যে ব্যক্তি সম্পর্কে ধারণা ছিল যে, সে মুক্তি পাবে, তাকে ইউসুফ বলে দিলঃ আপন প্রভুর কাছে আমার আলোচনা করবে। অতঃপর শয়তান তাকে প্রভুর কাছে আলোচনার কথা ভুলিয়ে দিল। ফলে তাঁকে কয়েক বছর কারাগারে থাকতে হল।
And of the two, to that one whom he consider about to be saved, he said: "Mention me to thy lord." But Satan made him forget to mention him to his lord: and (Joseph) lingered in prison a few (more) years. |

যখন তারা কান পেতে আপনার কথা শোনে, তখন তারা কেন কান পেতে তা শোনে, তা আমি ভাল জানি এবং এও জানি গোপনে আলোচনাকালে যখন জালেমরা বলে, তোমরা তো এক যাদুগ্রস্থ ব্যক্তির অনুসরণ করছ।
We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!" |

অজ্ঞাত বিষয়ে অনুমানের উপর ভিত্তি করে এখন তারা বলবেঃ তারা ছিল তিন জন; তাদের চতুর্থটি তাদের কুকুর। একথাও বলবে; তারা পাঁচ জন। তাদের ছষ্ঠটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। আরও বলবেঃ তারা ছিল সাত জন। তাদের অষ্টমটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা তাদের সংখ্যা ভাল জানেন। তাদের খবর অল্প লোকই জানে। সাধারণ আলোচনা ছাড়া আপনি তাদের সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করবেন না এবং তাদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে তাদের কাউকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ ও করবেন না।
(Some) say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth,- doubtfully guessing at the unknown; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say thou: "My Lord knoweth best their number; It is but few that know their (real case)." Enter not, therefore, into controversies concerning them, except on a matter that is clear, nor consult any of them about (the affair of) the Sleepers. |

আমি তাকে আহবান করলাম তূর পাহাড়ের ডান দিক থেকে এবং গুঢ়তত্ত্ব আলোচনার উদ্দেশে তাকে নিকটবর্তী করলাম।
And we called him from the right side of Mount (Sinai), and made him draw near to Us, for mystic (converse). |

এই কিতাবে ইদ্রীসের কথা আলোচনা করুন, তিনি ছিলেন সত্যবাদী নবী।
Also mention in the Book the case of Idris: He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet: |

কাফেররা যখন আপনাকে দেখে তখন আপনার সাথে ঠাট্টা করা ছাড়া তাদের আর কোন কাজ থাকে না, একি সেই ব্যক্তি, যে তোমাদের দেব-দেবীদের সমালোচনা করে? এবং তারাই তো রহমান’ এর আলোচনায় অস্বীকার করে।
When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! |

কতক লোকে বললঃ আমরা এক যুবককে তাদের সম্পর্কে বিরূপ আলোচনা করতে শুনেছি; তাকে ইব্রাহীম বলা হয়।
They said, "We heard a youth talk of them: He is called Abraham." |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৬০) |

এবং সেই নারীর কথা আলোচনা করুন, যে তার কামপ্রবৃত্তিকে বশে রেখেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তার মধ্যে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দিয়েছিলাম এবং তাকে তার পুত্রকে বিশ্ববাসীর জন্য নিদর্শন করেছিলাম।
And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples. |

এ এক মহৎ আলোচনা। খোদাভীরুদের জন্যে রয়েছে উত্তম ঠিকানা-
This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- |

তারা কি বলে যে, রসূল একে রচনা করেছে? বলুন, যদি আমি রচনা করে থাকি, তবে তোমরা আল্লাহর শাস্তি থেকে আমাকে রক্ষা করার অধিকারী নও। তোমরা এ সম্পর্কে যা আলোচনা কর, সে বিষয়ে আল্লাহ সম্যক অবগত। আমার ও তোমাদের মধ্যে তিনি সাক্ষী হিসাবে যথেষ্ট। তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, দয়াময়।
Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Say: "Had I forged it, then can ye obtain no single (blessing) for me from Allah. He knows best of that whereof ye talk (so glibly)! Enough is He for a witness between me and you! And he is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." |

আমি আপনার আলোচনাকে সমুচ্চ করেছি।
And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? |
