যারা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় স্বীয় ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় করে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জনের লক্ষ্যে এবং নিজের মনকে সুদৃঢ় করার জন্যে তাদের উদাহরণ টিলায় অবস্থিত বাগানের মত, যাতে প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাত হয়; অতঃপর দ্বিগুণ ফসল দান করে। যদি এমন প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাত নাও হয়, তবে হাল্কা বর্ষণই যথেষ্ট। আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজকর্ম যথার্থই প্রত্যক্ষ করেন।
And the likeness of those who spend their substance, seeking to please Allah and to strengthen their souls, is as a garden, high and fertile: heavy rain falls on it but makes it yield a double increase of harvest, and if it receives not Heavy rain, light moisture sufficeth it. Allah seeth well whatever ye do. |

নিঃসন্দেহে সর্বপ্রথম ঘর যা মানুষের জন্যে নির্ধারিত হয়েছে, সেটাই হচ্ছে এ ঘর, যা মক্কায় অবস্থিত এবং সারা জাহানের মানুষের জন্য হেদায়েত ও বরকতময়।
The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings: |

নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল এবং এতদুভয়ে অবস্থিত সবকিছুর আধিপত্য আল্লাহরই। তিনি সবকিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান।
To Allah doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who hath power over all things. |

আর তাদের কাছে সে জনপদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস কর যা ছিল নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত। যখন শনিবার দিনের নির্দেশের ব্যাপারে সীমাতিক্রম করতে লাগল, যখন আসতে লাগল মাছগুলো তাদের কাছে শনিবার দিন পানির উপর, আর যেদিন শনিবার হত না, আসত না। এভাবে আমি তাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করেছি। কারণ, তারা ছিল নাফরমান।
Ask them concerning the town standing close by the sea. Behold! they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. For on the day of their Sabbath their fish did come to them, openly holding up their heads, but on the day they had no Sabbath, they came not: thus did We make a trial of them, for they were given to transgression. |

আর তাদেরকে শুনিয়ে দাও নূহের অবস্থা যখন সে স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, যদি তোমাদের মাঝে আমার অবস্থিতি এবং আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহের মাধ্যমে নসীহত করা ভারী বলে মনে হয়ে থাকে, তবে আমি আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করছি। এখন তোমরা সবাই মিলে নিজেরদের কর্ম সাব্যস্ত কর এবং এতে তোমাদের শরীকদেরকে সমবেত করে নাও, যাতে তোমাদের মাঝে নিজেদের কাজের ব্যাপারে কোন সন্দেহ-সংশয় না থাকে। অতঃপর আমার সম্পর্কে যা কিছু করার করে ফেল এবং আমাকে অব্যাহতি দিও না।
Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite. |

জনপদটি সোজা পথে অবস্থিত রয়েছে।
And the (cities were) right on the high-road. |

অতঃপর আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। উভয় বস্তি প্রকাশ্য রাস্তার উপর অবস্থিত।
So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. |

তুমি সূর্যকে দেখবে, যখন উদিত হয়, তাদের গুহা থেকে পাশ কেটে ডান দিকে চলে যায় এবং যখন অস্ত যায়, তাদের থেকে পাশ কেটে বামদিকে চলে যায়, অথচ তারা গুহার প্রশস্ত চত্বরে অবস্থিত। এটা আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলীর অন্যতম। আল্লাহ যাকে সৎপথে চালান, সেই সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত এবং তিনি যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন, আপনি কখনও তার জন্যে পথপ্রদর্শনকারী ও সাহায্যকারী পাবেন না।
Thou wouldst have seen the sun, when it rose, declining to the right from their Cave, and when it set, turning away from them to the left, while they lay in the open space in the midst of the Cave. Such are among the Signs of Allah: He whom Allah, guides is rightly guided; but he whom Allah leaves to stray,- for him wilt thou find no protector to lead him to the Right Way. |

যখন সে তার কাছে পৌছল, তখন পবিত্র ভূমিতে অবস্থিত উপত্যকার ডান প্রান্তের বৃক্ষ থেকে তাকে আওয়াজ দেয়া হল, হে মূসা! আমি আল্লাহ, বিশ্ব পালনকর্তা।
But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard from the right bank of the valley, from a tree in hallowed ground: "O Moses! Verily I am Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.... |

যার কাছে অবস্থিত বসবাসের জান্নাত।
Near it is the Garden of Abode. |
