| 1 | তিনিই তোমাদেরকে মাটির দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর নির্দিষ্টকাল নির্ধারণ করেছেন। আর অপর নির্দিষ্টকাল আল্লাহর কাছে আছে। তথাপি তোমরা সন্দেহ কর। He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves! |

| 2 | চতুস্পদ জন্তুসমূহের মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্যে নির্দিষ্টকাল পর্যন্ত উপকার রয়েছে। অতঃপর এগুলোকে পৌছাতে হবে মুক্ত গৃহ পর্যন্ত। In them ye have benefits for a term appointed: in the end their place of sacrifice is near the Ancient House. |

| 3 | তুমি কি দেখ না যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন? তিনি চন্দ্র ও সূর্যকে কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকেই নির্দিষ্টকাল পর্যন্ত পরিভ্রমণ করে। তুমি কি আরও দেখ না যে, তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ তার খবর রাখেন? Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do? |

| 4 | আল্লাহ তা’আলা তোমাদের পাপসমূহ ক্ষমা করবেন এবং নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দিবেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তা’আলার নির্দিষ্টকাল যখন হবে, তখন অবকাশ দেয়া হবে না, যদি তোমরা তা জানতে! "So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew." |
