“বিতাড়িত শয়তান হতে আল্লাহর নিকট আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি। পরম করুণাময় ও অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে আরম্ভ করছি।”

নং আয়াত সূরা
1 এবং যখন আমি হযরত আদম (আঃ)-কে সেজদা করার জন্য ফেরেশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দিলাম, তখনই ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সিজদা করলো। সে (নির্দেশ) পালন করতে অস্বীকার করল এবং অহংকার প্রদর্শন করল। ফলে সে কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গেল।
And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.		 (আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪)
2 আর যখন আমি বললাম, তোমরা প্রবেশ কর এ নগরীতে এবং এতে যেখানে খুশী খেয়ে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে বিচরণ করতে থাক এবং দরজার ভিতর দিয়ে প্রবেশ করার সময় সেজদা করে ঢুক, আর বলতে থাক-‘আমাদিগকে ক্ষমা করে দাও’-তাহলে আমি তোমাদের অপরাধ ক্ষমা করব এবং সৎ কর্মশীলদেরকে অতিরিক্ত দানও করব।
And remember We said: "Enter this town, and eat of the plenty therein as ye wish; but enter the gate with humility, in posture and in words, and We shall forgive you your faults and increase (the portion of) those who do good."		 (আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮)
3 যখন আমি কা’বা গৃহকে মানুষের জন্যে সম্মিলন স্থল ও শান্তির আলয় করলাম, আর তোমরা ইব্রাহীমের দাঁড়ানোর জায়গাকে নামাযের জায়গা বানাও এবং আমি ইব্রাহীম ও ইসমাঈলকে আদেশ করলাম, তোমরা আমার গৃহকে তওয়াফকারী, অবস্থানকারী ও রুকু-সেজদাকারীদের জন্য পবিত্র রাখ।
Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).		 (আল বাকারা:

4 হে মারইয়াম! তোমার পালনকর্তার উপাসনা কর এবং রুকুকারীদের সাথে সেজদা ও রুকু কর।
"O Mary! worship Thy Lord devoutly: Prostrate thyself, and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down."		 (আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৪৩)
5 তারা সবাই সমান নয়। আহলে কিতাবদের মধ্যে কিছু লোক এমনও আছে যারা অবিচলভাবে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করে এবং রাতের গভীরে তারা সেজদা করে।
Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration.		 (আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১১৩)
6 যখন আপনি তাদের মধ্যে থাকেন, অতঃপর নামাযে দাঁড়ান, তখন যেন একদল দাঁড়ায় আপনার সাথে এবং তারা যেন স্বীয় অস্ত্র সাথে নেয়। অতঃপর যখন তারা সেজদা সম্পন্ন করে, তখন আপনার কাছ থেকে যেন সরে যায় এবং অন্য দল যেন আসে, যারা নামায পড়েনি। অতঃপর তারা যেন আপনার সাথে নামায পড়ে এবং আত্মরক্ষার হাতিয়ার সাথে নেয়। কাফেররা চায় যে, তোমরা কোন রূপে অসতর্ক থাক, যাতে তারা একযোগে তোমাদেরকে আক্রমণ করে বসে। যদি বৃষ্টির কারণে তোমাদের কষ্ট হয় অথবা তোমরা অসুস্থ হও তবে স্বীয় অস্ত্র পরিত্যাগ করায় তোমাদের কোন গোনাহ নেই এবং সাথে নিয়ে নাও তোমাদের আত্নরক্ষার অস্ত্র। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ কাফেরদের জন্যে অপমানকর শাস্তি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছেন।
When thou (O Messenger) art with them, and standest to lead them in prayer, Let one party of them stand up (in prayer) with thee, Taking their arms with them: When they finish their prostrations, let them Take their position in the rear. And let the other party come up which hath not yet prayed - and let them pray with thee, Taking all precaution, and bearing arms: the Unbelievers wish, if ye were negligent of your arms and your baggage, to assault you in a single rush. But there is no blame on you if ye put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because ye are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment.		 (আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১০২)
7 আর আমি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, এরপর আকার-অবয়ব, তৈরী করেছি। অতঃপর আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলছি-আদমকে সেজদা কর তখন সবাই সেজদা করেছে, কিন্তু ইবলীস সে সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিল না।
It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate.		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১১)
8 আল্লাহ বললেনঃ আমি যখন নির্দেশ দিয়েছি, তখন তোকে কিসে সেজদা করতে বারণ করল? সে বললঃ আমি তার চাইতে শ্রেষ্ট। আপনি আমাকে আগুন দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটির দ্বারা।
(Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay."		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১২)
9 আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমার প্রতিপালক সুবিচারের নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন এবং তোমরা প্রত্যেক সেজদার সময় স্বীয় মুখমন্ডল সোজা রাখ এবং তাঁকে খাঁটি আনুগত্যশীল হয়ে ডাক। তোমাদেরকে প্রথমে যেমন সৃষ্টি করেছেন, পুনর্বারও সৃজিত হবে।
Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return."		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২৯)
10 এবং যাদুকররা সেজদায় পড়ে গেল।
But the sorcerers fell down prostrate in adoration.		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১২০)
11 নিশ্চয়ই যারা তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের সান্নিধ্যে রয়েছেন, তারা তাঁর বন্দেগীর ব্যাপারে অহঙ্কার করেন না এবং স্মরণ করেন তাঁর পবিত্র সত্তাকে; আর তাঁকেই সেজদা করেন।
Those who are near to thy Lord, disdain not to do Him worship: They celebrate His praises, and prostrate before Him.		 (আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২০৬)
12 যখন ইউসুফ পিতাকে বললঃ পিতা, আমি স্বপ্নে দেখেছি এগারটি নক্ষত্রকে। সুর্যকে এবং চন্দ্রকে। আমি তাদেরকে আমার উদ্দেশে সেজদা করতে দেখেছি।
Behold! Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!"		 (ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ৪)
13 এবং তিনি পিতা-মাতাকে সিংহাসনের উপর বসালেন এবং তারা সবাই তাঁর সামনে সেজদাবনত হল। তিনি বললেনঃ পিতা এ হচ্ছে আমার ইতিপূর্বেকার স্বপ্নের বর্ণনা আমার পালনকর্তা একে সত্যে পরিণত করেছেন এবং তিনি আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন। আমাকে জেল থেকে বের করেছেন এবং আপনাদেরকে গ্রাম থেকে নিয়ে এসেছেন, শয়তান আমার ও আমার ভাইদের মধ্যে কলহ সৃষ্টি করে দেয়ার পর। আমার পালনকর্তা যা চান, কৌশলে সম্পন্ন করেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি বিজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
And he raised his parents high on the throne (of dignity), and they fell down in prostration, (all) before him. He said: "O my father! this is the fulfilment of my vision of old! Allah hath made it come true! He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert, (even) after Satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Verily my Lord understandeth best the mysteries of all that He planneth to do, for verily He is full of knowledge and wisdom.		 (ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০০)
14 আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু নভোমন্ডলে ও ভূমন্ডলে আছে ইচ্ছায় অথবা অনিচ্ছায় এবং তাদের প্রতিচ্ছায়াও সকাল-সন্ধ্যায়।
Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah (Acknowledging subjection),- with good-will or in spite of themselves: so do their shadows in the morning and evenings.		 (রা'দ:
আয়াতঃ ১৫)
15 অতঃপর যখন তাকে ঠিকঠাক করে নেব এবং তাতে আমার রূহ থেকে ফঁুক দেব, তখন তোমরা তার সামনে সেজদায় পড়ে যেয়ো।
"When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."		 (হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ২৯)
16 তখন ফেরেশতারা সবাই মিলে সেজদা করল।
So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:		 (হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৩০)
17 কিন্তু ইবলীস-সে সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হল না।
Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.		 (হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৩১)
18 আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে ইবলিস, তোমার কি হলো যে তুমি সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হলে না?
(Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?"		 (হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৩২)
19 বললঃ আমি এমন নই যে, একজন মানবকে সেজদা করব, যাকে আপনি পচা কর্দম থেকে তৈরী ঠনঠনে বিশুষ্ক মাটি দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন।
(Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape."		 (হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৩৩)
20 অতএব আপনি পালনকর্তার সৌন্দর্য স্মরণ করুন এবং সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যান।
But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.		 (হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৯৮)
21 তারা কি আল্লাহর সৃজিত বস্তু দেখে না, যার ছায়া আল্লাহর প্রতি বিনীতভাবে সেজদাবনত থেকে ডান ও বাম দিকে ঝুঁকে পড়ে।
Do they not look at Allah's creation, (even) among (inanimate) things,- How their (very) shadows turn round, from the right and the left, prostrating themselves to Allah, and that in the humblest manner?		 (নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৮)
22 আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু নভোমন্ডলে আছে এবং যা কিছু ভুমন্ডলে আছে এবং ফেরেশতাগণ; তারা অহংকার করে না।
And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord).		 (নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯)
23 স্মরণ কর, যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সেজদায় পড়ে গেল। কিন্তু সে বললঃ আমি কি এমন ব্যক্তিকে সেজদা করব, যাকে আপনি মাটির দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন?
