হাঁ, যে ব্যক্তি পাপ অর্জন করেছে এবং সে পাপ তাকে পরিবেষ্টিত করে নিয়েছে, তারাই দোযখের অধিবাসী। তারা সেখানেই চিরকাল থাকবে।
Nay, those who seek gain in evil, and are girt round by their sins,- they are companions of the Fire: Therein shall they abide (For ever). |

পক্ষান্তরে যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং সৎকাজ করেছে, তারাই জান্নাতের অধিবাসী। তারা সেখানেই চিরকাল থাকবে।
But those who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever). |

যখন ইব্রাহীম বললেন, পরওয়ারদেগার! এ স্থানকে তুমি শান্তিধান কর এবং এর অধিবাসীদের মধ্যে যারা অল্লাহ ও কিয়ামতে বিশ্বাস করে, তাদেরকে ফলের দ্বারা রিযিক দান কর। বললেনঃ যারা অবিশ্বাস করে, আমি তাদেরও কিছুদিন ফায়দা ভোগ করার সুযোগ দেব, অতঃপর তাদেরকে বলপ্রয়োগে দোযখের আযাবে ঠেলে দেবো; সেটা নিকৃষ্ট বাসস্থান।
And remember Abraham said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its people with fruits,-such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "(Yea), and such as reject Faith,-for a while will I grant them their pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire,- an evil destination (indeed)!" |

সম্মানিত মাস সম্পর্কে তোমার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে যে, তাতে যুদ্ধ করা কেমন? বলে দাও এতে যুদ্ধ করা ভীষণ বড় পাপ। আর আল্লাহর পথে প্রতিবন্দ্বকতা সৃষ্টি করা এবং কুফরী করা, মসজিদে-হারামের পথে বাধা দেয়া এবং সেখানকার অধিবাসীদেরকে বহিস্কার করা, আল্লাহর নিকট তার চেয়েও বড় পাপ। আর ধর্মের ব্যাপারে ফেতনা সৃষ্টি করা নরহত্যা অপেক্ষাও মহা পাপ। বস্তুতঃ তারা তো সর্বদাই তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করতে থাকবে, যাতে করে তোমাদিগকে দ্বীন থেকে ফিরিয়ে দিতে পারে যদি সম্ভব হয়। তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা নিজের দ্বীন থেকে ফিরে দাঁড়াবে এবং কাফের অবস্থায় মৃত্যুবরণ করবে, দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে তাদের যাবতীয় আমল বিনষ্ট হয়ে যাবে। আর তারাই হলো দোযখবাসী। তাতে তারা চিরকাল বাস করবে।
They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month. Say: "Fighting therein is a grave (offence); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members." Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein. |

যারা ঈমান এনেছে, আল্লাহ তাদের অভিভাবক। তাদেরকে তিনি বের করে আনেন অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর দিকে। আর যারা কুফরী করে তাদের অভিভাবক হচ্ছে তাগুত। তারা তাদেরকে আলো থেকে বের করে অন্ধকারের দিকে নিয়ে যায়। এরাই হলো দোযখের অধিবাসী, চিরকাল তারা সেখানেই থাকবে।
Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever). |

নিশ্চয় যারা কাফের হয়, তাদের ধন সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি আল্লাহর সামনে কখনও কোন কাজে আসবে না। আর তারাই হলো দোযখের আগুনের অধিবাসী। তারা সে আগুনে চিরকাল থাকবে।
Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They will be companions of the Fire,-dwelling therein (for ever). |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬) |

আর তোমাদের কি হল যে, তেমারা আল্লাহর রাহে লড়াই করছ না দুর্বল সেই পুরুষ, নারী ও শিশুদের পক্ষে, যারা বলে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা! আমাদিগকে এই জনপদ থেকে নিষ্কৃতি দান কর; এখানকার অধিবাসীরা যে, অত্যাচারী! আর তোমার পক্ষ থেকে আমাদের জন্য পক্ষালম্বনকারী নির্ধারণ করে দাও এবং তোমার পক্ষ থেকে আমাদের জন্য সাহায্যকারী নির্ধারণ করে দাও।
And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from Thee one who will protect; and raise for us from Thee one who will help!" |

এটা এ জন্যে যে, আপনার প্রতিপালক কোন জনপদের অধিবাসীদেরকে জুলুমের কারণে ধ্বংস করেন না এমতাবস্থায় যে, তথাকার অধিবাসীরা অজ্ঞ থাকে।
(The messengers were sent) thus, for thy Lord would not destroy for their wrong-doing men's habitations whilst their occupants were unwarned. |

যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে আমি কাউকে তার সামর্থ্যের চাইতে বেশী বোঝা দেই না। তারাই জান্নাতের অধিবাসী। তারা তাতেই চিরকাল থাকবে।
But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (for ever). |
(আল আ'রাফ:

আর আমি কোন জনপদে কোন নবী পাঠাইনি, তবে (এমতাবস্থায়) যে পাকড়াও করেছি সে জনপদের অধিবাসীদিগকে কষ্ট ও কঠোরতার মধ্যে, যাতে তারা শিথিল হয়ে পড়ে।
Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৪) |

আর যদি সে জনপদের অধিবাসীরা ঈমান আনত এবং পরহেযগারী অবলম্বন করত, তবে আমি তাদের প্রতি আসমানী ও পার্থিব নেয়ামত সমূহ উম্মুক্ত করে দিতাম। কিন্তু তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে। সুতরাং আমি তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি তাদের কৃতকর্মের বদলাতে।
If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৬) |

এখনও কি এই জনপদের অধিবাসীরা এ ব্যাপারে নিশ্চিন্ত যে, আমার আযাব তাদের উপর রাতের বেলায় এসে পড়বে অথচ তখন তারা থাকবে ঘুমে অচেতন।
Did the people of the towns feel secure against the coming of Our wrath by night while they were asleep? |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৭) |
| 13 |
আর এই জনপদের অধিবাসীরা কি নিশ্চিন্ত হয়ে পড়েছে যে, তাদের উপর আমার আযাব দিনের বেলাতে এসে পড়বে অথচ তারা তখন থাকবে খেলা-ধুলায় মত্ত।
Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)? |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৮) |
| 14 |
ফেরাউন বলল, তোমরা কি (তাহলে) আমার অনুমতি দেয়ার আগেই ঈমান আনলে! এটা প্রতারণা, যা তোমরা এ নগরীতে প্রদর্শন করলে। যাতে করে এ শহরের অধিবাসীদিগকে শহর থেকে বের করে দিতে পার। সুতরাং তোমরা শীঘ্রই বুঝতে পারবে।
Said Pharaoh: "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this is a trick which ye have planned in the city to drive out its people: but soon shall ye know (the consequences). |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১২৩) |

নিশ্চয় গহীন বনের অধিবাসীরা পাপী ছিল।
And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; |

আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 16 |
আপনি কি ধারণা করেন যে, গুহা ও গর্তের অধিবাসীরা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে বিস্ময়কর ছিল ?
Or dost thou reflect that the Companions of the Cave and of the Inscription were wonders among Our Sign? |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 17 |
অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল, অবশেষে যখন একটি জনপদের অধিবাসীদের কাছে পৌছে তাদের কাছে খাবার চাইল, তখন তারা তাদের অতিথেয়তা করতে অস্বীকার করল। অতঃপর তারা সেখানে একটি পতনোম্মুখ প্রাচীর দেখতে পেলেন, সেটি তিনি সোজা করে দাঁড় করিয়ে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের কাছ থেকে এর পারিশ্রমিক আদায় করতে পারতেন।
Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: "If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!" |

আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |

আমি কত জনপদের ধ্বংস সাধন করেছি যার অধিবাসীরা ছিল পাপী এবং তাদের পর সৃষ্টি করেছি অন্য জাতি।
How many were the populations We utterly destroyed because of their iniquities, setting up in their places other peoples? |

আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 19 |
যেসব জনপদকে আমি ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, তার অধিবাসীদের ফিরে না আসা অবধারিত।
But there is a ban on any population which We have destroyed: that they shall not return, |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৯৫) |
| 20 |
এবং মাদইয়ানের অধিবাসীরা এবং মিথ্যাবাদী বলা হয়েছিল মূসাকেও। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে সুযোগ দিয়েছিলাম এরপর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছিলাম অতএব কি ভীষণ ছিল আমাকে অস্বীকৃতির পরিণাম।
And the Companions of the Madyan People; and Moses was rejected (in the same way). But I granted respite to the Unbelievers, and (only) after that did I punish them: but how (terrible) was my rejection (of them)! |

এবং যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে ব্যর্থ করার জন্যে চেষ্টা করে, তারাই দোযখের অধিবাসী।
"But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them,- they will be Companions of the Fire." |

