মনে রেখো, তারাই হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টিকারী, কিন্তু তারা তা উপলব্ধি করে না।
Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not. |
(আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 2 |
আর যখন মূসা তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা তোমাদেরই ক্ষতিসাধন করেছ এই গোবৎস নির্মাণ করে। কাজেই এখন তওবা কর স্বীয় স্রষ্টার প্রতি এবং নিজ নিজ প্রাণ বিসর্জন দাও। এটাই তোমাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর তোমাদের স্রষ্টার নিকট। তারপর তোমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করা হল। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনিই ক্ষমাকারী, অত্যন্ত মেহেরবান।
And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf: So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your Maker." Then He turned towards you (in forgiveness): For He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

আর তোমরা যখন বললে, হে মূসা, আমরা একই ধরনের খাদ্য-দ্রব্যে কখনও ধৈর্য্যধারণ করব না। কাজেই তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার নিকট আমাদের পক্ষে প্রার্থনা কর, তিনি যেন আমাদের জন্যে এমন বস্তুসামগ্রী দান করেন যা জমিতে উৎপন্ন হয়, তরকারী, কাকড়ী, গম, মসুরি, পেঁয়াজ প্রভৃতি। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তোমরা কি এমন বস্তু নিতে চাও যা নিকৃষ্ট সে বস্তুর পরিবর্তে যা উত্তম? তোমরা কোন নগরীতে উপনীত হও, তাহলেই পাবে যা তোমরা কামনা করছ। আর তাদের উপর আরোপ করা হল লাঞ্ছনা ও পরমুখাপেক্ষিতা। তারা আল্লাহর রোষানলে পতিত হয়ে ঘুরতে থাকল। এমন হলো এ জন্য যে, তারা আল্লাহর বিধি বিধান মানতো না এবং নবীগনকে অন্যায়ভাবে হত্যা করত। তার কারণ, তারা ছিল নাফরমান সীমালংঘকারী।
And remember ye said: "O Moses! we cannot endure one kind of food (always); so beseech thy Lord for us to produce for us of what the earth groweth, -its pot-herbs, and cucumbers, Its garlic, lentils, and onions." He said: "Will ye exchange the better for the worse? Go ye down to any town, and ye shall find what ye want!" They were covered with humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause. This because they rebelled and went on transgressing. |

যখন আমি কা’বা গৃহকে মানুষের জন্যে সম্মিলন স্থল ও শান্তির আলয় করলাম, আর তোমরা ইব্রাহীমের দাঁড়ানোর জায়গাকে নামাযের জায়গা বানাও এবং আমি ইব্রাহীম ও ইসমাঈলকে আদেশ করলাম, তোমরা আমার গৃহকে তওয়াফকারী, অবস্থানকারী ও রুকু-সেজদাকারীদের জন্য পবিত্র রাখ।
Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). |

স্মরণ কর, যখন ইব্রাহীম ও ইসমাঈল কা’বাগৃহের ভিত্তি স্থাপন করছিল। তারা দোয়া করেছিলঃ পরওয়ারদেগার! আমাদের থেকে কবুল কর। নিশ্চয়ই তুমি শ্রবণকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ।
And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing. |
(আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ১২৭) |
| 6 |
অতএব তারা যদি ঈমান আনে, তোমাদের ঈমান আনার মত, তবে তারা সুপথ পাবে। আর যদি মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে তারাই হঠকারিতায় রয়েছে। সুতরাং এখন তাদের জন্যে আপনার পক্ষ থেকে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট। তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী।
So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but Allah will suffice thee as against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. |
(আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ১৩৭) |
| 7 |
অতঃপর তওয়াফের জন্যে দ্রুতগতিতে সেখান থেকে ফিরে আস, যেখান থেকে সবাই ফিরে। আর আল্লাহর কাছেই মাগফেরাত কামনা কর। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ ক্ষমাকারী, করুনাময়।
Then pass on at a quick pace from the place whence it is usual for the multitude so to do, and ask for Allah's forgiveness. For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

তারা ধৈর্য্যধারণকারী, সত্যবাদী, নির্দেশ সম্পাদনকারী, সৎপথে ব্যয়কারী এবং শেষরাতে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনাকারী।
Those who show patience, Firmness and self-control; who are true (in word and deed); who worship devoutly; who spend (in the way of Allah); and who pray for forgiveness in the early hours of the morning. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |

