| 1 | আর তোমার পালনকর্তা যখন ফেরেশতাদিগকে বললেনঃ আমি পৃথিবীতে একজন প্রতিনিধি বানাতে যাচ্ছি, তখন ফেরেশতাগণ বলল, তুমি কি পৃথিবীতে এমন কাউকে সৃষ্টি করবে যে দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামার সৃষ্টি করবে এবং রক্তপাত ঘটাবে? অথচ আমরা নিয়ত তোমার গুণকীর্তন করছি এবং তোমার পবিত্র সত্তাকে স্মরণ করছি। তিনি বললেন, নিঃসন্দেহে আমি জানি, যা তোমরা জান না। Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." |

| 2 | আর আল্লাহ তা’আলা শিখালেন আদমকে সমস্ত বস্তু-সামগ্রীর নাম। তারপর সে সমস্ত বস্তু-সামগ্রীকে ফেরেশতাদের সামনে উপস্থাপন করলেন। অতঃপর বললেন, আমাকে তোমরা এগুলোর নাম বলে দাও, যদি তোমরা সত্য হয়ে থাক। And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right." |

| 3 | তিনি বললেন, হে আদম, ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলে দাও এসবের নাম। তারপর যখন তিনি বলে দিলেন সে সবের নাম, তখন তিনি বললেন, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলিনি যে, আমি আসমান ও যমীনের যাবতীয় গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কে খুব ভাল করেই অবগত রয়েছি? এবং সেসব বিষয়ও জানি যা তোমরা প্রকাশ কর, আর যা তোমরা গোপন কর! He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" |

| 4 | আর যখন তোমরা বললে, হে মূসা, কস্মিনকালেও আমরা তোমাকে বিশ্বাস করব না, যতক্ষণ না আমরা আল্লাহকে (প্রকাশ্যে) দেখতে পাব। বস্তুতঃ তোমাদিগকে পাকড়াও করল বিদ্যুৎ। অথচ তোমরা তা প্রত্যক্ষ করছিলে। And remember ye said: "O Moses! We shall never believe in thee until we see Allah manifestly," but ye were dazed with thunder and lighting even as ye looked on. |

| 5 | আর তোমরা যখন বললে, হে মূসা, আমরা একই ধরনের খাদ্য-দ্রব্যে কখনও ধৈর্য্যধারণ করব না। কাজেই তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার নিকট আমাদের পক্ষে প্রার্থনা কর, তিনি যেন আমাদের জন্যে এমন বস্তুসামগ্রী দান করেন যা জমিতে উৎপন্ন হয়, তরকারী, কাকড়ী, গম, মসুরি, পেঁয়াজ প্রভৃতি। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তোমরা কি এমন বস্তু নিতে চাও যা নিকৃষ্ট সে বস্তুর পরিবর্তে যা উত্তম? তোমরা কোন নগরীতে উপনীত হও, তাহলেই পাবে যা তোমরা কামনা করছ। আর তাদের উপর আরোপ করা হল লাঞ্ছনা ও পরমুখাপেক্ষিতা। তারা আল্লাহর রোষানলে পতিত হয়ে ঘুরতে থাকল। এমন হলো এ জন্য যে, তারা আল্লাহর বিধি বিধান মানতো না এবং নবীগনকে অন্যায়ভাবে হত্যা করত। তার কারণ, তারা ছিল নাফরমান সীমালংঘকারী। And remember ye said: "O Moses! we cannot endure one kind of food (always); so beseech thy Lord for us to produce for us of what the earth groweth, -its pot-herbs, and cucumbers, Its garlic, lentils, and onions." He said: "Will ye exchange the better for the worse? Go ye down to any town, and ye shall find what ye want!" They were covered with humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause. This because they rebelled and went on transgressing. |

| 6 | যখন মূসা (আঃ) স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদের একটি গরু জবাই করতে বলেছেন। তারা বলল, তুমি কি আমাদের সাথে উপহাস করছ? মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, মূর্খদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হওয়া থেকে আমি আল্লাহর আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি। And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!" |

| 7 | তারা বলল, তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কর, যেন সেটির রূপ বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলছেন, সেটা হবে একটা গাভী, যা বৃদ্ধ নয় এবং কুমারীও নয়-বার্ধক্য ও যৌবনের মাঝামাঝি বয়সের। এখন আদিষ্ট কাজ করে ফেল। They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what (heifer) it is!" He said; "He says: The heifer should be neither too old nor too young, but of middling age. Now do what ye are commanded!" |

| 8 | তারা বলল, তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কর যে, তার রঙ কিরূপ হবে? মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলেছেন যে, গাঢ় পীতবর্ণের গাভী-যা দর্শকদের চমৎকৃত করবে। They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us Her colour." He said: "He says: A fawn-coloured heifer, pure and rich in tone, the admiration of beholders!" |

| 9 | তারা বলল, আপনি প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করুন-তিনি বলে দিন যে, সেটা কিরূপ? কেননা, গরু আমাদের কাছে সাদৃশ্যশীল মনে হয়। ইনশাআল্লাহ এবার আমরা অবশ্যই পথপ্রাপ্ত হব। মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, তিনি বলেন যে, এ গাভী ভূকর্ষণ ও জল সেচনের শ্রমে অভ্যস্ত নয়-হবে নিষ্কলঙ্ক, নিখুঁত। They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what she is: To us are all heifers alike: We wish indeed for guidance, if Allah wills." |

| 10 | যখন ইব্রাহীমকে তাঁর পালনকর্তা কয়েকটি বিষয়ে পরীক্ষা করলেন, অতঃপর তিনি তা পূর্ণ করে দিলেন, তখন পালনকর্তা বললেন, আমি তোমাকে মানবজাতির নেতা করব। তিনি বললেন, আমার বংশধর থেকেও! তিনি বললেন আমার অঙ্গীকার অত্যাচারীদের পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাবে না। And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers." |

| 11 | যখন ইব্রাহীম বললেন, পরওয়ারদেগার! এ স্থানকে তুমি শান্তিধান কর এবং এর অধিবাসীদের মধ্যে যারা অল্লাহ ও কিয়ামতে বিশ্বাস করে, তাদেরকে ফলের দ্বারা রিযিক দান কর। বললেনঃ যারা অবিশ্বাস করে, আমি তাদেরও কিছুদিন ফায়দা ভোগ করার সুযোগ দেব, অতঃপর তাদেরকে বলপ্রয়োগে দোযখের আযাবে ঠেলে দেবো; সেটা নিকৃষ্ট বাসস্থান। And remember Abraham said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its people with fruits,-such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "(Yea), and such as reject Faith,-for a while will I grant them their pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire,- an evil destination (indeed)!" |

| 12 | স্মরণ কর, যখন তাকে তার পালনকর্তা বললেনঃ অনুগত হও। সে বললঃ আমি বিশ্বপালকের অনুগত হলাম। Behold! his Lord said to him: "Bow (thy will to Me):" He said: "I bow (my will) to the Lord and Cherisher of the Universe." |
(আল বাকারা: আয়াতঃ ১৩১) |
| 13 | তোমরা কি উপস্থিত ছিলে, যখন ইয়াকুবের মৃত্যু নিকটবর্তী হয়? যখন সে সন্তানদের বললঃ আমার পর তোমরা কার এবাদত করবে? তারা বললো, আমরা তোমার পিতৃ-পুরুষ ইব্রাহীম, ইসমাঈল ও ইসহাকের উপাস্যের এবাদত করব। তিনি একক উপাস্য। Were ye witnesses when death appeared before Jacob? Behold, he said to his sons: "What will ye worship after me?" They said: "We shall worship Thy god and the god of thy fathers, of Abraham, Isma'il and Isaac,- the one (True) Allah: To Him we bow (in Islam)." |

| 14 | তুমি কি তাদেরকে দেখনি, যারা মৃত্যুর ভয়ে নিজেদের ঘর ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন? অথচ তারা ছিল হাজার হাজার। তারপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে বললেন মরে যাও। তারপর তাদেরকে জীবিত করে দিলেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ মানুষের উপর অনুগ্রহকারী। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোক শুকরিয়া প্রকাশ করে না। Didst thou not Turn by vision to those who abandoned their homes, though they were thousands (In number), for fear of death? Allah said to them: "Die": Then He restored them to life. For Allah is full of bounty to mankind, but Most of them are ungrateful. |

| 15 | মূসার পরে তুমি কি বনী ইসরাঈলের একটি দলকে দেখনি, যখন তারা বলেছে নিজেদের নবীর কাছে যে, আমাদের জন্য একজন বাদশাহ নির্ধারিত করে দিন যাতে আমরা আল্লাহর পথে যুদ্ধ করতে পারি। নবী বললেন, তোমাদের প্রতিও কি এমন ধারণা করা যায় যে, লড়াইর হুকুম যদি হয়, তাহলে তখন তোমরা লড়বে না? তারা বলল, আমাদের কি হয়েছে যে, আমরা আল্লাহর পথে লড়াই করব না। অথচ আমরা বিতাড়িত হয়েছি নিজেদের ঘর-বাড়ী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি থেকে। অতঃপর যখন লড়াইয়ের নির্দেশ হলো, তখন সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া তাদের সবাই ঘুরে দাঁড়ালো। আর আল্লাহ তা’আলা জালেমদের ভাল করেই জানেন। Hast thou not Turned thy vision to the Chiefs of the Children of Israel after (the time of) Moses? they said to a prophet (That was) among them: "Appoint for us a king, that we May fight in the cause of Allah." He said: "Is it not possible, if ye were commanded to fight, that that ye will not fight?" They said: "How could we refuse to fight in the cause of Allah, seeing that we were turned out of our homes and our families?" but when they were commanded to fight, they turned back, except a small band among them. But Allah Has full knowledge of those who do wrong. |

| 16 | আর তাদেরকে তাদের নবী বললেন, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তালূতকে তোমাদের জন্য বাদশাহ সাব্যস্ত করেছেন। তারা বলতে লাগল তা কেমন করে হয় যে, তার শাসন চলবে আমাদের উপর। অথচ রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতা পাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে তার চেয়ে আমাদেরই অধিকার বেশী। আর সে সম্পদের দিক দিয়েও সচ্ছল নয়। নবী বললেন, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদের উপর তাকে পছন্দ করেছেন এবং স্বাস্থ্য ও জ্ঞানের দিক দিয়ে প্রাচুর্য দান করেছেন। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ তাকেই রাজ্য দান করেন, যাকে ইচ্ছা। আর আল্লাহ হলেন অনুগ্রহ দানকারী এবং সব বিষয়ে অবগত। Their Prophet said to them: "Allah hath appointed Talut as king over you." They said: "How can he exercise authority over us when we are better fitted than he to exercise authority, and he is not even gifted, with wealth in abundance?" He said: "Allah hath Chosen him above you, and hath gifted him abundantly with knowledge and bodily prowess: Allah Granteth His authority to whom He pleaseth. Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things." |

| 17 | বনী-ইসরাঈলদেরকে তাদের নবী আরো বললেন, তালূতের নেতৃত্বের চিহ্ন হলো এই যে, তোমাদের কাছে একটা সিন্দুক আসবে তোমাদের পালকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের মনের সন্তুষ্টির নিমিত্তে। আর তাতে থাকবে মূসা, হারুন এবং তাঁদের সন্তানবর্গের পরিত্যক্ত কিছু সামগ্রী। সিন্দুকটিকে বয়ে আনবে ফেরেশতারা। তোমরা যদি ঈমানদার হয়ে থাক, তাহলে এতে তোমাদের জন্য নিশ্চিতই পরিপূর্ণ নিদর্শন রয়েছে। And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith." |

