| 1 | আর সবার জন্যই রয়েছে কেবলা একেক দিকে, যে দিকে সে মুখ করে (এবাদত করবে)। কাজেই সৎকাজে প্রতিযোগিতামূলকভাবে এগিয়ে যাও। যেখানেই তোমরা থাকবে, আল্লাহ অবশ্যই তোমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ে ক্ষমতাশীল। To each is a goal to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, Allah will bring you Together. For Allah Hath power over all things. |

| 2 | আর স্মরণ কর আল্লাহকে নির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যক কয়েকটি দিনে। অতঃপর যে লোক তাড়াহুড়া করে চলে যাবে শুধু দু, দিনের মধ্যে, তার জন্যে কোন পাপ নেই। আর যে লোক থেকে যাবে তাঁর উপর কোন পাপ নেই, অবশ্য যারা ভয় করে। আর তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় করতে থাক এবং নিশ্চিত জেনে রাখ, তোমরা সবাই তার সামনে সমবেত হবে। Celebrate the praises of Allah during the Appointed Days. But if any one hastens to leave in two days, there is no blame on him, and if any one stays on, there is no blame on him, if his aim is to do right. Then fear Allah, and know that ye will surely be gathered unto Him. |

| 3 | কিন্তু তখন কি অবস্থা দাঁড়াবে যখন আমি তাদেরকে একদিন সমবেত করবো যে দিনের আগমনে কোন সন্দেহ নেই আর নিজেদের কৃতকর্ম তাদের প্রত্যেকেই পাবে তাদের প্রাপ্য প্রদান মোটেই অন্যায় করা হবে না। But how (will they fare) when we gather them together against a day about which there is no doubt, and each soul will be paid out just what it has earned, without (favour or) injustice? |

| 4 | আর তোমরা মৃত্যুই বরণ কর অথবা নিহতই হও, অবশ্য আল্লাহ তা’আলার সামনেই সমবেত হবে। And if ye die, or are slain, Lo! it is unto Allah that ye are brought together. |

| 5 | হে ঈমানদারগণ! নিজেদের অস্ত্র তুলে নাও এবং পৃথক পৃথক সৈন্যদলে কিংবা সমবেতভাবে বেরিয়ে পড়। O ye who believe! Take your precautions, and either go forth in parties or go forth all together. |

| 6 | আল্লাহ ব্যতীত আর কোনোই উপাস্য নেই। অবশ্যই তিনি তোমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন কেয়ামতের দিন, এতে বিন্দুমাত্র সন্দেহ নেই। তাছাড়া আল্লাহর চাইতে বেশী সত্য কথা আর কার হবে! Allah! There is no god but He: of a surety He will gather you together against the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. And whose word can be truer than Allah's? |

| 7 | আর কোরআনের মাধ্যমে তোমাদের প্রতি এই হুকুম জারি করে দিয়েছেন যে, যখন আল্লাহ তা’ আলার আয়াতসমূহের প্রতি অস্বীকৃতি জ্ঞাপন ও বিদ্রুপ হতে শুনবে, তখন তোমরা তাদের সাথে বসবে না, যতক্ষণ না তারা প্রসঙ্গান্তরে চলে যায়। তা না হলে তোমরাও তাদেরই মত হয়ে যাবে। আল্লাহ দোযখের মাঝে মুনাফেক ও কাফেরদেরকে একই জায়গায় সমবেত করবেন। Already has He sent you Word in the Book, that when ye hear the signs of Allah held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme: if ye did, ye would be like them. For Allah will collect the hypocrites and those who defy faith - all in Hell:- |

| 8 | মসীহ আল্লাহর বান্দা হবেন, তাতে তার কোন লজ্জাবোধ নেই এবং ঘনিষ্ঠ ফেরেশতাদেরও না। বস্তুতঃ যারা আল্লাহর দাসত্বে লজ্জাবোধ করবে এবং অহংকার করবে, তিনি তাদের সবাইকে নিজের কাছে সমবেত করবেন। Christ disdaineth nor to serve and worship Allah, nor do the angels, those nearest (to Allah): those who disdain His worship and are arrogant,-He will gather them all together unto Himself to (answer). |

| 9 | আর যদি তাদের বিমুখতা আপনার পক্ষে কষ্টকর হয়, তবে আপনি যদি ভূতলে কোন সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আকাশে কোন সিড়ি অনুসন্ধান করতে সমর্থ হন, অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন একটি মোজেযা আনতে পারেন, তবে নিয়ে আসুন। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে সবাইকে সরল পথে সমবেত করতে পারতেন। অতএব, আপনি নির্বোধদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)! |