এমরানের স্ত্রী যখন বললো-হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আমার গর্ভে যা রয়েছে আমি তাকে তোমার নামে উৎসর্গ করলাম সবার কাছ থেকে মুক্ত রেখে। আমার পক্ষ থেকে তুমি তাকে কবুল করে নাও, নিশ্চয়ই তুমি শ্রবণকারী, সর্বজ্ঞাত।
Behold! a woman of 'Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So accept this of me: For Thou hearest and knowest all things." |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |
| 10 |
ইব্রাহীম ইহুদী ছিলেন না এবং নাসারাও ছিলেন না, কিক্তু তিনি ছিলেন ‘হানীফ’ অর্থাৎ, সব মিথ্যা ধর্মের প্রতি বিমুখ এবং আত্নসমর্পণকারী, এবং তিনি মুশরিক ছিলেন না।
Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah's (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৬৭) |
| 11 |
আর যা কিছু আসমান ও যমীনে রয়েছে, সেসবই আল্লাহর। তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা ক্ষমা করবেন, যাকে ইচ্ছা আযাব দান করবেন। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন ক্ষমাকারী, করুণাময়।
To Allah belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth. He forgiveth whom He pleaseth and punisheth whom He pleaseth; but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১২৯) |
| 12 |
বরং আল্লাহ তোমাদের সাহায্যকারী, আর তাঁর সাহায্যই হচ্ছে উত্তম সাহায্য।
Nay, Allah is your protector, and He is the best of helpers. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৫০) |
| 13 |
তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে যে দু’জন সেই কুকর্মে লিপ্ত হয়, তাদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান কর। অতঃপর যদি উভয়ে তওবা করে এবং নিজেদের সংশোধন করে, তবে তাদের থেকে হাত গুটিয়ে নাও। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তওবা কবুলকারী, দয়ালু।
If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone; for Allah is Oft-returning, Most Merciful. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |
| 14 |
নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে নির্দেশ দেন যে, তোমরা যেন প্রাপ্য আমানতসমূহ প্রাপকদের নিকট পৌছে দাও। আর যখন তোমরা মানুষের কোন বিচার-মীমাংসা করতে আরম্ভ কর, তখন মীমাংসা কর ন্যায় ভিত্তিক। আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে সদুপদেশ দান করেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, দর্শনকারী।
Allah doth command you to render back your Trusts to those to whom they are due; And when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: Verily how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! For Allah is He Who heareth and seeth all things. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |
| 15 |
বস্তুতঃ আমি একমাত্র এই উদ্দেশ্যেই রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, যাতে আল্লাহর নির্দেশানুযায়ী তাঁদের আদেশ-নিষেধ মান্য করা হয়। আর সেসব লোক যখন নিজেদের অনিষ্ট সাধন করেছিল, তখন যদি আপনার কাছে আসত অতঃপর আল্লাহর নিকট ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করত এবং রসূলও যদি তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করিয়ে দিতেন। অবশ্যই তারা আল্লাহকে ক্ষমাকারী, মেহেরবানরূপে পেত।
We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |
| 16 |
অতএব, আশা করা যায়, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করবেন। আল্লাহ মার্জনাকারী, ক্ষমাশীল।
For these, there is hope that Allah will forgive: For Allah doth blot out (sins) and forgive again and again. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৯৯) |
| 17 |
আল্লাহ কোন মন্দ বিষয় প্রকাশ করা পছন্দ করেন না। তবে কারো প্রতি জুলুম হয়ে থাকলে সে কথা আলাদা। আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, বিজ্ঞ।
Allah loveth not that evil should be noised abroad in public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for Allah is He who heareth and knoweth all things. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৪৮) |
| 18 |
তোমরা যদি কল্যাণ কর প্রকাশ্যভাবে কিংবা গোপনে অথবা যদি তোমরা আপরাধ ক্ষমা করে দাও, তবে জেনো, আল্লাহ নিজেও ক্ষমাকারী, মহাশক্তিশালী।
Whether ye publish a good deed or conceal it or cover evil with pardon, verily Allah doth blot out (sins) and hath power (in the judgment of values). |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৪৯) |
| 19 |
কিন্তু যারা তাদের মধ্যে জ্ঞানপক্ক ও ঈমানদার, তারা তাও মান্য করে যা আপনার উপর অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে এবং যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে আপনার পূর্বে। আর যারা নামাযে অনুবর্তিতা পালনকারী, যারা যাকাত দানকারী এবং যারা আল্লাহ ও কেয়ামতে আস্থাশীল। বস্তুতঃ এমন লোকদেরকে আমি দান করবো মহাপুণ্য।
But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what was revealed before thee: And (especially) those who establish regular prayer and practise regular charity and believe in Allah and in the Last Day: To them shall We soon give a great reward. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৬২) |
| 20 |
কিন্তু যারা তোমাদের গ্রেফতারের পূর্বে তওবা করে; জেনে রাখ, আল্লাহ ক্ষমাকারী, দয়ালু।
Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 21 |
হে মুমিনগণ, তোমাদের মধ্যে যে স্বীয় ধর্ম থেকে ফিরে যাবে, অচিরে আল্লাহ এমন সম্প্রদায় সৃষ্টি করবেন, যাদেরকে তিনি ভালবাসবেন এবং তারা তাঁকে ভালবাসবে। তারা মুসলমানদের প্রতি বিনয়-নম্র হবে এবং কাফেরদের প্রতি কঠোর হবে। তারা আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদ করবে এবং কোন তিরস্কারকারীর তিরস্কারে ভীত হবে না। এটি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ-তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা দান করেন। আল্লাহ প্রাচুর্য দানকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী।
O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৫৪) |
| 22 |
আপনার প্রতিপালকের বাক্য পূর্ণ সত্য ও সুষম। তাঁর বাক্যের কোন পরিবর্তনকারী নেই। তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী।
The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ১১৫) |
| 23 |
আর যারা মন্দ কাজ করে, তারপরে তওবা করে নেয় এবং ঈমান নিয়ে আসে, তবে নিশ্চয়ই তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার তওবার পর অবশ্য ক্ষমাকারী, করুণাময়।
But those who do wrong but repent thereafter and (truly) believe,- verily thy Lord is thereafter Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৫৩) |
| 24 |
আর যদি শয়তানের প্ররোচনা তোমাকে প্ররোচিত করে, তাহলে আল্লাহর শরণাপন্ন হও তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী।