| 18 | তুমি কি সে লোককে দেখনি, যে পালনকর্তার ব্যাপারে বাদানুবাদ করেছিল ইব্রাহীমের সাথে এ কারণে যে, আল্লাহ সে ব্যাক্তিকে রাজ্য দান করেছিলেন? ইব্রাহীম যখন বললেন, আমার পালনকর্তা হলেন তিনি, যিনি জীবন দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান। সে বলল, আমি জীবন দান করি এবং মৃত্যু ঘটিয়ে থাকি। ইব্রাহীম বললেন, নিশ্চয়ই তিনি সুর্যকে উদিত করেন পূর্ব দিক থেকে এবার তুমি তাকে পশ্চিম দিক থেকে উদিত কর। তখন সে কাফের হতভম্ব হয়ে গেল। আর আল্লাহ সীমালংঘণকারী সম্প্রদায়কে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না। Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said: "My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said: "I give life and death". Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust. |

| 19 | তুমি কি সে লোককে দেখনি যে এমন এক জনপদ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিল যার বাড়ীঘরগুলো ভেঙ্গে ছাদের উপর পড়ে ছিল? বলল, কেমন করে আল্লাহ মরনের পর একে জীবিত করবেন? অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে মৃত অবস্থায় রাখলেন একশ বছর। তারপর তাকে উঠালেন। বললেন, কত কাল এভাবে ছিলে? বলল আমি ছিলাম, একদিন কংবা একদিনের কিছু কম সময়। বললেন, তা নয়; বরং তুমি তো একশ বছর ছিলে। এবার চেয়ে দেখ নিজের খাবার ও পানীয়ের দিকে-সেগুলো পচে যায় নি এবং দেখ নিজের গাধাটির দিকে। আর আমি তোমাকে মানুষের জন্য দৃষ্টান্ত বানাতে চেয়েছি। আর হাড়গুলোর দিকে চেয়ে দেখ যে, আমি এগুলোকে কেমন করে জুড়ে দেই এবং সেগুলোর উপর মাংসের আবরণ পরিয়ে দেই। অতঃপর যখন তার উপর এ অবস্থা প্রকাশিত হল, তখন বলে উঠল-আমি জানি, নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ে ক্ষমতাশীল। Or (take) the similitude of one who passed by a hamlet, all in ruins to its roofs. He said: "Oh! how shall Allah bring it (ever) to life, after (this) its death?" but Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: "How long didst thou tarry (thus)?" He said: (Perhaps) a day or part of a day." He said: "Nay, thou hast tarried thus a hundred years; but look at thy food and thy drink; they show no signs of age; and look at thy donkey: And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people, Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." When this was shown clearly to him, he said: "I know that Allah hath power over all things." |

| 20 | আর স্মরণ কর, যখন ইব্রাহীম বলল, হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে দেখাও, কেমন করে তুমি মৃতকে জীবিত করবে। বললেন; তুমি কি বিশ্বাস কর না? বলল, অবশ্যই বিশ্বাস করি, কিন্তু দেখতে এজন্যে চাইছি যাতে অন্তরে প্রশান্তি লাভ করতে পারি। বললেন, তাহলে চারটি পাখী ধরে নাও। পরে সেগুলোকে নিজের পোষ মানিয়ে নাও, অতঃপর সেগুলোর দেহের একেকটি অংশ বিভিন্ন পাহাড়ের উপর রেখে দাও। তারপর সেগুলোকে ডাক; তোমার নিকট দৌড়ে চলে আসবে। আর জেনে রাখো, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, অতি জ্ঞান সম্পন্ন। When Abraham said: "Show me, Lord, how You will raise the dead, " He replied: "Have you no faith?" He said "Yes, but just to reassure my heart." Allah said, "Take four birds, draw them to you, and cut their bodies to pieces. Scatter them over the mountain-tops, then call them back. They will come swiftly to you. Know that Allah is Mighty, Wise." |

| 21 | এমরানের স্ত্রী যখন বললো-হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আমার গর্ভে যা রয়েছে আমি তাকে তোমার নামে উৎসর্গ করলাম সবার কাছ থেকে মুক্ত রেখে। আমার পক্ষ থেকে তুমি তাকে কবুল করে নাও, নিশ্চয়ই তুমি শ্রবণকারী, সর্বজ্ঞাত। Behold! a woman of 'Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So accept this of me: For Thou hearest and knowest all things." |

| 22 | সেখানেই যাকারিয়া তাঁর পালনকর্তার নিকট প্রার্থনা করলেন। বললেন, হে, আমার পালনকর্তা! তোমার নিকট থেকে আমাকে পুত-পবিত্র সন্তান দান কর-নিশ্চয়ই তুমি প্রার্থনা শ্রবণকারী। There did Zakariya pray to his Lord, saying: "O my Lord! Grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure: for Thou art He that heareth prayer! |

| 23 | যখন তিনি কামরার ভেতরে নামাযে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন, তখন ফেরেশতারা তাঁকে ডেকে বললেন যে, আল্লাহ তোমাকে সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছেন ইয়াহইয়া সম্পর্কে, যিনি সাক্ষ্য দেবেন আল্লাহর নির্দেশের সত্যতা সম্পর্কে, যিনি নেতা হবেন এবং নারীদের সংস্পর্শে যাবেন না, তিনি অত্যন্ত সৎকর্মশীল নবী হবেন। While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous." |
(আল ইমরান: আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 24 | তিনি বললেন হে পালনকর্তা! কেমন করে আমার পুত্র সন্তান হবে, আমার যে বার্ধক্য এসে গেছে, আমার স্ত্রীও যে বন্ধ্যা। বললেন, আল্লাহ এমনি ভাবেই যা ইচ্ছা করে থাকেন। He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?" "Thus," was the answer, "Doth Allah accomplish what He willeth." |
(আল ইমরান: আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 25 | তিনি বললেন, হে পালনকর্তা আমার জন্য কিছু নিদর্শন দাও। তিনি বললেন, তোমার জন্য নিদর্শন হলো এই যে, তুমি তিন দিন পর্যন্ত কারও সাথে কথা বলবে না। তবে ইশারা ইঙ্গতে করতে পারবে এবং তোমার পালনকর্তাকে অধিক পরিমাণে স্মরণ করবে আর সকাল-সন্ধ্যা তাঁর পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষনা করবে। He said: "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning." |

| 26 | যখন ফেরেশতাগণ বললো, হে মারইয়াম আল্লাহ তোমাকে তাঁর এক বানীর সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছেন, যার নাম হলো মসীহ-মারইয়াম-তনয় ঈসা, দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে তিনি মহাসম্মানের অধিকারী এবং আল্লাহর ঘনিষ্ঠদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত। Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; |

| 27 | তিনি বললেন, পরওয়ারদেগার! কেমন করে আমার সন্তান হবে; আমাকে তো কোন মানুষ স্পর্শ করেনি। বললেন এ ভাবেই আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা সৃষ্টি করেন। যখন কোন কাজ করার জন্য ইচ্ছা করেন তখন বলেন যে, ‘হয়ে যাও’ অমনি তা হয়ে যায়। She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, 'Be,' and it is! |

| 28 | আর বণী ইসরাঈলদের জন্যে রসূল হিসেবে তাকে মনোনীত করবেন। তিনি বললেন নিশ্চয়ই আমি তোমাদের নিকট তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে এসেছি নিদর্শনসমূহ নিয়ে। আমি তোমাদের জন্য মাটির দ্বারা পাখীর আকৃতি তৈরী করে দেই। তারপর তাতে যখন ফুৎকার প্রদান করি, তখন তা উড়ন্ত পাখীতে পরিণত হয়ে যায় আল্লাহর হুকুমে। আর আমি সুস্থ করে তুলি জন্মান্ধকে এবং শ্বেত কুষ্ঠ রোগীকে। আর আমি জীবিত করে দেই মৃতকে আল্লাহর হুকুমে। আর আমি তোমাদেরকে বলে দেই যা তোমরা খেয়ে আস এবং যা তোমরা ঘরে রেখে আস। এতে প্রকৃষ্ট নিদর্শন রয়েছে, যদি তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হও। "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe; |

| 29 | অতঃপর ঈসা (আঃ) যখন বণী ইসরায়ীলের কুফরী সম্পর্কে উপলব্ধি করতে পারলেন, তখন বললেন, কারা আছে আল্লাহর পথে আমাকে সাহায্য করবে? সঙ্গী-সাথীরা বললো, আমরা রয়েছি আল্লাহর পথে সাহায্যকারী। আমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি। আর তুমি সাক্ষী থাক যে, আমরা হুকুম কবুল করে নিয়েছি। When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the disciples: "We are Allah's helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims. |

| 30 | আর আহলে-কিতাবগণের একদল বললো, মুসলমানগণের উপর যা কিছু অবর্তীণ হয়েছে তাকে দিনের প্রথম ভাগে মেনে নাও, আর দিনের শেষ ভাগে অস্বীকার ক র, হয়তো তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিতে পারে। A section of the People of the Book say: "Believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers, but reject it at the end of the day; perchance they may (themselves) Turn back; |

| 31 | আর আল্লাহ যখন নবীগনের কাছ থেকে অস্বীকার গ্রহন করলেন যে, আমি যা কিছু তোমাদের দান করেছি কিতাব ও জ্ঞান এবং অতঃপর তোমাদের নিকট কোন রসূল আসেন তোমাদের কিতাবকে সত্য বলে দেয়ার জন্য, তখন সে রসূলের প্রতি ঈমান আনবে এবং তার সাহায্য করবে। তিনি বললেন, ‘তোমার কি অঙ্গীকার করছো এবং এই শর্তে আমার ওয়াদা গ্রহণ করে নিয়েছ? তারা বললো, ‘আমরা অঙ্গীকার করেছি’। তিনি বললেন, তাহলে এবার সাক্ষী থাক। আর আমিও তোমাদের সাথে সাক্ষী রইলাম। Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." |

| 32 | যখন মূসা স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর নেয়ামত স্মরণ কর, যখন তিনি তোমাদের মধ্যে পয়গম্বর সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তোমাদেরকে রাজ্যাধিপতি করেছেন এবং তোমাদেরকে এমন জিনিস দিয়েছেন, যা বিশ্বজগতের কাউকে দেননি। Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. |

| 33 | বললেনঃ এ দেশ চল্লিশ বছর পর্যন্ত তাদের জন্যে হারাম করা হল। তারা ভুপৃষ্ঠে উদভ্রান্ত হয়ে ফিরবে। অতএব, আপনি অবাধ্য সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না। Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people. |
(আল মায়িদাহ: আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 34 | যখন হাওয়ারীরা বললঃ হে মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসা, আপনার পালনকর্তা কি এরূপ করতে পারেন যে, আমাদের জন্যে আকাশ থেকে খাদ্যভর্তি খাঞ্চা অবতরণ করে দেবেন? তিনি বললেনঃ যদি তোমরা ঈমানদার হও, তবে আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। Behold! the disciples, said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear Allah, if ye have faith." |

| 35 | ঈসা ইবনে মরিয়ম বললেনঃ হে আল্লাহ আমাদের পালনকর্তা আমাদের প্রতি আকাশ থেকে খাদ্যভর্তি খাঞ্চা অবতরণ করুন। তা আমাদের জন্যে অর্থাৎ, আমাদের প্রথম ও পরবর্তী সবার জন্যে আনন্দোৎসব হবে এবং আপনার পক্ষ থেকে একটি নিদর্শন হবে। আপনি আমাদের রুযী দিন। আপনিই শ্রেষ্ট রুযীদাতা। Said Jesus the son of Mary: "O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)." |

| 36 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ নিশ্চয় আমি সে খাঞ্চা তোমাদের প্রতি অবতরণ করব। অতঃপর যে ব্যাক্তি এর পরেও অকৃতজ্ঞ হবে, আমি তাকে এমন শাস্তি দেব, যে শাস্তি বিশ্বজগতের অপর কাউকে দেব না। Allah said: "I will send it down unto you: But if any of you after that resisteth faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples." |
(আল মায়িদাহ: আয়াতঃ ১১৫) |
| 37 | যখন আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে ঈসা ইবনে মরিয়ম! তুমি কি লোকদেরকে বলে দিয়েছিলে যে, আল্লাহকে ছেড়ে আমাকে ও আমার মাতাকে উপাস্য সাব্যস্ত কর? ঈসা বলবেন; আপনি পবিত্র! আমার জন্যে শোভা পায় না যে, আমি এমন কথা বলি, যা বলার কোন অধিকার আমার নেই। যদি আমি বলে থাকি, তবে আপনি অবশ্যই পরিজ্ঞাত; আপনি তো আমার মনের কথা ও জানেন এবং আমি জানি না যা আপনার মনে আছে। নিশ্চয় আপনিই অদৃশ্য বিষয়ে জ্ঞাত। And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. |

