| 1 | আপনি বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে বলি না যে, আমার কাছে আল্লাহর ভান্ডার রয়েছে। তাছাড়া আমি অদৃশ্য বিষয় অবগতও নই। আমি এমন বলি না যে, আমি ফেরেশতা। আমি তো শুধু ঐ ওহীর অনুসরণ করি, যা আমার কাছে আসে। আপনি বলে দিনঃ অন্ধ ও চক্ষুমান কি সমান হতে পারে? তোমরা কি চিন্তা কর না ? Say: "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor do I tell you I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me." Say: "can the blind be held equal to the seeing?" Will ye then consider not? |

| 2 | মেহমান ফেরেশতাগন বলল-হে লূত (আঃ) আমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ হতে প্রেরিত ফেরেশতা। এরা কখনো তোমার দিকে পৌঁছাতে পারবে না। ব্যস তুমি কিছুটা রাত থাকতে থাকতে নিজের লোকজন নিয়ে বাইরে চলে যাও। আর তোমাদের কেউ যেন পিছনে ফিরে না তাকায়। কিন্তু তোমার স্ত্রী নিশ্চয় তার উপরও তা আপতিত হবে, যা ওদের উপর আপতিত হবে। ভোর বেলাই তাদের প্রতিশ্রুতির সময়, ভোর কি খুব নিকটে নয়? (The Messengers) said: "O Lut! We are Messengers from thy Lord! By no means shall they reach thee! now travel with thy family while yet a part of the night remains, and let not any of you look back: but thy wife (will remain behind): To her will happen what happens to the people. Morning is their time appointed: Is not the morning nigh?" |

| 3 | যখন সে তাদের চক্রান্ত শুনল, তখন তাদেরকে ডেকে পাঠাল এবং তাদের জন্যে একটি ভোজ সভার আয়োজন করল। সে তাদের প্রত্যেককে একটি ছুরি দিয়ে বললঃ ইউসুফ এদের সামনে চলে এস। যখন তারা তাকে দেখল, হতভম্ব হয়ে গেল এবং আপন হাত কেটে ফেলল। তারা বললঃ কখনই নয় এ ব্যক্তি মানব নয়। এ তো কোন মহান ফেরেশতা। When she heard of their malicious talk, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them: she gave each of them a knife: and she said (to Joseph), "Come out before them." When they saw him, they did extol him, and (in their amazement) cut their hands: they said, "Allah preserve us! no mortal is this! this is none other than a noble angel!" |
