সবাই তাঁর অভিমুখী হও এবং ভয় কর, নামায কায়েম কর এবং মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না।
Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with Allah,- |

মানুষকে যখন দুঃখ-কষ্ট স্পর্শ করে, তখন তারা তাদের পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে তাঁরই অভিমুখী হয়ে। অতঃপর তিনি যখন তাদেরকে রহমতের স্বাদ আস্বাদন করান, তখন তাদের একদল তাদের পালনকর্তার সাথে শিরক করতে থাকে,
When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,- |

পিতা-মাতা যদি তোমাকে আমার সাথে এমন বিষয়কে শরীক স্থির করতে পীড়াপীড়ি করে, যার জ্ঞান তোমার নেই; তবে তুমি তাদের কথা মানবে না এবং দুনিয়াতে তাদের সাথে সদ্ভাবে সহঅবস্থান করবে। যে আমার অভিমুখী হয়, তার পথ অনুসরণ করবে। অতঃপর তোমাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন আমারই দিকে এবং তোমরা যা করতে, আমি সে বিষয়ে তোমাদেরকে জ্ঞাত করবো।
"But if they strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (and consideration), and follow the way of those who turn to me (in love): in the end the return of you all is to Me, and I will tell you the truth (and meaning) of all that ye did." |

তারা কি তাদের সামনের ও পশ্চাতের আকাশ ও পৃথিবীর প্রতিলক্ষ্য করে না? আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের সহ ভূমি ধসিয়ে দেব অথবা আকাশের কোন খন্ড তাদের উপর পতিত করব। আল্লাহ অভিমুখী প্রত্যেক বান্দার জন্য এতে অবশ্যই নিদর্শন রয়েছে।
See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance). |

যারা শয়তানী শক্তির পূজা-অর্চনা থেকে দূরে থাকে এবং আল্লাহ অভিমুখী হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে সুসংবাদ। অতএব, সুসংবাদ দিন আমার বান্দাদেরকে।
Those who eschew Evil,- and fall not into its worship,- and turn to Allah (in repentance),- for them is Good News: so announce the Good News to My Servants,- |

তোমরা যে বিষয়েই মতভেদ কর, তার ফয়সালা আল্লাহর কাছে সোপর্দ। ইনিই আল্লাহ আমার পালনকর্তা আমি তাঁরই উপর নির্ভর করি এবং তাঁরই অভিমুখী হই।
Whatever it be wherein ye differ, the decision thereof is with Allah: such is Allah my Lord: In Him I trust, and to Him I turn. |

তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে দ্বীনের ক্ষেত্রে সে পথই নিধারিত করেছেন, যার আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন নূহকে, যা আমি প্রত্যাদেশ করেছি আপনার প্রতি এবং যার আদেশ দিয়েছিলাম ইব্রাহীম, মূসা ও ঈসাকে এই মর্মে যে, তোমরা দ্বীনকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত কর এবং তাতে অনৈক্য সৃষ্টি করো না। আপনি মূশরেকদেরকে যে বিষয়ের প্রতি আমন্ত্রণ জানান, তা তাদের কাছে দুঃসাধ্য বলে মনে হয়। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা মনোনীত করেন এবং যে তাঁর অভিমুখী হয়, তাকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন।
The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him). |

(অতঃপর) তারা যখন শাস্তিকে মেঘরূপে তাদের উপত্যকা অভিমুখী দেখল, তখন বলল, এ তো মেঘ, আমাদেরকে বৃষ্টি দেবে। বরং এটা সেই বস্তু, যা তোমরা তাড়াতাড়ি চেয়েছিলে। এটা বায়ু এতে রয়েছে মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি।
Then, when they saw the (Penalty in the shape of) a cloud traversing the sky, coming to meet their valleys, they said, "This cloud will give us rain!" "Nay, it is the (Calamity) ye were asking to be hastened!- A wind wherein is a Grievous Penalty! |
