“বিতাড়িত শয়তান হতে আল্লাহর নিকট আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি। পরম করুণাময় ও অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে আরম্ভ করছি।”

নং আয়াত সূরা
1 বরং আল্লাহই তাদের সাথে উপহাস করেন। আর তাদেরকে তিনি ছেড়ে দিয়েছেন যেন তারা নিজেদের অহংকার ও কুমতলবে হয়রান ও পেরেশান থাকে।
Allah will throw back their mockery on them, and give them rope in their trespasses; so they will wander like blind ones (To and fro).		 (আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ১৫)
2 এবং যখন আমি হযরত আদম (আঃ)-কে সেজদা করার জন্য ফেরেশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দিলাম, তখনই ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সিজদা করলো। সে (নির্দেশ) পালন করতে অস্বীকার করল এবং অহংকার প্রদর্শন করল। ফলে সে কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গেল।
And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.		 (আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪)
3 অবশ্যই আমি মূসাকে কিতাব দিয়েছি। এবং তার পরে পর্যায়ক্রমে রসূল পাঠিয়েছি। আমি মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসাকে সুস্পষ্ট মোজেযা দান করেছি এবং পবিত্র রূহের মাধ্যমে তাকে শক্তিদান করেছি। অতঃপর যখনই কোন রসূল এমন নির্দেশ নিয়ে তোমাদের কাছে এসেছে, যা তোমাদের মনে ভাল লাগেনি, তখনই তোমরা অহংকার করেছ। শেষ পর্যন্ত তোমরা একদলকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছ এবং একদলকে হত্যা করেছ।
We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!		 (আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ৮৭)
4 মসীহ আল্লাহর বান্দা হবেন, তাতে তার কোন লজ্জাবোধ নেই এবং ঘনিষ্ঠ ফেরেশতাদেরও না। বস্তুতঃ যারা আল্লাহর দাসত্বে লজ্জাবোধ করবে এবং অহংকার করবে, তিনি তাদের সবাইকে নিজের কাছে সমবেত করবেন।
Christ disdaineth nor to serve and worship Allah, nor do the angels, those nearest (to Allah): those who disdain His worship and are arrogant,-He will gather them all together unto Himself to (answer).		 (আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৭২)
5 ঐ ব্যক্তির চাইতে বড় জালেম কে হবে, যে আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে অথবা বলেঃ আমার প্রতি ওহী অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে। অথচ তার প্রতি কোন ওহী আসেনি এবং যে দাবী করে যে, আমিও নাযিল করে দেখাচ্ছি যেমন আল্লাহ নাযিল করেছেন। যদি আপনি দেখেন যখন জালেমরা মৃত্যু যন্ত্রণায় থাকে এবং ফেরেশতারা স্বীয় হস্ত প্রসারিত করে বলে, বের কর স্বীয় আত্মা! অদ্য তোমাদেরকে অবমাননাকর শাস্তি প্রদান করা হবে। কারণ, তোমরা আল্লাহর উপর অসত্য বলতে এবং তাঁর আয়াত সমূহ থেকে অহংকার করতে।
Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, "I have received inspiration," when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, "I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed"? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),"Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!"		 (আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৯৩)
6 বললেন তুই এখান থেকে যা। এখানে অহংকার করার কোন অধিকার তোর নাই। অতএব তুই বের হয়ে যা। তুই হীনতমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
(Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)."		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৩)
7 যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলবে এবং তা থেকে অহংকার করবে, তারাই দোযখী এবং তথায় চিরকাল থাকবে।
But those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance,- they are companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for ever).		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৬)
8 নিশ্চয়ই যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলেছে এবং এগুলো থেকে অহংকার করেছে, তাদের জন্যে আকাশের দ্বার উম্মুক্ত করা হবে না এবং তারা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে না। যে পর্যন্ত না সূচের ছিদ্র দিয়ে উট প্রবেশ করে। আমি এমনিভাবে পাপীদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান করি।
To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin.		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৪০)