If a suggestion from Satan assail thy (mind), seek refuge with Allah; for He heareth and knoweth (all things). |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২০০) |
| 25 |
আর যখন তোমরা ছিলে সমরাঙ্গনের এ প্রান্তে আর তারা ছিল সে প্রান্তে অথচ কাফেলা তোমাদের থেকে নীচে নেমে গিয়েছিল। এমতাবস্থায় যদি তোমরা পারস্পরিক অঙ্গীকারাবদ্ধ হতে, তবে তোমরা এক সঙ্গে সে ওয়াদা পালন করতে পারতে না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা’আলা এমন এক কাজ করতে চেয়েছিলেন, যা নির্ধারিত হয়ে গিয়েছিল যাতে সে সব লোক নিহত হওয়ার ছিল, প্রমাণ প্রতিষ্ঠার পর এবং যাদের বাঁচার ছিল, তারা বেঁচে থাকে প্রমাণ প্রতিষ্ঠার পর। আর নিশ্চিতই আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, বিজ্ঞ।
Remember ye were on the hither side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on lower ground than ye. Even if ye had made a mutual appointment to meet, ye would certainly have failed in the appointment: But (thus ye met), that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted; that those who died might die after a clear Sign (had been given), and those who lived might live after a Clear Sign (had been given). And verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৪২) |
| 26 |
তার কারণ এই যে, আল্লাহ কখনও পরিবর্তন করেন না, সে সব নেয়ামত, যা তিনি কোন জাতিকে দান করেছিলেন, যতক্ষণ না সে জাতি নিজেই পরিবর্তিত করে দেয় নিজের জন্য নির্ধারিত বিষয়। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী।
"Because Allah will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls: and verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things)." |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৫৩) |
| 27 |
আবার কোন কোন বেদুইন এমন ও রয়েছে যারা নিজেদের ব্যয় করাকে জরিমানা। বলে গন্য করে এবং তোমার উপর কোন দুর্দিন আসে কিনা সে অপেক্ষায় থাকে। তাদেরই উপর দুর্দিন আসুক। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন শ্রবণকারী, পরিজ্ঞাত।
Some of the desert Arabs look upon their payments as a fine, and watch for disasters for you: on them be the disaster of evil: for Allah is He That heareth and knoweth (all things). |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৮) |
| 28 |
তারা কি একথা জানতে পারেনি যে, আল্লাহ নিজেই স্বীয় বান্দাদের তওবা কবুল করেন এবং যাকাত গ্রহণ করেন? বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহই তওবা কবুলকারী, করুণাময়।
Know they not that Allah doth accept repentance from His votaries and receives their gifts of charity, and that Allah is verily He, the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful? |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৪) |
| 29 |
তারা তওবাকারী, এবাদতকারী, শোকরগোযার, (দুনিয়ার সাথে) সম্পর্কচ্ছেদকারী, রুকু ও সিজদা আদায়কারী, সৎকাজের আদেশ দানকারী ও মন্দ কাজ থেকে নিবৃতকারী এবং আল্লাহর দেওয়া সীমাসমূহের হেফাযতকারী। বস্তুতঃ সুসংবাদ দাও ঈমানদারদেরকে।
Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the cause of Allah,: that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limit set by Allah;- (These do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১১২) |
| 30 |
আর তাদের কথায় দুঃখ নিয়ো না। আসলে সমস্ত ক্ষমতা আল্লাহর। তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ।
Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honour belong to Allah: It is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). |
(ইউনুস:
আয়াতঃ ৬৫) |
| 31 |
যে সকল বস্তু তোমরা চেয়েছ, তার প্রত্যেকটি থেকেই তিনি তোমাদেরকে দিয়েছেন। যদি আল্লাহর নেয়ামত গণনা কর, তবে গুণে শেষ করতে পারবে না। নিশ্চয় মানুষ অত্যন্ত অন্যায়কারী, অকৃতজ্ঞ।
And He giveth you of all that ye ask for. But if ye count the favours of Allah, never will ye be able to number them. Verily, man is given up to injustice and ingratitude. |
(ইব্রাহীম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 32 |
তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও দয়া না থাকলে এবং আল্লাহ তওবা কবুল কারী, প্রজ্ঞাময় না হলে কত কিছুই যে হয়ে যেত।
If it were not for Allah's grace and mercy on you, and that Allah is Oft-Returning, full of Wisdom,- (Ye would be ruined indeed). |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 33 |
তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা উচ্চমর্যাদা ও আর্থিক প্রাচুর্যের অধিকারী, তারা যেন কসম না খায় যে, তারা আত্নীয়-স্বজনকে, অভাবগ্রস্তকে এবং আল্লাহর পথে হিজরতকারীদেরকে কিছুই দেবে না। তাদের ক্ষমা করা উচিত এবং দোষক্রটি উপেক্ষা করা উচিত। তোমরা কি কামনা কর না যে, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেন? আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম করুণাময়।
Let not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 34 |
বলুন, আমাদের পালনকর্তা আমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন, অতঃপর তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে সঠিকভাবে ফয়সালা করবেন। তিনি ফয়সালাকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ।
Say: "Our Lord will gather us together and will in the end decide the matter between us (and you) in truth and justice: and He is the one to decide, the One Who knows all." |
(সাবা:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 35 |
বলুন, হে আমার বিশ্বাসী বান্দাগণ! তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় কর। যারা এ দুনিয়াতে সৎকাজ করে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে পুণ্য। আল্লাহর পৃথিবী প্রশস্ত। যারা সবরকারী, তারাই তাদের পুরস্কার পায় অগণিত।
Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord, good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world. Spacious is Allah's earth! those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!" |
(আল-যুমার:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 36 |
পাপ ক্ষমাকারী, তওবা কবুলকারী, কঠোর শাস্তিদাতা ও সামর্থ?476;ান। তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। তাঁরই দিকে হবে প্রত্যাবর্তন।
Who forgiveth sin, accepteth repentance, is strict in punishment, and hath a long reach (in all things). there is no god but He: to Him is the final goal. |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৩) |
| 37 |
তিনিই সুউচ্চ মর্যাদার অধিকারী, আরশের মালিক, তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার প্রতি ইচ্ছা তত্ত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়াদি নাযিল করেন, যাতে সে সাক্ষাতের দিন সম্পর্কে সকলকে সতর্ক করে।
Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting,- |

