আর আল্লাহ তা’আলা শিখালেন আদমকে সমস্ত বস্তু-সামগ্রীর নাম। তারপর সে সমস্ত বস্তু-সামগ্রীকে ফেরেশতাদের সামনে উপস্থাপন করলেন। অতঃপর বললেন, আমাকে তোমরা এগুলোর নাম বলে দাও, যদি তোমরা সত্য হয়ে থাক।
And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right." |
(আল বাকারা:

অতঃপর হযরত আদম (আঃ) স্বীয় পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে কয়েকটি কথা শিখে নিলেন, অতঃপর আল্লাহ পাক তাঁর প্রতি (করুণাভরে) লক্ষ্য করলেন। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি মহা-ক্ষমাশীল ও অসীম দয়ালু।
Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord Turned towards him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

যখন তাদের কাছে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে একজন রসূল আগমন করলেন-যিনি ঐ কিতাবের সত্যায়ন করেন, যা তাদের কাছে রয়েছে, তখন আহলে কেতাবদের একদল আল্লাহর গ্রন্থকে পশ্চাতে নিক্ষেপ করল-যেন তারা জানেই না।
And when there came to them a messenger from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know! |

যখন ইব্রাহীমকে তাঁর পালনকর্তা কয়েকটি বিষয়ে পরীক্ষা করলেন, অতঃপর তিনি তা পূর্ণ করে দিলেন, তখন পালনকর্তা বললেন, আমি তোমাকে মানবজাতির নেতা করব। তিনি বললেন, আমার বংশধর থেকেও! তিনি বললেন আমার অঙ্গীকার অত্যাচারীদের পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাবে না।
And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers." |

সকল মানুষ একই জাতি সত্তার অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তা’আলা পয়গম্বর পাঠালেন সুসংবাদদাতা ও ভীতি প্রদর্শনকরী হিসাবে। আর তাঁদের সাথে অবর্তীণ করলেন সত্য কিতাব, যাতে মানুষের মাঝে বিতর্কমূলক বিষয়ে মীমাংসা করতে পারেন। বস্তুতঃ কিতাবের ব্যাপারে অন্য কেউ মতভেদ করেনি; কিন্তু পরিষ্কার নির্দেশ এসে যাবার পর নিজেদের পারস্পরিক জেদবশতঃ তারাই করেছে, যারা কিতাব প্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ ঈমানদারদেরকে হেদায়েত করেছেন সেই সত্য বিষয়ে, যে ব্যাপারে তারা মতভেদ লিপ্ত হয়েছিল। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা, সরল পথ বাতলে দেন।
Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guided whom He will to a path that is straight. |

তারপর ঈমানদাররা আল্লাহর হুকুমে জালূতের বাহিনীকে পরাজিত করে দিল এবং দাউদ জালূতকে হত্যা করল। আর আল্লাহ দাউদকে দান করলেন রাজ্য ও অভিজ্ঞতা। আর তাকে যা চাইলেন শিখালেন। আল্লাহ যদি একজনকে অপরজনের দ্বারা প্রতিহত না করতেন, তাহলে গোটা দুনিয়া বিধ্বস্ত হয়ে যেতো। কিন্তু বিশ্ববাসীর প্রতি আল্লাহ একান্তই দয়ালু, করুণাময়।
By Allah's will they routed them; and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him power and wisdom and taught him whatever (else) He willed. And did not Allah Check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief: But Allah is full of bounty to all the worlds. |

অতঃপর তাঁর পালনকর্তা তাঁকে উত্তম ভাবে গ্রহণ করে নিলেন এবং তাঁকে প্রবৃদ্ধি দান করলেন-অত্যন্ত সুন্দর প্রবৃদ্ধি। আর তাঁকে যাকারিয়ার তত্ত্বাবধানে সমর্পন করলেন। যখনই যাকারিয়া মেহরাবের মধ্যে তার কছে আসতেন তখনই কিছু খাবার দেখতে পেতেন। জিজ্ঞেস করতেন "মারইয়াম! কোথা থেকে এসব তোমার কাছে এলো?" তিনি বলতেন, "এসব আল্লাহর নিকট থেকে আসে। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা বেহিসাব রিযিক দান করেন।"
Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure." |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |

সেখানেই যাকারিয়া তাঁর পালনকর্তার নিকট প্রার্থনা করলেন। বললেন, হে, আমার পালনকর্তা! তোমার নিকট থেকে আমাকে পুত-পবিত্র সন্তান দান কর-নিশ্চয়ই তুমি প্রার্থনা শ্রবণকারী।
There did Zakariya pray to his Lord, saying: "O my Lord! Grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure: for Thou art He that heareth prayer! |

আর আল্লাহ যখন নবীগনের কাছ থেকে অস্বীকার গ্রহন করলেন যে, আমি যা কিছু তোমাদের দান করেছি কিতাব ও জ্ঞান এবং অতঃপর তোমাদের নিকট কোন রসূল আসেন তোমাদের কিতাবকে সত্য বলে দেয়ার জন্য, তখন সে রসূলের প্রতি ঈমান আনবে এবং তার সাহায্য করবে। তিনি বললেন, ‘তোমার কি অঙ্গীকার করছো এবং এই শর্তে আমার ওয়াদা গ্রহণ করে নিয়েছ? তারা বললো, ‘আমরা অঙ্গীকার করেছি’। তিনি বললেন, তাহলে এবার সাক্ষী থাক। আর আমিও তোমাদের সাথে সাক্ষী রইলাম।
Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." |

আর আপনি যখন পরিজনদের কাছ থেকে সকাল বেলা বেরিয়ে গিয়ে মুমিনগণকে যুদ্ধের অবস্থানে বিন্যস্ত করলেন, আর আল্লাহ সব বিষয়েই শোনেন এবং জানেন।
Remember that morning Thou didst leave Thy household (early) to post the faithful at their stations for battle: And Allah heareth and knoweth all things: |

আয়াতঃ ১২১) |

বস্তুতঃ এটা তো আল্লাহ তোমাদের সুসংবাদ দান করলেন, যাতে তোমাদের মনে এতে সান্ত্বনা আসতে পারে। আর সাহায্য শুধুমাত্র পরাক্রান্ত, মহাজ্ঞানী আল্লাহরই পক্ষ থেকে,
Allah made it but a message of hope for you, and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah. The Exalted, the Wise: |

অতঃপর তোমাদের উপর শোকের পর শান্তি অবতীর্ণ করলেন, যা ছিল তন্দ্রার মত। সে তন্দ্রায় তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ ঝিমোচ্ছিল আর কেউ কেউ প্রাণের ভয়ে ভাবছিল। আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে তাদের মিথ্যা ধারণা হচ্ছিল মুর্খদের মত। তারা বলছিল আমাদের হাতে কি কিছুই করার নেই? তুমি বল, সবকিছুই আল্লাহর হাতে। তারা যা কিছু মনে লুকিয়ে রাখে-তোমার নিকট প্রকাশ করে না সে সবও। তারা বলে আমাদের হাতে যদি কিছু করার থাকতো, তাহলে আমরা এখানে নিহত হতাম না। তুমি বল, তোমরা যদি নিজেদের ঘরেও থাকতে তবুও তারা অবশ্যই বেরিয়ে আসত নিজেদের অবস্থান থেকে যাদের মৃত্যু লিখে দেয়া হয়েছে। তোমাদের বুকে যা রয়েছে তার পরীক্ষা করা ছিল আল্লাহর ইচ্ছা, আর তোমাদের অন্তরে যা কিছু রয়েছে তা পরিষ্কার করা ছিল তাঁর কাম্য। আল্লাহ মনের গোপন বিষয় জানেন।
After (the excitement) of the distress, He sent down calm on a band of you overcome with slumber, while another band was stirred to anxiety by their own feelings, Moved by wrong suspicions of Allah-suspicions due to ignorance. They said: "What affair is this of ours?" Say thou: "Indeed, this affair is wholly Allah's." They hide in their minds what they dare not reveal to thee. They say (to themselves): "If we had had anything to do with this affair, We should not have been in the slaughter here." Say: "Even if you had remained in your homes, those for whom death was decreed would certainly have gone forth to the place of their death"; but (all this was) that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purge what is in your hearts. For Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts. |

