হে মুসলমানগণ, তোমরা কি আশা কর যে, তারা তোমাদের কথায় ঈমান আনবে? তাদের মধ্যে একদল ছিল, যারা আল্লাহর বাণী শ্রবণ করত; অতঃপর বুঝে-শুনে তা পরিবর্তন করে দিত এবং তারা তা অবগত ছিল।
Can ye (o ye men of Faith) entertain the hope that they will believe in you?- Seeing that a party of them heard the Word of Allah, and perverted it knowingly after they understood it. |
(আল বাকারা:

তা এজন্য যে, তারা বলে থাকে যে, দোযখের আগুন আমাদের স্পর্শ করবে না; তবে সামান্য হাতে গোনা কয়েকদিনের জন্য স্পর্শ করতে পারে। নিজেদের উদ্ভাবিত ভিত্তিহীন কথায় তারা ধোকা খেয়েছে।
This because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days": For their forgeries deceive them as to their own religion. |

যখন আপনি তাদেরকে দেখেন, যারা আমার আয়াত সমূহে ছিদ্রান্বেষণ করে, তখন তাদের কাছ থেকে সরে যান যে পর্যন্ত তারা অন্য কথায় প্রবৃত্ত না হয়, যদি শয়তান আপনাকে ভূলিয়ে দেয় তবে স্মরণ হওয়ার পর জালেমদের সাথে উপবেশন করবেন না।
When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong. |

আয়াতঃ ৬৮) |

আর তাদের কথায় দুঃখ নিয়ো না। আসলে সমস্ত ক্ষমতা আল্লাহর। তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ।
Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honour belong to Allah: It is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). |

আর সম্ভবতঃ ঐসব আহকাম যা ওহীর মাধ্যমে তোমার নিকট পাঠানো হয়, তার কিছু অংশ বর্জন করবে? এবং এতে মন ছোট করে বসবে? তাদের এ কথায় যে, তাঁর উপর কোন ধন-ভান্ডার কেন অবতীর্ণ হয়নি? অথবা তাঁর সাথে কোন ফেরেশতা আসেনি কেন? তুমিতো শুধু সতর্ককারী মাত্র; আর সব কিছুরই দায়িত্বভার তো আল্লাহই নিয়েছেন।
Perchance thou mayest (feel the inclination) to give up a part of what is revealed unto thee, and thy heart feeleth straitened lest they say, "Why is not a treasure sent down unto him, or why does not an angel come down with him?" But thou art there only to warn! It is Allah that arrangeth all affairs! |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |

তারা বলল-হে হুদ, তুমি আমাদের কাছে কোন প্রমাণ নিয়ে আস নাই, আমরা তোমার কথায় আমাদের দেব-দেবীদের বর্জন করতে পারি না আর আমরা তোমার প্রতি ঈমান আনয়নকারীও নই।
They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee! |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ৫৩) |

যারা আল্লাহর কথায় বিশ্বাস করে না, তাদেরকে আল্লাহ পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না এবং তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি।
Those who believe not in the Signs of Allah,- Allah will not guide them, and theirs will be a grievous Penalty. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ১০৪) |

দয়াময় আল্লাহ যাকে অনুমতি দেবেন এবং যার কথায় সন্তুষ্ট হবেন সে ছাড়া কারও সুপারিশ সেদিন কোন উপকারে আসবে না।
On that Day shall no intercession avail except for those for whom permission has been granted by (Allah) Most Gracious and whose word is acceptable to Him. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১০৯) |

এমনিভাবে আমি তাকে প্রতিফল দেব, যে সীমালঙ্ঘন করে এবং পালনকর্তার কথায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন না করে। তার পরকালের শাস্তি কঠোরতর এবং অনেক স্থায়ী।
And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১২৭) |

যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার কথায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে,
Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |
| 11 |
অতঃপর তারা যদি আপনার কথায় সাড়া না দেয়, তবে জানবেন, তারা শুধু নিজের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে। আল্লাহর হেদায়েতের পরিবর্তে যে ব্যক্তি নিজ প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে, তার চাইতে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে? নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ জালেম সম্প্রদায়কে পথ দেখান না।
But if they hearken not to thee, know that they only follow their own lusts: and who is more astray than one who follow his own lusts, devoid of guidance from Allah? for Allah guides not people given to wrong-doing. |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 12 |
এবং বলত, আমরা কি এক উম্মাদ কবির কথায় আমাদের উপাস্যদেরকে পরিত্যাগ করব।
And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ৩৬) |

এগুলো আল্লাহর আয়াত, যা আমি আপনার কাছে আবৃত্তি করি যথাযথরূপে। অতএব, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর আয়াতের পর তারা কোন কথায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে।
Such are the Signs of Allah, which We rehearse to thee in Truth; then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs? |

এখন কোন কথায় তারা এরপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে?
Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? |
