তাদের অবস্থা সে ব্যক্তির মত, যে লোক কোথাও আগুন জ্বালালো এবং তার চারদিককার সবকিছুকে যখন আগুন স্পষ্ট করে তুললো, ঠিক এমনি সময় আল্লাহ তার চারদিকের আলোকে উঠিয়ে নিলেন এবং তাদেরকে অন্ধকারে ছেড়ে দিলেন। ফলে, তারা কিছুই দেখতে পায় না।
Their similitude is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in utter darkness. So they could not see. |

তারা বধির, মূক ও অন্ধ। সুতরাং তারা ফিরে আসবে না।
Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path). |
(আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |

বিদ্যুতালোকে যখন সামান্য আলোকিত হয়, তখন কিছুটা পথ চলে। আবার যখন অন্ধকার হয়ে যায়, তখন ঠাঁয় দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। যদি আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করেন, তাহলে তাদের শ্রবণশক্তি ও দৃষ্টিশক্তি ছিনিয়ে নিতে পারেন। আল্লাহ যাবতীয় বিষয়ের উপর সর্বময় ক্ষমতাশীল।
The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things. |

বস্তুতঃ এহেন কাফেরদের উদাহরণ এমন, যেন কেউ এমন কোন জীবকে আহবান করছে যা কোন কিছুই শোনে না, হাঁক-ডাক আর চিৎকার ছাড়া বধির মুক, এবং অন্ধ। সুতরাং তারা কিছুই বোঝে না।
The parable of those who reject Faith is as if one were to shout Like a goat-herd, to things that listen to nothing but calls and cries: Deaf, dumb, and blind, they are void of wisdom. |

যারা ঈমান এনেছে, আল্লাহ তাদের অভিভাবক। তাদেরকে তিনি বের করে আনেন অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর দিকে। আর যারা কুফরী করে তাদের অভিভাবক হচ্ছে তাগুত। তারা তাদেরকে আলো থেকে বের করে অন্ধকারের দিকে নিয়ে যায়। এরাই হলো দোযখের অধিবাসী, চিরকাল তারা সেখানেই থাকবে।
Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever). |

এর দ্বারা আল্লাহ যারা তাঁর সন্তুষ্টি কামনা করে, তাদেরকে নিরাপত্তার পথ প্রদর্শন করেন এবং তাদেরকে স্বীয় নির্দেশ দ্বারা অন্ধকার থেকে বের করে আলোর দিকে আনয়ন করেন এবং সরল পথে পরিচালনা করেন।
Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

তারা ধারণা করেছে যে, কোন অনিষ্ট হবে না। ফলে তারা আরও অন্ধ ও বধির হয়ে গেল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদের তওবা কবুল করলেন। এরপরও তাদের অধিকাংশই অন্ধ ও বধির হয়ে রইল। আল্লাহ দেখেন তারা যা কিছু করে।
They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do. |

সর্ববিধ প্রশংসা আল্লাহরই জন্য যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং অন্ধকার ও আলোর উদ্ভব করেছেন। তথাপি কাফেররা স্বীয় পালনকর্তার সাথে অন্যান্যকে সমতুল্য স্থির করে।
Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord. |

যারা আমার নিদর্শনসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে, তারা অন্ধকারের মধ্যে মূক ও বধির। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথভ্রষ্ট করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সরল পথে পরিচালিত করেন।
Those who reject our signs are deaf and dumb,- in the midst of darkness profound: whom Allah willeth, He leaveth to wander: whom He willeth, He placeth on the way that is straight. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |

আপনি বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে বলি না যে, আমার কাছে আল্লাহর ভান্ডার রয়েছে। তাছাড়া আমি অদৃশ্য বিষয় অবগতও নই। আমি এমন বলি না যে, আমি ফেরেশতা। আমি তো শুধু ঐ ওহীর অনুসরণ করি, যা আমার কাছে আসে। আপনি বলে দিনঃ অন্ধ ও চক্ষুমান কি সমান হতে পারে? তোমরা কি চিন্তা কর না ?
Say: "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor do I tell you I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me." Say: "can the blind be held equal to the seeing?" Will ye then consider not? |

