আল্লাহ পাক নিঃসন্দেহে মশা বা তদুর্ধ্ব বস্তু দ্বারা উপমা পেশ করতে লজ্জাবোধ করেন না। বস্তুতঃ যারা মুমিন তারা নিশ্চিতভাবে বিশ্বাস করে যে, তাদের পালনকর্তা কর্তৃক উপস্থাপিত এ উপমা সম্পূর্ণ নির্ভূল ও সঠিক। আর যারা কাফের তারা বলে, এরূপ উপমা উপস্থাপনে আল্লাহর মতলবই বা কি ছিল। এ দ্বারা আল্লাহ তা’আলা অনেককে বিপথগামী করেন, আবার অনেককে সঠিক পথও প্রদর্শন করেন। তিনি অনুরূপ উপমা দ্বারা অসৎ ব্যক্তিবর্গ ভিন্ন কাকেও বিপথগামী করেন না।
Allah disdains not to use the similitude of things, lowest as well as highest. Those who believe know that it is truth from their Lord; but those who reject Faith say: "What means Allah by this similitude?" By it He causes many to stray, and many He leads into the right path; but He causes not to stray, except those who forsake (the path),- |

যারা কিছু জানে না, তারা বলে, আল্লাহ আমাদের সঙ্গে কেন কথা বলেন না? অথবা আমাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন কেন আসে না? এমনি ভাবে তাদের পূর্বে যারা ছিল তারাও তাদেরই অনুরূপ কথা বলেছে। তাদের অন্তর একই রকম। নিশ্চয় আমি উজ্জ্বল নিদর্শনসমূহ বর্ণনা করেছি তাদের জন্যে যারা প্রত্যয়শীল।
Say those without knowledge: "Why speaketh not Allah unto us? or why cometh not unto us a Sign?" So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike. We have indeed made clear the Signs unto any people who hold firmly to Faith (in their hearts). |

তারা কি বলে? কোরআন তুমি তৈরী করেছ? তুমি বল, তবে তোমরাও অনুরূপ দশটি সূরা তৈরী করে নিয়ে আস এবং আল্লাহ ছাড়া যাকে পার ডেকে নাও, যদি তোমাদের কথা সত্য হয়ে থাকে।
Or they may say, "He forged it," Say, "Bring ye then ten suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah!- If ye speak the truth! |

এরা আপনার কাছে মঙ্গলের পরিবর্তে দ্রুত অমঙ্গল কামনা করে। তাদের পূর্বে অনুরূপ অনেক শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত জনগোষ্ঠী অতিক্রান্ত হয়েছে। আপনার পালনকর্তা মানুষকে তাদের অন্যায় সত্বেও ক্ষমা করেন এবং আপনার পালনকর্তা কঠিন শাস্তিদাতা ও বটে।
They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: Yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment. |

বলুনঃ যদি মানব ও জ্বিন এই কোরআনের অনুরূপ রচনা করে আনয়নের জন্যে জড়ো হয়, এবং তারা পরস্পরের সাহায্যকারী হয়; তবুও তারা কখনও এর অনুরূপ রচনা করে আনতে পারবে না।
Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support. |

বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, লেখার জন্যে যদি সমুদ্রের পানি কালি হয়, তবে আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, শেষ হওয়ার আগেই সে সমুদ্র নিঃশেষিত হয়ে যাবে। সাহায্যার্থে অনুরূপ আরেকটি সমুদ্র এনে দিলেও।
Say: "If the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid." |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৯) |

অতএব, আমরাও তোমার মোকাবেলায় তোমার নিকট অনুরূপ যাদু উপস্থিত করব। সুতরাং আমাদের ও তোমার মধ্যে একটি ওয়াদার দিন ঠিক কর, যার খেলাফ আমরাও করব না এবং তুমিও করবে না একটি পরিষ্কার প্রান্তরে।
"But we can surely produce magic to match thine! So make a tryst between us and thee, which we shall not fail to keep - neither we nor thou - in a place where both shall have even chances." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:

