| 1 | প্রসব বেদনা তাঁকে এক খেজুর বৃক্ষ-মূলে আশ্রয় নিতে বাধ্য করল। তিনি বললেনঃ হায়, আমি যদি কোনরূপে এর পূর্বে মরে যেতাম এবং মানুষের স্মৃতি থেকে বিলুপ্ত হয়ে, যেতাম! And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!" |

| 2 | তারা বলবে-আপনি পবিত্র, আমরা আপনার পরিবর্তে অন্যকে মুরুব্বীরূপে গ্রহণ করতে পারতাম না; কিন্তু আপনিই তো তাদেরকে এবং তাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে ভোগসম্ভার দিয়েছিলেন, ফলে তারা আপনার স্মৃতি বিস্মৃত হয়েছিল এবং তারা ছিল ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত জাতি। They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost." |

| 3 | যাতে এ ঘটনা তোমাদের জন্যে স্মৃতির বিষয় এবং কান এটাকে উপদেশ গ্রহণের উপযোগী রূপে গ্রহণ করে। That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance. |
