| 1 | অতঃপর তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের দোয়া (এই বলে) কবুল করে নিলেন যে, আমি তোমাদের কোন পরিশ্রমকারীর পরিশ্রমই বিনষ্ট করি না, তা সে পুরুষ হোক কিংবা স্ত্রীলোক। তোমরা পরস্পর এক। তারপর সে সমস্ত লোক যারা হিজরত করেছে, তাদেরকে নিজেদের দেশ থেকে বের করে দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং তাদের প্রতি উৎপীড়ন করা হয়েছে আমার পথে এবং যারা লড়াই করেছে ও মৃত্যুবরণ করেছে, অবশ্যই আমি তাদের উপর থেকে অকল্যাণকে অপসারিত করব। এবং তাদেরকে প্রবিষ্ট করব জান্নাতে যার তলদেশে নহর সমূহ প্রবাহিত। এই হলো বিনিময় আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে। আর আল্লাহর নিকট রয়েছে উত্তম বিনিময়। And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes, or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or been slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the presence of Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards." |

| 2 | এবং নারীদের মধ্যে তাদের ছাড়া সকল সধবা স্ত্রীলোক তোমাদের জন্যে নিষিদ্ধ; তোমাদের দক্ষিণ হস্ত যাদের মালিক হয়ে যায়-এটা তোমাদের জন্য আল্লাহর হুকুম। এদেরকে ছাড়া তোমাদের জন্যে সব নারী হালাল করা হয়েছে, শর্ত এই যে, তোমরা তাদেরকে স্বীয় অর্থের বিনিময়ে তলব করবে বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ করার জন্য-ব্যভিচারের জন্য নয়। অনন্তর তাদের মধ্যে যাকে তোমরা ভোগ করবে, তাকে তার নির্ধারিত হক দান কর। তোমাদের কোন গোনাহ হবে না যদি নির্ধারণের পর তোমরা পরস্পরে সম্মত হও। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সুবিজ্ঞ, রহস্যবিদ। Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise. |

| 3 | পুরুষেরা নারীদের উপর কৃর্তত্বশীল এ জন্য যে, আল্লাহ একের উপর অন্যের বৈশিষ্ট্য দান করেছেন এবং এ জন্য যে, তারা তাদের অর্থ ব্যয় করে। সে মতে নেককার স্ত্রীলোকগণ হয় অনুগতা এবং আল্লাহ যা হেফাযতযোগ্য করে দিয়েছেন লোক চক্ষুর অন্তরালেও তার হেফাযত করে। আর যাদের মধ্যে অবাধ্যতার আশঙ্কা কর তাদের সদুপদেশ দাও, তাদের শয্যা ত্যাগ কর এবং প্রহার কর। যদি তাতে তারা বাধ্য হয়ে যায়, তবে আর তাদের জন্য অন্য কোন পথ অনুসন্ধান করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সবার উপর শ্রেষ্ঠ। Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). |

| 4 | ঈমানদার নারীদেরকে বলুন, তারা যেন তাদের দৃষ্টিকে নত রাখে এবং তাদের যৌন অঙ্গের হেফাযত করে। তারা যেন যা সাধারণতঃ প্রকাশমান, তা ছাড়া তাদের সৌন্দর্য প্রদর্শন না করে এবং তারা যেন তাদের মাথার ওড়না বক্ষ দেশে ফেলে রাখে এবং তারা যেন তাদের স্বামী, পিতা, শ্বশুর, পুত্র, স্বামীর পুত্র, ভ্রাতা, ভ্রাতুস্পুত্র, ভগ্নিপুত্র, স্ত্রীলোক অধিকারভুক্ত বাঁদী, যৌনকামনামুক্ত পুরুষ, ও বালক, যারা নারীদের গোপন অঙ্গ সম্পর্কে অজ্ঞ, তাদের ব্যতীত কারো আছে তাদের সৌন্দর্য প্রকাশ না করে, তারা যেন তাদের গোপন সাজ-সজ্জা প্রকাশ করার জন্য জোরে পদচারণা না করে। মুমিনগণ, তোমরা সবাই আল্লাহর সামনে তওবা কর, যাতে তোমরা সফলকাম হও। And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss. |

| 5 | যখন তিনি মাদইয়ানের কূপের ধারে পৌছলেন, তখন কূপের কাছে একদল লোককে পেলেন তারা জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করানোর কাজে রত। এবং তাদের পশ্চাতে দূ’জন স্ত্রীলোককে দেখলেন তারা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে আগলিয়ে রাখছে। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের কি ব্যাপার? তারা বলল, আমরা আমাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করাতে পারি না, যে পর্যন্ত রাখালরা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে নিয়ে সরে না যায়। আমাদের পিতা খুবই বৃদ্ধ। And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man." |
