| 1 | অতঃপর যখন তারা ইউসুফের কাছে পৌঁছল তখন বললঃ হে আযীয, আমরা ও আমাদের পরিবারবর্গ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়ে পড়েছি এবং আমরা অপর্যাপ্ত পুঁজি নিয়ে এসেছি। অতএব আপনি আমাদের পুরোপুরি বরাদ্দ দিন এবং আমাদের কে দান করুন। আল্লাহ দাতাদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকেন। Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable." |

| 2 | বলুনঃ সত্য তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত। অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করুক এবং যার ইচ্ছা অমান্য করুক। আমি জালেমদের জন্যে অগ্নি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি, যার বেষ্টনী তাদের কে পরিবেষ্টন করে থাকবে। যদি তারা পানীয় প্রার্থনা করে, তবে পুঁজের ন্যায় পানীয় দেয়া হবে যা তাদের মুখমন্ডল দগ্ধ করবে। কত নিকৃষ্ট পানীয় এবং খুবই মন্দ আশ্রয়। Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on! |
