| 1 | কস্মিনকালেও তারা মৃত্যু কামনা করবে না ঐসব গোনাহর কারণে, যা তাদের হাত পাঠিয়ে দিয়েছে। আল্লাহ গোনাহগারদের সম্পর্কে সম্যক অবগত রয়েছেন। But they will never seek for death, on account of the (sins) which their hands have sent on before them. and Allah is well-acquainted with the wrong-doers. |

| 2 | তারা বলেঃ এসব চতুষ্পদ জন্তু ও শস্যক্ষেত্র নিষিদ্ধ। আমরা যাকে ইচছা করি, সে ছাড়া এগুলো কেউ খেতে পারবে না, তাদের ধারণা অনুসারে। আর কিছুসংখ্যক চতুষ্পদ জন্তুর পিঠে আরোহন হারাম করা হয়েছে এবং কিছু সংখ্যক চতুষ্পদ জন্তুর উপর তারা ভ্রান্ত ধারনা বশতঃ আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করে না, তাদের মনগড়া বুলির কারণে, অচিরেই তিনি তাদের কে শাস্তি দিবেন। And they say that such and such cattle and crops are taboo, and none should eat of them except those whom - so they say - We wish; further, there are cattle forbidden to yoke or burden, and cattle on which, (at slaughter), the name of Allah is not pronounced; - inventions against Allah's name: soon will He requite them for their inventions. |

| 3 | আর ইব্রাহীম কর্তৃক স্বীয় পিতার মাগফেরাত কামনা ছিল কেবল সেই প্রতিশ্রুতির কারণে, যা তিনি তার সাথে করেছিলেন। অতঃপর যখন তাঁর কাছে একথা প্রকাশ পেল যে, সে আল্লাহর শত্রু তখন তার সাথে সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করে নিলেন। নিঃসন্দেহে ইব্রাহীম ছিলেন বড় কোমল হৃদয়, সহনশীল। And Abraham prayed for his father's forgiveness only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him: for Abraham was most tender-hearted, forbearing. |

| 4 | এটা তোমার দুই হাতের কর্মের কারণে, আল্লাহ বান্দাদের প্রতি জুলুম করেন না। (It will be said): "This is because of the deeds which thy hands sent forth, for verily Allah is not unjust to His servants. |