আর আল্লাহ যখন আহলে কিতাবদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিজ্ঞা গ্রহণ করলেন যে, তা মানুষের নিকট বর্ণনা করবে এবং গোপন করবে না, তখন তারা সে প্রতিজ্ঞাকে নিজেদের পেছনে ফেলে রাখল আর তার কেনা-বেচা করল সামান্য মূল্যের বিনিময়ে। সুতরাং কতই না মন্দ তাদের এ বেচা-কেনা।
And remember Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And vile was the bargain they made! |

আয়াতঃ ১৮৭) |

আল্লাহ এক কাক প্রেরণ করলেন। সে মাটি খনন করছিল যাতে তাকে শিক্ষা দেয় যে, আপন ভ্রাতার মৃতদেহ কিভাবে আবৃত করবে। সে বললঃ আফসোস, আমি কি এ কাকের সমতুল্যও হতে পারলাম না যে, আপন ভ্রাতার মৃতদেহ আবৃত করি। অতঃপর সে অনুতাপ করতে লাগল।
Then Allah sent a raven, who scratched the ground, to show him how to hide the shame of his brother. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets- |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৩১) |
| 15 |
তারা ধারণা করেছে যে, কোন অনিষ্ট হবে না। ফলে তারা আরও অন্ধ ও বধির হয়ে গেল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদের তওবা কবুল করলেন। এরপরও তাদের অধিকাংশই অন্ধ ও বধির হয়ে রইল। আল্লাহ দেখেন তারা যা কিছু করে।
They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৭১) |
| 16 |
আমি তো তাদেরকে কিছুই বলিনি, শুধু সে কথাই বলেছি যা আপনি বলতে আদেশ করেছিলেন যে, তোমরা আল্লাহর দাসত্ব অবলম্বন কর যিনি আমার ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা আমি তাদের সম্পর্কে অবগত ছিলাম যতদিন তাদের মধ্যে ছিলাম। অতঃপর যখন আপনি আমাকে লোকান্তরিত করলেন, তখন থেকে আপনিই তাদের সম্পর্কে অবগত রয়েছেন। আপনি সর্ববিষয়ে পূর্ণ পরিজ্ঞাত।
"Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১১৭) |
| 17 |
তখন তিনি নিক্ষেপ করলেন নিজের লাঠিখানা এবং তাৎক্ষণাৎ তা জলজ্যান্ত এক অজগরে রূপান্তরিত হয়ে গেল।
Then (Moses) threw his rod, and behold! it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৭) |
| 18 |
আর বের করলেন নিজের হাত এবং তা সঙ্গে সঙ্গে দর্শকদের চোখে ধবধবে উজ্জ্বল দেখাতে লাগল।
And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white to all beholders! |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৮) |

আর যখন তোমার পালনকর্তা বনী আদমের পৃষ্টদেশ থেকে বের করলেন তাদের সন্তানদেরকে এবং নিজের উপর তাদেরকে প্রতিজ্ঞা করালেন, আমি কি তোমাদের পালনকর্তা নই ? তারা বলল, অবশ্যই, আমরা অঙ্গীকার করছি। আবার না কেয়ামতের দিন বলতে শুরু কর যে, এ বিষয়টি আমাদের জানা ছিল না।
When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful": |

