| 1 | আর যখন তোমরা স্ত্রীদেরকে তালাক দিয়ে দাও এবং তারপর তারাও নির্ধারিত ইদ্দত পূর্ন করতে থাকে, তখন তাদেরকে পূর্ব স্বামীদের সাথে পারস্পরিক সম্মতির ভিত্তিতে নিয়মানুযায়ী বিয়ে করতে বাধাদান করো না। এ উপদেশ তাকেই দেয়া হচ্ছে, যে আল্লাহ ও কেয়ামত দিনের উপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে। এর মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে একান্ত পরিশুদ্ধতা ও অনেক পবিত্রতা। আর আল্লাহ জানেন, তোমরা জান না। When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms. This instruction is for all amongst you, who believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is (the course Making for) most virtue and purity amongst you and Allah knows, and ye know not. |

| 2 | তারা কি লক্ষ্য করে না, প্রতি বছর তারা দু’একবার বিপর্যস্ত হচ্ছে, অথচ, তারা এরপরও তওবা করে না কিংবা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করে না। See they not that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed. |

| 3 | বলুন, যারা পথভ্রষ্টতায় আছে, দয়াময় আল্লাহ তাদেরকে যথেষ্ট অবকাশ দেবেন; এমনকি অবশেষে তারা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে যে বিষয়ে তাদেরকে ওয়াদা দেয়া হচ্ছে, তা আযাব হোক অথবা কেয়ামতই হোক। সুতরাং তখন তারা জানতে পারবে কে মর্তবায় নিকৃষ্ট ও দলবলে দূর্বল। Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! |

| 4 | এবং আমি তোমাকে মনোনীত করেছি, অতএব যা প্রত্যাদেশ করা হচ্ছে, তা শুনতে থাক। "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). |

| 5 | তোমাদেরকে যে ওয়াদা দেয়া হচ্ছে, তা কোথায় হতে পারে? "Far, very far is that which ye are promised! |

| 6 | শুন, তোমরাই তো তারা, যাদেরকে আল্লাহর পথে ব্যয় করার আহবান জানানো হচ্ছে, অতঃপর তোমাদের কেউ কেউ কৃপণতা করছে। যারা কৃপণতা করছে, তারা নিজেদের প্রতিই কৃপণতা করছে। আল্লাহ অভাবমুক্ত এবং তোমরা অভাবগ্রস্থ। যদি তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নাও, তবে তিনি তোমাদের পরিবর্তে অন্য জাতিকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করবেন, এরপর তারা তোমাদের মত হবে না। Behold, ye are those invited to spend (of your substance) in the Way of Allah: But among you are some that are niggardly. But any who are niggardly are so at the expense of their own souls. But Allah is free of all wants, and it is ye that are needy. If ye turn back (from the Path), He will substitute in your stead another people; then they would not be like you! |