9 অতঃপর তাদের পেছনে পাঠিয়েছি আমি মূসা ও হারুনকে, ফেরাউন ও তার সর্দারের প্রতি স্বীয় নির্দেশাবলী সহকারে। অথচ তারা অহংকার করতে আরম্ভ করেছে।
Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.		 (ইউনুস:
আয়াতঃ ৭৫)
10 আমাদের ইলাহ একক ইলাহ। অনন্তর যারা পরজীবনে বিশ্বাস করে না, তাদের অন্তর সত্যবিমুখ এবং তারা অহংকার প্রদর্শন করেছে।
Your Allah is one Allah: as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant.		 (নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ২২)
11 নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ তাদের গোপন ও প্রকাশ্য যাবতীয় বিষয়ে অবগত। নিশ্চিতই তিনি অহংকারীদের পছন্দ করেন না।
Undoubtedly Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily He loveth not the arrogant.		 (নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ২৩)
12 অতএব, জাহান্নামের দরজসমূহে প্রবেশ কর, এতেই অনন্তকাল বাস কর। আর অহংকারীদের আবাসস্থল কতই নিকৃষ্ট।
"So enter the gates of Hell, to dwell therein. Thus evil indeed is the abode of the arrogant."		 (নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ২৯)
13 আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু নভোমন্ডলে আছে এবং যা কিছু ভুমন্ডলে আছে এবং ফেরেশতাগণ; তারা অহংকার করে না।
And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord).		 (নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯)
14 আমি মানুষকে নেয়ামত দান করলে সে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং অহংকারে দুরে সরে যায়; যখন তাকে কোন অনিষ্ট স্পর্শ করে, তখন সে একেবারে হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।
Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us), and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair!		 (বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৮৩)
15 নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলে যারা আছে, তারা তাঁরই। আর যারা তাঁর সান্নিধ্যে আছে তারা তাঁর ইবাদতে অহংকার করে না এবং অলসতাও করে না।
To Him belong all (creatures) in the heavens and on earth: Even those who are in His (very) Presence are not too proud to serve Him, nor are they (ever) weary (of His service):		 (আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ১৯)
16 ফেরআউন ও তার অমাত্যদের কাছে। অতঃপর তারা অহংকার করল এবং তারা উদ্ধত সম্প্রদায় ছিল।
To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people.		 (আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৪৬)
17 অহংকার করে এ বিষয়ে অর্থহীন গল্প-গুজব করে যেতে।
"In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night."		 (আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৬৭)
18 যারা আমার সাক্ষাৎ আশা করে না, তারা বলে, আমাদের কাছে ফেরেশতা অবতীর্ণ করা হল না কেন? অথবা আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তাকে দেখি না কেন? তারা নিজেদের অন্তরে অহংকার পোষণ করে এবং গুরুতর অবাধ্যতায় মেতে উঠেছে।
Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!		 (আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ২১)
19 তারা অন্যায় ও অহংকার করে নিদর্শনাবলীকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল, যদিও তাদের অন্তর এগুলো সত্য বলে বিশ্বাস করেছিল। অতএব দেখুন, অনর্থকারীদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছিল?
And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly!		 (নমল:
আয়াতঃ ১৪)
20 ফেরাউন ও তার বাহিনী অন্যায়ভাবে পৃথিবীতে অহংকার করতে লাগল এবং তারা মনে করল যে, তারা আমার কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে না।
And he was arrogant and insolent in the land, beyond reason,- He and his hosts: they thought that they would not have to return to Us!		 (আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯)
21 অহংকারবশে তুমি মানুষকে অবজ্ঞা করো না এবং পৃথিবীতে গর্বভরে পদচারণ করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ কোন দাম্ভিক অহংকারীকে পছন্দ করেন না।
"And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.		 (লোকমান:
আয়াতঃ ১৮)
22 কেবল তারাই আমার আয়াতসমূহের প্রতি ঈমান আনে, যারা আয়াতসমূহ দ্বারা উপদেশপ্রাপ্ত হয়ে সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে এবং অহংকারমুক্ত হয়ে তাদের পালনকর্তার সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করে।