Behold! We said to the angels: "Bow down unto Adam": They bowed down except Iblis: He said, "Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?"		 (বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৬১)
24 বলুনঃ তোমরা কোরআনকে মান্য কর অথবা অমান্য কর; যারা এর পূর্ব থেকে এলেম প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে, যখন তাদের কাছে এর তেলাওয়াত করা হয়, তখন তারা নতমস্তকে সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে।
Say: "Whether ye believe in it or not, it is true that those who were given knowledge beforehand, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration,		 (বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ১০৭)
25 যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন সবাই সেজদা করল ইবলীস ব্যতীত। সে ছিল জিনদের একজন। সে তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল। অতএব তোমরা কি আমার পরিবর্তে তাকে এবং তার বংশধরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করছ? অথচ তারা তোমাদের শত্রু। এটা জালেমদের জন্যে খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বদল।
Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!		 (কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৫০)
26 এরাই তারা-নবীগণের মধ্য থেকে যাদেরকে আল্লাহ তা’আলা নেয়ামত দান করেছেন। এরা আদমের বংশধর এবং যাদেরকে আমি নূহের সাথে নৌকায় আরোহন করিয়েছিলাম, তাদের বংশধর, এবং ইব্রাহীম ও ইসরাঈলের বংশধর এবং যাদেরকে আমি পথ প্রদর্শন করেছি ও মনোনীত করেছি, তাদের বংশোদ্ভূত। তাদের কাছে যখন দয়াময় আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করা হত, তখন তারা সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ত এবং ক্রন্দন করত।
Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace,- of the posterity of Adam, and of those who We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.		 (মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮)
27 অতঃপর যাদুকররা সেজদায় পড়ে গেল। তারা বললঃ আমরা হারুন ও মূসার পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম।
So the magicians were thrown down to prostration: they said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses".		 (ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৭০)
28 যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ তোমরা আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সেজদা করল। সে অমান্য করল।
When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused.		 (ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬)
29 তুমি কি দেখনি যে, আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু আছে নভোমন্ডলে, যা কিছু আছে ভুমন্ডলে, সূর্য, চন্দ্র, তারকারাজি পর্বতরাজি বৃক্ষলতা, জীবজন্তু এবং অনেক মানুষ। আবার অনেকের উপর অবধারিত হয়েছে শাস্তি। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা লাঞ্ছিত করেন, তাকে কেউ সম্মান দিতে পারে না। আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা তাই করেন
Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills.		 (হাজ্জ্ব:
আয়াতঃ ১৮)
30 যখন আমি ইব্রাহীমকে বায়তুল্লাহর স্থান ঠিক করে দিয়েছিলাম যে, আমার সাথে কাউকে শরীক করো না এবং আমার গৃহকে পবিত্র রাখ তাওয়াফকারীদের জন্যে, নামাযে দন্ডায়মানদের জন্যে এবং রকু সেজদাকারীদের জন্যে।
Behold! We gave the site, to Abraham, of the (Sacred) House, (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).		 (হাজ্জ্ব:
আয়াতঃ ২৬)
31 হে মুমিনগণ! তোমরা রুকু কর, সেজদা কর, তোমাদের পালনকর্তার এবাদত কর এবং সৎকাজ সম্পাদন কর, যাতে তোমরা সফলকাম হতে পার।
O ye who believe! bow down, prostrate yourselves, and adore your Lord; and do good; that ye may prosper.		 (হাজ্জ্ব:
আয়াতঃ ৭৭)
32 তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয়, দয়াময়কে সেজদা কর, তখন তারা বলে, দয়াময় আবার কে? তুমি কাউকে সেজদা করার আদেশ করলেই কি আমরা সেজদা করব? এতে তাদের পলায়নপরতাই বৃদ্ধি পায়।
When it is said to them, "Prostrate to (Allah) Most Gracious!", they say, "And what is (Allah) Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which thou commandest us?" And it increases their flight (from the Truth).		 (আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৬০)
33 এবং যারা রাত্রি যাপন করে পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশ্যে সেজদাবনত হয়ে ও দন্ডায়মান হয়ে;
Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing;		 (আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪)
34 তখন জাদুকররা সেজদায় নত হয়ে গেল।
Then did the sorcerers fall down, prostrate in adoration,		 (আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ৪৬)
35 আমি তাকে ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে দেখলাম তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে সূর্যকে সেজদা করছে। শয়তান তাদের দৃষ্টিতে তাদের কার্যাবলী সুশোভিত করে দিয়েছে। অতঃপর তাদেরকে সৎপথ থেকে নিবৃত্ত করেছে। অতএব তারা সৎপথ পায় না।
"I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,-		 (নমল:
আয়াতঃ ২৪)
36 তারা আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে না কেন, যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের গোপন বস্তু প্রকাশ করেন এবং জানেন যা তোমরা গোপন কর ও যা প্রকাশ কর।