আয়াতঃ ৫০) |

তাঁর কাছেই অদৃশ্য জগতের চাবি রয়েছে। এ গুলো তিনি ব্যতীত কেউ জানে না। স্থলে ও জলে যা আছে, তিনিই জানেন। কোন পাতা ঝরে না; কিন্তু তিনি তা জানেন। কোন শস্য কণা মৃত্তিকার অন্ধকার অংশে পতিত হয় না এবং কোন আর্দ্র ও শুস্ক দ্রব্য পতিত হয় না; কিন্তু তা সব প্রকাশ্য গ্রন্থে রয়েছে।
With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read). |

আপনি বলুনঃ কে তোমাদেরকে স্থল ও জলের অন্ধকার থেকে উদ্ধার করেন, যখন তোমরা তাঁকে বিনীতভাবে ও গোপনে আহবান কর যে, যদি আপনি আমাদের কে এ থেকে উদ্ধার করে নেন, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই কৃতজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাব।
Say: "Who is it that delivereth you from the dark recesses of land and sea, when ye call upon Him in humility and silent terror: 'If He only delivers us from these (dangers), (we vow) we shall truly show our gratitude'?" |

আয়াতঃ ৬৩) |

অনন্তর যখন রজনীর অন্ধকার তার উপর সমাচ্ছন্ন হল, তখন সে একটি তারকা দেখতে পেল, বললঃ ইহা আমার প্রতিপালক। অতঃপর যখন তা অস্তমিত হল তখন বললঃ আমি অস্তগামীদেরকে ভালবাসি না।
When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set." |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৭৬) |
| 14 |
তিনিই তোমাদের জন্য নক্ষত্রপুঞ্জ সৃজন করেছেন যাতে তোমরা স্থল ও জলের অন্ধকারে পথ প্রাপ্ত হও। নিশ্চয় যারা জ্ঞানী তাদের জন্যে আমি নির্দেশনাবলী বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা করে দিয়েছি।
It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know. |

আয়াতঃ ৯৭) |
| 15 |
তোমাদের কাছে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে নিদর্শনাবলী এসে গেছে। অতএব, যে প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, সে নিজেরই উপকার করবে এবং যে অন্ধ হবে, সে নিজেরই ক্ষতি করবে। আমি তোমাদের পর্যবেক্ষক নই।
"Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings." |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ১০৪) |
| 16 |
আর যে মৃত ছিল অতঃপর আমি তাকে জীবিত করেছি এবং তাকে এমন একটি আলো দিয়েছি, যা নিয়ে সে মানুষের মধ্যে চলাফেরা করে। সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির সমতুল্য হতে পারে, যে অন্ধকারে রয়েছে-সেখান থেকে বের হতে পারছে না? এমনিভাবে কাফেরদের দৃষ্টিতে তাদের কাজকর্মকে সুশোভিত করে দেয়া হয়েছে।
Can he who was dead, to whom We gave life, and a light whereby he can walk amongst men, be like him who is in the depths of darkness, from which he can never come out? Thus to those without faith their own deeds seem pleasing. |

আয়াতঃ ১২২) |
| 17 |
অতঃপর তারা তাকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করল। আমি তাকে এবং নৌকাস্থিত লোকদেরকে উদ্ধার করলাম এবং যারা মিথ্যারোপ করত, তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিলাম। নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল অন্ধ।
But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark: but We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people! |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |
| 18 |
আবার তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ তোমাদের প্রতি দৃষ্টিনিবদ্ধ রাখে; তুমি অন্ধদেরকে কি পথ দেখাবে যদি তারা মোটেও দেখতে না পারে।
And among them are some who look at thee: but canst thou guide the blind,- even though they will not see? |
(ইউনুস:
আয়াতঃ ৪৩) |