আয়াতঃ ১৭২) |
| 20 |
তোমরা যখন ফরিয়াদ করতে আরম্ভ করেছিলে স্বীয় পরওয়ারদেগারের নিকট, তখন তিনি তোমাদের ফরিয়াদের মঞ্জুরী দান করলেন যে, আমি তোমাদিগকে সাহায্য করব ধারাবহিকভাবে আগত হাজার ফেরেশতার মাধ্যমে।
Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks." |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 21 |
আর আল্লাহ তো শুধু সুসংবাদ দান করলেন যাতে তোমাদের মন আশ্বস্ত হতে পারে। আর সাহায্য আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে ছাড়া অন্য কারো পক্ষ থেকে হতে পারে না। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ মহাশক্তির অধিকারী হেকমত ওয়ালা।
Allah made it but a message of hope, and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah: and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 22 |
যদি তোমরা তাকে (রসূলকে) সাহায্য না কর, তবে মনে রেখো, আল্লাহ তার সাহায্য করেছিলেন, যখন তাকে কাফেররা বহিষ্কার করেছিল, তিনি ছিলেন দু’জনের একজন, যখন তারা গুহার মধ্যে ছিলেন। তখন তিনি আপন সঙ্গীকে বললেন বিষন্ন হয়ো না, আল্লাহ আমাদের সাথে আছেন। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তার প্রতি স্বীয় সান্তনা নাযিল করলেন এবং তাঁর সাহায্যে এমন বাহিনী পাঠালেন, যা তোমরা দেখনি। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ কাফেরদের মাথা নীচু করে দিলেন আর আল্লাহর কথাই সদা সমুন্নত এবং আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
If ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, "Have no fear, for Allah is with us": then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 23 |
অতঃপর যখন ইব্রাহীম (আঃ) এর আতঙ্ক দূর হল এবং তিনি সুসংবাদ প্রাপ্ত হলেন, তখন তিনি আমার সাথে তর্ক শুরু করলেন কওমে লূত সম্পর্কে।
When fear had passed from (the mind of) Abraham and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with us for Lut's people. |

আয়াতঃ ৭৪) |
| 24 |
অতঃপর তার পালনকর্তা তার দোয়া কবুল করে নিলেন। অতঃপর তাদের চক্রান্ত প্রতিহত করলেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা ও সর্বজ্ঞ।
So his Lord hearkened to him (in his prayer), and turned away from him their snare: Verily He heareth and knoweth (all things). |
(ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 25 |
অতঃপর ইউসুফ আপন ভাইদের থলের পূর্বে তাদের থলে তল্লাশী শুরু করলেন। অবশেষে সেই পাত্র আপন ভাইয়ের থলের মধ্য থেকে বের করলেন। এমনিভাবে আমি ইউসুফকে কৌশল শিক্ষা দিয়েছিলাম। সে বাদশাহর আইনে আপন ভাইকে কখনও দাসত্বে দিতে পারত না, কিু栦#2438;ল্লাহ যদি ইচ্ছা করেন। আমি যাকে ইচ্ছা, মর্যাদায় উন্নীত করি এবং প্রত্যেক জ্ঞানীর উপরে আছে অধিকতর এক জ্ঞানীজন।
So he began (the search) with their baggage, before (he came to) the baggage of his brother: at length he brought it out of his brother's baggage. Thus did We plan for Joseph. He could not take his brother by the law of the king except that Allah willed it (so). We raise to degrees (of wisdom) whom We please: but over all endued with knowledge is one, the All-Knowing. |
(ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৬) |
| 26 |
যখন তোমাদের পালনকর্তা ঘোষণা করলেন যে, যদি কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার কর, তবে তোমাদেরকে আরও দেব এবং যদি অকৃতজ্ঞ হও তবে নিশ্চয়ই আমার শাস্তি হবে কঠোর।
And remember! your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): "If ye are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you; But if ye show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed." |
(ইব্রাহীম:
আয়াতঃ ৭) |
| 27 |
কাফেররা পয়গম্বরগণকে বলেছিলঃ আমরা তোমাদেরকে দেশ থেকে বের করে দেব অথবা তোমরা আমাদের ধর্মে ফিরে আসবে। তখন তাদের কাছে তাদের পালনকর্তা ওহী প্রেরণ করলেন যে, আমি জালিমদেরকে অবশ্যই ধ্বংস করে দেব।
And the Unbelievers said to their messengers: "Be sure we shall drive you out of our land, or ye shall return to our religion." But their Lord inspired (this Message) to them: "Verily We shall cause the wrong-doers to perish! |
(ইব্রাহীম:
আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 28 |
অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগলঃ অবশেষে যখন তারা নৌকায় আরোহণ করল, তখন তিনি তাতে ছিদ্র করে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি কি এর আরোহীদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দেয়ার জন্যে এতে ছিদ্র করে দিলেন? নিশ্চয়ই আপনি একটি গুরুতর মন্দ কাজ করলেন।
So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!" |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৭১) |

অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল। অবশেষে যখন একটি বালকের সাক্ষাত পেলেন, তখন তিনি তাকে হত্যা করলেন। মূসা বললেন? আপনি কি একটি নিস্পাপ জীবন শেষ করে দিলেন প্রাণের বিনিময় ছাড়াই? নিশ্চয়ই আপনি তো এক গুরুতর অন্যায় কাজ করলেন।
Then they proceeded: until, when they met a young man, he slew him. Moses said: "Hast thou slain an innocent person who had slain none? Truly a foul (unheard of) thing hast thou done!" |

প্রাচীরের ব্যাপার-সেটি ছিল নগরের দুজন পিতৃহীন বালকের। এর নীচে ছিল তাদের গুপ্তধন এবং তাদের পিতা ছিল সৎকর্ম পরায়ন। সুতরাং আপনার পালনকর্তা দায়বশতঃ ইচ্ছা করলেন যে, তারা যৌবনে পদার্পন করুক এবং নিজেদের গুপ্তধন উদ্ধার করুক। আমি নিজ মতে এটা করিনি। আপনি যে বিষয়ে ধৈর্য্যধারণ করতে অক্ষম হয়েছিলেন, এই হল তার ব্যাখ্যা।
"As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience." |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৮২) |

অতঃপর তিনি এক কার্যোপকরণ অবলম্বন করলেন।
One (such) way he followed, |

আয়াতঃ ৮৫) |

অতঃপর তিনি এক উপায় অবলম্বন করলেন।
Then followed he (another) way, |

আয়াতঃ ৮৯) |

অতঃপর তিনি গর্ভে সন্তান ধারণ করলেন এবং তৎসহ এক দূরবর্তী স্থানে চলে গেলেন।
So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place. |
(মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 34 |
অতঃপর তিনি হাতে সন্তানের দিকে ইঙ্গিত করলেন। তারা বললঃ যে কোলের শিশু তার সাথে আমরা কেমন করে কথা বলব?
But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?" |

অতঃপর তিনি যখন তাদেরকে এবং তার আল্লাহ ব্যতীত যাদের এবাদত করত, তাদের সবাইকে পরিত্যাগ করলেন, তখন আমি তাকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুব এবং প্রত্যেককে নবী করলাম।
When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet. |