| 38 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ আজকের দিনে সত্যবাদীদের সত্যবাদিতা তাদের উপকারে আসবে। তাদের জন্যে উদ্যান রয়েছে, যার তলদেশে নির্ঝরিনী প্রবাহিত হবে; তারা তাতেই চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট। এটিই মহান সফলতা। Allah will say: "This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah: That is the great salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires). |

| 39 | স্মরণ কর, যখন ইব্রাহীম পিতা আযরকে বললেনঃ তুমি কি প্রতিমা সমূহকে উপাস্য মনে কর? আমি দেখতে পাচ্ছি যে, তুমি ও তোমার সম্প্রদায় প্রকাশ্য পথভ্রষ্ট। Lo! Abraham said to his father Azar: "Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy people in manifest error." |
(আল আনআম: আয়াতঃ ৭৪) |
| 40 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ আমি যখন নির্দেশ দিয়েছি, তখন তোকে কিসে সেজদা করতে বারণ করল? সে বললঃ আমি তার চাইতে শ্রেষ্ট। আপনি আমাকে আগুন দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটির দ্বারা। (Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 41 | বললেন তুই এখান থেকে যা। এখানে অহংকার করার কোন অধিকার তোর নাই। অতএব তুই বের হয়ে যা। তুই হীনতমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। (Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 42 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোকে সময় দেয়া হল। (Allah) said: "Be thou among those who have respite." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 43 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ বের হয়ে যা এখান থেকে লাঞ্ছিত ও অপমানিত হয়ে। তাদের যে কেউ তোর পথেচলবে, নিশ্চয় আমি তোদের সবার দ্বারা জাহান্নাম পূর্ণ করে দিব। (Allah) said: "Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow thee,- Hell will I fill with you all. |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 44 | অতঃপর প্রতারণাপূর্বক তাদেরকে সম্মত করে ফেলল। অনন্তর যখন তারা বৃক্ষ আস্বাদন করল, তখন তাদের লজ্জাস্থান তাদের সামনে খুলে গেল এবং তারা নিজের উপর বেহেশতের পাতা জড়াতে লাগল। তাদের প্রতিপালক তাদেরকে ডেকে বললেনঃ আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এ বৃক্ষ থেকে নিষেধ করিনি এবং বলিনি যে, শয়তান তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু। So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?" |

| 45 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোমরা নেমে যাও। তোমরা এক অপরের শত্রু। তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীতে বাসস্থান আছে এবং একটি নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত ফল ভোগ আছে। (Allah) said: "Get ye down. With enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood,- for a time." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 46 | বললেনঃ তোমরা সেখানেই জীবিত থাকবে, সেখানেই মৃত্যুবরন করবে এবং সেখান থেকেই পুনরুঙ্খিত হবে। He said: "Therein shall ye live, and therein shall ye die; but from it shall ye be taken out (at last)." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ২৫) |
| 47 | আর মূসা বললেন, হে ফেরাউন, আমি বিশ্ব-পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত রসূল। Moses said: "O Pharaoh! I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds,- |

| 48 | তিনি বললেন, তোমরাই নিক্ষেপ কর। যখন তারা নিক্ষেপ করল তখন লোকদের চোখগুলোকে বাধিয়ে দিল, ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত করে তুলল এবং মহাযাদু প্রদর্শন করল। Said Moses: "Throw ye (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them: for they showed a great (feat of) magic. |

| 49 | মূসা বললেন তার কওমকে, সাহায্য প্রার্থনা কর আল্লাহর নিকট এবং ধৈর্য্য ধারণ কর। নিশ্চয়ই এ পৃথিবী আল্লাহর। তিনি নিজের বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা এর উত্তরাধিকারী বানিয়ে দেন এবং শেষ কল্যাণ মুত্তাকীদের জন্যই নির্ধারিত রয়েছে। Said Moses to his people: "Pray for help from Allah, and (wait) in patience and constancy: for the earth is Allah's, to give as a heritage to such of His servants as He pleaseth; and the end is (best) for the righteous. |

| 50 | তারা বলল, আমাদের কষ্ট ছিল তোমার আসার পূর্বে এবং তোমার আসার পরে। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের পরওয়ারদেগার শীঘ্রই তোমাদের শক্রদের ধ্বংস করে দেবেন এবং তোমাদেরকে দেশে প্রতিনিধিত্ব দান করবেন। তারপর দেখবেন, তোমরা কেমন কাজ কর। They said: "We have had (nothing but) trouble, both before and after thou camest to us." He said: "It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you inheritors in the earth; that so He may try you by your deeds." |

| 51 | বস্তুতঃ আমি সাগর পার করে দিয়েছি বনী-ইসরাঈলদিগকে। তখন তারা এমন এক সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে গিয়ে পৌছাল, যারা স্বহস্তনির্মিত মূর্তিপুজায় নিয়োজিত ছিল। তারা বলতে লাগল, হে মূসা; আমাদের উপাসনার জন্যও তাদের মূর্তির মতই একটি মূর্তি নির্মাণ করে দিন। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের মধ্যে বড়ই অজ্ঞতা রয়েছে। We took the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea. They came upon a people devoted entirely to some idols they had. They said: "O Moses! fashion for us a god like unto the gods they have." He said: "Surely ye are a people without knowledge. |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১৩৮) |
| 52 | তিনি বললেন, তাহলে কি আল্লাহকে ছাড়া তোমাদের জন্য অন্য কোন উপাস্য অনুসন্ধান করব, অথচ তিনিই তোমাদিগকে সারা বিশ্বে শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দান করেছেন। He said: "Shall I seek for you a god other than the (true) Allah, when it is Allah Who hath endowed you with gifts above the nations?" |

| 53 | আর আমি মূসাকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি ত্রিশ রাত্রির এবং সেগুলোকে পূর্ন করেছি আরো দশ দ্বারা। বস্তুতঃ এভাবে চল্লিশ রাতের মেয়াদ পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছে। আর মূসা তাঁর ভাই হারুনকে বললেন, আমার সম্প্রদায়ে তুমি আমার প্রতিনিধি হিসাবে থাক। তাদের সংশোধন করতে থাক এবং হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টিকারীদের পথে চলো না। We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." |

| 54 | তারপর মূসা যখন আমার প্রতিশ্রুত সময় অনুযায়ী এসে হাযির হলেন এবং তাঁর সাথে তার পরওয়ারদেগার কথা বললেন, তখন তিনি বললেন, হে আমার প্রভু, তোমার দীদার আমাকে দাও, যেন আমি তোমাকে দেখতে পাই। তিনি বললেন, তুমি আমাকে কস্মিনকালেও দেখতে পাবে না, তবে তুমি পাহাড়ের দিকে দেখতে থাক, সেটি যদি স্বস্থানে দঁড়িয়ে থাকে তবে তুমিও আমাকে দেখতে পাবে। তারপর যখন তার পরওয়ারদগার পাহাড়ের উপর আপন জ্যোতির বিকিরণ ঘটালেন, সেটিকে বিধ্বস্ত করে দিলেন এবং মূসা অজ্ঞান হয়ে পড়ে গেলেন। অতঃপর যখন তাঁর জ্ঞান ফিরে এল; বললেন, হে প্রভু! তোমার সত্তা পবিত্র, তোমার দরবারে আমি তওবা করছি এবং আমিই সর্বপ্রথম বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করছি। When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe." |

| 55 | (পরওয়ারদেগার) বললেন, হে মূসা, আমি তোমাকে আমার বার্তা পাঠানোর এবং কথা বলার মাধ্যমে লোকদের উপর বিশিষ্টতা দান করেছি। সুতরাং যা কিছু আমি তোমাকে দান করলাম, গ্রহণ কর এবং কৃতজ্ঞ থাক। (Allah) said: "O Moses! I have chosen thee above (other) men, by the mission I (have given thee) and the words I (have spoken to thee): take then the (revelation) which I give thee, and be of those who give thanks." |

| 56 | তারপর যখন মূসা নিজ সম্প্রদায়ে ফিরে এলেন রাগাম্বিত ও অনুতপ্ত অবস্থায়, তখন বললেন, আমার অনুপস্থিতিতে তোমরা আমার কি নিকৃষ্ট প্রতিনিধিত্বটাই না করেছ। তোমরা নিজ পরওয়ারদেগারের হুকুম থেকে কি তাড়াহুড়া করে ফেললে এবং সে তখতীগুলো ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিলেন এবং নিজের ভাইয়ের মাথার চুল চেপে ধরে নিজের দিকে টানতে লাগলেন। ভাই বললেন, হে আমার মায়ের পুত্র, লোকগুলো যে আমাকে দুর্বল মনে করল এবং আমাকে যে মেরে ফেলার উপক্রম করেছিল। সুতরাং আমার উপর আর শত্রুদের হাসিও না। আর আমাকে জালিমদের সারিতে গন্য করো না। When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin." |

| 57 | মূসা বললেন, হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, ক্ষমা কর আমাকে আর আমার ভাইকে এবং আমাদেরকে তোমার রহমতের অন্তর্ভুক্ত কর। তুমি যে সর্বাধিক করুণাময়। Moses prayed: "O my Lord! forgive me and my brother! admit us to Thy mercy! for Thou art the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" |

| 58 | আর মূসা বেছে নিলেন নিজের সম্প্রদায় থেকে সত্তর জন লোক আমার প্রতিশ্রুত সময়ের জন্য। তারপর যখন তাদেরকে ভূমিকম্প পাকড়াও করল, তখন বললেন, হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, তুমি যদি ইচ্ছা করতে, তবে তাদেরকে আগেই ধ্বংস করে দিতে এবং আমাকেও। আমাদেরকে কি সে কর্মের কারণে ধ্বংস করছ, যা আমার সম্প্রদায়ের নির্বোধ লোকেরা করেছে? এসবই তোমার পরীক্ষা; তুমি যাকে ইচ্ছা এতে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করবে এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সরলপথে রাখবে। তুমি যে আমাদের রক্ষক-সুতরাং আমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করে দাও এবং আমাদের উপর করুনা কর। তাছাড়া তুমিই তো সর্বাধিক ক্ষমাকারী। And Moses chose seventy of his people for Our place of meeting: when they were seized with violent quaking, he prayed: "O my Lord! if it had been Thy will Thou couldst have destroyed, long before, both them and me: wouldst Thou destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? this is no more than Thy trial: by it Thou causest whom Thou wilt to stray, and Thou leadest whom Thou wilt into the right path. Thou art our Protector: so forgive us and give us Thy mercy; for Thou art the best of those who forgive. |

| 59 | আর পৃথিবীতে এবং আখেরাতে আমাদের জন্য কল্যাণ লিখে দাও। আমরা তোমার দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তন করছি। আল্লাহ তা’আলা বললেন, আমার আযাব তারই উপর পরিব্যাপ্ত। সুতরাং তা তাদের জন্য লিখে দেব যারা ভয় রাখে, যাকাত দান করে এবং যারা আমার আয়তসমুহের উপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে। "And ordain for us that which is good, in this life and in the Hereafter: for we have turned unto Thee." He said: "With My punishment I visit whom I will; but My mercy extendeth to all things. That (mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right, and practise regular charity, and those who believe in Our signs;- |

