তারা বলল, তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কর, যেন সেটির রূপ বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলছেন, সেটা হবে একটা গাভী, যা বৃদ্ধ নয় এবং কুমারীও নয়-বার্ধক্য ও যৌবনের মাঝামাঝি বয়সের। এখন আদিষ্ট কাজ করে ফেল।
They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what (heifer) it is!" He said; "He says: The heifer should be neither too old nor too young, but of middling age. Now do what ye are commanded!" |
(আল বাকারা:

তোমাদের উপর যুদ্ধ ফরয করা হয়েছে, অথচ তা তোমাদের কাছে অপছন্দনীয়। পক্ষান্তরে তোমাদের কাছে হয়তো কোন একটা বিষয় পছন্দসই নয়, অথচ তা তোমাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর। আর হয়তোবা কোন একটি বিষয় তোমাদের কাছে পছন্দনীয় অথচ তোমাদের জন্যে অকল্যাণকর। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহই জানেন, তোমরা জান না।
Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not. |

বনী-ইসরাঈলদেরকে তাদের নবী আরো বললেন, তালূতের নেতৃত্বের চিহ্ন হলো এই যে, তোমাদের কাছে একটা সিন্দুক আসবে তোমাদের পালকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের মনের সন্তুষ্টির নিমিত্তে। আর তাতে থাকবে মূসা, হারুন এবং তাঁদের সন্তানবর্গের পরিত্যক্ত কিছু সামগ্রী। সিন্দুকটিকে বয়ে আনবে ফেরেশতারা। তোমরা যদি ঈমানদার হয়ে থাক, তাহলে এতে তোমাদের জন্য নিশ্চিতই পরিপূর্ণ নিদর্শন রয়েছে।
And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith." |

আর তোমাদের মধ্যে এমন একটা দল থাকা উচিত যারা আহবান জানাবে সৎকর্মের প্রতি, নির্দেশ দেবে ভাল কাজের এবং বারণ করবে অন্যায় কাজ থেকে, আর তারাই হলো সফলকাম।
Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity. |
(আল ইমরান:

আর আল্লাহর হুকুম ছাড়া কেউ মরতে পারে না-সেজন্য একটা সময় নির্ধারিত রয়েছে। বস্তুতঃ যে লোক দুনিয়ায় বিনিময় কামনা করবে, আমি তাকে তা দুনিয়াতেই দান করব। পক্ষান্তরে-যে লোক আখেরাতে বিনিময় কামনা করবে, তা থেকে আমি তাকে তাই দেবো। আর যারা কৃতজ্ঞ তাদেরকে আমি প্রতিদান দেবো
Nor can a soul die except by Allah's leave, the term being fixed as by writing. If any do desire a reward in this life, We shall give it to him; and if any do desire a reward in the Hereafter, We shall give it to him. And swiftly shall We reward those that (serve us with) gratitude. |
(আল ইমরান:

বলে দাও, যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন, তবে আমি এটি তোমাদের সামনে পড়তাম না, আর নাইবা তিনি তোমাদেরেকে অবহিত করতেন এ সম্পর্কে। কারণ আমি তোমাদের মাঝে ইতিপূর্বেও একটা বয়স অতিবাহিত করেছি। তারপরেও কি তোমরা চিন্তা করবে না?
Say: "If Allah had so willed, I should not have rehearsed it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. A whole life-time before this have I tarried amongst you: will ye not then understand?" |

যখন তারা বললঃ অবশ্যই ইউসুফ ও তাঁর ভাই আমাদের পিতার কাছে আমাদের চাইতে অধিক প্রিয় অথচ আমরা একটা সংহত শক্তি বিশেষ। নিশ্চয় আমাদের পিতা স্পষ্ট ভ্রান্তিতে রয়েছেন।
They said: "Truly Joseph and his brother are loved more by our father than we: But we are a goodly body! really our father is obviously wandering (in his mind)! |
(ইউসূফ:

এবং তারা তার জামায় কৃত্রিম রক্ত লাগিয়ে আনল। বললেনঃ এটা কখনই নয়; বরং তোমাদের মন তোমাদেরকে একটা কথা সাজিয়ে দিয়েছে। সুতরাং এখন ছবর করাই শ্রেয়। তোমরা যা বর্ণনা করছ, সে বিষয়ে একমাত্র আল্লাহই আমার সাহায্য স্থল।
They stained his shirt with false blood. He said: "Nay, but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you, (for me) patience is most fitting: Against that which ye assert, it is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought".. |

আল্লাহ জানেন প্রত্যেক নারী যা গর্ভধারণ করে এবং গর্ভাশয়ে যা সঙ্কুচিত ও বর্ধিত হয়। এবং তাঁর কাছে প্রত্যেক বস্তুরই একটা পরিমাণ রয়েছে।
Allah doth know what every female (womb) doth bear, by how much the wombs fall short (of their time or number) or do exceed. Every single thing is before His sight, in (due) proportion. |
(রা'দ:

অতঃপর এক প্রত্যুষে তাদের উপর একটা শব্দ এসে আঘাত করল।
But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, |

অতঃপর আমি তোমাদের জন্যে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে পালা ঘুয়িয়ে দিলাম, তোমাদেরকে ধন-সম্পদ ও পুত্রসন্তান দ্বারা সাহায্য করলাম এবং তোমাদেরকে জনসংখ্যার দিক দিয়ে একটা বিরাট বাহিনীতে পরিণত করলাম।
Then did We grant you the Return as against them: We gave you increase in resources and sons, and made you the more numerous in man-power. |

অতঃপর সে তাদের জন্য তৈরী করে বের করল একটি গো-বৎস, একটা দেহ, যার মধ্যে গরুর শব্দ ছিল। তারা বললঃ এটা তোমাদের উপাস্য এবং মূসার ও উপাস্য, অতঃপর মূসা ভুলে গেছে।
"Then he brought out (of the fire) before the (people) the image of a calf: It seemed to low: so they said: This is your god, and the god of Moses, but (Moses) has forgotten!" |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৮৮) |

এবং এটা একটা বরকতময় উপদেশ, যা আমি নাযিল করেছি। অতএব তোমরা কি একে অস্বীকার কর?
And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it? |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 14 |
আল্লাহর কসম, যখন তোমরা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে চলে যাবে, তখন আমি তোমাদের মূর্তিগুলোর ব্যাপারে একটা ব্যবস্থা অবলম্বন করব।
"And by Allah, I have a plan for your idols - after ye go away and turn your backs".. |

আয়াতঃ ৫৭) |
| 15 |
এটা একটা সূরা যা আমি নাযিল করেছি, এবং দায়িত্বে অপরিহার্য করেছি। এতে আমি সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ অবতীর্ণ করেছি, যাতে তোমরা স্মরণ রাখ।
A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition. |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 16 |
আমি এক নারীকে সাবাবাসীদের উপর রাজত্ব করতে দেখেছি। তাকে সবকিছুই দেয়া হয়েছে এবং তার একটা বিরাট সিংহাসন আছে।
"I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. |

| 17 |
তারা কেবল একটা ভয়াবহ শব্দের অপেক্ষা করছে, যা তাদেরকে আঘাত করবে তাদের পারস্পরিক বাকবিতন্ডাকালে।
They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! |

| 18 |
নিশ্চয় আমি আপনার জন্যে এমন একটা ফয়সালা করে দিয়েছি, যা সুস্পষ্ট।
Verily We have granted thee a manifest Victory: |

এটা একটা ঝরণা, যা থেকে আল্লাহর বান্দাগণ পান করবে-তারা একে প্রবাহিত করবে।
A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance. |
(আদ-দাহর:
আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 20 |
এটা একটা ঝরণা, যার পানি পান করবে নৈকট্যশীলগণ।
A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah. |
(আত-তাতফীফ:
