তারা বলল, আপনি প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করুন-তিনি বলে দিন যে, সেটা কিরূপ? কেননা, গরু আমাদের কাছে সাদৃশ্যশীল মনে হয়। ইনশাআল্লাহ এবার আমরা অবশ্যই পথপ্রাপ্ত হব। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলেন যে, এ গাভী ভূকর্ষণ ও জল সেচনের শ্রমে অভ্যস্ত নয়-হবে নিষ্কলঙ্ক, নিখুঁত।
They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what she is: To us are all heifers alike: We wish indeed for guidance, if Allah wills." |

হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা স্বীয় উপার্জন থেকে এবং যা আমি তোমাদের জন্যে ভূমি থেকে উৎপন্ন করেছি, তা থেকে উৎকৃষ্ট বস্তু ব্যয় কর এবং তা থেকে নিকৃষ্ট জিনিস ব্যয় করতে মনস্থ করো না। কেননা, তা তোমরা কখনও গ্রহণ করবে না; তবে যদি তোমরা চোখ বন্ধ করে নিয়ে নাও। জেনে রেখো, আল্লাহ অভাব মুক্ত, প্রশংসিত।
O ye who believe! Give of the good things which ye have (honourably) earned, and of the fruits of the earth which We have produced for you, and do not even aim at getting anything which is bad, in order that out of it ye may give away something, when ye yourselves would not receive it except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of all wants, and worthy of all praise. |

যদি তুমি আমাকে হত্যা করতে আমার দিকে হস্ত প্রসারিত কর, তবে আমি তোমাকে হত্যা করতে তোমার দিকে হস্ত প্রসারিত করব না। কেননা, আমি বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহকে ভয় করি।
"If thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for I do fear Allah, the cherisher of the worlds. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:

আমি তওরাত অবর্তীর্ন করেছি। এতে হেদায়াত ও আলো রয়েছে। আল্লাহর আজ্ঞাবহ পয়গম্বর, দরবেশ ও আলেমরা এর মাধ্যমে ইহুদীদেরকে ফয়সালা দিতেন। কেননা, তাদেরকে এ খোদায়ী গ্রন্থের দেখাশোনা করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছিল এবং তাঁরা এর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণে নিযুক্ত ছিলেন। অতএব, তোমরা মানুষকে ভয় করো না এবং আমাকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আয়াত সমূহের বিনিময়ে স্বল্পমূল্যে গ্রহণ করো না, যেসব লোক আল্লাহ যা অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তদনুযায়ী ফায়সালা করে না, তারাই কাফের।
It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. |

আপনি বলুন, আমি আমার প্রতিপালকের অবাধ্য হতে ভয় পাই কেননা, আমি একটি মহাদিবসের শাস্তিকে ভয় করি।
Say: "I would, if I disobeyed my Lord, indeed have fear of the penalty of a Mighty Day. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 6 |
আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমাকে তাদের এবাদত করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছে, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ছেড়ে যাদের এবাদত কর। আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমি তোমাদের খুশীমত চলবো না। কেননা, তাহলে আমি পথভ্রান্ত হয়ে যাব এবং সুপথগামীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হব না।
Say: "I am forbidden to worship those - others than Allah - whom ye call upon." Say: "I will not follow your wain desires: If I did, I would stray from the path, and be not of the company of those who receive guidance." |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৫৬) |

এবং যাদের পাল্লা হাল্কা হবে, তারাই এমন হবে, যারা নিজেদের ক্ষতি করেছে। কেননা, তারা আমার আয়াত সমূহ অস্বীকার করতো।
Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 8 |
যখন মোনাফেকরা বলতে লাগল এবং যাদের অন্তর ব্যাধিগ্রস্ত, এরা নিজেদের ধর্মের উপর গর্বিত। বস্তুতঃ যারা ভরসা করে আল্লাহর উপর, সে নিশ্চিন্ত, কেননা আল্লাহ অতি পরাক্রমশীল, সুবিজ্ঞ।
Lo! the hypocrites say, and those in whose hearts is a disease: "These people,- their religion has misled them." But if any trust in Allah, behold! Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |

নূহ বলেছিলঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে সাহায্য কর; কেননা, তারা আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলছে।
(Noah) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood!" |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |

অতঃপর তাঁকে ও তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে উদ্ধার করলাম তাঁর স্ত্রী ছাড়া। কেননা, তার জন্যে ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্তদের ভাগ্যই নির্ধারিত করেছিলাম।
But We saved him and his family, except his wife; her We destined to be of those who lagged behind. |
(নমল:

বালিকাদ্বয়ের একজন বলল পিতাঃ তাকে চাকর নিযুক্ত করুন। কেননা, আপনার চাকর হিসেবে সে-ই উত্তম হবে, যে শক্তিশালী ও বিশ্বস্ত।
Said one of the (damsels): "O my (dear) father! engage him on wages: truly the best of men for thee to employ is the (man) who is strong and trusty".... |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 12 |
কেননা, কাফেররা তাদের অন্তরে মূর্খতাযুগের জেদ পোষণ করত। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল ও মুমিনদের উপর স্বীয় প্রশান্তি নাযিল করলেন এবং তাদের জন্যে সংযমের দায়িত্ব অপরিহার্য করে দিলেন। বস্তুতঃ তারাই ছিল এর অধিকতর যোগ্য ও উপযুক্ত। আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে সম্যক জ্ঞাত।
While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things. |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |

মুমিনগণ, কেউ যেন অপর কাউকে উপহাস না করে। কেননা, সে উপহাসকারী অপেক্ষা উত্তম হতে পারে এবং কোন নারী অপর নারীকেও যেন উপহাস না করে। কেননা, সে উপহাসকারিণী অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ হতে পারে। তোমরা একে অপরের প্রতি দোষারোপ করো না এবং একে অপরকে মন্দ নামে ডেকো না। কেউ বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলে তাদের মন্দ নামে ডাকা গোনাহ। যারা এহেন কাজ থেকে তওবা না করে তারাই যালেম।
O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong. |

এবং বোঝাতে থাকুন; কেননা, বোঝানো মুমিনদের উপকারে আসবে।
But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. |
