অতঃপর যখন চন্দ্রকে ঝলমল করতে দেখল, বললঃ এটি আমার প্রতিপালক। অনন্তর যখন তা অদৃশ্য হয়ে গেল, তখন বলল যদি আমার প্রতিপালক আমাকে পথ-প্রদর্শন না করেন, তবে অবশ্যই আমি বিভ্রান্ত সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাব।
When he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, He said: "unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray." |

তিনি প্রভাত রশ্মির উন্মেষক। তিনি রাত্রিকে আরামদায়ক করেছেন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে হিসেবের জন্য রেখেছেন। এটি পরাক্রান্ত, মহাজ্ঞানীর নির্ধারণ।
He it is that cleaveth the day-break (from the dark): He makes the night for rest and tranquillity, and the sun and moon for the reckoning (of time): Such is the judgment and ordering of (Him), the Exalted in Power, the Omniscient. |

নিশ্চয় তোমাদের প্রতিপালক আল্লাহ। তিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলকে ছয় দিনে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতঃপর আরশের উপর অধিষ্টিত হয়েছেন। তিনি পরিয়ে দেন রাতের উপর দিনকে এমতাবস্থায় যে, দিন দৌড়ে রাতের পিছনে আসে। তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন সূর্য, চন্দ্র ও নক্ষত্র দৌড় স্বীয় আদেশের অনুগামী। শুনে রেখ, তাঁরই কাজ সৃষ্টি করা এবং আদেশ দান করা। আল্লাহ, বরকতময় যিনি বিশ্বজগতের প্রতিপালক।
Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds! |

তিনিই সে মহান সত্তা, যিনি বানিয়েছেন সুর্যকে উজ্জল আলোকময়, আর চন্দ্রকে স্নিগ্ধ আলো বিতরণকারীরূপে এবং অতঃপর নির্ধারিত করেছেন এর জন্য মনযিল সমূহ, যাতে করে তোমরা চিনতে পার বছরগুলোর সংখ্যা ও হিসাব। আল্লাহ এই সমস্ত কিছু এমনিতেই সৃষ্টি করেননি, কিন্তু যথার্থতার সাথে। তিনি প্রকাশ করেন লক্ষণসমূহ সে সমস্ত লোকের জন্য যাদের জ্ঞান আছে।
It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand. |

যখন ইউসুফ পিতাকে বললঃ পিতা, আমি স্বপ্নে দেখেছি এগারটি নক্ষত্রকে। সুর্যকে এবং চন্দ্রকে। আমি তাদেরকে আমার উদ্দেশে সেজদা করতে দেখেছি।
Behold! Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!" |

আল্লাহ, যিনি উর্ধ্বদেশে স্থাপন করেছেন আকাশমন্ডলীকে স্তম্ভ ব্যতীত। তোমরা সেগুলো দেখ। অতঃপর তিনি আরশের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন। এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কর্মে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকে নির্দিষ্ট সময় মোতাবেক আবর্তন করে। তিনি সকল বিষয় পরিচালনা করেন, নিদর্শনসমূহ প্রকাশ করেন, যাতে তোমরা স্বীয় পালনকর্তার সাথে সাক্ষাত সম্বন্ধে নিশ্চিত বিশ্বাসী হও।
Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord. |

এবং তোমাদের সেবায় নিয়োজিত করেছেন সূর্যকে এবং চন্দ্রকে সর্বদা এক নিয়মে এবং রাত্রি ও দিবাকে তোমাদের কাজে লাগিয়েছেন।
And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৩) |

তিনিই তোমাদের কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন রাত্রি, দিন, সূর্য এবং চন্দ্রকে। তারকাসমূহ তাঁরই বিধানের কর্মে নিয়োজিত রয়েছে। নিশ্চয়ই এতে বোধশক্তিসম্পন্নদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. |

তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেছেন রাত্রি ও দিন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্র। সবাই আপন আপন কক্ষপথে বিচরণ করে।
It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৩) |