ফেরাউন গোত্রের এক মুমিন ব্যক্তি, যে তার ঈমান গোপন রাখত, সে বলল, তোমরা কি একজনকে এজন্যে হত্যা করবে যে, সে বলে, আমার পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ, অথচ সে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার নিকট থেকে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ তোমাদের নিকট আগমন করেছে? যদি সে মিথ্যাবাদী হয়, তবে তার মিথ্যাবাদিতা তার উপরই চাপবে, আর যদি সে সত্যবাদী হয়, তবে সে যে শাস্তির কথা বলছে, তার কিছু না কিছু তোমাদের উপর পড়বেই। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সীমালংঘনকারী, মিথ্যাবাদীকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies! |

ইতিপূর্বে তোমাদের কাছে ইউসুফ সুস্পষ্ট প্রামাণাদিসহ আগমন করেছিল, অতঃপর তোমরা তার আনীত বিষয়ে সন্দেহই পোষণ করতে। অবশেষে যখন সে মারা গেল, তখন তোমরা বলতে শুরু করলে, আল্লাহ ইউসুফের পরে আর কাউকে রসূলরূপে পাঠাবেন না। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ সীমালংঘনকারী, সংশয়ী ব্যক্তিকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন।
"And to you there came Joseph in times gone by, with Clear Signs, but ye ceased not to doubt of the (Mission) for which he had come: At length, when he died, ye said: 'No messenger will Allah send after him.' thus doth Allah leave to stray such as transgress and live in doubt,- |

