জেনে রাখ, নিশ্চয়ই তারা নিজেদের বক্ষদেশ ঘুরিয়ে দেয় যেন আল্লাহর নিকট হতে লুকাতে পারে। শুন, তারা তখন কাপড়ে নিজেদেরকে আচ্ছাদিত করে, তিনি তখনও জানেন যা কিছু তারা চুপিসারে বলে আর প্রকাশ্যভাবে বলে। নিশ্চয় তিনি জানেন যা কিছু অন্তর সমূহে নিহিত রয়েছে।
Behold! they fold up their hearts, that they may lie hid from Him! Ah even when they cover themselves with their garments, He knoweth what they conceal, and what they reveal: for He knoweth well the (inmost secrets) of the hearts. |

তারা চুপিসারে পরস্পরে বলাবলি করবেঃ তোমরা মাত্র দশ দিন অবস্থান করেছিলে।
In whispers will they consult each other: "Yet tarried not longer than ten (Days); |

রসূলের আহবানকে তোমরা তোমাদের একে অপরকে আহ্বানের মত গণ্য করো না। আল্লাহ তাদেরকে জানেন, যারা তোমাদের মধ্যে চুপিসারে সরে পড়ে। অতএব যারা তাঁর আদেশের বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করে, তারা এ বিষয়ে সতর্ক হোক যে, বিপর্যয় তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করবে অথবা যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি তাদেরকে গ্রাস করবে।
Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them. |
