| 1 | এবং যখন আমি হযরত আদম (আঃ)-কে সেজদা করার জন্য ফেরেশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দিলাম, তখনই ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সিজদা করলো। সে (নির্দেশ) পালন করতে অস্বীকার করল এবং অহংকার প্রদর্শন করল। ফলে সে কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গেল। And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith. |

| 2 | এবং আমি আদমকে হুকুম করলাম যে, তুমি ও তোমার স্ত্রী জান্নাতে বসবাস করতে থাক এবং ওখানে যা চাও, যেখান থেকে চাও, পরিতৃপ্তিসহ খেতে থাক, কিন্তু এ গাছের নিকটবর্তী হয়ো না। অন্যথায় তোমরা যালিমদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে পড়বে। We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." |

| 3 | যখন মূসা (আঃ) স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদের একটি গরু জবাই করতে বলেছেন। তারা বলল, তুমি কি আমাদের সাথে উপহাস করছ? মূসা (আঃ) বললেন, মূর্খদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হওয়া থেকে আমি আল্লাহর আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করছি। And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!" |

| 4 | অতঃপর এ ঘটনার পরে তোমাদের অন্তর কঠিন হয়ে গেছে। তা পাথরের মত অথবা তদপেক্ষাও কঠিন। পাথরের মধ্যে এমন ও আছে; যা থেকে ঝরণা প্রবাহিত হয়, এমনও আছে, যা বিদীর্ণ হয়, অতঃপর তা থেকে পানি নির্গত হয় এবং এমনও আছে, যা আল্লাহর ভয়ে খসেপড়তে থাকে! আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজকর্ম সম্পর্কে বে-খবর নন। Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do. |

| 5 | আর যখন আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশ্রুতি নিলাম এবং তুর পর্বতকে তোমাদের উপর তুলে ধরলাম যে, শক্ত করে ধর, আমি যা তোমাদের দিয়েছি আর শোন। তারা বলল, আমরা শুনেছি আর অমান্য করেছি। কুফরের কারণে তাদের অন্তরে গোবৎসপ্রীতি পান করানো হয়েছিল। বলে দিন, তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হলে, তোমাদের সে বিশ্বাস মন্দ বিষয়াদি শিক্ষা দেয়। And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai): (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you, and hearken (to the Law)": They said:" We hear, and we disobey:" And they had to drink into their hearts (of the taint) of the calf because of their Faithlessness. Say: "Vile indeed are the behests of your Faith if ye have any faith!" |

| 6 | আপনি বলে দিন, যে কেউ জিবরাঈলের শত্রু হয়-যেহেতু তিনি আল্লাহর আদেশে এ কালাম আপনার অন্তরে নাযিল করেছেন, যা সত্যায়নকারী তাদের সম্মুখস্থ কালামের এবং মুমিনদের জন্য পথপ্রদর্শক ও সুসংবাদদাতা। Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel-for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will, a confirmation of what went before, and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe,- |

| 7 | যারা কিছু জানে না, তারা বলে, আল্লাহ আমাদের সঙ্গে কেন কথা বলেন না? অথবা আমাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন কেন আসে না? এমনি ভাবে তাদের পূর্বে যারা ছিল তারাও তাদেরই অনুরূপ কথা বলেছে। তাদের অন্তর একই রকম। নিশ্চয় আমি উজ্জ্বল নিদর্শনসমূহ বর্ণনা করেছি তাদের জন্যে যারা প্রত্যয়শীল। Say those without knowledge: "Why speaketh not Allah unto us? or why cometh not unto us a Sign?" So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike. We have indeed made clear the Signs unto any people who hold firmly to Faith (in their hearts). |

| 8 | ইব্রাহীমের ধর্ম থেকে কে মুখ ফেরায়? কিন্তু সে ব্যক্তি, যে নিজেকে বোকা প্রতিপন্ন করে। নিশ্চয়ই আমি তাকে পৃথিবীতে মনোনীত করেছি এবং সে পরকালে সৎকর্মশীলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। And who turns away from the religion of Abraham but such as debase their souls with folly? Him We chose and rendered pure in this world: And he will be in the Hereafter in the ranks of the Righteous. |