| 60 | যদি তোমরা তাকে (রসূলকে) সাহায্য না কর, তবে মনে রেখো, আল্লাহ তার সাহায্য করেছিলেন, যখন তাকে কাফেররা বহিষ্কার করেছিল, তিনি ছিলেন দু’জনের একজন, যখন তারা গুহার মধ্যে ছিলেন। তখন তিনি আপন সঙ্গীকে বললেন বিষন্ন হয়ো না, আল্লাহ আমাদের সাথে আছেন। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তার প্রতি স্বীয় সান্তনা নাযিল করলেন এবং তাঁর সাহায্যে এমন বাহিনী পাঠালেন, যা তোমরা দেখনি। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ কাফেরদের মাথা নীচু করে দিলেন আর আল্লাহর কথাই সদা সমুন্নত এবং আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়। If ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, "Have no fear, for Allah is with us": then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. |

| 61 | বললেন, তোমাদের দোয়া মঞ্জুর হয়েছে। অতএব তোমরা দুজন অটল থাকো এবং তাদের পথে চলো না যারা অজ্ঞ। Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not." |

| 62 | আর অবশ্যই আমি নূহ (আঃ) কে তাঁর জাতির প্রতি প্রেরণ করেছি, (তিনি বললেন) নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাদের জন্য প্রকাশ্য সতর্ককারী। We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning: |

| 63 | নূহ (আঃ) বললেন-হে আমার জাতি! দেখ তো আমি যদি আমার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ হতে স্পষ্ট দলীলের উপর থাক, আর তিনি যদি তাঁর পক্ষ হতে আমাকে রহমত দান করে থাকেন, তারপরেও তা তোমাদের চোখে না পড়ে, তাহলে আমি কি উহা তোমাদের উপর তোমাদের ইচ্ছার বিরুদ্ধেই চাপিয়ে দিতে পারি ? He said: "O my people! See ye if (it be that) I have a Clear Sign from my Lord, and that He hath sent Mercy unto me from His own presence, but that the Mercy hath been obscured from your sight? shall we compel you to accept it when ye are averse to it? |

| 64 | আর আমি তোমাদেরকে বলি না যে, আমার কাছে আল্লাহর ভান্ডার রয়েছে এবং একথাও বলি না যে, আমি গায়বী খবরও জানি; একথাও বলি না যে, আমি একজন ফেরেশতা; আর তোমাদের দৃষ্টিতে যারা লাঞ্ছিত আল্লাহ তাদের কোন কল্যাণ দান করবেন না। তাদের মনের কথা আল্লাহ ভাল করেই জানেন। সুতরাং এমন কথা বললে আমি অন্যায় কারী হব। "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor claim I to be an angel. Nor yet do I say, of those whom your eyes do despise that Allah will not grant them (all) that is good: Allah knoweth best what is in their souls: I should, if I did, indeed be a wrong-doer." |

| 65 | তিনি নৌকা তৈরী করতে লাগলেন, আর তাঁর কওমের নেতৃস্থানীয় ব্যক্তিরা যখন পার্শ্ব দিয়ে যেত, তখন তাঁকে বিদ্রুপ করত। তিনি বললেন, তোমরা যদি আমাদের উপহাস করে থাক, তবে তোমরা যেমন উপহাস করছ আমরাও তদ্রুপ তোমাদের উপহাস করছি। Forthwith he (starts) constructing the Ark: Every time that the chiefs of his people passed by him, they threw ridicule on him. He said: "If ye ridicule us now, we (in our turn) can look down on you with ridicule likewise! |

| 66 | আর তিনি বললেন, তোমরা এতে আরোহন কর। আল্লাহর নামেই এর গতি ও স্থিতি। আমার পালনকর্তা অতি ক্ষমাপরায়ন, মেহেরবান। So he said: "Embark ye on the Ark, In the name of Allah, whether it move or be at rest! For my Lord is, be sure, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!" |

| 67 | আর নৌকাখানি তাদের বহন করে চলল পর্বত প্রমাণ তরঙ্গমালার মাঝে, আর নূহ (আঃ) তাঁর পুত্রকে ডাক দিলেন আর সে সরে রয়েছিল, তিনি বললেন, প্রিয় বৎস! আমাদের সাথে আরোহন কর এবং কাফেরদের সাথে থেকো না। So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!" |

| 68 | আর নূহ (আঃ) তাঁর পালনকর্তাকে ডেকে বললেন-হে পরওয়ারদেগার, আমার পুত্র তো আমার পরিজনদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত; আর আপনার ওয়াদাও নিঃসন্দেহে সত্য আর আপনিই সর্বাপেক্ষা বিজ্ঞ ফয়সালাকারী। And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: "O my Lord! surely my son is of my family! and Thy promise is true, and Thou art the justest of Judges!" |

| 69 | বরং আমরাও তো বলি যে, আমাদের কোন দেবতা তোমার উপরে শোচনীয় ভূত চাপিয়ে দিয়েছে। হুদ বললেন-আমি আল্লাহকে সাক্ষী করেছি আর তোমাও সাক্ষী থাক যে, আমার কোন সম্পর্ক নাই তাঁদের সাথে যাদের কে তোমরা শরিক করছ; "We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with imbecility." He said: "I call Allah to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing, to Him, |

| 70 | আর সামুদ জাতি প্রতি তাদের ভাই সালেহ কে প্রেরণ করি; তিনি বললেন, হে আমার জাতি। আল্লাহর বন্দেগী কর, তিনি ছাড়া তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য নাই। তিনিই যমীন হতে তোমাদেরকে পয়দা করেছেন, তন্মধ্যে তোমাদেরকে বসতি দান করেছেন। অতএব; তাঁর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর অতঃপর তাঁরই দিকে ফিরে চল আমার পালনকর্তা নিকটেই আছেন, কবুল করে থাকেন; সন্দেহ নেই। To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer." |

| 71 | সালেহ বললেন-হে আমার জাতি! তোমরা কি মনে কর, আমি যদি আমার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ হতে বুদ্ধি বিবেচনা লাভ করে থাকি আর তিনি যদি আমাকে নিজের তরফ হতে রহমত দান করে থাকেন, অতঃপর আমি যদি তাঁর অবাধ্য হই তবে তার থেকে কে আমায় রক্ষা করবে? তোমরা তো আমার ক্ষতি ছাড়া কিছুই বৃদ্ধি করতে পরবে না He said: "O my people! do ye see? if I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord and He hath sent Mercy unto me from Himself,- who then can help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? What then would ye add to my (portion) but perdition? |

| 72 | তবু তারা উহার পা কেটে দিল। তখন সালেহ বললেন-তোমরা নিজেদের গৃহে তিনটি দিন উপভোগ করে নাও। ইহা এমন ওয়াদা যা মিথ্যা হবে না। But they did ham-string her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days: (Then will be your ruin): (Behold) there a promise not to be belied!" |

| 73 | আর অবশ্যই আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতারা ইব্রাহীমেরে কাছে সুসংবাদ নিয়ে এসেছিল তারা বলল সালাম, তিনিও বললেন-সালাম। অতঃপর অল্পক্ষণের মধ্যেই তিনি একটি ভুনা করা বাছুর নিয়ে এলেন! There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf. |

| 74 | আর তাঁর কওমের লোকেরা স্বতঃস্ফুর্তভাবে তার (গৃহ) পানে ছুটে আসতে লাগল। পূর্ব থেকেই তারা কু-কর্মে তৎপর ছিল। লূত (আঃ) বললেন-হে আমার কওম, এ আমার কন্যারা রয়েছে, এরা তোমাদের জন্য অধিক পবিত্রতমা। সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং অতিথিদের ব্যাপারে আমাকে লজ্জিত করো না, তোমাদের মধ্যে কি কোন ভাল মানুষ নেই। And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?" |

| 75 | লূত (আঃ) বললেন-হায়, তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যদি আমার শক্তি থাকত অথবা আমি কোন সূদৃঢ় আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করতে সক্ষম হতাম। He said: "Would that I had power to suppress you or that I could betake myself to some powerful support." |
(হুদ: আয়াতঃ ৮০) |
| 76 | আর মাদইয়ানবাসীদের প্রতি তাদের ভাই শোয়ায়েব (আঃ) কে প্রেরণ করেছি। তিনি বললেন-হে আমার কওম! আল্লাহর বন্দেগী কর, তিনি ছাড়া আমাদের কোন মাবুদ নাই। আর পরিমাপে ও ওজনে কম দিও না, আজ আমি তোমাদেরকে ভাল অবস্থায়ই দেখছি, কিন্তু আমি তোমাদের উপর এমন একদিনের আযাবের আশঙ্কা করছি যেদিনটি পরিবেষ্টনকারী। To the Madyan People (We sent) Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah: Ye have no other god but Him. And give not short measure or weight: I see you in prosperity, but I fear for you the penalty of a day that will compass (you) all round. |

| 77 | শোয়ায়েব (আঃ) বললেন-হে দেশবাসী, তোমরা কি মনে কর! আমি যদি আমার পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ হতে সুস্পষ্ট দলীলের উপর কায়েম থাকি আর তিনি যদি নিজের তরফ হতে আমাকে উত্তম রিযিক দান করে থাকেন, (তবে কি আমি তাঁর হুকুম অমান্য করতে পারি?) আর আমি চাই না যে তোমাদেরকে যা ছাড়াতে চাই পরে নিজেই সে কাজে লিপ্ত হব, আমি তো যথাসাধ্য শোধরাতে চাই। আল্লাহর মদদ দ্বারাই কিন্তু কাজ হয়ে থাকে, আমি তাঁর উপরই নির্ভর করি এবং তাঁরই প্রতি ফিরে যাই। He said: "O my people! see ye whether I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord, and He hath given me sustenance (pure and) good as from Himself? I wish not, in opposition to you, to do that which I forbid you to do. I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him I trust, and unto Him I look. |

| 78 | তিনি বললেনঃ বৎস, তোমার ভাইদের সামনে এ স্বপ্ন বর্ণনা করো না। তাহলে তারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্ত করবে। নিশ্চয় শয়তান মানুষের প্রকাশ্য। Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy! |

| 79 | তিনি বললেনঃ আমার দুশ্চিন্তা হয় যে, তোমরা তাকে নিয়ে যাবে এবং আমি আশঙ্কা করি যে, ব্যাঘ্র তাঁকে খেয়ে ফেলবে এবং তোমরা তার দিক থেকে গাফেল থাকবে। (Jacob) said: "Really it saddens me that ye should take him away: I fear lest the wolf should devour him while ye attend not to him." |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 80 | এবং তারা তার জামায় কৃত্রিম রক্ত লাগিয়ে আনল। বললেনঃ এটা কখনই নয়; বরং তোমাদের মন তোমাদেরকে একটা কথা সাজিয়ে দিয়েছে। সুতরাং এখন ছবর করাই শ্রেয়। তোমরা যা বর্ণনা করছ, সে বিষয়ে একমাত্র আল্লাহই আমার সাহায্য স্থল। They stained his shirt with false blood. He said: "Nay, but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you, (for me) patience is most fitting: Against that which ye assert, it is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought".. |

| 81 | ইউসুফ (আঃ) বললেন, সেই আমাকে আত্মসংবরণ না করতে ফুসলিয়েছে। মহিলার পরিবারে জনৈক সাক্ষী দিল যে, যদি তার জামা সামনের দিক থেকে ছিন্ন থাকে, তবে মহিলা সত্যবাদিনী এবং সে মিথ্যাবাদি। He said: "It was she that sought to seduce me - from my (true) self." And one of her household saw (this) and bore witness, (thus):- "If it be that his shirt is rent from the front, then is her tale true, and he is a liar! |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 82 | তিনি বললেনঃ তোমাদেরকে প্রত্যহ যে খাদ্য দেয়া হয়, তা তোমাদের কাছে আসার আগেই আমি তার ব্যাখ্যা বলে দেব। এ জ্ঞান আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে শিক্ষা দিয়েছেন। আমি ঐসব লোকের ধর্ম পরিত্যাগ করেছি যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে না এবং পরকালে অবিশ্বাসী। He said: "Before any food comes (in due course) to feed either of you, I will surely reveal to you the truth and meaning of this ere it befall you: that is part of the (duty) which my Lord hath taught me. I have (I assure you) abandoned the ways of a people that believe not in Allah and that (even) deny the Hereafter. |