ঈমানদার ব্যক্তি কি অবাধ্যের অনুরূপ? তারা সমান নয়।
Is then the man who believes no better than the man who is rebellious and wicked? Not equal are they. |
(সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 9 |
তোমরা গৃহাভ্যন্তরে অবস্থান করবে-মূর্খতা যুগের অনুরূপ নিজেদেরকে প্রদর্শন করবে না। নামায কায়েম করবে, যাকাত প্রদান করবে এবং আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের আনুগত্য করবে। হে নবী পরিবারের সদস্যবর্গ। আল্লাহ কেবল চান তোমাদের থেকে অপবিত্রতা দূর করতে এবং তোমাদেরকে পূর্ণরূপে পূত-পবিত্র রাখতে।
And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless. |

অনুরূপ ভাবে বিভিন্ন বর্ণের মানুষ, জন্তু, চতুস্পদ প্রাণী রয়েছে। আল্লাহর বান্দাদের মধ্যে জ্ঞানীরাই কেবল তাঁকে ভয় করে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী ক্ষমাময়।
And so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle, are they of various colours. Those truly fear Allah, among His Servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving. |

চন্দ্রের জন্যে আমি বিভিন্ন মনযিল নির্ধারিত করেছি। অবশেষে সে পুরাতন খর্জুর শাখার অনুরূপ হয়ে যায়।
And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk. |
(ইয়াসীন:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |

এবং তাদের জন্যে নৌকার অনুরূপ যানবাহন সৃষ্টি করেছি, যাতে তারা আরোহণ করে।
And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride. |
(ইয়াসীন:
আয়াতঃ ৪২) |
| 13 |
যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনিই কি তাদের অনুরূপ সৃষ্টি করতে সক্ষম নন? হ্যাঁ তিনি মহাস্রষ্টা, সর্বজ্ঞ।
"Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?" - Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)! |

যে মন্দ কর্ম করে, সে কেবল তার অনুরূপ প্রতিফল পাবে, আর যে, পুরুষ অথবা নারী মুমিন অবস্থায় সৎকর্ম করে তারাই জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে। তথায় তাদেরকে বে-হিসাব রিযিক দেয়া হবে।
"He that works evil will not be requited but by the like thereof: and he that works a righteous deed - whether man or woman - and is a Believer- such will enter the Garden (of Bliss): Therein will they have abundance without measure. |

তিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের স্রষ্টা। তিনি তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে তোমাদের জন্যে যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং চতুস্পদ জন্তুদের মধ্য থেকে জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন। এভাবে তিনি তোমাদের বংশ বিস্তার করেন। কোন কিছুই তাঁর অনুরূপ নয়। তিনি সব শুনেন, সব দেখেন।
(He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things). |

আর মন্দের প্রতিফল তো অনুরূপ মন্দই। যে ক্ষমা করে ও আপোষ করে তার পুরস্কার আল্লাহর কাছে রয়েছে; নিশ্চয় তিনি অত্যাচারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন নাই।
The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong. |

যদি তারা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাকে, তবেএর অনুরূপ কোন রচনা উপস্থিত করুক।
Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! |
(আত্ব তূর:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 18 |
তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের মধ্যে যাদের ঋতুবর্তী হওয়ার আশা নেই, তাদের ব্যাপারে সন্দেহ হলে তাদের ইদ্দত হবে তিন মাস। আর যারা এখনও ঋতুর বয়সে পৌঁছেনি, তাদেরও অনুরূপ ইদ্দতকাল হবে। গর্ভবর্তী নারীদের ইদ্দতকাল সন্তানপ্রসব পর্যন্ত। যে আল্লাহকে ভয় করে, আল্লাহ তার কাজ সহজ করে দেন।
Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy. |
(আত্ব-ত্বালাক্ব:
আয়াতঃ ৪) |
| 19 |
আমি তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি এবং মজবুত করেছি তাদের গঠন। আমি যখন ইচ্ছা করব, তখন তাদের পরিবর্তে তাদের অনুরূপ লোক আনব।
It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change. |
