| 1 | আর তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশ্রুতি নেবার উদ্দেশ্যে আমি তাদের উপর তূর পর্বতকে তুলে ধরেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে বলেছিলাম, অবনত মস্তকে দরজায় ঢোক। আর বলেছিলাম, শনিবার দিন সীমালংঘন করো না। এভাবে তাদের কাছ থেকে দৃঢ় অঙ্গীকার নিয়েছিলাম। And for their covenant we raised over them (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai); and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in the matter of the sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant. |

| 2 | ঢোক গিলে তা পান করবে। এবং গলার ভিতরে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না। প্রতি দিক থেকে তার কাছে মৃত্যু আগমন করবে এবং সে মরবে না। তার পশ্চাতেও রয়েছে কঠোর আযাব। In gulps will he sip it, but never will he be near swallowing it down his throat: death will come to him from every quarter, yet will he not die: and in front of him will be a chastisement unrelenting. |