তুমি কি দেখনি যে, আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু আছে নভোমন্ডলে, যা কিছু আছে ভুমন্ডলে, সূর্য, চন্দ্র, তারকারাজি পর্বতরাজি বৃক্ষলতা, জীবজন্তু এবং অনেক মানুষ। আবার অনেকের উপর অবধারিত হয়েছে শাস্তি। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা লাঞ্ছিত করেন, তাকে কেউ সম্মান দিতে পারে না। আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা তাই করেন
Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills. |

কল্যাণময় তিনি, যিনি নভোমন্ডলে রাশিচক্র সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তাতে রেখেছেন সূর্য ও দীপ্তিময় চন্দ্র।
Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; |

যদি আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন, কে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছে, চন্দ্র ও সূর্যকে কর্মে নিয়োজিত করেছে? তবে তারা অবশ্যই বলবে আল্লাহ। তাহলে তারা কোথায় ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে?
If indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)? |

তুমি কি দেখ না যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন? তিনি চন্দ্র ও সূর্যকে কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকেই নির্দিষ্টকাল পর্যন্ত পরিভ্রমণ করে। তুমি কি আরও দেখ না যে, তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ তার খবর রাখেন?
Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do? |

তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন। তিনি সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকটি আবর্তন করে এক নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত। ইনি আল্লাহ; তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, সাম্রাজ্য তাঁরই। তাঁর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদেরকে ডাক, তারা তুচ্ছ খেজুর আঁটিরও অধিকারী নয়।
He merges Night into Day, and he merges Day into Night, and he has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law): each one runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah your Lord: to Him belongs all Dominion. And those whom ye invoke besides Him have not the least power. |

আয়াতঃ ১৩) |

চন্দ্রের জন্যে আমি বিভিন্ন মনযিল নির্ধারিত করেছি। অবশেষে সে পুরাতন খর্জুর শাখার অনুরূপ হয়ে যায়।
And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk. |

সূর্য নাগাল পেতে পারে না চন্দ্রের এবং রাত্রি অগ্রে চলে না দিনের প্রত্যেকেই আপন আপন কক্ষপথে সন্তরণ করে।
It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). |

আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 17 |
তিনি আসমান ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছেন যথাযথভাবে। তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবস দ্বারা আচ্ছাদিত করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রি দ্বারা আচ্ছাদিত করেন এবং তিনি সুর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কাজে নিযুক্ত করেছেন প্রত্যেকেই বিচরণ করে নির্দিষ্ট সময়কাল পর্যন্ত। জেনে রাখুন, তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, ক্ষমাশীল।
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again? |

আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 18 |
তাঁর নিদর্শনসমূহের মধ্যে রয়েছে দিবস, রজনী, সূর্য ও চন্দ্র। তোমরা সূর্যকে সেজদা করো না, চন্দ্রকেও না; আল্লাহকে সেজদা কর, যিনি এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যদি তোমরা নিষ্ঠার সাথে শুধুমাত্র তাঁরই এবাদত কর।
Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve. |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |
| 19 |
কেয়ামত আসন্ন, চন্দ্র বিদীর্ণ হয়েছে।
The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder. |
(আল ক্বামার:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 20 |
সূর্য ও চন্দ্র হিসাবমত চলে।
The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; |
(আর রহমান:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 21 |
এবং সেখানে চন্দ্রকে রেখেছেন আলোরূপে এবং সূর্যকে রেখেছেন প্রদীপরূপে।
"'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? |
(নূহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

কখনই নয়। চন্দ্রের শপথ,
Nay, verily: By the Moon, |
(আল মুদ্দাসসির:
আয়াতঃ ৩২) |
| 23 |
চন্দ্র জ্যোতিহীন হয়ে যাবে।
And the moon is buried in darkness. |
(আল ক্বেয়ামাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 24 |
এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে একত্রিত করা হবে-
And the sun and moon are joined together,- |
(আল ক্বেয়ামাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |

এবং চন্দ্রের, যখন তা পূর্ণরূপ লাভ করে,
And the Moon in her fullness: |

শপথ চন্দ্রের যখন তা সূর্যের পশ্চাতে আসে,
By the Moon as she follows him; |
