আর তোমাদের মধ্যে এমনও কেউ কেউ রয়েছে, যারা অবশ্য বিলম্ব করবে এবং তোমাদের উপর কোন বিপদ উপস্থিত হলে বলবে, আল্লাহ আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন যে, আমি তাদের সাথে যাইনি।
There are certainly among you men who would tarry behind: If a misfortune befalls you, they say: "Allah did favour us in that we were not present among them." |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৭২) |

যে লোক রসূলের হুকুম মান্য করবে সে আল্লাহরই হুকুম মান্য করল। আর যে লোক বিমুখতা অবলম্বন করল, আমি আপনাকে (হে মুহাম্মদ), তাদের জন্য রক্ষণাবেক্ষণকারী নিযুক্ত করে পাঠাইনি।
He who obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah: But if any turn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their (evil deeds). |
(আন নিসা:

এছাড়া এমন রসূল পাঠিয়েছি যাদের ইতিবৃত্ত আমি আপনাকে শুনিয়েছি ইতিপূর্বে এবং এমন রসূল পাঠিয়েছি যাদের বৃত্তান্ত আপনাকে শোনাইনি। আর আল্লাহ মূসার সাথে কথোপকথন করেছেন সরাসরি।
Of some messengers We have already told thee the story; of others We have not;- and to Moses Allah spoke direct;- |

তারা কি দেখেনি যে, আমি তাদের পুর্বে কত সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, যাদেরকে আমি পৃথিবীতে এমন প্রতিষ্ঠা দিয়েছিলাম, যা তোমাদেরকে দেইনি। আমি আকাশকে তাদের উপর অনবরত বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করতে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের তলদেশে নদী সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছি, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে তাদের পাপের কারণে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের পরে অন্য সম্প্রদায় সৃষ্টি করেছি।
See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them). |

আর আমি কোন জনপদে কোন নবী পাঠাইনি, তবে (এমতাবস্থায়) যে পাকড়াও করেছি সে জনপদের অধিবাসীদিগকে কষ্ট ও কঠোরতার মধ্যে, যাতে তারা শিথিল হয়ে পড়ে।
Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৪) |

আর তাদের অধিকাংশ লোককেই আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা বাস্তবায়নকারীরূপে পাইনি; বরং তাদের অধিকাংশকে পেয়েছি হুকুম অমান্যকারী।
Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. |
(আল আ'রাফ:

নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ যিনি তৈরী করেছেন আসমান ও যমীনকে ছয় দিনে, অতঃপর তিনি আরশের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন। তিনি কার্য পরিচালনা করেন। কেউ সুপারিশ করতে পাবে না তবে তাঁর অনুমতি ছাড়া ইনিই আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তোমরা তাঁরই এবাদত কর। তোমরা কি কিছুই চিন্তা কর না ?
Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition? |

আর যখন মানুষ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়, শুয়ে বসে, দাঁড়িয়ে আমাকে ডাকতে থাকে। তারপর আমি যখন তা থেকে মুক্ত করে দেই, সে কষ্ট যখন চলে যায় তখন মনে হয় কখনো কোন কষ্টেরই সম্মুখীন হয়ে যেন আমাকে ডাকেইনি। এমনিভাবে মনঃপুত হয়েছে নির্ভয় লোকদের যা তারা করেছে।
When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes! |

সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমার অস্থি বয়স-ভারাবনত হয়েছে; বার্ধক্যে মস্তক সুশুভ্র হয়েছে; হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আপনাকে ডেকে আমি কখনও বিফলমনোরথ হইনি।
Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee! |
(মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ৪) |

আমি ইতিপূর্বে আদমকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলাম। অতঃপর সে ভুলে গিয়েছিল এবং আমি তার মধ্যে দৃঢ়তা পাইনি।
We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm resolve. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১১৫) |

আমি তাদেরকে কোন কিতাব দেইনি, যা তারা অধ্যয়ন করবে এবং আপনার পূর্বে তাদের কাছে কোন সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করিনি।
But We had not given them Books which they could study, nor sent messengers to them before thee as Warners. |

তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন। তিনি সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকটি আবর্তন করে এক নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত। ইনি আল্লাহ; তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, সাম্রাজ্য তাঁরই। তাঁর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদেরকে ডাক, তারা তুচ্ছ খেজুর আঁটিরও অধিকারী নয়।
He merges Night into Day, and he merges Day into Night, and he has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law): each one runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah your Lord: to Him belongs all Dominion. And those whom ye invoke besides Him have not the least power. |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ১৩) |

সেখানে তারা আর্ত চিৎকার করে বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, বের করুন আমাদেরকে, আমরা সৎকাজ করব, পূর্বে যা করতাম, তা করব না। (আল্লাহ বলবেন) আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এতটা বয়স দেইনি, যাতে যা চিন্তা করার বিষয় চিন্তা করতে পারতে? উপরন্তু তোমাদের কাছে সতর্ককারীও আগমন করেছিল। অতএব আস্বাদন কর। জালেমদের জন্যে কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই।
Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper." |

আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |

আমি রসূলকে কবিতা শিক্ষা দেইনি এবং তা তার জন্যে শোভনীয়ও নয়। এটা তো এক উপদেশ ও প্রকাশ্য কোরআন।
We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear: |

| 15 |
তোমরা যে বিষয়েই মতভেদ কর, তার ফয়সালা আল্লাহর কাছে সোপর্দ। ইনিই আল্লাহ আমার পালনকর্তা আমি তাঁরই উপর নির্ভর করি এবং তাঁরই অভিমুখী হই।
Whatever it be wherein ye differ, the decision thereof is with Allah: such is Allah my Lord: In Him I trust, and to Him I turn. |
(আশ-শুরা:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 16 |
যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে আপনাকে আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি যখন মানুষকে আমার রহমত আস্বাদন করাই, তখন সে উল্লসিত, আর যখন তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদের কোন অনিষ্ট ঘটে, তখন মানুষ খুব অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
If then they run away, We have not sent thee as a guard over them. Thy duty is but to convey (the Message). And truly, when We give man a taste of a Mercy from Ourselves, he doth exult thereat, but when some ill happens to him, on account of the deeds which his hands have sent forth, truly then is man ungrateful! |

আমি তাদেরকে এমন বিষয়ে ক্ষমতা দিয়েছিলাম, যে বিষয়ে তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমতা দেইনি। আমি তাদের দিয়েছিলাম, কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও হৃদয়, কিন্তু তাদের কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও হৃদয় তাদের কোন কাজে আসল না, যখন তারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করল এবং তাদেরকে সেই শাস্তি গ্রাস করে নিল, যা নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত।
And We had firmly established them in a (prosperity and) power which We have not given to you (ye Quraish!) and We had endowed them with (faculties of) hearing, seeing, heart and intellect: but of no profit to them were their (faculties of) hearing, sight, and heart and intellect, when they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah; and they were (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at! |
(আল আহক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 18 |
এবং সেখানে একটি গৃহ ব্যতীত কোন মুসলমান আমি পাইনি।
But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: |

আমি কি তাকে দেইনি চক্ষুদ্বয়,
Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?- |
(আল বালাদ:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |

আমি কি আপনার বক্ষ উম্মুক্ত করে দেইনি?
Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- |