বনের অধিবাসীরা পয়গম্বরগণকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছে।
The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. |

তিনি শহরে প্রবেশ করলেন, যখন তার অধিবাসীরা ছিল বেখবর। তথায় তিনি দুই ব্যক্তিকে লড়াইরত দেখলেন। এদের একজন ছিল তাঁর নিজ দলের এবং অন্য জন তাঁর শত্রু দলের। অতঃপর যে তাঁর নিজ দলের সে তাঁর শত্রু দলের লোকটির বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর কাছে সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করল। তখন মূসা তাকে ঘুষি মারলেন এবং এতেই তার মৃত্যু হয়ে গেল। মূসা বললেন, এটা শয়তানের কাজ। নিশ্চয় সে প্রকাশ্য শত্রু, বিভ্রান্তকারী।
And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!" |

আয়াতঃ ১৫) |

আমি অনেক জনপদ ধবংস করেছি, যার অধিবাসীরা তাদের জীবন যাপনে মদমত্ত ছিল। এগুলোই এখন তাদের ঘর-বাড়ী। তাদের পর এগুলোতে মানুষ সামান্যই বসবাস করেছে। অবশেষে আমিই মালিক রয়েছি।
And how many populations We destroyed, which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! now those habitations of theirs, after them, are deserted,- All but a (miserable) few! and We are their heirs! |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |
| 25 |
যখন আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ সুসংবাদ নিয়ে ইব্রাহীমের কাছে আগমন করল, তখন তারা বলল, আমরা এই জনপদের অধিবাসীদেরকে ধ্বংস করব। নিশ্চয় এর অধিবাসীরা জালেম।
When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said: "We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township: for truly they are (addicted to) crime." |
(আল আনকাবুত:
আয়াতঃ ৩১) |

আমরা এই জনপদের অধিবাসীদের উপর আকাশ থেকে আযাব নাজিল করব তাদের পাপাচারের কারণে।
"For we are going to bring down on the people of this township a Punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious." |
(আল আনকাবুত:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 27 |
সাবার অধিবাসীদের জন্যে তাদের বাসভূমিতে ছিল এক নিদর্শন-দুটি উদ্যান, একটি ডানদিকে, একটি বামদিকে। তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার রিযিক খাও এবং তাঁর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর। স্বাস্থ্যকর শহর এবং ক্ষমাশীল পালনকর্তা।
There was, for Saba, aforetime, a Sign in their home-land - two Gardens to the right and to the left. "Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him: a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving! |

আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 28 |
কোন জনপদে সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করা হলেই তার বিত্তশালী অধিবাসীরা বলতে শুরু করেছে, তোমরা যে বিষয়সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ, আমরা তা মানি না।
Never did We send a warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which ye have been sent." |
(সাবা:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 29 |
আপনি তাদের কাছে সে জনপদের অধিবাসীদের দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করুন, যখন সেখানে রসূল আগমন করেছিলেন।
Set forth to them, by way of a parable, the (story of) the Companions of the City. Behold!, there came messengers to it. |

আয়াতঃ ১৩) |

আর যারা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে তারাই তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে সিদ্দীক ও শহীদ বলে বিবেচিত। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে পুরস্কার ও জ্যোতি এবং যারা কাফের ও আমার নিদর্শন অস্বীকারকারী তারাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী হবে।
And those who believe in Allah and His messengers- they are the Sincere (lovers of Truth), and the witnesses (who testify), in the eyes of their Lord: They shall have their Reward and their Light. But those who reject Allah and deny Our Signs,- they are the Companions of Hell-Fire. |
(আল হাদীদ:
আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 31 |
আল্লাহর কবল থেকে তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তাদেরকে মোটেই বাঁচাতে পারবেনা। তারাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।
Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons: they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)! |
(আল মুজাদালাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 32 |
জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী এবং জান্নাতের অধিবাসী সমান হতে পারে না। যারা জান্নাতের অধিবাসী, তারাই সফলকাম।
Not equal are the Companions of the Fire and the Companions of the Garden: it is the Companions of the Garden, that will achieve Felicity. |
(আল হাশর:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |

আর যারা কাফের এবং আমার আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে, তারাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী, তারা তথায় অনন্তকাল থাকবে। কতই না মন্দ প্রত্যাবর্তনস্থল এটা।
But those who reject Faith and treat Our Signs as falsehoods, they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein for aye: and evil is that Goal. |
