আমরা সবাই তাঁর আজ্ঞাবহ। তারা ছিল এক সম্প্রদায়-যারা গত হয়ে গেছে। তারা যা করেছে, তা তাদেরই জন্যে। তারা কি করত, সে সম্পর্কে তোমরা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে না।
That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case! |
(আল বাকারা:

আর এ কারণে যে, তারা সুদ গ্রহণ করত, অথচ এ ব্যাপারে নিষেধাজ্ঞা আরোপ করা হয়েছিল এবং এ কারণে যে, তারা অপরের সম্পদ ভোগ করতো অন্যায় ভাবে। বস্তুত; আমি কাফেরদের জন্য তৈরী করে রেখেছি বেদনাদায়ক আযাব।
That they took usury, though they were forbidden; and that they devoured men's substance wrongfully;- we have prepared for those among them who reject faith a grievous punishment. |

যখন তারা তোমাদের কাছে আসে তখন বলে দাওঃ আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। অথচ তারা কুফর নিয়ে এসেছিল এবং কুফর নিয়েই প্রস্থান করেছে। তারা যা গোপন করত, আল্লাহ তা খুব জানেন।
When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah knoweth fully all that they hide. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:

আর যদি আহলে-কিতাবরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করত এবং খোদাভীতি অবলম্বন করত, তবে আমি তাদের মন্দ বিষয়সমূহ ক্ষমা করে দিতাম এবং তাদেরকে নেয়ামতের উদ্যানসমূহে প্রবিষ্ট করতাম।
If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৫) |

যদি তারা তওরাত, ইঞ্জিল এবং যা প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে তাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে, পুরোপুরি পালন করত, তবে তারা উপর থেকে এবং পায়ের নীচ থেকে ভক্ষণ করত। তাদের কিছুসংখ্যক লোক সৎপথের অনুগামী এবং অনেকেই মন্দ কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:

যদি তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি ও রসূলের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ বিষয়ের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করত, তবে কাফেরদেরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করত না। কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই দুরাচার।
If only they had believed in Allah, in the Prophet, and in what hath been revealed to him, never would they have taken them for friends and protectors, but most of them are rebellious wrong-doers. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:

যদি আমি কাগজে লিখিত কোন বিষয় তাদের প্রতি নাযিল করতাম, অতঃপর তারা তা সহস্তে স্পর্শ করত, তবুও অবিশ্বাসীরা একথাই বলত যে, এটা প্রকাশ্য জাদু বৈ কিছু নয়।
If We had sent unto thee a written (message) on parchment, so that they could touch it with their hands, the Unbelievers would have been sure to say: "This is nothing but obvious magic!" |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৭) |
| 8 |
যদি আমি কোন ফেরেশতাকে রসূল করে পাঠাতাম, তবে সে মানুষের আকারেই হত। এতেও ঐ সন্দেহই করত, যা এখন করছে।
If We had made it an angel, We should have sent him as a man, and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |

দেখতো, কিভাবে মিথ্যা বলছে নিজেদের বিপক্ষে ? এবং যেসব বিষয় তারা আপনার প্রতি মিছামিছি রচনা করত, তা সবই উধাও হয়ে গেছে।
Behold! how they lie against their own souls! But the (lie) which they invented will leave them in the lurch. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ২৪) |

এবং তারা ইতি পূর্বে যা গোপন করত, তা তাদের সামনে প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়েছে। যদি তারা পুনঃ প্রেরিত হয়, তবুও তাই করবে, যা তাদেরকে নিষেধ করা হয়েছিল। নিশ্চয় তারা মিথ্যাবাদী।
Yea, in their own (eyes) will become manifest what before they concealed. But if they were returned, they would certainly relapse to the things they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |

এটি আল্লাহর হেদায়েত। স্বীয় বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা, এপথে চালান। যদি তারা শেরেকী করত, তবে তাদের কাজ কর্ম তাদের জন্যে ব্যর্থ হয়ে যেত।
This is the guidance of Allah: He giveth that guidance to whom He pleaseth, of His worshippers. If they were to join other gods with Him, all that they did would be vain for them. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৮৮) |
| 12 |
অতঃপর তারা তাকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করল। আমি তাকে এবং নৌকাস্থিত লোকদেরকে উদ্ধার করলাম এবং যারা মিথ্যারোপ করত, তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিলাম। নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল অন্ধ।
But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark: but We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people! |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |

