মন্দের জওয়াবে তাই বলুন, যা উত্তম। তারা যা বলে, আমি সে বিষয়ে সবিশেষ অবগত।
Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. |

তারা দুইবার পুরস্কৃত হবে তাদের সবরের কারণে। তারা মন্দের জওয়াবে ভাল করে এবং আমি তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছি, তা থেকে ব্যয় করে।
Twice will they be given their reward, for that they have persevered, that they avert Evil with Good, and that they spend (in charity) out of what We have given them. |

তোমরা কি পুংমৈথুনে লিপ্ত আছ, রাহাজানি করছ এবং নিজেদের মজলিসে গর্হিত কর্ম করছ? জওয়াবে তাঁর সম্প্রদায় কেবল একথা বলল, আমাদের উপর আল্লাহর আযাব আন যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হও।
"Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth." |

সমান নয় ভাল ও মন্দ। জওয়াবে তাই বলুন যা উৎকৃষ্ট। তখন দেখবেন আপনার সাথে যে ব্যক্তির শুত্রুতা রয়েছে, সে যেন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু।
Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! |