Only those believe in Our Signs, who, when they are recited to them, fall down in prostration, and celebrate the praises of their Lord, nor are they (ever) puffed up with pride.		 (সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৫)
23 কাফেররা বলে, আমরা কখনও এ কোরআনে বিশ্বাস করব না এবং এর পূর্ববর্তী কিতাবেও নয়। আপনি যদি পাপিষ্ঠদেরকে দেখতেন, যখন তাদেরকে তাদের পালনকর্তার সামনে দাঁড় করানো হবে, , তখন তারা পরস্পর কথা কাটাকাটি করবে। যাদেরকে দুর্বল মনে করা হত, তারা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, তোমরা না থাকলে আমরা অবশ্যই মুমিন হতাম।
The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it." Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"		 (সাবা:
আয়াতঃ ৩১)
24 অহংকারীরা দুর্বলকে বলবে, তোমাদের কাছে হেদায়েত আসার পর আমরা কি তোমাদেরকে বাধা দিয়েছিলাম? বরং তোমরাই তো ছিলে অপরাধী।
The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.		 (সাবা:
আয়াতঃ ৩২)
25 দুর্বলরা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, বরং তোমরাই তো দিবারাত্রি চক্রান্ত করে আমাদেরকে নির্দেশ দিতে যেন আমরা আল্লাহকে না মানি এবং তাঁর অংশীদার সাব্যস্ত করি তারা যখন শাস্তি দেখবে, তখন মনের অনুতাপ মনেই রাখবে। বস্তুতঃ আমি কাফেরদের গলায় বেড়ী পরাব। তারা সে প্রতিফলই পেয়ে থাকে যা তারা করত।
Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds.		 (সাবা:
আয়াতঃ ৩৩)
26 বরং যারা কাফের, তারা অহংকার ও বিরোধিতায় লিপ্ত।
But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism.		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ২)
27 কিন্তু ইবলীস; সে অহংকার করল এবং অস্বীকারকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেল।
Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith.		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৪)
28 আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
(Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৫)
29 হাঁ, তোমার কাছে আমার নির্দেশ এসেছিল; অতঃপর তুমি তাকে মিথ্যা বলেছিলে, অহংকার করেছিলে এবং কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গিয়েছিলে।
"(The reply will be:) 'Nay, but there came to thee my Signs, and thou didst reject them: thou wast Haughty, and became one of those who reject faith!'"		 (আল-যুমার:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯)
30 যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে, কেয়ামতের দিন আপনি তাদের মুখ কাল দেখবেন। অহংকারীদের আবাসস্থল জাহান্নামে নয় কি?
On the Day of Judgment wilt thou see those who told lies against Allah;- their faces will be turned black; Is there not in Hell an abode for the Haughty?		 (আল-যুমার:
আয়াতঃ ৬০)
31 বলা হবে, তোমরা জাহান্নামের দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ কর, সেখানে চিরকাল অবস্থানের জন্যে। কত নিকৃষ্ট অহংকারীদের আবাসস্থল।
(To them) will be said: "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) Abode of the Arrogant!"		 (আল-যুমার:
আয়াতঃ ৭২)
32 মূসা বলল, যারা হিসাব দিবসে বিশ্বাস করে না এমন প্রত্যেক অহংকারী থেকে আমি আমার ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তার আশ্রয় নিয়ে নিয়েছি।
Moses said: "I have indeed called upon my Lord and your Lord (for protection) from every arrogant one who believes not in the Day of Account!"		 (আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ২৭)
33 যারা নিজেদের কাছে আগত কোন দলীল ছাড়াই আল্লাহর আয়াত সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে, তাদের একজন আল্লাহ ও মুমিনদের কাছে খুবই অসন্তোষজনক। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ প্রত্যেক অহংকারী-স্বৈরাচারী ব্যক্তির অন্তরে মোহর এঁটে দেন।
"(Such) as dispute about the Signs of Allah, without any authority that hath reached them, grievous and odious (is such conduct) in the sight of Allah and of the Believers. Thus doth Allah, seal up every heart - of arrogant and obstinate Transgressors."		 (আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৩৫)
34 যখন তারা জাহান্নামে পরস্পর বিতর্ক করবে, অতঃপর দূর্বলরা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, আমরা তোমাদের অনুসারী ছিলাম। তোমরা এখন জাহান্নামের আগুনের কিছু অংশ আমাদের থেকে নিবৃত করবে কি?