| 83 | বাদশাহ মহিলাদেরকে বললেনঃ তোমাদের হাল-হাকিকত কি, যখন তোমরা ইউসুফকে আত্মসংবরণ থেকে ফুসলিয়েছিলে? তারা বললঃ আল্লাহ মহান, আমরা তার সম্পর্কে মন্দ কিছু জানি না। আযীয-পত্মি বললঃ এখন সত্য কথা প্রকাশ হয়ে গেছে। আমিই তাকে আত্মসংবরণ থেকে ফুসলিয়েছিলাম এবং সে সত্যবাদী। (The king) said (to the ladies): "What was your affair when ye did seek to seduce Joseph from his (true) self?" The ladies said: "Allah preserve us! no evil know we against him!" Said the 'Aziz's wife: "Now is the truth manifest (to all): it was I who sought to seduce him from his (true) self: He is indeed of those who are (ever) true (and virtuous). |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৫১) |
| 84 | ইউসুফ বললেনঃ এটা এজন্য, যাতে আযীয জেনে নেয় যে, আমি গোপনে তার সাথে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করিনি। আরও এই যে, আল্লাহ বিশ্বাসঘাতকদের প্রতারণাকে এগুতে দেন না। "This (say I), in order that He may know that I have never been false to him in his absence, and that Allah will never guide the snare of the false ones. |

| 85 | বললেন, আমি তার সম্পর্কে তোমাদেরকে কি সেরূপ বিশ্বাস করব, যেমন ইতিপূর্বে তার ভাই সম্পর্কে বিশ্বাস করেছিলাম? অতএব আল্লাহ উত্তম হেফাযতকারী এবং তিনিই সর্বাধিক দয়ালু। He said: "Shall I trust you with him with any result other than when I trusted you with his brother aforetime? But Allah is the best to take care (of him), and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" |

| 86 | বললেন, তাকে ততক্ষণ তোমাদের সাথে পাঠাব না, যতক্ষণ তোমরা আমাকে আল্লাহর নামে অঙ্গীকার না দাও যে, তাকে অবশ্যই আমার কাছে পৌঁছে দেবে; কিন্তু যদি তোমরা সবাই একান্তই অসহায় না হয়ে যাও। অতঃপর যখন সবাই তাঁকে অঙ্গীকার দিল, তখন তিনি বললেনঃ আমাদের মধ্যে যা কথাবার্তা হলো সে ব্যাপারে আল্লাহই মধ্যস্থ রইলেন। (Jacob) said: "Never will I send him with you until ye swear a solemn oath to me, in Allah's name, that ye will be sure to bring him back to me unless ye are yourselves hemmed in (and made powerless). And when they had sworn their solemn oath, he said: "Over all that we say, be Allah the witness and guardian!" |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৬৬) |
| 87 | ইয়াকুব বললেনঃ হে আমার বৎসগণ! সবাই একই প্রবেশদ্বার দিয়ে যেয়ো না, বরং পৃথক পৃথক দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ করো। আল্লাহর কোন বিধান থেকে আমি তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করতে পারি না। নির্দেশ আল্লাহরই চলে। তাঁরই উপর আমি ভরসা করি এবং তাঁরই উপর ভরসা করা উচিত ভরসাকারীদের। Further he said: "O my sons! enter not all by one gate: enter ye by different gates. Not that I can profit you aught against Allah (with my advice): None can command except Allah: On Him do I put my trust: and let all that trust put their trust on Him." |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৬৭) |
| 88 | তারা বলতে লাগলঃ যদি সে চুরি করে থাকে, তবে তার এক ভাইও ইতিপূর্বে চুরি করেছিল। তখন ইউসুফ প্রকৃত ব্যাপার নিজের মনে রাখলেন এবং তাদেরকে জানালেন না। মনে মনে বললেনঃ তোমরা লোক হিসাবে নিতান্ত মন্দ এবং আল্লাহ খুব জ্ঞাত রয়েছেন, যা তোমরা বর্ণনা করছ; They said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his who did steal before (him)." But these things did Joseph keep locked in his heart, revealing not the secrets to them. He (simply) said (to himself): "Ye are the worse situated; and Allah knoweth best the truth of what ye assert!" |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |
| 89 | তিনি বললেনঃ যার কাছে আমরা আমাদের মাল পেয়েছি, তাকে ছাড়া আর কাউকে গ্রেফতার করা থেকে আল্লাহ আমাদের রক্ষা করুন। তা হলে তো আমরা নিশ্চিতই অন্যায়কারী হয়ে যাব। He said: "Allah forbid that we take other than him with whom we found our property: indeed (if we did so), we should be acting wrongfully. |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৯) |
| 90 | তিনি বললেনঃ কিছুই না, তোমরা মনগড়া একটি কথা নিয়েই এসেছ। এখন ধৈর্য্যধারণই উত্তম। সম্ভবতঃ আল্লাহ তাদের সবাইকে একসঙ্গে আমার কাছে নিয়ে আসবেন তিনি সুবিজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়। Jacob said: "Nay, but ye have yourselves contrived a story (good enough) for you. So patience is most fitting (for me). Maybe Allah will bring them (back) all to me (in the end). For He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom." |

| 91 | এবং তাদের দিক থেকে তিনি মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলেন এবং বললেনঃ হায় আফসোস ইউসুফের জন্যে। এবং দুঃখে তাঁর চক্ষুদ্বয় সাদা হয়ে গেল। এবং অসহনীয় মনস্তাপে তিনি ছিলেন ক্লিষ্ট। And he turned away from them, and said: "How great is my grief for Joseph!" And his eyes became white with sorrow, and he fell into silent melancholy. |

| 92 | তিনি বললেনঃ আমি তো আমার দুঃখ ও অস্থিরতা আল্লাহর সমীপেই নিবেদন করছি এবং আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে আমি যা জানি, তা তোমরা জান না। He said: "I only complain of my distraction and anguish to Allah, and I know from Allah that which ye know not... |

| 93 | ইউসুফ বললেনঃ তোমাদের জানা আছে কি, যা তোমরা ইউসুফ ও তার ভাইয়ের সাথে করেছ, যখন তোমরা অপরিণামদর্শী ছিলে? He said: "Know ye how ye dealt with Joseph and his brother, not knowing (what ye were doing)?" |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৮৯) |
| 94 | তারা বলল, তবে কি তুমিই ইউসুফ! বললেনঃ আমিই ইউসুফ এবং এ হল আমার সহোদর ভাই। আল্লাহ আমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন। নিশ্চয় যে তাকওয়া অবলম্বন করে এবং সবর করে, আল্লাহ এহেন সৎকর্মশীলদের প্রতিদান বিনষ্ট করেন না। They said: "Art thou indeed Joseph?" He said, "I am Joseph, and this is my brother: Allah has indeed been gracious to us (all): behold, he that is righteous and patient,- never will Allah suffer the reward to be lost, of those who do right." |
(ইউসূফ: আয়াতঃ ৯০) |
| 95 | বললেন, আজ তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে কোন অভিযোগ নেই। আল্লাহ তোমাদের কে ক্ষমা করুন। তিনি সব মেহেরবানদের চাইতে অধিক মেহেরবান। He said: "This day let no reproach be (cast) on you: Allah will forgive you, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy! |

| 96 | যখন কাফেলা রওয়ানা হল, তখন তাদের পিতা বললেনঃ যদি তোমরা আমাকে অপ্রকৃতিস্থ না বল, তবে বলিঃ আমি নিশ্চিতরূপেই ইউসুফের গন্ধ পাচ্ছি। When the caravan left (Egypt), their father said: "I do indeed scent the presence of Joseph: Nay, think me not a dotard." |

| 97 | অতঃপর যখন সুসংবাদদাতা পৌঁছল, সে জামাটি তাঁর মুখে রাখল। অমনি তিনি দৃষ্টি শক্তি ফিরে পেলেন। বললেনঃ আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলিনি যে, আমি আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে যা জানি তোমরা তা জান না? Then when the bearer of the good news came, He cast (the shirt) over his face, and he forthwith regained clear sight. He said: "Did I not say to you, 'I know from Allah that which ye know not?'" |

| 98 | বললেন, সত্বরই আমি পালনকর্তার কাছে তোমাদের জন্য ক্ষমা চাইব। নিশ্চয় তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালূ। He said: "Soon will I ask my Lord for forgiveness for you: for he is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." |

| 99 | অতঃপর যখন তারা ইউসুফের কাছে পৌঁছল, তখন ইউসুফ পিতা-মাতাকে নিজের কাছে জায়গা দিলেন এবং বললেনঃ আল্লাহ চাহেন তো শান্তি চিত্তে মিসরে প্রবেশ করুন। Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a home for his parents with himself, and said: "Enter ye Egypt (all) in safety if it please Allah." |

| 100 | এবং তিনি পিতা-মাতাকে সিংহাসনের উপর বসালেন এবং তারা সবাই তাঁর সামনে সেজদাবনত হল। তিনি বললেনঃ পিতা এ হচ্ছে আমার ইতিপূর্বেকার স্বপ্নের বর্ণনা আমার পালনকর্তা একে সত্যে পরিণত করেছেন এবং তিনি আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন। আমাকে জেল থেকে বের করেছেন এবং আপনাদেরকে গ্রাম থেকে নিয়ে এসেছেন, শয়তান আমার ও আমার ভাইদের মধ্যে কলহ সৃষ্টি করে দেয়ার পর। আমার পালনকর্তা যা চান, কৌশলে সম্পন্ন করেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি বিজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়। And he raised his parents high on the throne (of dignity), and they fell down in prostration, (all) before him. He said: "O my father! this is the fulfilment of my vision of old! Allah hath made it come true! He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert, (even) after Satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Verily my Lord understandeth best the mysteries of all that He planneth to do, for verily He is full of knowledge and wisdom. |

| 101 | যখন মূসা স্বজাতিকে বললেনঃ তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ কর যখন তিনি তোমাদেরকে ফেরাউনের সম্প্রদায়ের কবল থেকে মুক্তি দেন। তারা তোমাদেরকে অত্যন্ত নিকৃষ্ট ধরনের শাস্তি দিত, তোমাদের ছেলেদেরকে হত্যা করত এবং তোমাদের মেয়েদেরকে জীবিত রাখত। এবং এতে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে বিরাট পরীক্ষা হয়েছিল। Remember! Moses said to his people: "Call to mind the favour of Allah to you when He delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: they set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons, and let your women-folk live: therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord." |

| 102 | এবং মূসা বললেনঃ তোমরা এবং পৃথিবীর সবাই যদি কুফরী কর, তথাপি আল্লাহ অমুখাপেক্ষী, যাবতীয় গুনের আধার। And Moses said: "If ye show ingratitude, ye and all on earth together, yet is Allah free of all wants, worthy of all praise. |
(ইব্রাহীম: আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 103 | যখন ইব্রাহীম বললেনঃ হে পালনকর্তা, এ শহরকে শান্তিময় করে দিন এবং আমাকে ও আমার সন্তান সন্ততিকে মূর্তি পূজা থেকে দূরে রাখুন। Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. |

| 104 | আর আপনার পালনকর্তা যখন ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললেনঃ আমি পচা কর্দম থেকে তৈরী বিশুষ্ক ঠনঠনে মাটি দ্বারা সৃষ্ট একটি মানব জাতির পত্তন করব। Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; |

| 105 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে ইবলিস, তোমার কি হলো যে তুমি সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হলে না? (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" |
(হিজর: আয়াতঃ ৩২) |
| 106 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তবে তুমি এখান থেকে বের হয়ে যাও। তুমি বিতাড়িত। (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. |
(হিজর: আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 107 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোমাকে অবকাশ দেয়া হল। (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee |
(হিজর: আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |
| 108 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ এটা আমা পর্যন্ত সোজা পথ। (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. |

| 109 | যখন তারা তাঁর গৃহে আগমন করল এবং বললঃ সালাম। তিনি বললেনঃ আমরা তোমাদের ব্যাপারে ভীত। When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" |

| 110 | তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা কি আমাকে এমতাবস্থায় সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছ, যখন আমি বার্ধক্যে পৌছে গেছি ? He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?" |