তারা বললঃ তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে এজন্যে এসেছ যে আমরা এক আল্লাহর এবাদত করি এবং আমাদের বাপ-দাদা যাদের পূজা করত, তাদেরকে ছেড়ে দেই? অতএব নিয়ে আস আমাদের কাছে যাদ্দ্বারা আমাদেরকে ভয় দেখাচ্ছ, যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হও।
They said: "Comest thou to us, that we may worship Allah alone, and give up the cult of our fathers? bring us what thou threatenest us with, if so be that thou tellest the truth!" |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৭০) |

আর যদি সে জনপদের অধিবাসীরা ঈমান আনত এবং পরহেযগারী অবলম্বন করত, তবে আমি তাদের প্রতি আসমানী ও পার্থিব নেয়ামত সমূহ উম্মুক্ত করে দিতাম। কিন্তু তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে। সুতরাং আমি তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি তাদের কৃতকর্মের বদলাতে।
If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৬) |
| 15 |
অতএব, তারা যেসবের উপাসনা করে তুমি সে ব্যাপারে কোনরূপ ধোঁকায় পড়বে না। তাদের পূর্ববর্তী বাপ-দাদারা যেমন পূজা উপাসনা করত, এরাও তেমন করছে। আর নিশ্চয় আমি তাদেরকে আযাবের ভাগ কিছু মাত্রও কম না করেই পুরোপুরি দান করবো।
Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement. |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৯) |
| 16 |
সুতরাং তাদের মন্দ কাজের শাস্তি তাদেরই মাথায় আপতিত হয়েছে এবং তারা যে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত, তাই উল্টে তাদের উপর পড়েছে।
But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 17 |
বলুনঃ যদি পৃথিবীতে ফেরেশতারা স্বচ্ছন্দে বিচরণ করত, তবে আমি আকাশ থেকে কোন ফেরেশতাকেই তাদের নিকট পয়গাম্বর করে প্রেরণ করতাম।
Say, "If there were settled, on earth, angels walking about in peace and quiet, We should certainly have sent them down from the heavens an angel for a messenger." |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৯৫) |
| 18 |
অতঃপর তিনি যখন তাদেরকে এবং তার আল্লাহ ব্যতীত যাদের এবাদত করত, তাদের সবাইকে পরিত্যাগ করলেন, তখন আমি তাকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুব এবং প্রত্যেককে নবী করলাম।
When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet. |
(মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |
| 19 |
অতএব তারা তো মিথ্যারোপ করেছেই; সুতরাং যে বিষয় নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত, তার যথার্থ স্বরূপ শীঘ্রই তাদের কাছে পৌছবে।
They have indeed rejected (the Message): so they will know soon (enough) the truth of what they mocked at! |
(আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 20 |
আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে সে যার এবাদত করত, সেই তাকে ঈমান থেকে নিবৃত্ত করেছিল। নিশ্চয় সে কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল।
And he diverted her from the worship of others besides Allah: for she was (sprung) of a people that had no faith. |
(নমল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৩) |
| 21 |
অতঃপর কারুন জাঁকজমক সহকারে তার সম্প্রদায়ের সামনে বের হল। যারা পার্থিব জীবন কামনা করত, তারা বলল, হায়, কারুন যা প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে, আমাদেরকে যদি তা দেয়া হত! নিশ্চয় সে বড় ভাগ্যবান।
So he went forth among his people in the (pride of his wordly) glitter. Said those whose aim is the Life of this World: "Oh! that we had the like of what Qarun has got! for he is truly a lord of mighty good fortune!" |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৭৯) |
| 22 |
অতঃপর যারা মন্দ কর্ম করত, তাদের পরিণাম হয়েছে মন্দ। কারণ, তারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলত এবং সেগুলো নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করত।
In the long run evil in the extreme will be the End of those who do evil; for that they rejected the Signs of Allah, and held them up to ridicule. |
(আর-রূম:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 23 |
যদি শত্রুপক্ষ চতুর্দিক থেকে নগরে প্রবেশ করে তাদের সাথে মিলিত হত, অতঃপর বিদ্রোহ করতে প্ররোচিত করত, তবে তারা অবশ্যই বিদ্রোহ করত এবং তারা মোটেই বিলম্ব করত না।
And if an entry had been effected to them from the sides of the (city), and they had been incited to sedition, they would certainly have brought it to pass, with none but a brief delay! |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 24 |