Behold, they will dispute with each other in the Fire! The weak ones (who followed) will say to those who had been arrogant, "We but followed you: Can ye then take (on yourselves) from us some share of the Fire?		 (আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭)
35 অহংকারীরা বলবে, আমরা সবাই তো জাহান্নামে আছি। আল্লাহ তাঁর বান্দাদের ফয়সালা করে দিয়েছেন।
Those who had been arrogant will say: "We are all in this (Fire)! Truly, Allah has judged between (his) Servants!"		 (আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৪৮)
36 তোমাদের পালনকর্তা বলেন, তোমরা আমাকে ডাক, আমি সাড়া দেব। যারা আমার এবাদতে অহংকার করে তারা সত্বরই জাহান্নামে দাখিল হবে লাঞ্ছিত হয়ে।
And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!"		 (আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৬০)
37 যারা ছিল আদ, তারা পৃথিবীতে অযথা অহংকার করল এবং বলল, আমাদের অপেক্ষা অধিক শক্তিধর কে? তারা কি লক্ষ্য করেনি যে, যে আল্লাহ তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনি তাদের অপেক্ষা অধিক শক্তিধর ? বস্তুতঃ তারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলী অস্বীকার করত।
Now the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!		 (হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৫)
38 অতঃপর তারা যদি অহংকার করে, তবে যারা আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে আছে, তারা দিবারাত্রি তাঁর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করে এবং তারা ক্লান্ত হয় না।
But is the (Unbelievers) are arrogant, (no matter): for in the presence of thy Lord are those who celebrate His praises by night and by day. And they never flag (nor feel themselves above it).		 (হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৮)
39 সে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ শুনে, অতঃপর অহংকারী হয়ে জেদ ধরে, যেন সে আয়াত শুনেনি। অতএব, তাকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দিন।
He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!		 (আল জাসিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৮)
40 আর যারা কুফর করেছে, তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে, তোমাদের কাছে কি আয়াতসমূহ পঠিত হত না? কিন্তু তোমরা অহংকার করছিলে এবং তোমরা ছিলে এক অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়।
But as to those who rejected Allah, (to them will be said): "Were not Our Signs rehearsed to you? But ye were arrogant, and were a people given to sin!		 (আল জাসিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৩১)
41 বলুন, তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছ কি, যদি এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে হয় এবং তোমরা একে অমান্য কর এবং বনী ইসরাঈলের একজন সাক্ষী এর পক্ষে সাক্ষ্য দিয়ে এতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে; আর তোমরা অহংকার কর, তবে তোমাদের চেয়ে অবিবেচক আর কে হবে? নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ অবিবেচকদেরকে পথ দেখান না।
Say: "See ye? If (this teaching) be from Allah, and ye reject it, and a witness from among the Children of Israel testifies to its similarity (with earlier scripture), and has believed while ye are arrogant, (how unjust ye are!) truly, Allah guides not a people unjust."		 (আল আহক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০)
42 যেদিন কাফেরদেরকে জাহান্নামের কাছে উপস্থিত করা হবে সেদিন বলা হবে, তোমরা তোমাদের সুখ পার্থিব জীবনেই নিঃশেষ করেছ এবং সেগুলো ভোগ করেছ সুতরাং আজ তোমাদেরকে অপমানকর আযাবের শাস্তি দেয়া হবে; কারণ, তোমরা পৃথিবীতে অন্যায় ভাবে অহংকার করতে এবং তোমরা পাপাচার করতে।
And on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (It will be said to them): "Ye received your good things in the life of the world, and ye took your pleasure out of them: but today shall ye be recompensed with a Penalty of humiliation: for that ye were arrogant on earth without just cause, and that ye (ever) transgressed."		 (আল আহক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২০)
43 এটা এজন্যে বলা হয়, যাতে তোমরা যা হারাও তজ্জন্যে দুঃখিত না হও এবং তিনি তোমাদেরকে যা দিয়েছেন, তজ্জন্যে উল্লসিত না হও। আল্লাহ কোন উদ্ধত অহংকারীকে পছন্দ করেন না,
In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster,-		 (আল হাদীদ:
আয়াতঃ ২৩)
44 যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়ঃ তোমরা এস, আল্লাহর রসূল তোমাদের জন্য ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা করবেন, তখন তারা মাথা ঘুরিয়ে নেয় এবং আপনি তাদেরকে দেখেন যে, তারা অহংকার করে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will pray for your forgiveness", they turn aside their heads, and thou wouldst see them turning away their faces in arrogance.		 (মুনাফিকুন:
আয়াতঃ ৫)
45 অতঃপর পৃষ্ঠপ্রদশন করেছে ও অহংকার করেছে।
Then he turned back and was haughty;		 (আল মুদ্দাসসির:
আয়াতঃ ২৩)