| 111 | তিনি বললেনঃ পালনকর্তার রহমত থেকে পথভ্রষ্টরা ছাড়া কে নিরাশ হয় ? He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" |

| 112 | তিনি বললেনঃ অতঃপর তোমাদের প্রধান উদ্দেশ্য কি হে আল্লাহর প্রেরিতগণ ? Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?" |

| 113 | তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা তো অপরিচিত লোক। He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." |

| 114 | লূত বললেনঃ তারা আমার মেহমান। অতএব আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করো না। Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: |

| 115 | তিনি বললেনঃ যদি তোমরা একান্ত কিছু করতেই চাও, তবে আমার কন্যারা উপস্থিত আছে। He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." |
(হিজর: আয়াতঃ ৭১) |
| 116 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোমরা দুই উপাস্য গ্রহণ করো না উপাস্য তো মাত্র একজনই। অতএব আমাকেই ভয় কর। Allah has said: "Take not (for worship) two gods: for He is just One Allah: then fear Me (and Me alone)." |

| 117 | তিনি বললেনঃ তুমি জান যে, আসমান ও যমীনের পালনকর্তাই এসব নিদর্শনাবলী প্রত্যক্ষ প্রমাণস্বরূপ নাযিল করেছেন। হে ফেরাউন, আমার ধারণায় তুমি ধ্বংস হতে চলেছো। Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these things have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-opening evidence: and I consider thee indeed, O Pharaoh, to be one doomed to destruction!" |

| 118 | যদি তুমি আমাকে ধনে ও সন্তানে তোমার চাইতে কম দেখ, তবে যখন তুমি তোমার বাগানে প্রবেশ করলে, তখন একথা কেন বললে না; আল্লাহ যা চান, তাই হয়। আল্লাহর দেয়া ব্যতীত কোন শক্তি নেই। "Why didst thou not, as thou wentest into thy garden, say: 'Allah's will (be done)! There is no power but with Allah!' If thou dost see me less than thee in wealth and sons, |

| 119 | যখন মূসা তাঁর যুবক (সঙ্গী) কে বললেনঃ দুই সমুদ্রের সঙ্গমস্থলে না পৌছা পর্যন্ত আমি আসব না অথবা আমি যুগ যুগ ধরে চলতে থাকব। Behold, Moses said to his attendant, "I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel." |

| 120 | যখন তাঁরা সে স্থানটি অতিক্রম করে গেলেন, মূসা সঙ্গী কে বললেনঃ আমাদের নাশতা আন। আমরা এই সফরে পরিশ্রান্ত হয়ে পড়েছি। When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey." |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৬২) |
| 121 | মূসা বললেনঃ আমরা তো এ স্থানটিই খুঁজছিলাম। অতঃপর তাঁরা নিজেদের চিহ্ন ধরে ফিরে চললেন। Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come). |

| 122 | মূসা তাঁকে বললেনঃ আমি কি এ শর্তে আপনার অনুসরণ করতে পারি যে, সত্যপথের যে জ্ঞান আপনাকে শেখানো হয়েছে, তা থেকে আমাকে কিছু শিক্ষা দেবেন? Moses said to him: "May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?" |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৬৬) |
| 123 | তিনি বললেনঃ আপনি আমার সাথে কিছুতেই ধৈর্য্যধারণ করে থাকতে পারবেন না। (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৬৭) |
| 124 | মূসা বললেনঃ আল্লাহ চাহেন তো আপনি আমাকে ধৈর্য্যশীল পাবেন এবং আমি আপনার কোন আদেশ অমান্য করব না। Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |
| 125 | তিনি বললেনঃ যদি আপনি আমার অনুসরণ করেনই তবে কোন বিষয়ে আমাকে প্রশ্ন করবেন না, যে পর্যন্ত না আমি নিজেই সে সম্পর্কে আপনাকে কিছু বলি। The other said: "If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it." |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭০) |
| 126 | অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগলঃ অবশেষে যখন তারা নৌকায় আরোহণ করল, তখন তিনি তাতে ছিদ্র করে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি কি এর আরোহীদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দেয়ার জন্যে এতে ছিদ্র করে দিলেন? নিশ্চয়ই আপনি একটি গুরুতর মন্দ কাজ করলেন। So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!" |

| 127 | তিনি বললেনঃ আমি কি বলিনি যে, আপনি আমার সাথে কিছুতেই ধৈর্য্য ধরতে পারবেন না ? He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?" |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭২) |
| 128 | মূসা বললেনঃ আমাকে আমার ভুলের জন্যে অপরাধী করবেন না এবং আমার কাজে আমার উপর কঠোরতা আরোপ করবেন না। Moses said: "Rebuke me not for forgetting, nor grieve me by raising difficulties in my case." |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৩) |
| 129 | অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল। অবশেষে যখন একটি বালকের সাক্ষাত পেলেন, তখন তিনি তাকে হত্যা করলেন। মূসা বললেন? আপনি কি একটি নিস্পাপ জীবন শেষ করে দিলেন প্রাণের বিনিময় ছাড়াই? নিশ্চয়ই আপনি তো এক গুরুতর অন্যায় কাজ করলেন। Then they proceeded: until, when they met a young man, he slew him. Moses said: "Hast thou slain an innocent person who had slain none? Truly a foul (unheard of) thing hast thou done!" |

| 130 | তিনি বললেনঃ আমি কি বলিনি যে, আপনি আমার সাথে ধৈর্য্য ধরে থাকতে পারবেন না। He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?" |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৫) |
| 131 | মূসা বললেনঃ এরপর যদি আমি আপনাকে কোন বিষয়ে প্রশ্ন করি, তবে আপনি আমাকে সাথে রাখবেন না। আপনি আমার পক্ষ থেকে অভিযোগ মুক্ত হয়ে গেছেন। (Moses) said: "If ever I ask thee about anything after this, keep me not in thy company: then wouldst thou have received (full) excuse from my side." |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৬) |
| 132 | অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল, অবশেষে যখন একটি জনপদের অধিবাসীদের কাছে পৌছে তাদের কাছে খাবার চাইল, তখন তারা তাদের অতিথেয়তা করতে অস্বীকার করল। অতঃপর তারা সেখানে একটি পতনোম্মুখ প্রাচীর দেখতে পেলেন, সেটি তিনি সোজা করে দাঁড় করিয়ে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের কাছ থেকে এর পারিশ্রমিক আদায় করতে পারতেন। Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: "If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!" |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |
| 133 | তিনি বললেনঃ এখানেই আমার ও আপনার মধ্যে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ হল। এখন যে বিষয়ে আপনি ধৈর্য্য ধরতে পারেননি, আমি তার তাৎপর্য বলে দিচ্ছি। He answered: "This is the parting between me and thee: now will I tell thee the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience. |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 134 | তিনি বললেনঃ যে কেউ সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী হবে আমি তাকে শাস্তি দেব। অতঃপর তিনি তাঁর পালনকর্তার কাছে ফিরে যাবেন। তিনি তাকে কঠোর শাস্তি দেবেন। He said: "Whoever doth wrong, him shall we punish; then shall he be sent back to his Lord; and He will punish him with a punishment unheard-of (before). |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৮৭) |
| 135 | তারা বললঃ হে যুলকারনাইন, ইয়াজুজ ও মাজুজ দেশে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করেছে। আপনি বললে আমরা আপনার জন্যে কিছু কর ধার্য করব এই শর্তে যে, আপনি আমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেবেন। They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (People) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them? |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৯৪) |
| 136 | তিনি বললেনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে যে সামর্থ?2470;িয়েছেন, তাই যথেষ্ট। অতএব, তোমরা আমাকে শ্রম দিয়ে সাহায্য কর। আমি তোমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি সুদৃঢ় প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেব। He said: "(The power) in which my Lord has established me is better (than tribute): Help me therefore with strength (and labour): I will erect a strong barrier between you and them: |

| 137 | তোমরা আমাকে লোহার পাত এনে দাও। অবশেষে যখন পাহাড়ের মধ্যবর্তী ফাঁকা স্থান পূর্ণ হয়ে গেল, তখন তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা হাঁপরে দম দিতে থাক। অবশেষে যখন তা আগুনে পরিণত হল, তখন তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা গলিত তামা নিয়ে এস, আমি তা এর উপরে ঢেলে দেই। "Bring me blocks of iron." At length, when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain-sides, He said, "Blow (with your bellows)" Then, when he had made it (red) as fire, he said: "Bring me, that I may pour over it, molten lead." |

| 138 | যুলকারনাইন বললেনঃ এটা আমার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ। যখন আমার পালনকর্তার প্রতিশ্রুত সময় আসবে, তখন তিনি একে চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দেবেন এবং আমার পালনকর্তার প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য। He said: "This is a mercy from my Lord: But when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, He will make it into dust; and the promise of my Lord is true." |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৯৮) |
| 139 | তিনি বললেনঃ এমনিতেই হবে। তোমার পালনকর্তা বলে দিয়েছেনঃ এটা আমার পক্ষে সহজ। আমি তো পুর্বে তোমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি এবং তুমি কিছুই ছিলে না। He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'" |

| 140 | সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে একটি নির্দশন দিন। তিনি বললেন তোমার নিদর্শন এই যে, তুমি সুস্থ অবস্থায় তিন দিন মানুষের সাথে কথাবার্তা বলবে না। (Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb." |
(মারইয়াম: আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 141 | প্রসব বেদনা তাঁকে এক খেজুর বৃক্ষ-মূলে আশ্রয় নিতে বাধ্য করল। তিনি বললেনঃ হায়, আমি যদি কোনরূপে এর পূর্বে মরে যেতাম এবং মানুষের স্মৃতি থেকে বিলুপ্ত হয়ে, যেতাম! And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!" |

| 142 | তিনি আরও বললেনঃ নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ আমার পালনকর্তা ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তোমরা তার এবাদত কর। এটা সরল পথ। Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight. |
(মারইয়াম: আয়াতঃ ৩৬) |
| 143 | যখন তিনি তার পিতাকে বললেনঃ হে আমার পিতা, যে শোনে না, দেখে না এবং তোমার কোন উপকারে আসে না, তার এবাদত কেন কর? Behold, he said to his father: "O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not, and can profit thee nothing? |

| 144 | ইব্রাহীম বললেনঃ তোমার উপর শান্তি হোক, আমি আমার পালনকর্তার কাছে তোমার জন্যে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করব। নিশ্চয় তিনি আমার প্রতি মেহেরবান। Abraham said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious. |

| 145 | তিনি যখন আগুন দেখলেন, তখন পরিবারবর্গকে বললেনঃ তোমরা এখানে অবস্থান কর আমি আগুন দেখেছি। সম্ভবতঃ আমি তা থেকে তোমাদের কাছে কিছু আগুন জালিয়ে আনতে পারব অথবা আগুনে পৌছে পথের সন্ধান পাব। Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 146 | তিনি বললেনঃ এটা আমার লাঠি, আমি এর উপর ভর দেই এবং এর দ্বারা আমার ছাগপালের জন্যে বৃক্ষপত্র ঝেড়ে ফেলি এবং এতে আমার অন্যান্য কাজ ও চলে। He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." |

| 147 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে মূসা, তুমি ওটা নিক্ষেপ কর। (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" |

| 148 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তুমি তাকে ধর এবং ভয় করো না, আমি এখনি একে পূর্বাবস্থায় ফিরিয়ে দেব। (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. |

| 149 | মূসা বললেনঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমার বক্ষ প্রশস্ত করে দিন। (Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; |

| 150 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে মূসা, তুমি যা চেয়েছ তা তোমাকে দেয়া হল। (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" |

| 151 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোমরা ভয় করো না, আমি তোমাদের সাথে আছি, আমি শুনি ও দেখি। He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). |

| 152 | মূসা বললেনঃ আমাদের পালনকর্তা তিনি, যিনি প্রত্যেক বস্তুকে তার যোগ্য আকৃতি দান করেছেন, অতঃপর পথপ্রদর্শন করেছেন। He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." |

