| 1 | অতঃপর আমি বললামঃ হে আদম, এ তোমার ও তোমার স্ত্রীর শত্রু, সুতরাং সে যেন বের করে না দেয় তোমাদের জান্নাত থেকে। তাহলে তোমরা কষ্টে পতিত হবে। Then We said: "O Adam! verily, this is an enemy to thee and thy wife: so let him not get you both out of the Garden, so that thou art landed in misery. |

| 2 | তিনি শহরে প্রবেশ করলেন, যখন তার অধিবাসীরা ছিল বেখবর। তথায় তিনি দুই ব্যক্তিকে লড়াইরত দেখলেন। এদের একজন ছিল তাঁর নিজ দলের এবং অন্য জন তাঁর শত্রু দলের। অতঃপর যে তাঁর নিজ দলের সে তাঁর শত্রু দলের লোকটির বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর কাছে সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করল। তখন মূসা তাকে ঘুষি মারলেন এবং এতেই তার মৃত্যু হয়ে গেল। মূসা বললেন, এটা শয়তানের কাজ। নিশ্চয় সে প্রকাশ্য শত্রু, বিভ্রান্তকারী। And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!" |

| 3 | আপনি যখন তাদেরকে দেখেন, তখন তাদের দেহাবয়ব আপনার কাছে প্রীতিকর মনে হয়। আর যদি তারা কথা বলে, তবে আপনি তাদের কথা শুনেন। তারা প্রাচীরে ঠেকানো কাঠসদৃশ্য। প্রত্যেক শোরগোলকে তারা নিজেদের বিরুদ্ধে মনে করে। তারাই শত্রু, অতএব তাদের সম্পর্কে সতর্ক হোন। ধ্বংস করুন আল্লাহ তাদেরকে। তারা কোথায় বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছে ? When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)! |