অতঃপর তিনি তা নিক্ষেপ করলেন, অমনি তা সাপ হয়ে ছুটাছুটি করতে লাগল।
He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 37 |
অতঃপর মূসা মনে মনে কিছুটা ভীতি অনুভব করলেন।
So Moses conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৬৭) |
| 38 |
এরপর তার পালনকর্তা তাকে মনোনীত করলেন, তার প্রতি মনোযোগী হলেন এবং তাকে সুপথে আনয়ন করলেন।
But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১২২) |
| 39 |
সে বলবেঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে কেন অন্ধ অবস্থায় উত্থিত করলেন? আমি তো চক্ষুমান ছিলাম।
He will say: "O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?" |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১২৫) |
| 40 |
যদি আমি এদেরকে ইতিপূর্বে কোন শাস্তি দ্বারা ধ্বংস করতাম, তবে এরা বলতঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আপনি আমাদের কাছে একজন রসূল প্রেরণ করলেন না কেন? তাহলে তো আমরা অপমানিত ও হেয় হওয়ার পূর্বেই আপনার নিদর্শন সমূহ মেনে চলতাম।
And if We had inflicted on them a penalty before this, they would have said: "Our Lord! If only Thou hadst sent us a messenger, we should certainly have followed Thy Signs before we were humbled and put to shame." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১৩৪) |
| 41 |
এবং মাছওয়ালার কথা স্মরণ করুন তিনি ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে চলে গিয়েছিলেন, অতঃপর মনে করেছিলেন যে, আমি তাঁকে ধৃত করতে পারব না। অতঃপর তিনি অন্ধকারের মধ্যে আহবান করলেনঃ তুমি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই; তুমি নির্দোষ আমি গুনাহগার।
And remember Zun-nun, when he departed in wrath: He imagined that We had no power over him! But he cried through the deptHs of darkness, "There is no god but thou: glory to thee: I was indeed wrong!" |

আর তিনি তার হাত বের করলেন, তৎক্ষণাৎ তা দর্শকদের কাছে সুশুভ্র প্রতিভাত হলো।
And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! |
(আশ-শো'আরা:

যখন মূসা যৌবনে পদার্পন করলেন এবং পরিণত বয়স্ক হয়ে গেলেন, তখন আমি তাঁকে প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞানদান করলাম। এমনিভাবে আমি সৎকর্মীদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি।
When he reached full age, and was firmly established (in life), We bestowed on him wisdom and knowledge: for thus do We reward those who do good. |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |

তিনি শহরে প্রবেশ করলেন, যখন তার অধিবাসীরা ছিল বেখবর। তথায় তিনি দুই ব্যক্তিকে লড়াইরত দেখলেন। এদের একজন ছিল তাঁর নিজ দলের এবং অন্য জন তাঁর শত্রু দলের। অতঃপর যে তাঁর নিজ দলের সে তাঁর শত্রু দলের লোকটির বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর কাছে সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করল। তখন মূসা তাকে ঘুষি মারলেন এবং এতেই তার মৃত্যু হয়ে গেল। মূসা বললেন, এটা শয়তানের কাজ। নিশ্চয় সে প্রকাশ্য শত্রু, বিভ্রান্তকারী।
And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!" |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ১৫) |

তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি তো নিজের উপর জুলুম করে ফেলেছি। অতএব, আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন। আল্লাহ তাকে ক্ষমা করলেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু।
He prayed: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do Thou then forgive me!" So (Allah) forgave him: for He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

অতঃপর বালিকাদ্বয়ের একজন লজ্জাজড়িত পদক্ষেপে তাঁর কাছে আগমন করল। বলল, আমার পিতা আপনাকে ডাকছেন, যাতে আপনি যে আমাদেরকে পানি পান করিয়েছেন, তার বিনিময়ে পুরস্কার প্রদান করেন। অতঃপর মূসা যখন তাঁর কাছে গেলেন এবং সমস্ত বৃত্তান্ত বর্ণনা করলেন, তখন তিনি বললেন, ভয় করো না, তুমি জালেম সম্প্রদায়ের কবল থেকে রক্ষা পেয়েছ।
Afterwards one of the (damsels) came (back) to him, walking bashfully. She said: "My father invites thee that he may reward thee for having watered (our flocks) for us." So when he came to him and narrated the story, he said: "Fear thou not: (well) hast thou escaped from unjust people." |

আয়াতঃ ২৫) |

তখন ইব্রাহীমের সম্প্রদায়ের এছাড়া কোন জওয়াব ছিল না যে তারা বলল, তাকে হত্যা কর অথবা অগ্নিদগ্ধ কর। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে অগ্নি থেকে রক্ষা করলেন। নিশ্চয় এতে বিশ্বাসী লোকদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
So naught was the answer of (Abraham's) people except that they said: "Slay him or burn him." But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe. |
(আল আনকাবুত:

অতঃপর তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলেন লূত। ইব্রাহীম বললেন, আমি আমার পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশে দেশত্যাগ করছি। নিশ্চয় তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
But Lut had faith in Him: He said: "I will leave home for the sake of my Lord: for He is Exalted in Might, and Wise." |
(আল আনকাবুত:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 49 |
কিতাবীদের মধ্যে যারা কাফেরদের পৃষ্টপোষকতা করেছিল, তাদেরকে তিনি তাদের দূর্গ থেকে নামিয়ে দিলেন এবং তাদের অন্তরে ভীতি নিক্ষেপ করলেন। ফলে তোমরা একদলকে হত্যা করছ এবং একদলকে বন্দী করছ।
And those of the People of the Book who aided them - Allah did take them down from their strongholds and cast terror into their hearts. (So that) some ye slew, and some ye made prisoners. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |

অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে তাদের চক্রান্তের অনিষ্ট থেকে রক্ষা করলেন এবং ফেরাউন গোত্রকে শোচনীয় আযাব গ্রাস করল।
Then Allah saved him from (every) ill that they plotted (against him), but the burnt of the Penalty encompassed on all sides the People of Pharaoh. |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৪৫) |
| 51 |
অতঃপর তিনি আকাশমন্ডলীকে দু’দিনে সপ্ত আকাশ করে দিলেন এবং প্রত্যেক আকাশে তার আদেশ প্রেরণ করলেন। আমি নিকটবর্তী আকাশকে প্রদীপমালা দ্বারা সুশোভিত ও সংরক্ষিত করেছি। এটা পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ আল্লাহর ব্যবস্থাপনা।
So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge. |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 52 |
আল্লাহ মুমিনদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হলেন, যখন তারা বৃক্ষের নীচে আপনার কাছে শপথ করল। আল্লাহ অবগত ছিলেন যা তাদের অন্তরে ছিল। অতঃপর তিনি তাদের প্রতি প্রশান্তি নাযিল করলেন এবং তাদেরকে আসন্ন বিজয় পুরস্কার দিলেন।
Allah's Good Pleasure was on the Believers when they swore Fealty to thee under the Tree: He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down Tranquillity to them; and He rewarded them with a speedy Victory; |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 53 |
কেননা, কাফেররা তাদের অন্তরে মূর্খতাযুগের জেদ পোষণ করত। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল ও মুমিনদের উপর স্বীয় প্রশান্তি নাযিল করলেন এবং তাদের জন্যে সংযমের দায়িত্ব অপরিহার্য করে দিলেন। বস্তুতঃ তারাই ছিল এর অধিকতর যোগ্য ও উপযুক্ত। আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে সম্যক জ্ঞাত।
While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things. |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 54 |
তখন আল্লাহ তাঁর দাসের প্রতি যা প্রত্যাদেশ করবার, তা প্রত্যাদেশ করলেন।
So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His Servant- (conveyed) what He (meant) to convey. |
(আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 55 |
অতঃপর তার পালনকর্তা তাকে মনোনীত করলেন এবং তাকে সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে নিলেন।
Thus did his Lord choose him and make him of the Company of the Righteous. |
(আল কলম:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 56 |
তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার রসূলকে অমান্য করেছিল। ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে কঠোরহস্তে পাকড়াও করলেন।
And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |

তিনি ভ্রূকুঞ্চিত করলেন এবং মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলেন।
(The Prophet) frowned and turned away, |
(আবাসা:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 58 |
আপনি তাকে অবজ্ঞা করলেন।
Of him wast thou unmindful. |
(আবাসা:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 59 |
অতঃপর আপনার পালনকর্তা তাদেরকে শাস্তির কশাঘাত করলেন।
Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements: |
