অতঃপর যখন তাকে প্রসব করলো বলল, হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আমি একে কন্যা প্রসব করেছি। বস্তুতঃ কি সে প্রসব করেছে আল্লাহ তা ভালই জানেন। সেই কন্যার মত কোন পুত্রই যে নেই। আর আমি তার নাম রাখলাম মারইয়াম। আর আমি তাকে ও তার সন্তানদেরকে তোমার আশ্রয়ে সমর্পণ করছি। অভিশপ্ত শয়তানের কবল থেকে।
When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and Allah knew best what she brought forth- "And no wise is the male Like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected." |

তোমাদের জন্যে হারাম করা হয়েছে তোমাদের মাতা, তোমাদের কন্যা, তোমাদের বোন, তোমাদের ফুফু, তোমাদের খালা, ভ্রাতৃকণ্যা; ভগিনীকণ্যা তোমাদের সে মাতা, যারা তোমাদেরকে স্তন্যপান করিয়েছে, তোমাদের দুধ-বোন, তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের মাতা, তোমরা যাদের সাথে সহবাস করেছ সে স্ত্রীদের কন্যা যারা তোমাদের লালন-পালনে আছে। যদি তাদের সাথে সহবাস না করে থাক, তবে এ বিবাহে তোমাদের কোন গোনাহ নেই। তোমাদের ঔরসজাত পুত্রদের স্ত্রী এবং দুই বোনকে একত্রে বিবাহ করা; কিন্তু যা অতীত হয়ে গেছে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাকরী, দয়ালু।
Prohibited to you (For marriage) are:- Your mothers, daughters, sisters; father's sisters, Mother's sisters; brother's daughters, sister's daughters; foster-mothers (Who gave you suck), foster-sisters; your wives' mothers; your step-daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom ye have gone in,- no prohibition if ye have not gone in;- (Those who have been) wives of your sons proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;- |

তারা জিনদেরকে আল্লাহর অংশীদার স্থির করে; অথচ তাদেরকে তিনিই সৃস্টি করেছেন। তারা অজ্ঞতাবশতঃ আল্লাহর জন্যে পুত্র ও কন্যা সাব্যস্ত করে নিয়েছে। তিনি পবিত্র ও সমুন্নত, তাদের বর্ননা থেকে।
Yet they make the Jinns equals with Allah, though Allah did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him! |

আর তাঁর কওমের লোকেরা স্বতঃস্ফুর্তভাবে তার (গৃহ) পানে ছুটে আসতে লাগল। পূর্ব থেকেই তারা কু-কর্মে তৎপর ছিল। লূত (আঃ) বললেন-হে আমার কওম, এ আমার কন্যারা রয়েছে, এরা তোমাদের জন্য অধিক পবিত্রতমা। সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং অতিথিদের ব্যাপারে আমাকে লজ্জিত করো না, তোমাদের মধ্যে কি কোন ভাল মানুষ নেই।
And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?" |

তারা বলল ু তুমি তো জানই, তোমার কন্যাদের নিয়ে আমাদের কোন গরজ নেই। আর আমরা কি চাই, তাও তুমি অবশ্যই জান।
They said: "Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want!" |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৯) |

তিনি বললেনঃ যদি তোমরা একান্ত কিছু করতেই চাও, তবে আমার কন্যারা উপস্থিত আছে।
He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." |
(হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৭১) |
| 7 |
তারা আল্লাহর জন্যে কন্যা সন্তান নির্ধারণ করে-তিনি পবিত্র মহিমান্বিত এবং নিজেদের জন্যে ওরা তাই স্থির করে যা ওরা চায়।
And they assign daughters for Allah! - Glory be to Him! - and for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire! |

আয়াতঃ ৫৭) |

যখন তাদের কাউকে কন্যা সন্তানের সুসংবাদ দেয়া হয়, তখন তারা মুখ কাল হয়ে যায় এবং অসহ্য মনস্তাপে ক্লিষ্ট হতে থাকে।
When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! |

তোমাদের পালনকর্তা কি তোমাদের জন্যে পুত্র সন্তান নির্ধারিত করেছেন এবং নিজের জন্যে ফেরেশতাদেরকে কন্যারূপে গ্রহণ করেছেন? নিশ্চয় তোমরা গুরুতর গর্হিত কথাবার্তা বলছ।
Has then your Lord (O Pagans!) preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself daughters among the angels? Truly ye utter a most dreadful saying! |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |

পিতা মূসাকে বললেন, আমি আমার এই কন্যাদ্বয়ের একজনকে তোমার সাথে বিবাহে দিতে চাই এই শর্তে যে, তুমি আট বছর আমার চাকুরী করবে, যদি তুমি দশ বছর পূর্ণ কর, তা তোমার ইচ্ছা। আমি তোমাকে কষ্ট দিতে চাই না। আল্লাহ চাহেন তো তুমি আমাকে সৎকর্মপরায়ণ পাবে।
He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee, on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the righteous." |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ২৭) |

হে নবী! আপনি আপনার পত্নীগণকে ও কন্যাগণকে এবং মুমিনদের স্ত্রীগণকে বলুন, তারা যেন তাদের চাদরের কিয়দংশ নিজেদের উপর টেনে নেয়। এতে তাদেরকে চেনা সহজ হবে। ফলে তাদেরকে উত্যক্ত করা হবে না। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল পরম দয়ালু।
O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯) |

এবার তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, তোমার পালনকর্তার জন্যে কি কন্যা সন্তান রয়েছে এবং তাদের জন্যে কি পুত্র-সন্তান।
Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- |

তিনি কি পুত্র-সন্তানের স্থলে কন্যা-সন্তান পছন্দ করেছেন?
Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ১৫৩) |
| 14 |
নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের রাজত্ব আল্লাহ তা’আলারই। তিনি যা ইচ্ছা, সৃষ্টি করেন, যাকে ইচ্ছা কন্যা-সন্তান এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা পুত্র সন্তান দান করেন।
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills (and plans). He bestows (children) male or female according to His Will (and Plan), |
(আশ-শুরা:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |
| 15 |
অথবা তাদেরকে দান করেন পুত্র ও কন্যা উভয়ই এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা বন্ধ্যা করে দেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, ক্ষমতাশীল।
Or He bestows both males and females, and He leaves barren whom He will: for He is full of Knowledge and Power. |
(আশ-শুরা:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 16 |
তিনি কি তাঁর সৃষ্টি থেকে কন্যা সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান?
What! has He taken daughters out of what He himself creates, and granted to you sons for choice? |
(যুখরুফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

তারা রহমান আল্লাহর জন্যে যে, কন্যা-সন্তান বর্ণনা করে, যখন তাদের কাউকে তার সংবাদ দেয়া হয়, তখন তার মুখমন্ডল কালো হয়ে যায় এবং ভীষণ মনস্তাপ ভোগ করে।
When news is brought to one of them of (the birth of) what he sets up as a likeness to (Allah) Most Gracious, his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! |

আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 18 |
না তার কন্যা-সন্তান আছে আর তোমাদের আছে পুত্রসন্তান?
Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? |
(আত্ব তূর:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 19 |
পুত্র-সন্তান কি তোমাদের জন্যে এবং কন্যা-সন্তান আল্লাহর জন্য?
What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female? |
(আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ২১) |
| 20 |
যখন জীবন্ত প্রোথিত কন্যাকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে,
When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - |
