| 1 | আর যখন মূসা তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা তোমাদেরই ক্ষতিসাধন করেছ এই গোবৎস নির্মাণ করে। কাজেই এখন তওবা কর স্বীয় স্রষ্টার প্রতি এবং নিজ নিজ প্রাণ বিসর্জন দাও। এটাই তোমাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর তোমাদের স্রষ্টার নিকট। তারপর তোমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করা হল। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনিই ক্ষমাকারী, অত্যন্ত মেহেরবান। And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf: So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your Maker." Then He turned towards you (in forgiveness): For He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

| 2 | যারা ঈমানের পরিবর্তে কুফর ক্রয় করে নিয়েছে, তারা আল্লাহ তা’আলার কিছুই ক্ষতিসাধন করতে পারবে না। আর তাদের জন্য রয়েছে বেদনাদায়ক শাস্তি। Those who purchase Unbelief at the price of faith,- not the least harm will they do to Allah, but they will have a grievous punishment. |

| 3 | আর উপাসনা করে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে এমন বস্তুর, যা না তাদের কোন ক্ষতিসাধন করতে পারে, না লাভ এবং বলে, এরা তো আল্লাহর কাছে আমাদের সুপারিশকারী। তুমি বল, তোমরা কি আল্লাহকে এমন বিষয়ে অবহিত করছ, যে সম্পর্কে তিনি অবহিত নন আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে ? তিনি পুতঃপবিত্র ও মহান সে সমস্ত থেকে যাকে তোমরা শরীক করছ। They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!" |

| 4 | এবং যাদের পাল্লা হাল্কা হবে তারাই নিজেদের ক্ষতিসাধন করেছে, তারা দোযখেই চিরকাল বসবাস করবে। But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. |

| 5 | মুমিনগণ! যদি কোন পাপাচারী ব্যক্তি তোমাদের কাছে কোন সংবাদ আনয়ন করে, তবে তোমরা পরীক্ষা করে দেখবে, যাতে অজ্ঞতাবশতঃ তোমরা কোন সম্প্রদায়ের ক্ষতিসাধনে প্রবৃত্ত না হও এবং পরে নিজেদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে অনুতপ্ত না হও। O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done. |