| 10 | আর যত প্রকার প্রাণী পৃথিবীতে বিচরণশীল রয়েছে এবং যত প্রকার পাখী দু’ ডানাযোগে উড়ে বেড়ায় তারা সবাই তোমাদের মতই একেকটি শ্রেণী। আমি কোন কিছু লিখতে ছাড়িনি। অতঃপর সবাই স্বীয় প্রতিপালকের কাছে সমবেত হবে। There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end. |

| 11 | তারা বলল, আপনি তাকে ও তার ভাইকে অবকাশ দান করুন এবং শহরে বন্দরে লোক পাঠিয়ে দিন লোকদের সমবেত করার জন্য। They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect- |

| 12 | যাতে তারা পরাকাষ্ঠাসম্পন্ন বিজ্ঞ যাদুকরদের এনে সমবেত করে। And bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১১২) |
| 13 | হে ঈমানদারগণ, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের নির্দেশ মান্য কর, যখন তোমাদের সে কাজের প্রতি আহবান করা হয়, যাতে রয়েছে তোমাদের জীবন। জেনে রেখো, আল্লাহ মানুষের এবং তার অন্তরের মাঝে অন্তরায় হয়ে যান। বস্তুতঃ তোমরা সবাই তাঁরই নিকট সমবেত হবে। O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. |

| 14 | যাতে পৃথক করে দেন আল্লাহ অপবিত্র ও না-পাককে পবিত্র ও পাক থেকে। আর যাতে একটির পর একটিকে স্থাপন করে সমবেত স্তুপে পরিণত করেন এবং পরে দোযখে নিক্ষেপ করেন। এরাই হল ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত। In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost. |

| 15 | নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর বিধান ও গননায় মাস বারটি, আসমানসমূহ ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টির দিন থেকে। তন্মধ্যে চারটি সম্মানিত। এটিই সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত বিধান; সুতরাং এর মধ্যে তোমরা নিজেদের প্রতি অত্যাচার করো না। আর মুশরিকদের সাথে তোমরা যুদ্ধ কর সমবেতভাবে, যেমন তারাও তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করে যাচ্ছে সমবেতভাবে। আর মনে রেখো, আল্লাহ মুত্তাকীনদের সাথে রয়েছেন। The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)- so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein, and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. |

| 16 | আর যেদিন আমি তাদের সবাইকে সমবেত করব; আর যারা শেরক করত তাদেরকে বলবঃ তোমরা এবং তোমাদের শরীকরা নিজ নিজ জায়গায় দাঁড়িয়ে যাও-অতঃপর তাদেরকে পারস্পরিক বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেব, তখন তাদের শরীকরা বলবে, তোমরা তো আমাদের উপাসনা-বন্দেগী করনি। One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped! |

| 17 | আর যেদিন তাদেরকে সমবেত করা হবে, যেন তারা অবস্থান করেনি, তবে দিনের একদন্ড একজন অপরজনকে চিনবে। নিঃসন্দেহে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আল্লাহর সাথে সাক্ষাতকে এবং সরলপথে আসেনি। One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance. |

| 18 | আর তাদেরকে শুনিয়ে দাও নূহের অবস্থা যখন সে স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, যদি তোমাদের মাঝে আমার অবস্থিতি এবং আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহের মাধ্যমে নসীহত করা ভারী বলে মনে হয়ে থাকে, তবে আমি আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করছি। এখন তোমরা সবাই মিলে নিজেরদের কর্ম সাব্যস্ত কর এবং এতে তোমাদের শরীকদেরকে সমবেত করে নাও, যাতে তোমাদের মাঝে নিজেদের কাজের ব্যাপারে কোন সন্দেহ-সংশয় না থাকে। অতঃপর আমার সম্পর্কে যা কিছু করার করে ফেল এবং আমাকে অব্যাহতি দিও না। Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite. |

| 19 | আর তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার যদি চাইতেন, তবে পৃথিবীর বুকে যারা রয়েছে, তাদের সবাই ঈমান নিয়ে আসতে সমবেতভাবে। তুমি কি মানুষের উপর জবরদস্তী করবে ঈমান আনার জন্য? If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! |

| 20 | নিশ্চয় ইহার মধ্যে নিদর্শন রয়েছে এমন প্রতিটি মানুষের জন্য যে আখেরাতের আযাবকে ভয় করে। উহা এমন একদিন, যে দিন সব মানুষেই সমবেত হবে, সেদিনটি যে হাযিরের দিন। In that is a Sign for those who fear the penalty of the Hereafter: that is a Day for which mankind will be gathered together: that will be a Day of Testimony. |

