হে মুমিণগণ! তোমরা ইহুদী ও খ্রীষ্টানদেরকে বন্ধু হিসাবে গ্রহণ করো না। তারা একে অপরের বন্ধু। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে তাদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করবে, সে তাদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত। আল্লাহ জালেমদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust. |

তাদের জন্যে নরকাগ্নির শয্যা রয়েছে এবং উপর থেকে চাদর। আমি এমনিভাবে জালেমদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান করি।
For them there is Hell, as a couch (below) and folds and folds of covering above: such is Our requital of those who do wrong. |

আল্লাহ তা’আলা মুমিনদেরকে মজবুত বাক্য দ্বারা মজবুত করেন। পার্থিবজীবনে এবং পরকালে। এবং আল্লাহ জালেমদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন। আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা, তা করেন।
Allah will establish in strength those who believe, with the word that stands firm, in this world and in the Hereafter; but Allah will leave, to stray, those who do wrong: Allah doeth what He willeth. |

অতঃপর আমি পরহেযগারদেরকে উদ্ধার করব এবং জালেমদেরকে সেখানে নতজানু অবস্থায় ছেড়ে দেব।
But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. |

তাদের মধ্যে যে বলে যে, তিনি ব্যতীত আমিই উপাস্য, তাকে আমি জাহান্নামের শাস্তি দেব। আমি জালেমদেরকে এভাবেই প্রতিফল দিয়ে থাকি।
If any of them should say, "I am a god besides Him", such a one We should reward with Hell: thus do We reward those who do wrong. |

অতএব আজকের দিনে তোমরা একে অপরের কোন উপকার ও অপকার করার অধিকারী হবে না আর আমি জালেমদেরকে বলব, তোমরা আগুনের যে শাস্তিকে মিথ্যা বলতে তা আস্বাদন কর।
So on that Day no power shall they have over each other, for profit or harm: and We shall say to the wrong-doers, "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire,- the which ye were wont to deny!" |

যে ব্যক্তি কেয়ামতের দিন তার মুখ দ্বারা অশুভ আযাব ঠেকাবে এবং এরূপ জালেমদেরকে বলা হবে, তোমরা যা করতে তার স্বাদ আস্বাদন কর,-সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ নয়?
Is, then, one who has to fear the brunt of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment (and receive it) on his face, (like one guarded therefrom)? It will be said to the wrong-doers: "Taste ye (the fruits of) what ye earned!" |