উভয় পক্ষের দৃষ্টান্ত হচ্ছে যেমন অন্ধ ও বধির এবং যে দেখতে পায় ও শুনতে পায় উভয়ের অবস্থা কি এক সমান? তবুও তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখ না?
These two kinds (of men) may be compared to the blind and deaf, and those who can see and hear well. Are they equal when compared? Will ye not then take heed? |

আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 20 |
তাদের মধ্য থেকে একজন বলল, তোমরা ইউসুফ কে হত্যা করো না, বরং ফেলে দাও তাকে অন্ধকূপে যাতে কোন পথিক তাকে উঠিয়ে নিয়ে যায়, যদি তোমাদের কিছু করতেই হয়।
Said one of them: "Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travellers." |
(ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 21 |
অতঃপর তারা যখন তাকে নিয়ে চলল এবং অন্ধকূপে নিক্ষেপ করতে একমত হল এবং আমি তাকে ইঙ্গিত করলাম যে, তুমি তাদেরকে তাদের এ কাজের কথা বলবে এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা তোমাকে চিনবে না।
So they did take him away, and they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well: and We put into his heart (this Message): 'Of a surety thou shalt (one day) tell them the truth of this their affair while they know (thee) not' |

আয়াতঃ ১৫) |

তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ গোপনে কথা বলুক বা তা সশব্দে প্রকাশ করুক, রাতের অন্ধকারে সে আত্নগোপন করুক বা প্রকাশ্য দিবালোকে বিচরণ করুক, সবাই তাঁর নিকট সমান।
It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceal his speech or declare it openly; whether he lie hid by night or walk forth freely by day. |
(রা'দ:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 23 |
জিজ্ঞেস করুন নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা কে? বলে দিনঃ আল্লাহ! বলুনঃ তবে কি তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন অভিভাবক স্থির করেছ, যারা নিজেদের ভাল-মন্দের ও মালিক নয়? বলুনঃ অন্ধ চক্ষুষ্মান কি সমান হয়? অথবা কোথাও কি অন্ধকার ও আলো সমান হয়। তবে কি তারা আল্লাহর জন্য এমন অংশীদার স্থির করেছে যে, তারা কিছু সৃষ্টি করেছে, যেমন সৃষ্টি করেছেন আল্লাহ? অতঃপর তাদের সৃষ্টি এরূপ বিভ্রান্তি ঘটিয়েছে? বলুনঃ আল্লাহই প্রত্যেক বস্তুর স্রষ্টা এবং তিনি একক, পরাক্রমশালী।
Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible." |

আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

যে ব্যক্তি জানে যে, যা কিছু পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আপনার প্রতি অবর্তীর্ণ হয়েছে তা সত্য সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির সমান, যে অন্ধ? তারাই বোঝে, যারা বোধশক্তি সম্পন্ন।
Is then one who doth know that that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth, like one who is blind? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition;- |

আয়াতঃ ১৯) |

আলিফ-লাম-রা; এটি একটি গ্রন্থ, যা আমি আপনার প্রতি নাযিল করেছি-যাতে আপনি মানুষকে অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর দিকে বের করে আনেন-পরাক্রান্ত, প্রশংসার যোগ্য পালনকর্তার নির্দেশে তাঁরই পথের দিকে।
A. L. R. A Book which We have revealed unto thee, in order that thou mightest lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into light - by the leave of their Lord - to the Way of (Him) the Exalted in power, worthy of all praise!- |

আমি মূসাকে নিদর্শনাবলী সহ প্রেরণ করেছিলাম যে, স্বজাতিকে অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর দিকে আনয়ন এবং তাদেরকে আল্লাহর দিনসমূহ স্মরণ করান। নিশ্চয় এতে প্রত্যেক ধৈর্যশীল কৃতজ্ঞের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
We sent Moses with Our signs (and the command). "Bring out thy people from the depths of darkness into light, and teach them to remember the Days of Allah." Verily in this there are Signs for such as are firmly patient and constant,- grateful and appreciative. |

আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 27 |
যে ব্যক্তি ইহকালে অন্ধ ছিল সে পরকালেও অন্ধ এবং অধিকতর পথভ্রান্ত।
But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the Path. |

সূর্য ঢলে পড়ার সময় থেকে রাত্রির অন্ধকার পর্যন্ত নামায কায়েম করুন এবং ফজরের কোরআন পাঠও। নিশ্চয় ফজরের কোরআন পাঠ মুখোমুখি হয়।
Establish regular prayers - at the sun's decline till the darkness of the night, and the morning prayer and reading: for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony. |

আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 29 |
আল্লাহ যাকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন, সেই তো সঠিক পথ প্রাপ্ত এবং যাকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করেন, তাদের জন্যে আপনি আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোন সাহায্যকারী পাবেন না। আমি কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের সমবেত করব তাদের মুখে ভর দিয়ে চলা অবস্থায়, অন্ধ অবস্থায়, মুক অবস্থায় এবং বধির অবস্থায়। তাদের আবাসস্থল জাহান্নাম। যখনই নির্বাপিত হওয়ার উপক্রম হবে আমি তখন তাদের জন্যে অগ্নি আরও বৃদ্ধি করে দিব।
It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true Guidance; but he whom He leaves astray - for such wilt thou find no protector besides Him. On the Day of Judgment We shall gather, them together, prone on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf: their abode will be Hell: every time it shows abatement, We shall increase from them the fierceness of the Fire. |

এবং যে আমার স্মরণ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেবে, তার জীবিকা সংকীর্ণ হবে এবং আমি তাকে কেয়ামতের দিন অন্ধ অবস্থায় উত্থিত করব।
"But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১২৪) |
| 31 |
সে বলবেঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে কেন অন্ধ অবস্থায় উত্থিত করলেন? আমি তো চক্ষুমান ছিলাম।
He will say: "O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?" |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১২৫) |
| 32 |
এবং মাছওয়ালার কথা স্মরণ করুন তিনি ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে চলে গিয়েছিলেন, অতঃপর মনে করেছিলেন যে, আমি তাঁকে ধৃত করতে পারব না। অতঃপর তিনি অন্ধকারের মধ্যে আহবান করলেনঃ তুমি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই; তুমি নির্দোষ আমি গুনাহগার।
And remember Zun-nun, when he departed in wrath: He imagined that We had no power over him! But he cried through the deptHs of darkness, "There is no god but thou: glory to thee: I was indeed wrong!" |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৮৭) |
| 33 |
তারা কি এই উদ্দেশ্যে দেশ ভ্রমণ করেনি, যাতে তারা সমঝদার হৃদয় ও শ্রবণ শক্তি সম্পন্ন কর্ণের অধিকারী হতে পারে? বস্তুতঃ চক্ষু তো অন্ধ হয় না, কিন্তু বক্ষ স্থিত অন্তরই অন্ধ হয়।
Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and minds) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts. |

