তারা কি সে দিকেই তাকিয়ে রয়েছে যে, মেঘের আড়ালে তাদের সামনে আসবেন আল্লাহ ও ফেরেশতাগণ ? আর তাতেই সব মীমাংসা হয়ে যাবে। বস্তুতঃ সবকার্যকলাপই আল্লাহর নিকট গিয়ে পৌঁছবে।
Will they wait until Allah comes to them in canopies of clouds, with angels (in His train) and the question is (thus) settled? but to Allah do all questions go back (for decision). |

সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা বলে যে, আল্লাহ আমাদিগকে এমন কোন রসূলের ওপর বিশ্বাস না করতে বলে রেখেছেন যতক্ষণ না তারা আমাদের নিকট এমন কোরবানী নিয়ে আসবেন যাকে আগুন গ্রাস করে নেবে। তুমি তাদের বলে দাও, তোমাদের মাঝে আমার পূর্বে বহু রসূল নিদর্শনসমূহ এবং তোমরা যা আব্দার করেছ তা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন, তখন তোমরা কেন তাদেরকে হত্যা করলে যদি তোমরা সত্য হয়ে থাক।
They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?" |

তিনি বললেনঃ কিছুই না, তোমরা মনগড়া একটি কথা নিয়েই এসেছ। এখন ধৈর্য্যধারণই উত্তম। সম্ভবতঃ আল্লাহ তাদের সবাইকে একসঙ্গে আমার কাছে নিয়ে আসবেন তিনি সুবিজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
Jacob said: "Nay, but ye have yourselves contrived a story (good enough) for you. So patience is most fitting (for me). Maybe Allah will bring them (back) all to me (in the end). For He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom." |

অথবা আপনি যেমন বলে থাকেন, তেমনিভাবে আমাদের উপর আসমানকে খন্ড-বিখন্ড করে ফেলে দেবেন অথবা আল্লাহ ও ফেরেশতাদেরকে আমাদের সামনে নিয়ে আসবেন।
"Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: |
