই জানে। সাধারণ আলোচনা ছাড়া আপনি তাদের সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করবেন না এবং তাদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে তাদের কাউকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ ও করবেন না।
(Some) say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth,- doubtfully guessing at the unknown; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say thou: "My Lord knoweth best their number; It is but few that know their (real case)." Enter not, therefore, into controversies concerning them, except on a matter that is clear, nor consult any of them about (the affair of) the Sleepers. |

তারা আপনাকে যুলকারনাইন সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করে। বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদের কাছে তাঁর কিছু অবস্থা বর্ণনা করব।
They ask thee concerning Zul-qarnain. Say, "I will rehearse to you something of his story." |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৮৩) |

অতঃপর যখন শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেয়া হবে, সেদিন তাদের পারস্পরিক আত্নীয়তার বন্ধন থাকবে না এবং একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে না।
Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! |
(আল মু'মিনূন:

অতঃপর যখন বিলকীস এসে গেল, তখন তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হল, তোমার সিংহাসন কি এরূপই? সে বলল, মনে হয় এটা সেটাই। আমরা পূর্বেই সমস্ত অবগত হয়েছি এবং আমরা আজ্ঞাবহও হয়ে গেছি।
So when she arrived, she was asked, "Is this thy throne?" She said, "It was just like this; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this, and we have submitted to Allah (in Islam)." |

অতঃপর তাদের কথাবার্তা বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে এবং তারা একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করতে পারবে না।
Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other. |

সত্যবাদীদেরকে তাদের সত্যবাদিতা সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করার জন্য। তিনি কাফেরদের জন্য যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি প্রস্তুত রেখেছেন।
That (Allah) may question the (custodians) of Truth concerning the Truth they (were charged with): And He has prepared for the Unbelievers a grievous Penalty. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |

অথচ তারা পূর্বে আল্লাহর সাথে অঙ্গীকার করেছিল যে, তারা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করবে না। আল্লাহর অঙ্গীকার সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে।
And yet they had already covenanted with Allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allah must (surely) be answered for. |
(আল আহযাব:

লোকেরা আপনাকে কেয়ামত সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করে। বলুন, এর জ্ঞান আল্লাহর কাছেই। আপনি কি করে জানবেন যে সম্ভবতঃ কেয়ামত নিকটেই।
Men ask thee concerning the Hour: Say, "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone)": and what will make thee understand?- perchance the Hour is nigh! |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ৬৩) |

তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে পরস্পরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
And they will turn to one another, and question one another. |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ২৭) |

অতঃপর তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
Then they will turn to one another and question one another. |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 14 |
আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন কে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছে? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে, এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ আল্লাহ।
If thou wert to question them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' They would be sure to reply, 'they were created by (Him), the Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge';- |

আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 15 |
তারা নারী স্থির করে ফেরেশতাগণকে, যারা আল্লাহর বান্দা। তারা কি তাদের সৃষ্টি প্রত্যক্ষ করেছে? এখন তাদের দাবী লিপিবদ্ধ করা হবে এবং তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে।
And they make into females angels who themselves serve Allah. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be called to account! |

আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 16 |
যদি আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন, কে তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তবে অবশ্যই তারা বলবে, আল্লাহ, অতঃপর তারা কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছে ?
If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)? |
(যুখরুফ:
আয়াতঃ ৮৭) |
| 17 |
আর যারা কুফর করেছে, তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে, তোমাদের কাছে কি আয়াতসমূহ পঠিত হত না? কিন্তু তোমরা অহংকার করছিলে এবং তোমরা ছিলে এক অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়।
But as to those who rejected Allah, (to them will be said): "Were not Our Signs rehearsed to you? But ye were arrogant, and were a people given to sin! |
(আল জাসিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৩১) |

যেদিন আমি জাহান্নামকে জিজ্ঞাসা করব; তুমি কি পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছ? সে বলবেঃ আরও আছে কি?
One Day We will ask Hell, "Art thou filled to the full?" It will say, "Are there any more (to come)?" |

তারা জিজ্ঞাসা করে, কেয়ামত কবে হবে?
They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" |
(আয-যারিয়াত:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 20 |
তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry. |
(আত্ব তূর:
আয়াতঃ ২৫) |
| 21 |
ক্রোধে জাহান্নাম যেন ফেটে পড়বে। যখনই তাতে কোন সম্প্রদায় নিক্ষিপ্ত হবে তখন তাদেরকে তার সিপাহীরা জিজ্ঞাসা করবে। তোমাদের কাছে কি কোন সতর্ককারী আগমন করেনি?
Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" |

আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন তাদের কে এ বিষয়ে দায়িত্বশীল?
Ask thou of them, which of them will stand surety for that! |
(আল কলম:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 23 |
তারা থাকবে জান্নাতে এবং পরস্পরে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
(They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, |

তারা পরস্পরে কি বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করছে?
Concerning what are they disputing? |

তারা আপনাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে, কেয়ামত কখন হবে?
They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? |
