| 1 | হে বনী-ইসরাঈলগণ! তোমরা স্মরণ কর আমার অনুগ্রহের কথা, যা আমি তোমাদের উপর করেছি এবং (স্মরণ কর) সে বিষয়টি যে, আমি তোমাদেরকে উচ্চমর্যাদা দান করেছি সমগ্র বিশ্বের উপর। Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all other (for My Message). |

| 2 | পার্থিব জীবনের উপর কাফেরদিগকে উম্মত্ত করে দেয়া হয়েছে। আর তারা ঈমানদারদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে হাসাহাসি করে। পক্ষান্তরে যারা পরহেযগার তারা সেই কাফেরদের তুলনায় কেয়ামতের দিন অত্যন্ত উচ্চমর্যাদায় থাকবে। আর আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা সীমাহীন রুযী দান করেন। The life of this world is alluring to those who reject faith, and they scoff at those who believe. But the righteous will be above them on the Day of Resurrection; for Allah bestows His abundance without measure on whom He will. |

| 3 | তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা উচ্চমর্যাদা ও আর্থিক প্রাচুর্যের অধিকারী, তারা যেন কসম না খায় যে, তারা আত্নীয়-স্বজনকে, অভাবগ্রস্তকে এবং আল্লাহর পথে হিজরতকারীদেরকে কিছুই দেবে না। তাদের ক্ষমা করা উচিত এবং দোষক্রটি উপেক্ষা করা উচিত। তোমরা কি কামনা কর না যে, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেন? আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম করুণাময়। Let not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