| 21 | আল্লাহ যাকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন, সেই তো সঠিক পথ প্রাপ্ত এবং যাকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করেন, তাদের জন্যে আপনি আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোন সাহায্যকারী পাবেন না। আমি কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের সমবেত করব তাদের মুখে ভর দিয়ে চলা অবস্থায়, অন্ধ অবস্থায়, মুক অবস্থায় এবং বধির অবস্থায়। তাদের আবাসস্থল জাহান্নাম। যখনই নির্বাপিত হওয়ার উপক্রম হবে আমি তখন তাদের জন্যে অগ্নি আরও বৃদ্ধি করে দিব। It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true Guidance; but he whom He leaves astray - for such wilt thou find no protector besides Him. On the Day of Judgment We shall gather, them together, prone on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf: their abode will be Hell: every time it shows abatement, We shall increase from them the fierceness of the Fire. |

| 22 | সুতরাং আপনার পালনকর্তার কসম, আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে এবং শয়তানদেরকে একত্রে সমবেত করব, অতঃপর অবশ্যই তাদেরকে নতজানু অবস্থায় জাহান্নামের চারপাশে উপস্থিত করব। So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; |

| 23 | সেদিন দয়াময়ের কাছে পরহেযগারদেরকে অতিথিরূপে সমবেত করব, The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, |

| 24 | মূসা বললঃ তোমাদের ওয়াদার দিন উৎসবের দিন এবং পূর্বাহেߠলোকজন সমবেত হবে। Moses said: "Your tryst is the Day of the Festival, and let the people be assembled when the sun is well up." |

| 25 | যেদিন সিঙ্গায় ফূৎকার দেয়া হবে, সেদিন আমি অপরাধীদেরকে সমবেত করব নীল চক্ষু অবস্থায়। The Day when the Trumpet will be sounded: that Day, We shall gather the sinful, blear-eyed (with terror). |

| 26 | তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে রেখেছেন এবং তারই দিকে তোমাদেরকে সমবেত করা হবে। And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. |

| 27 | এবং জনগণের মধ্যে ঘোষণা করা হল, তোমরাও সমবেত হও। And the people were told: "Are ye (now) assembled?- |

| 28 | সুলায়মানের সামনে তার সেনাবাহিনীকে সমবেত করা হল। জ্বিন-মানুষ ও পক্ষীকুলকে, অতঃপর তাদেরকে বিভিন্ন ব্যূহে বিভক্ত করা হল। And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks. |

| 29 | বলুন, আমাদের পালনকর্তা আমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন, অতঃপর তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে সঠিকভাবে ফয়সালা করবেন। তিনি ফয়সালাকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ। Say: "Our Lord will gather us together and will in the end decide the matter between us (and you) in truth and justice: and He is the one to decide, the One Who knows all." |

| 30 | ওদের সবাইকে সমবেত অবস্থায় আমার দরবারে উপস্থিত হতেই হবে। But each one of them all - will be brought before Us (for judgment). |

| 31 | আর পক্ষীকুলকেও, যারা তার কাছে সমবেত হত। সবাই ছিল তাঁর প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল। And the birds gathered (in assemblies): all with him did turn (to Allah). |

| 32 | সুতরাং আপনি এর প্রতিই দাওয়াত দিন এবং হুকুম অনুযায়ী অবিচল থাকুন; আপনি তাদের খেয়ালখুশীর অনুসরণ করবেন না। বলুন, আল্লাহ যে কিতাব নাযিল করেছেন, আমি তাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায় বিচার করতে আদিষ্ট হয়েছি। আল্লাহ আমাদের পালনকর্তা ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। আমাদের জন্যে আমাদের কর্ম এবং তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের কর্ম। আমাদের মধ্যে ও তোমাদের মধ্যে বিবাদ নেই। আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন এবং তাঁরই দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তণ হবে। Now then, for that (reason), call (them to the Faith), and stand steadfast as thou art commanded, nor follow thou their vain desires; but say: "I believe in the Book which Allah has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord: for us (is the responsibility for) our deeds, and for you for your deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is (our) Final Goal. |

| 33 | যেদিন ভূমন্ডল বিদীর্ণ হয়ে মানুষ ছুটাছুটি করে বের হয়ে আসবে। এটা এমন সমবেত করা, যা আমার জন্যে অতি সহজ। The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us. |

| 34 | সেদিন অর্থাৎ, সমাবেশের দিন আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন। এ দিন হার-জিতের দিন। যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, আল্লাহ তার পাপসমূহ মোচন করবেন এবং তাকে জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন। যার তলদেশে নির্ঝরিনীসমূহ প্রবাহিত হবে, তারা তথায় চিরকাল বসবাস করবে। এটাই মহাসাফল্য। The Day that He assembles you (all) for a Day of Assembly,- that will be a Day of mutual loss and gain (among you), and those who believe in Allah and work righteousness,- He will remove from them their ills, and He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: that will be the Supreme Achievement. |

| 35 | বলুন, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে বিস্তৃত করেছেন এবং তাঁরই কাছে তোমরা সমবেত হবে। Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together." |

| 36 | সে সকলকে সমবেত করল এবং সজোরে আহবান করল, Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, |