| 153 | মূসা বললেনঃ তাদের খবর আমার পালনকর্তার কাছে লিখিত আছে। আমার পালনকর্তা ভ্রান্ত হন না এং বিস্মৃতও হন না। He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- |

| 154 | মূসা (আঃ) তাদেরকে বললেনঃ দুর্ভাগ্য তোমাদের; তোমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করো না। তাহলে তিনি তোমাদেরকে আযাব দ্বারা ধবংস করে দেবেন। যে মিথ্যা উদভাবন করে, সেই বিফল মনোরথ হয়েছে। Moses said to him: Woe to you! Forge not ye a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you (at once) utterly by chastisement: the forger must suffer frustration!" |

| 155 | মূসা বললেনঃ বরং তোমরাই নিক্ষেপ কর। তাদের যাদুর প্রভাবে হঠাৎ তাঁর মনে হল, যেন তাদের রশিগুলো ও লাঠিগুলো চুটাছুটি করছে। He said, "Nay, throw ye first!" Then behold their ropes and their rods-so it seemed to him on account of their magic - began to be in lively motion! |

| 156 | তিনি বললেনঃ এই তো তারা আমার পেছনে আসছে এবং হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি তাড়াতাড়ি তোমার কাছে এলাম, যাতে তুমি সন্তুষ্ট হও। He replied: "Behold, they are close on my footsteps: I hastened to thee, O my Lord, to please thee." |

| 157 | বললেনঃ আমি তোমার সম্প্রদায়কে পরীক্ষা করেছি তোমার পর এবং সামেরী তাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছে। (Allah) said: "We have tested thy people in thy absence: the Samiri has led them astray." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ৮৫) |
| 158 | অতঃপর মূসা তাঁর সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে ফিরে গেলেন ক্রদ্ধ ও অনুতপ্ত অবস্থায়। তিনি বললেনঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমাদের পালনকর্তা কি তোমাদেরকে একটি উত্তম প্রতিশ্রুতি দেননি? তবে কি প্রতিশ্রুতির সময়কাল তোমাদের কাছে দীর্ঘ হয়েছে, না তোমরা চেয়েছ যে, তোমাদের উপর তোমাদের পালনকর্তার ক্রোধ নেমে আসুক, যে কারণে তোমরা আমার সাথে কৃত ওয়াদা ভঙ্গ করলে? So Moses returned to his people in a state of indignation and sorrow. He said: "O my people! did not your Lord make a handsome promise to you? Did then the promise seem to you long (in coming)? Or did ye desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you, and so ye broke your promise to me?" |

| 159 | মূসা বললেনঃ হে হারুন, তুমি যখন তাদেরকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট হতে দেখলে, তখন তোমাকে কিসে নিবৃত্ত করল ? (Moses) said: "O Aaron! what kept thee back, when thou sawest them going wrong, |

| 160 | তিনি বললেনঃ হে আমার জননী-তনয়, আমার শ্মশ্রু ও মাথার চুল ধরে আকর্ষণ করো না; আমি আশঙ্কা করলাম যে, তুমি বলবেঃ তুমি বনী-ইসরাঈলের মধ্যে বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করেছ এবং আমার কথা স্মরণে রাখনি। (Aaron) replied: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard nor by (the hair of) my head! Truly I feared lest thou shouldst say, 'Thou has caused a division among the children of Israel, and thou didst not respect my word!'" |

| 161 | মূসা বললেন হে সামেরী, এখন তোমার ব্যাপার কি? (Moses) said: "What then is thy case, O Samiri?" |

| 162 | মূসা বললেনঃ দূর হ, তোর জন্য সারা জীবন এ শাস্তিই রইল যে, তুই বলবি; আমাকে স্পর্শ করো না, এবং তোর জন্য একটি নির্দিষ্ট ওয়াদা আছে, যার ব্যতিক্রম হবে না। তুই তোর সেই ইলাহের প্রতি লক্ষ্য কর, যাকে তুই ঘিরে থাকতি। আমরা সেটি জালিয়ে দেবই। অতঃপর একে বিক্ষিপ্ত করে সাগরে ছড়িয়ে দেবই। (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, 'touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!" |

| 163 | তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা উভয়েই এখান থেকে এক সঙ্গে নেমে যাও। তোমরা একে অপরের শত্রু। এরপর যদি আমার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের কাছে হেদায়েত আসে, তখন যে আমার বর্ণিত পথ অনুসরণ করবে, সে পথভ্রষ্ঠ হবে না এবং কষ্টে পতিত হবে না। He said: "Get ye down, both of you,- all together, from the Garden, with enmity one to another: but if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from Me, whosoever follows My Guidance, will not lose his way, nor fall into misery. |

| 164 | পয়গম্বর বললেনঃ নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের কথাই আমার পালনকর্তা জানেন। তিনি সবকিছু শোনেন, সবকিছু জানেন। Say: "My Lord knoweth (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth: He is the One that heareth and knoweth (all things)." |

| 165 | যখন তিনি তাঁর পিতা ও তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ এই মূর্তিগুলো কী, যাদের তোমরা পূজারী হয়ে বসে আছ। Behold! he said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?" |

| 166 | তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা প্রকাশ্য গোমরাহীতে আছ এবং তোমাদের বাপ-দাদারাও। He said, "Indeed ye have been in manifest error - ye and your fathers." |

| 167 | তিনি বললেনঃ না, তিনিই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা, যিনি এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন; এবং আমি এই বিষয়েরই সাক্ষ্যদাতা। He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth). |

| 168 | তিনি বললেনঃ না এদের এই প্রধানই তো একাজ করেছে। অতএব তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর, যদি তারা কথা বলতে পারে। He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!" |

| 169 | তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা কি আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুর এবাদত কর, যা তোমাদের কোন উপকার ও করতে পারে না এবং ক্ষতিও করতে পারে না ? (Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? |

| 170 | পয়গাম্বর বললেনঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আপনি ন্যায়ানুগ ফয়সালা করে দিন। আমাদের পালনকর্তা তো দয়াময়, তোমরা যা বলছ, সে বিষয়ে আমরা তাঁর কাছেই সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করি। Say: "O my Lord! judge Thou in truth!" "Our Lord Most Gracious is the One Whose assistance should be sought against the blasphemies ye utter!" |

| 171 | তিনি বললেনঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে সাহায্য কর, কারণ তারা আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলছে। (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." |

| 172 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ কিছু দিনের মধ্যে তারা সকাল বেলা অনুতপ্ত হবে। (Allah) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!" |

| 173 | তোমরা যখন এ কথা শুনলে তখন কেন বললে না যে, এ বিষয়ে কথা বলা আমাদের উচিত নয়। আল্লাহ তো পবিত্র, মহান। এটা তো এক গুরুতর অপবাদ। And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!" |

| 174 | রসূল বললেনঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার সম্প্রদায় এই কোরআনকে প্রলাপ সাব্যস্ত করেছে। Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." |

| 175 | যখন আপনার পালনকর্তা মূসাকে ডেকে বললেনঃ তুমি পাপিষ্ঠ সম্প্রদায়ের নিকট যাও; Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- |

| 176 | মূসা (আঃ) তাদেরকে বললেন, নিক্ষেপ কর তোমরা যা নিক্ষেপ করবে। Moses said to them: "Throw ye - that which ye are about to throw!" |

| 177 | যখন তাঁর পিতাকে এবং তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললেন, তোমরা কিসের এবাদত কর? Behold, he said to his father and his people: "What worship ye?" |

| 178 | ইব্রাহীম (আঃ) বললেন, তোমরা যখন আহবান কর, তখন তারা শোনে কি? He said: "Do they listen to you when ye call (on them)?" |

| 179 | ইব্রাহীম বললেন, তোমরা কি তাদের সম্পর্কে ভেবে দেখেছ, যাদের পূজা করে আসছ। He said: "Do ye then see whom ye have been worshipping,- |

| 180 | যখন তাদের ভ্রাতা নূহ তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমাদের কি ভয় নেই? Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? |

| 181 | নূহ বললেন, তারা কি কাজ করছে, তা জানা আমার কি দরকার? He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? |

| 182 | নূহ বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার সম্প্রদায় তো আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলছে। He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. |

| 183 | তখন তাদের ভাই হুদ তাদেরকে বললেনঃ তোমাদের কি ভয় নেই? Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? |

| 184 | যখন তাদের ভাই সালেহ, তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমরা কি ভয় কর না? Behold, their brother Salih said to them: "Will you not fear (Allah)? |

| 185 | সালেহ বললেন এই উষ্ট্রী, এর জন্যে আছে পানি পানের পালা এবং তোমাদের জন্যে আছে পানি পানের পালা নির্দিষ্ট এক-এক দিনের। He said: "Here is a she-camel: she has a right of watering, and ye have a right of watering, (severally) on a day appointed. |

| 186 | যখন তাদের ভাই লূত তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমরা কি ভয় কর না ? Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? |

| 187 | লূত বললেন, আমি তোমাদের এই কাজকে ঘৃণা করি। He said: "I do detest your doings." |

| 188 | যখন শো’আয়ব তাদের কে বললেন, তোমরা কি ভয় কর না? Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? |

| 189 | শো’আয়ব বললেন, তোমরা যা কর, সে সম্পর্কে আমার পালনকর্তা ভালরূপে অবহিত। He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." |

| 190 | যখন মূসা তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে বললেনঃ আমি অগ্নি দেখেছি, এখন আমি সেখান থেকে তোমাদের জন্যে কোন খবর আনতে পারব অথবা তোমাদের জন্যে জ্বলন্ত অঙ্গার নিয়ে আসতে পারব যাতে তোমরা আগুন পোহাতে পার। Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warm yourselves. |

| 191 | তার কথা শুনে সুলায়মান মুচকি হাসলেন এবং বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, তুমি আমাকে সামর্থ?2470;াও যাতে আমি তোমার সেই নিয়ামতের কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে পারি, যা তুমি আমাকে ও আমার পিতা-মাতাকে দান করেছ এবং যাতে আমি তোমার পছন্দনীয় সৎকর্ম করতে পারি এবং আমাকে নিজ অনুগ্রহে তোমার সৎকর্মপরায়ন বান্দাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত কর। So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants." |

| 192 | সুলায়মান পক্ষীদের খোঁজ খবর নিলেন, অতঃপর বললেন, কি হল, হুদহুদকে দেখছি না কেন? নাকি সে অনুপস্থিত? And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said: "Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? |

| 193 | সুলায়মান বললেন, এখন আমি দেখব তুমি সত্য বলছ, না তুমি মিথ্যবাদী। (Solomon) said: "Soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied! |
(নমল: আয়াতঃ ২৭) |
| 194 | অতঃপর যখন দূত সুলায়মানের কাছে আগমন করল, তখন সুলায়মান বললেন, তোমরা কি ধনসম্পদ দ্বারা আমাকে সাহায্য করতে চাও? আল্লাহ আমাকে যা দিয়েছেন, তা তোমাদেরকে প্রদত্ত বস্তু থেকে উত্তম। বরং তোমরাই তোমাদের উপঢৌকন নিয়ে সুখে থাক। Now when (the embassy) came to Solomon, he said: "Will ye give me abundance in wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay it is ye who rejoice in your gift! |

| 195 | সুলায়মান বললেন, হে পরিষদবর্গ, তারা আত্নসমর্পণ করে আমার কাছে আসার পূর্বে কে বিলকীসের সিংহাসন আমাকে এনে দেবে? He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?" |
(নমল: আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |
| 196 | কিতাবের জ্ঞান যার ছিল, সে বলল, আপনার দিকে আপনার চোখের পলক ফেলার পূর্বেই আমি তা আপনাকে এনে দেব। অতঃপর সুলায়মান যখন তা সামনে রক্ষিত দেখলেন, তখন বললেন এটা আমার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ, যাতে তিনি আমাকে পরীক্ষা করেন যে, আমি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করি, না অকৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করি। যে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে, সে নিজের উপকারের জন্যেই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে এবং যে অকৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে সে জানুক যে, আমার পালনকর্তা অভাবমুক্ত কৃপাশীল। Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honour!" |

