| 1 | হে রসূল, তাদের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না, যারা দৌড়ে গিয়ে কুফরে পতিত হয়; যারা মুখে বলেঃ আমরা মুসলমান, অথচ তাদের অন্তর মুসলমান নয় এবং যারা ইহুদী; মিথ্যাবলার জন্যে তারা গুপ্তচর বৃত্তি করে। তারা অন্যদলের গুপ্তচর, যারা আপনার কাছে আসেনি। তারা বাক্যকে স্বস্থান থেকে পরিবর্তন করে। তারা বলেঃ যদি তোমরা এ নির্দেশ পাও, তবে কবুল করে নিও এবং যদি এ নির্দেশ না পাও, তবে বিরত থেকো। আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করতে চান, তার জন্যে আল্লাহর কাছে আপনি কিছু করতে পারবেন না। এরা এমনিই যে, আল্লাহ এদের অন্তরকে পবিত্র করতে চান না। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে দুনিয়াতে লাঞ্ছনা এবং পরকালে বিরাট শাস্তি। O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment. |

| 2 | তোমরা পথে ঘাটে এ কারণে বসে থেকো না যে, আল্লাহ বিশ্বাসীদেরকে হুমকি দিবে, আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করবে এবং তাতে বক্রতা অনুসন্ধান করবে। স্মরণ কর, যখন তোমরা সংখ্যায় অল্প ছিলে অতঃপর আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে অধিক করেছেন এবং লক্ষ্য কর কিরূপ অশুভ পরিণতি হয়েছে অনর্থকারীদের। "And squat not on every road, breathing threats, hindering from the path of Allah those who believe in Him, and seeking in it something crooked; But remember how ye were little, and He gave you increase. And hold in your mind's eye what was the end of those who did mischief. |

| 3 | আর স্মরণ করতে থাক স্বীয় পালনকর্তাকে আপন মনে ক্রন্দনরত ও ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত অবস্থায় এবং এমন স্বরে যা চিৎকার করে বলা অপেক্ষা কম; সকালে ও সন্ধ্যায়। আর বে-খবর থেকো না। And do thou (O reader!) Bring thy Lord to remembrance in thy (very) soul, with humility and in reverence, without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not thou of those who are unheedful. |

| 4 | আর নৌকাখানি তাদের বহন করে চলল পর্বত প্রমাণ তরঙ্গমালার মাঝে, আর নূহ (আঃ) তাঁর পুত্রকে ডাক দিলেন আর সে সরে রয়েছিল, তিনি বললেন, প্রিয় বৎস! আমাদের সাথে আরোহন কর এবং কাফেরদের সাথে থেকো না। So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!" |
