হে বনী-ইসরাঈলগণ! তোমরা স্মরণ কর আমার অনুগ্রহের কথা, যা আমি তোমাদের উপর করেছি এবং (স্মরণ কর) সে বিষয়টি যে, আমি তোমাদেরকে উচ্চমর্যাদা দান করেছি সমগ্র বিশ্বের উপর।
Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all other (for My Message). |
(আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |

আর (স্মরণ কর) সে সময়ের কথা, যখন আমি তোমাদিগকে মুক্তিদান করেছি ফেরআউনের লোকদের কবল থেকে যারা তোমাদিগকে কঠিন শাস্তি দান করত; তোমাদের পুত্রসন্তানদেরকে জবাই করত এবং তোমাদের স্ত্রীদিগকে অব্যাহতি দিত। বস্তুতঃ তাতে পরীক্ষা ছিল তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে, মহা পরীক্ষা।
And remember, We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: They set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons and let your women-folk live; therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord. |

মুনাফেক নর-নারী সবারই গতিবিধি একরকম; শিখায় মন্দ কথা, ভাল কথা থেকে বারণ করে এবং নিজ মুঠো বন্ধ রাখে। আল্লাহকে ভুলে গেছে তার, কাজেই তিনিও তাদের ভূলে গেছেন নিঃসন্দেহে মুনাফেকরাই নাফরমান।
The Hypocrites, men and women, (have an understanding) with each other: They enjoin evil, and forbid what is just, and are close with their hands. They have forgotten Allah; so He hath forgotten them. Verily the Hypocrites are rebellious and perverse. |

বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, লেখার জন্যে যদি সমুদ্রের পানি কালি হয়, তবে আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, শেষ হওয়ার আগেই সে সমুদ্র নিঃশেষিত হয়ে যাবে। সাহায্যার্থে অনুরূপ আরেকটি সমুদ্র এনে দিলেও।
Say: "If the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid." |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৯) |

এই মারইয়ামের পুত্র ঈসা। সত্যকথা, যে সম্পর্কে লোকেরা বিতর্ক করে।
Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |

এবং স্মরণ করুন আইয়্যুবের কথা, যখন তিনি তাঁর পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে বলেছিলেনঃ আমি দুঃখকষ্টে পতিত হয়েছি এবং আপনি দয়াবানদের চাইতেও সর্বশ্রেষ্ট দয়াবান।
And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful." |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৮৩) |

তারা বলে, এগুলো তো পুরাকালের রূপকথা, যা তিনি লিখে রেখেছেন। এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তাঁর কাছে শেখানো হয়।
And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening." |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |

স্মরণ কর লূতের কথা, তিনি তাঁর কওমকে বলেছিলেন, তোমরা কেন অশ্লীল কাজ করছ? অথচ এর পরিণতির কথা তোমরা অবগত আছ!
(We also sent) Lut (as a messenger): behold, He said to his people, "Do ye do what is shameful though ye see (its iniquity)? |
(নমল:
আয়াতঃ ৫৪) |

আল্লাহর আয়াত ও জ্ঞানগর্ভ কথা, যা তোমাদের গৃহে পঠিত হয় তোমরা সেগুলো স্মরণ করবে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সূক্ষ্নদর্শী, সর্ববিষয়ে খবর রাখেন।
And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest mysteries and is well-acquainted (with them). |

স্মরণ করুণ, আমার বান্দা আইয়্যুবের কথা, যখন সে তার পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে বললঃ শয়তান আমাকে যন্ত্রণা ও কষ্ট পৌছিয়েছে।
Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" |
