| 1 | তোমাদের আশার উপর ও ভিত্তি নয় এবং আহলে-কিতাবদের আশার উপরও না। যে কেউ মন্দ কাজ করবে, সে তার শাস্তি পাবে এবং সে আল্লাহ ছাড়া নিজের কোন সমর্থক বা সাহায্যকারী পাবে না। Not your desires, nor those of the People of the Book (can prevail): whoever works evil, will be requited accordingly. Nor will he find, besides Allah, any protector or helper. |

| 2 | তিনিই তোমাদেরকে বিদ্যুৎ দেখান ভয়ের জন্যে এবং আশার জন্যে এবং উক্ষিত করেন ঘন মেঘমালা। It is He Who doth show you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope: It is He Who doth raise up the clouds, heavy with (fertilising) rain! |

| 3 | তারা মুমিনদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ আমরা কি তোমাদের সাথে ছিলাম না? তারা বলবেঃ হঁ্যা কিন্তু তোমরা নিজেরাই নিজেদেরকে বিপদগ্রস্ত করেছ। প্রতীক্ষা করেছ, সন্দেহ পোষণ করেছ এবং অলীক আশার পেছনে বিভ্রান্ত হয়েছ, অবশেষে আল্লাহর আদেশ পৌঁছেছে। এই সবই তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে প্রতারিত করেছে। (Those without) will call out, "Were we not with you?" (The others) will reply, "True! but ye led yourselves into temptation; ye looked forward (to our ruin); ye doubted (Allah's Promise); and (your false) desires deceived you; until there issued the Command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah. |