| 197 | সুলায়মান বললেন, বিলকীসের সামনে তার সিংহাসনের আকার-আকৃতি বদলিয়ে দাও, দেখব সে সঠিক বুঝতে পারে, না সে তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত, যাদের দিশা নেই ? He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance." |

| 198 | সালেহ বললেন, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা কল্যাণের পূর্বে দ্রুত অকল্যাণ কামনা করছ কেন? তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করছ না কেন? সম্ভবতঃ তোমরা দয়াপ্রাপ্ত হবে। He said: "O my people! why ask ye to hasten on the evil in preference to the good? If only ye ask Allah for forgiveness, ye may hope to receive mercy. |

| 199 | তারা বলল, তোমাকে এবং তোমার সাথে যারা আছে, তাদেরকে আমরা অকল্যাণের প্রতীক মনে করি। সালেহ বললেন, তোমাদের মঙ্গলামঙ্গল আল্লাহর কাছে; বরং তোমরা এমন সম্প্রদায়, যাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করা হচ্ছে। They said: "Ill omen do we augur from thee and those that are with thee". He said: "Your ill omen is with Allah; yea, ye are a people under trial." |

| 200 | উত্তরে তাঁর কওম শুধু এ কথাটিই বললো, লূত পরিবারকে তোমাদের জনপদ থেকে বের করে দাও। এরা তো এমন লোক যারা শুধু পাকপবিত্র সাজতে চায়। But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!" |

| 201 | তিনি মূসার ভগিণীকে বললেন, তার পেছন পেছন যাও। সে তাদের অজ্ঞাতসারে অপরিচিতা হয়ে তাকে দেখে যেতে লাগল। And she said to the sister of (Moses), "Follow him" so she (the sister) watched him in the character of a stranger. And they knew not. |
(আল কাসাস: আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 202 | তিনি শহরে প্রবেশ করলেন, যখন তার অধিবাসীরা ছিল বেখবর। তথায় তিনি দুই ব্যক্তিকে লড়াইরত দেখলেন। এদের একজন ছিল তাঁর নিজ দলের এবং অন্য জন তাঁর শত্রু দলের। অতঃপর যে তাঁর নিজ দলের সে তাঁর শত্রু দলের লোকটির বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর কাছে সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করল। তখন মূসা তাকে ঘুষি মারলেন এবং এতেই তার মৃত্যু হয়ে গেল। মূসা বললেন, এটা শয়তানের কাজ। নিশ্চয় সে প্রকাশ্য শত্রু, বিভ্রান্তকারী। And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!" |

| 203 | তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি তো নিজের উপর জুলুম করে ফেলেছি। অতএব, আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন। আল্লাহ তাকে ক্ষমা করলেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু। He prayed: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do Thou then forgive me!" So (Allah) forgave him: for He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 204 | তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আপনি আমার প্রতি যে অনুগ্রহ করেছেন, এরপর আমি কখনও অপরাধীদের সাহায্যকারী হব না। He said: "O my Lord! For that Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace on me, never shall I be a help to those who sin!" |

| 205 | অতঃপর তিনি প্রভাতে উঠলেন সে শহরে ভীত-শংকিত অবস্থায়। হঠাৎ তিনি দেখলেন, গতকল্য যে ব্যক্তি তাঁর সাহায্য চেয়েছিল, সে চিৎকার করে তাঁর সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করছে। মূসা তাকে বললেন, তুমি তো একজন প্রকাশ্য পথভ্রষ্ট ব্যক্তি। So he saw the morning in the city, looking about, in a state of fear, when behold, the man who had, the day before, sought his help called aloud for his help (again). Moses said to him: "Thou art truly, it is clear, a quarrelsome fellow!" |

| 206 | অতঃপর তিনি সেখান থেকে ভীত অবস্থায় বের হয়ে পড়লেন পথ দেখতে দেখতে। তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে জালেম সম্প্রদায়ের কবল থেকে রক্ষা কর। He therefore got away therefrom, looking about, in a state of fear. He prayed "O my Lord! save me from people given to wrong-doing." |

| 207 | যখন তিনি মাদইয়ান অভিমুখে রওয়ানা হলেন তখন বললেন, আশা করা যায় আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে সরল পথ দেখাবেন। Then, when he turned his face towards (the land of) Madyan, he said: "I do hope that my Lord will show me the smooth and straight Path." |

| 208 | যখন তিনি মাদইয়ানের কূপের ধারে পৌছলেন, তখন কূপের কাছে একদল লোককে পেলেন তারা জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করানোর কাজে রত। এবং তাদের পশ্চাতে দূ’জন স্ত্রীলোককে দেখলেন তারা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে আগলিয়ে রাখছে। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের কি ব্যাপার? তারা বলল, আমরা আমাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করাতে পারি না, যে পর্যন্ত রাখালরা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে নিয়ে সরে না যায়। আমাদের পিতা খুবই বৃদ্ধ। And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man." |

| 209 | অতঃপর মূসা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করালেন। অতঃপর তিনি ছায়ার দিকে সরে গেলেন এবং বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, তুমি আমার প্রতি যে অনুগ্রহ নাযিল করবে, আমি তার মুখাপেক্ষী। So he watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade, and said:"O my Lord! truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that Thou dost send me!" |

| 210 | অতঃপর বালিকাদ্বয়ের একজন লজ্জাজড়িত পদক্ষেপে তাঁর কাছে আগমন করল। বলল, আমার পিতা আপনাকে ডাকছেন, যাতে আপনি যে আমাদেরকে পানি পান করিয়েছেন, তার বিনিময়ে পুরস্কার প্রদান করেন। অতঃপর মূসা যখন তাঁর কাছে গেলেন এবং সমস্ত বৃত্তান্ত বর্ণনা করলেন, তখন তিনি বললেন, ভয় করো না, তুমি জালেম সম্প্রদায়ের কবল থেকে রক্ষা পেয়েছ। Afterwards one of the (damsels) came (back) to him, walking bashfully. She said: "My father invites thee that he may reward thee for having watered (our flocks) for us." So when he came to him and narrated the story, he said: "Fear thou not: (well) hast thou escaped from unjust people." |

| 211 | পিতা মূসাকে বললেন, আমি আমার এই কন্যাদ্বয়ের একজনকে তোমার সাথে বিবাহে দিতে চাই এই শর্তে যে, তুমি আট বছর আমার চাকুরী করবে, যদি তুমি দশ বছর পূর্ণ কর, তা তোমার ইচ্ছা। আমি তোমাকে কষ্ট দিতে চাই না। আল্লাহ চাহেন তো তুমি আমাকে সৎকর্মপরায়ণ পাবে। He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee, on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the righteous." |

| 212 | মূসা বললেন, আমার ও আপনার মধ্যে এই চুক্তি স্থির হল। দু’টি মেয়াদের মধ্য থেকে যে কোন একটি পূর্ণ করলে আমার বিরুদ্ধে কোন অভিযোগ থাকবে না। আমরা যা বলছি, তাতে আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা। He said: "Be that (the agreement) between me and thee: whichever of the two terms I fulfil, let there be no ill-will to me. Be Allah a witness to what we say." |

| 213 | আল্লাহ বললেন, আমি তোমার বাহু শক্তিশালী করব তোমার ভাই দ্বারা এবং তোমাদের প্রধান্য দান করব। ফলে, তারা তোমার কাছে পৌছাতে পারবে না। আমার নিদর্শনাবলীর জোরে তোমরা এবং তোমাদের অনুসারীরা প্রবল থাকবে। He said: "We will certainly strengthen thy arm through thy brother, and invest you both with authority, so they shall not be able to touch you: with Our Sign shall ye triumph,- you two as well as those who follow you." |

| 214 | স্মরণ কর ইব্রাহীমকে। যখন তিনি তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললেন; তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর এবং তাঁকে ভয় কর। এটাই তোমাদের জন্যে উত্তম যদি তোমরা বোঝ। And (We also saved) Abraham: behold, he said to his people, "Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you- If ye understand! |

| 215 | ইব্রাহীম বললেন, পার্থিব জীবনে তোমাদের পারস্পরিক ভালবাসা রক্ষার জন্যে তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে প্রতিমাগুলোকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছ। এরপর কেয়ামতের দিন তোমরা একে অপরকে অস্বীকার করবে এবং একে অপরকে লানত করবে। তোমাদের ঠিকানা জাহান্নাম এবং তোমাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই। And he said: "For you, ye have taken (for worship) idols besides Allah, out of mutual love and regard between yourselves in this life; but on the Day of Judgment ye shall disown each other and curse each other: and your abode will be the Fire, and ye shall have none to help." |

| 216 | অতঃপর তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলেন লূত। ইব্রাহীম বললেন, আমি আমার পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশে দেশত্যাগ করছি। নিশ্চয় তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়। But Lut had faith in Him: He said: "I will leave home for the sake of my Lord: for He is Exalted in Might, and Wise." |

| 217 | যেদিন আযাব তাদেরকে ঘেরাও করবে মাথার উপর থেকে এবং পায়ের নীচ থেকে। আল্লাহ বললেন, তোমরা যা করতে, তার স্বাদ গ্রহণ কর। On the Day that the Punishment shall cover them from above them and from below them, and (a Voice) shall say: "Taste ye (the fruits) of your deeds!" |

| 218 | যার জন্যে অনুমতি দেয়া হয়, তার জন্যে ব্যতীত আল্লাহর কাছে কারও সুপারিশ ফলপ্রসূ হবে না। যখন তাদের মন থেকে ভয়-ভীতি দূর হয়ে যাবে, তখন তারা পরস্পরে বলবে, তোমাদের পালনকর্তা কি বললেন? তারা বলবে, তিনি সত্য বলেছেন এবং তিনিই সবার উপরে মহান। "No intercession can avail in His Presence, except for those for whom He has granted permission. So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of Judgment, then) will they say, 'what is it that your Lord commanded?' they will say, 'That which is true and just; and He is the Most High Most Great'." |

| 219 | যখন আপনার পালনকর্তা ফেরেশতাগণকে বললেন, আমি মাটির মানুষ সৃষ্টি করব। Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: |

| 220 | আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন? (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" |

| 221 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ বের হয়ে যা, এখান থেকে। কারণ, তুই অভিশপ্ত। (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. |

| 222 | আল্লঅহ বললেনঃ তোকে অবকাশ দেয়া হল। (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- |

| 223 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তাই ঠিক, আর আমি সত্য বলছি- (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- |

| 224 | অতঃপর তিনি আকাশের দিকে মনোযোগ দিলেন যা ছিল ধুম্রকুঞ্জ, অতঃপর তিনি তাকে ও পৃথিবীকে বললেন, তোমরা উভয়ে আস ইচ্ছায় অথবা অনিচ্ছায়। তারা বলল, আমরা স্বেচ্ছায় আসলাম। Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience." |

| 225 | তাদের মধ্যে কতক আপনার দিকে কান পাতে, অতঃপর যখন আপনার কাছ থেকে বাইরে যায়, তখন যারা শিক্ষিত, তাদেরকে বলেঃ এইমাত্র তিনি কি বললেন ? এদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং তারা নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে। And among them are men who listen to thee, but in the end, when they go out from thee, they say to those who have received Knowledge, "What is it he said just then?" Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own lusts. |

| 226 | যখন নবী তাঁর একজন স্ত্রীর কাছে একটি কথা গোপনে বললেন, অতঃপর স্ত্রী যখন তা বলে দিল এবং আল্লাহ নবীকে তা জানিয়ে দিলেন, তখন নবী সে বিষয়ে স্ত্রীকে কিছু বললেন এবং কিছু বললেন না। নবী যখন তা স্ত্রীকে বললেন, তখন স্ত্রী বললেনঃ কে আপনাকে এ সম্পর্কে অবহিত করল? নবী বললেন,ঃ যিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, ওয়াকিফহাল, তিনি আমাকে অবহিত করেছেন। When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)." |