"(Kept them away from the Path), that they should not worship Allah, Who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what ye hide and what ye reveal.		 (নমল:
আয়াতঃ ২৫)
37 কেবল তারাই আমার আয়াতসমূহের প্রতি ঈমান আনে, যারা আয়াতসমূহ দ্বারা উপদেশপ্রাপ্ত হয়ে সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে এবং অহংকারমুক্ত হয়ে তাদের পালনকর্তার সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করে।
Only those believe in Our Signs, who, when they are recited to them, fall down in prostration, and celebrate the praises of their Lord, nor are they (ever) puffed up with pride.		 (সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৫)
38 দাউদ বললঃ সে তোমার দুম্বাটিকে নিজের দুম্বাগুলোর সাথে সংযুক্ত করার দাবী করে তোমার প্রতি অবিচার করেছে। শরীকদের অনেকেই একে অপরের প্রতি জুলুম করে থাকে। তবে তারা করে না, যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদনকারী। অবশ্য এমন লোকের সংখ্যা অল্প। দাউদের খেয়াল হল যে, আমি তাকে পরীক্ষা করছি। অতঃপর সে তার পালনকর্তার কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করল, সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ল এবং তাঁর দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন করল।
(David) said: "He has undoubtedly wronged thee in demanding thy (single) ewe to be added to his (flock of) ewes: truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other: Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?"... and David gathered that We had tried him: he asked forgiveness of his Lord, fell down, bowing (in prostration), and turned (to Allah in repentance).		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ২৪)
39 যখন আমি তাকে সুষম করব এবং তাতে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দেব, তখন তোমরা তার সম্মুখে সেজদায় নত হয়ে যেয়ো।
"When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭২)
40 অতঃপর সমস্ত ফেরেশতাই একযোগে সেজদায় নত হল,
So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৩)
41 আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
(Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"		 (ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৫)
42 যে ব্যক্তি রাত্রিকালে সেজদার মাধ্যমে অথবা দাঁড়িয়ে এবাদত করে, পরকালের আশংকা রাখে এবং তার পালনকর্তার রহমত প্রত্যাশা করে, সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ করে না; বলুন, যারা জানে এবং যারা জানে না; তারা কি সমান হতে পারে? চিন্তা-ভাবনা কেবল তারাই করে, যারা বুদ্ধিমান।
Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.		 (আল-যুমার:

43 তাঁর নিদর্শনসমূহের মধ্যে রয়েছে দিবস, রজনী, সূর্য ও চন্দ্র। তোমরা সূর্যকে সেজদা করো না, চন্দ্রকেও না; আল্লাহকে সেজদা কর, যিনি এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যদি তোমরা নিষ্ঠার সাথে শুধুমাত্র তাঁরই এবাদত কর।
Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve.		 (হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৭)
44 মুহাম্মদ আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর সহচরগণ কাফেরদের প্রতি কঠোর, নিজেদের মধ্যে পরস্পর সহানুভূতিশীল। আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও সন্তুষ্টি কামনায় আপনি তাদেরকে রুকু ও সেজদারত দেখবেন। তাদের মুখমন্ডলে রয়েছে সেজদার চিহ্ন । তওরাতে তাদের অবস্থা এরূপ এবং ইঞ্জিলে তাদের অবস্থা যেমন একটি চারা গাছ যা থেকে নির্গত হয় কিশলয়, অতঃপর তা শক্ত ও মজবুত হয় এবং কান্ডের উপর দাঁড়ায় দৃঢ়ভাবে-চাষীকে আনন্দে অভিভুত করে-যাতে আল্লাহ তাদের দ্বারা কাফেরদের অন্তর্জালা সৃষ্টি করেন। তাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম করে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ক্ষমা ও মহাপুরস্কারের ওয়াদা দিয়েছেন।
Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.		 (আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৯)
45 অতএব আল্লাহকে সেজদা কর এবং তাঁর এবাদত কর।
But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)!		 (আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ৬২)
46 এবং তৃণলতা ও বৃক্ষাদি সেজদারত আছে।
And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration.		 (আর রহমান:
আয়াতঃ ৬)
47 গোছা পর্যন্ত পা খোলার দিনের কথা স্মরণ কর, সেদিন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হবে, অতঃপর তারা সক্ষম হবে না।
The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able,-		 (আল কলম:
আয়াতঃ ৪২)
48 তাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত থাকবে; তারা লাঞ্ছনাগ্রস্ত হবে, অথচ যখন তারা সুস্থ ও স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায় ছিল, তখন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হত।
Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).		 (আল কলম:
আয়াতঃ ৪৩)
49 যখন তাদের কাছে কোরআন পাঠ করা হয়, তখন সেজদা করে না।
And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,		 (আল ইনশিক্বাক্ব:
আয়াতঃ ২১)
50 কখনই নয়, আপনি তার আনুগত্য করবেন না। আপনি সেজদা করুন ও আমার নৈকট্য অর্জন করুন।
Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)!		 (আলাক:
আয়াতঃ ১৯)
