আহলে কিতাবদের অনেকেই প্রতিহিংসাবশতঃ চায় যে, মুসলমান হওয়ার পর তোমাদেরকে কোন রকমে কাফের বানিয়ে দেয়। তাদের কাছে সত্য প্রকাশিত হওয়ার পর (তারা এটা চায়)। যাক তোমরা আল্লাহর নির্দেশ আসা পর্যন্ত তাদের ক্ষমা কর এবং উপেক্ষা কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান।
Quite a number of the People of the Book wish they could Turn you (people) back to infidelity after ye have believed, from selfish envy, after the Truth hath become Manifest unto them: But forgive and overlook, Till Allah accomplish His purpose; for Allah Hath power over all things. |

যাঁরা দাঁড়িয়ে, বসে, ও শায়িত অবস্থায় আল্লাহকে স্মরণ করে এবং চিন্তা গবেষণা করে আসমান ও জমিন সৃষ্টির বিষযে, (তারা বলে) পরওয়ারদেগার! এসব তুমি অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করনি। সকল পবিত্রতা তোমারই, আমাদিগকে তুমি দোযখের শাস্তি থেকে বাঁচাও।
Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire. |

(তারা আল্লাহর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করে) যাতে আল্লাহ তাদের উৎকৃষ্টতর কাজের প্রতিদান দেন এবং নিজ অনুগ্রহে আরও অধিক দেন। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা অপরিমিত রুযী দান করেন।
That Allah may reward them according to the best of their deeds, and add even more for them out of His Grace: for Allah doth provide for those whom He will, without measure. |