এরই সুসংবাদ দেন আল্লাহ তার সেসব বান্দাকে, যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে। বলুন, আমি আমার দাওয়াতের জন্যে তোমাদের কাছে কেবল আত্নীয়তাজনিত সৌহার্দ চাই। যে কেউ উত্তম কাজ করে, আমি তার জন্যে তাতে পুণ্য বাড়িয়ে দেই। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাকারী, গুণগ্রাহী।
That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this except the love of those near of kin." And if any one earns any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service). |

তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে বাতাসকে থামিয়ে দেন। তখন জাহাজসমূহ সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠে নিশ্চল হয়ে পড়ে যেন পাহাড়। নিশ্চয় এতে প্রত্যেক সবরকারী, কৃতজ্ঞের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
If it be His Will He can still the Wind: then would they become motionless on the back of the (ocean). Verily in this are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful. |

মুমিনগণ, তোমরা অনেক ধারণা থেকে বেঁচে থাক। নিশ্চয় কতক ধারণা গোনাহ। এবং গোপনীয় বিষয় সন্ধান করো না। তোমাদের কেউ যেন কারও পশ্চাতে নিন্দা না করে। তোমাদের কেউ কি তারা মৃত ভ্রাতার মাংস ভক্ষণ করা পছন্দ করবে? বস্তুতঃ তোমরা তো একে ঘৃণাই কর। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তওবা কবুলকারী, পরম দয়ালু।
O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it... But fear Allah: For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

যে বাধা দিত মঙ্গলজনক কাজে, সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী, সন্দেহ পোষণকারীকে।
"Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; |

তারা আমার সকল নিদর্শনের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। অতঃপর আমি পরাভূতকারী, পরাক্রমশালীর ন্যায় তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করলাম।
The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. |

তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা তাদের স্ত্রীগণকে মাতা বলে ফেলে, তাদের স্ত্রীগণ তাদের মাতা নয়। তাদের মাতা কেবল তারাই, যারা তাদেরকে জন্মদান করেছে। তারা তো অসমীচীন ও ভিত্তিহীন কথাই বলে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ মার্জনাকারী, ক্ষমাশীল।
If any men among you divorce their wives by Zihar (calling them mothers), they cannot be their mothers: None can be their mothers except those who gave them birth. And in fact they use words (both) iniquitous and false: but truly Allah is one that blots out (sins), and forgives (again and again). |

আর যারা অন্যায়কারী, তারা তো জাহান্নামের ইন্ধন।
'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- |

তোমাদের নিদ্রাকে করেছি ক্লান্তি দূরকারী,
And made your sleep for rest, |

One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, |