আর দেখবে, তাদের দুস্কর্মসমূহ এবং যে বিষয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত, তা তাদেরকে ঘিরে নেবে।
For the evils of their Deeds will confront them, and they will be (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at! |
(আল-যুমার:
আয়াতঃ ৪৮) |
| 25 |
এর কারণ এই যে, তাদের কাছে তাদের রসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনাবলী নিয়ে আগমন করত, অতঃপর তারা কাফের হয়ে যায়, তখন আল্লাহ তাদের ধৃত করেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি শক্তিধর, কঠোর শাস্তিদাতা।
That was because there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs), but they rejected them: So Allah called them to account: for He is Full of Strength, Strict in Punishment. |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 26 |
পূর্বে তারা যাদের পূজা করত, তারা উধাও হয়ে যাবে এবং তারা বুঝে নেবে যে, তাদের কোন নিস্কৃতি নেই।
The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape. |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৪৮) |
| 27 |
আরও দিয়েছিলাম তাদেরকে ধর্মের সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি। অতঃপর তারা জ্ঞান লাভ করার পর শুধু পারস্পরিক জেদের বশবর্তী হয়ে মতভেদ সৃষ্টি করেছে। তারা যে বিষয়ে মতভেদ করত, আপনার পালনকর্তা কেয়ামতের দিন তার ফয়সালা করে দেবেন।
And We granted them Clear Signs in affairs (of Religion): it was only after knowledge had been granted to them that they fell into schisms, through insolent envy among themselves. Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment as to those matters in which they set up differences. |
(আল জাসিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 28 |
তাদের মন্দ কর্ম গুলো তাদের সামনে প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়বে এবং যে আযাব নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত, তা তাদেরকে গ্রাস করবে।
Then will appear to them the evil (fruits) of what they did, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at! |
(আল জাসিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৩৩) |
| 29 |
তারাই জান্নাতের অধিকারী! তারা তথায় চিরকাল থাকবে। তারা যে কর্ম করত, এটা তারই প্রতিফল।
Such shall be Companions of the Gardens, dwelling therein (for aye): a recompense for their (good) deeds. |
(আল আহক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 30 |
যদি কাফেররা তোমাদের মোকাবেলা করত, তবে অবশ্যই তারা পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন করত। তখন তারা কোন অভিভাবক ও সাহায্যকারী পেত না।
If the Unbelievers should fight you, they would certainly turn their backs; then would they find neither protector nor helper. |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 31 |
যদি তারা আপনার বের হয়ে তাদের কাছে আসা পর্যন্ত সবর করত, তবে তা-ই তাদের জন্যে মঙ্গলজনক হত। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
If only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them, it would be best for them: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আল হুজরাত:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 32 |
যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য উপাস্য গ্রহণ করত, তাকে তোমরা কঠিন শাস্তিতে নিক্ষেপ কর।
"Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." |
(ক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 33 |
রাতের শেষ প্রহরে তারা ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা করত,
And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; |
(আয-যারিয়াত:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 34 |
তারা যা কিছু করত, তার পুরস্কারস্বরূপ।
A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). |
(আল ওয়াক্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 35 |
সে যদি আমার নামে কোন কথা রচনা করত,
And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৪৪) |
| 36 |
তারা ধারণা করত, যেমন তোমরা মানবেরা ধারণা কর যে, মৃত্যুর পর আল্লাহ তা’আলা কখনও কাউকে পুনরুত্থিত করবেন না।
'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment). |
(আল জিন:
আয়াতঃ ৭) |
| 37 |
কাফেররা যা করত, তার প্রতিফল পেয়েছে তো?
Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did? |
(আত-তাতফীফ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৬) |
