এতদসম্পর্কে যদি তোমাদের কোন সন্দেহ থাকে যা আমি আমার বান্দার প্রতি অবতীর্ণ করেছি, তাহলে এর মত একটি সূরা রচনা করে নিয়ে এস। তোমাদের সেসব সাহায্যকারীদেরকে সঙ্গে নাও-এক আল্লাহকে ছাড়া, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাকো।
And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true. |

আর যখন তাদের কাছে আমার প্রকৃষ্ট আয়াত সমূহ পাঠ করা হয়, তখন সে সমস্ত লোক বলে, যাদের আশা নেই আমার সাক্ষাতের, নিয়ে এসো কোন কোরআন এটি ছাড়া, অথবা একে পরিবর্তিত করে দাও। তাহলে বলে দাও, একে নিজের পক্ষ থেকে পরিবর্তিত করা আমার কাজ নয়। আমি সে নির্দেশেরই আনুগত্য করি, যা আমার কাছে আসে। আমি যদি স্বীয় পরওয়ারদেগারের নাফরমানী করি, তবে কঠিন দিবসের আযাবের ভয় করি।
But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)." |

তাকে ছাড়া, তোমরা সবাই মিলে আমার অনিষ্ট করার প্রয়াস চালাও, অতঃপর আমাকে কোন অবকাশ দিও না।
"Other gods as partners! so scheme (your worst) against me, all of you, and give me no respite. |