আয়াতঃ ৪৬) |

অথবা (তাদের কর্ম) প্রমত্ত সমুদ্রের বুকে গভীর অন্ধকারের ন্যায়, যাকে উদ্বেলিত করে তরঙ্গের উপর তরঙ্গ, যার উপরে ঘন কালো মেঘ আছে। একের উপর এক অন্ধকার। যখন সে তার হাত বের করে, তখন তাকে একেবারেই দেখতে পায় না। আল্লাহ যাকে জ্যোতি দেন না, তার কোন জ্যোতিই নেই।
Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hands, he can hardly see it! for any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light! |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 35 |
অন্ধের জন্যে দোষ নেই, খঞ্জের জন্যে দোষ নেই, রোগীর জন্যে দোষ নেই, এবং তোমাদের নিজেদের জন্যেও দোষ নেই যে, তোমরা আহার করবে তোমাদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের পিতাদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের মাতাদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের ভ্রাতাদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের ভগিণীদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের পিতৃব্যদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের ফুফুদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের মামাদের গৃহে অথবা তোমাদের খালাদের গৃহে অথবা সেই গৃহে, যার চাবি আছে তোমাদের হাতে অথবা তোমাদের বন্ধুদের গৃহে। তোমরা একত্রে আহার কর অথবা পৃথকভবে আহার কর, তাতে তোমাদের কোন দোষ নেই। অতঃপর যখন তোমরা গৃহে প্রবেশ কর, তখন তোমাদের স্বজনদের প্রতি সালাম বলবে। এটা আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে কল্যাণময় ও পবিত্র দোয়া। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্যে আয়াতসমূহ বিশদভাবে বর্ননা করেন, যাতে তোমরা বুঝে নাও।
It is no fault in the blind nor in one born lame, nor in one afflicted with illness, nor in yourselves, that ye should eat in your own houses, or those of your fathers, or your mothers, or your brothers, or your sisters, or your father's brothers or your father's sisters, or your mother's brothers, or your mother's sisters, or in houses of which the keys are in your possession, or in the house of a sincere friend of yours: there is no blame on you, whether ye eat in company or separately. But if ye enter houses, salute each other - a greeting of blessing and purity as from Allah. Thus does Allah make clear the signs to you: that ye may understand. |

আয়াতঃ ৬১) |

এবং যাদেরকে তাদের পালনকর্তার আয়াতসমূহ বোঝানো হলে তাতে অন্ধ ও বধির সদৃশ আচরণ করে না।
Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind; |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৭৩) |
| 37 |
বল তো কে তোমাদেরকে জলে ও স্থলে অন্ধকারে পথ দেখান এবং যিনি তাঁর অনুগ্রহের পূর্বে সুসংবাদবাহী বাতাস প্রেরণ করেন? অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? তারা যাকে শরীক করে, আল্লাহ তা থেকে অনেক ঊর্ধ্বে।
Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah?- High is Allah above what they associate with Him! |

বরং পরকাল সম্পর্কে তাদের জ্ঞান নিঃশেষ হয়ে গেছে; বরং তারা এ বিষয়ে সন্দেহ পোষন করছে বরং এ বিষয়ে তারা অন্ধ।
Still less can their knowledge comprehend the Hereafter: Nay, they are in doubt and uncertainty thereanent; nay, they are blind thereunto! |

আপনি অন্ধদেরকে তাদের পথভ্রষ্টতা থেকে ফিরিয়ে সৎপথে আনতে পারবেন না। আপনি কেবল তাদেরকে শোনাতে পারবেন, যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস করে। অতএব, তারাই আজ্ঞাবহ।
Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. |

আপনি অন্ধদেরও তাদের পথভ্রষ্টতা থেকে পথ দেখাতে পারবেন না। আপনি কেবল তাদেরই শোনাতে পারবেন, যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস করে। কারন তারা মুসলমান।
Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam). |

একশ্রেণীর লোক আছে যারা মানুষকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে গোমরাহ করার উদ্দেশে অবান্তর কথাবার্তা সংগ্রহ করে অন্ধভাবে এবং উহাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করে। এদের জন্য রয়েছে অবমাননাকর শাস্তি।
But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. |

তিনিই তোমাদের প্রতি রহমত করেন এবং তাঁর ফেরেশতাগণও রহমতের দোয়া করেন-অন্ধকার থেকে তোমাদেরকে আলোকে বের করার জন্য। তিনি মুমিনদের প্রতি পরম দয়ালু।
He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you out from the depths of Darkness into Light: and He is Full of Mercy to the Believers. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ৪৩) |

সমান নয় অন্ধকার ও আলো।
Nor are the depths of Darkness and the Light; |

তাদের জন্যে এক নিদর্শন রাত্রি, আমি তা থেকে দিনকে অপসারিত করি, তখনই তারা অন্ধকারে থেকে যায়।
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; |

তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদেরকে একই ব্যক্তি থেকে। অতঃপর তা থেকে তার যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে আট প্রকার চতুষ্পদ জন্তু অবতীর্ণ করেছেন। তিনি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদের মাতৃগর্ভে পর্যায়ক্রমে একের পর এক ত্রিবিধ অন্ধকারে। তিনি আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, সাম্রাজ্য তাঁরই। তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব, তোমরা কোথায় বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছ?
He created you (all) from a single person: then created, of like nature, his mate; and he sent down for you eight head of cattle in pairs: He makes you, in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. such is Allah, your Lord and Cherisher: to Him belongs (all) dominion. There is no god but He: then how are ye turned away (from your true Centre)? |

অন্ধ ও চক্ষুষ্মান সমান নয়, আর যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে এবং কুকর্মী। তোমরা অল্পই অনুধাবন করে থাক।
Not equal are the blind and those who (clearly) see: Nor are (equal) those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and those who do evil. Little do ye learn by admonition! |

আর যারা সামূদ, আমি তাদেরকে প্রদর্শন করেছিলাম, অতঃপর তারা সৎপথের পরিবর্তে অন্ধ থাকাই পছন্দ করল। অতঃপর তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদেরকে অবমাননাকর আযাবের বিপদ এসে ধৃত করল।
As to the Thamud, We gave them Guidance, but they preferred blindness (of heart) to Guidance: so the stunning Punishment of humiliation seized them, because of what they had earned. |

আমি যদি একে অনারব ভাষায় কোরআন করতাম, তবে অবশ্যই তারা বলত, এর আয়াতসমূহ পরিস্কার ভাষায় বিবৃত হয়নি কেন? কি আশ্চর্য যে, কিতাব অনারব ভাষায় আর রসূল আরবী ভাষী! বলুন, এটা বিশ্বাসীদের জন্য হেদায়েত ও রোগের প্রতিকার। যারা মুমিন নয়, তাদের কানে আছে ছিপি, আর কোরআন তাদের জন্যে অন্ধত্ব। তাদেরকে যেন দূরবর্তী স্থান থেকে আহবান করা হয়।
Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!" |

আপনি কি বধিরকে শোনাতে পারবেন? অথবা যে অন্ধ ও যে স্পষ্ট পথ ভ্রষ্টতায় লিপ্ত, তাকে পথ প্রদর্শণ করতে পারবেন?
Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? |

অন্ধের জন্যে, খঞ্জের জন্যে ও রুগ্নের জন্যে কোন অপরাধ নাই এবং যে কেউ আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের অনুগত্য করবে তাকে তিনি জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত হয়। পক্ষান্তরে যে, ব্যক্তি পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন করবে, তাকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি দিবেন।
No blame is there on the blind, nor is there blame on the lame, nor on one ill (if he joins not the war): But he that obeys Allah and his Messenger,- (Allah) will admit him to Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and he who turns back, (Allah) will punish him with a grievous Penalty. |

তিনিই তাঁর দাসের প্রতি প্রকাশ্য আয়াত অবতীর্ণ করেন, যাতে তোমাদেরকে অন্ধকার থেকে আলোকে আনয়ন করেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু।
He is the One Who sends to His Servant Manifest Signs, that He may lead you from the depths of Darkness into the Light and verily Allah is to you most kind and Merciful. |

| 52 |
একজন রসূল, যিনি তোমাদের কাছে আল্লাহর সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করেন, যাতে বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্ধকার থেকে আলোতে আনয়ন করেন। যে আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, তিনি তাকে দাখিল করবেন জান্নাতে, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত, তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহ তাকে উত্তম রিযিক দেবেন।
An Messenger, who rehearses to you the Signs of Allah containing clear explanations, that he may lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness into Light. And those who believe in Allah and work righteousness, He will admit to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: Allah has indeed granted for them a most excellent Provision. |

তিনি এর রাত্রিকে করেছেন অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন এবং এর সূর্যোলোক প্রকাশ করেছেন।
Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). |

কারণ, তাঁর কাছে এক অন্ধ আগমন করল।
Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). |

অন্ধকার রাত্রির অনিষ্ট থেকে, যখন তা সমাগত হয়,
From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads; |
