| 1 | নগরে মহিলারা বলাবলি করতে লাগল যে, আযীযের স্ত্রী স্বীয় গোলামকে কুমতলব চরিতার্থ করার জন্য ফুসলায়। সে তার প্রেমে উম্মত্ত হয়ে গেছে। আমরা তো তাকে প্রকাশ্য ভ্রান্তিতে দেখতে পাচ্ছি। Ladies said in the City: "The wife of the (great) 'Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave from his (true) self: Truly hath he inspired her with violent love: we see she is evidently going astray." |

| 2 | প্রাচীরের ব্যাপার-সেটি ছিল নগরের দুজন পিতৃহীন বালকের। এর নীচে ছিল তাদের গুপ্তধন এবং তাদের পিতা ছিল সৎকর্ম পরায়ন। সুতরাং আপনার পালনকর্তা দায়বশতঃ ইচ্ছা করলেন যে, তারা যৌবনে পদার্পন করুক এবং নিজেদের গুপ্তধন উদ্ধার করুক। আমি নিজ মতে এটা করিনি। আপনি যে বিষয়ে ধৈর্য্যধারণ করতে অক্ষম হয়েছিলেন, এই হল তার ব্যাখ্যা। "As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience." |

| 3 | যদি শত্রুপক্ষ চতুর্দিক থেকে নগরে প্রবেশ করে তাদের সাথে মিলিত হত, অতঃপর বিদ্রোহ করতে প্ররোচিত করত, তবে তারা অবশ্যই বিদ্রোহ করত এবং তারা মোটেই বিলম্ব করত না। And if an entry had been effected to them from the sides of the (city), and they had been incited to sedition, they would certainly have brought it to pass, with none but a brief delay! |