| 9 | তারা বলে, তোমরা ইহুদী অথবা খ্রীষ্টান হয়ে যাও, তবেই সুপথ পাবে। আপনি বলুন, কখনই নয়; বরং আমরা ইব্রাহীমের ধর্মে আছি যাতে বক্রতা নেই। সে মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল না। They say: "Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (To salvation)." Say thou: "Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with Allah." |

| 10 | যদি আপনি আহলে কিতাবদের কাছে সমুদয় নিদর্শন উপস্থাপন করেন, তবুও তারা আপনার কেবলা মেনে নেবে না এবং আপনিও তাদের কেবলা মানেন না। তারাও একে অন্যের কেবলা মানে না। যদি আপনি তাদের বাসনার অনুসরণ করেন, সে জ্ঞানলাভের পর, যা আপনার কাছে পৌঁছেছে, তবে নিশ্চয় আপনি অবিচারকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন। Even if thou wert to bring to the people of the Book all the Signs (together), they would not follow Thy Qibla; nor art thou going to follow their Qibla; nor indeed will they follow each other's Qibla. If thou after the knowledge hath reached thee, Wert to follow their (vain) desires,-then wert thou Indeed (clearly) in the wrong. |

| 11 | হে ঈমানদার গন! তোমরা পরিপূর্ণভাবে ইসলামের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাও এবং শয়তানের পদাংক অনুসরণ কর না। নিশ্চিত রূপে সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু। O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy. |

| 12 | সকল মানুষ একই জাতি সত্তার অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তা’আলা পয়গম্বর পাঠালেন সুসংবাদদাতা ও ভীতি প্রদর্শনকরী হিসাবে। আর তাঁদের সাথে অবর্তীণ করলেন সত্য কিতাব, যাতে মানুষের মাঝে বিতর্কমূলক বিষয়ে মীমাংসা করতে পারেন। বস্তুতঃ কিতাবের ব্যাপারে অন্য কেউ মতভেদ করেনি; কিন্তু পরিষ্কার নির্দেশ এসে যাবার পর নিজেদের পারস্পরিক জেদবশতঃ তারাই করেছে, যারা কিতাব প্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ ঈমানদারদেরকে হেদায়েত করেছেন সেই সত্য বিষয়ে, যে ব্যাপারে তারা মতভেদ লিপ্ত হয়েছিল। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা, সরল পথ বাতলে দেন। Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guided whom He will to a path that is straight. |

| 13 | এগুলো হলো আল্লাহর নিদর্শন, যা আমরা তোমাদেরকে যথাযথভাবে শুনিয়ে থাকি। আর আপনি নিশ্চিতই আমার রসূলগণের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। These are the Signs of Allah: we rehearse them to thee in truth: verily Thou art one of the messengers. |

| 14 | আর স্মরণ কর, যখন ইব্রাহীম বলল, হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে দেখাও, কেমন করে তুমি মৃতকে জীবিত করবে। বললেন; তুমি কি বিশ্বাস কর না? বলল, অবশ্যই বিশ্বাস করি, কিন্তু দেখতে এজন্যে চাইছি যাতে অন্তরে প্রশান্তি লাভ করতে পারি। বললেন, তাহলে চারটি পাখী ধরে নাও। পরে সেগুলোকে নিজের পোষ মানিয়ে নাও, অতঃপর সেগুলোর দেহের একেকটি অংশ বিভিন্ন পাহাড়ের উপর রেখে দাও। তারপর সেগুলোকে ডাক; তোমার নিকট দৌড়ে চলে আসবে। আর জেনে রাখো, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, অতি জ্ঞান সম্পন্ন। When Abraham said: "Show me, Lord, how You will raise the dead, " He replied: "Have you no faith?" He said "Yes, but just to reassure my heart." Allah said, "Take four birds, draw them to you, and cut their bodies to pieces. Scatter them over the mountain-tops, then call them back. They will come swiftly to you. Know that Allah is Mighty, Wise." |

| 15 | আর তোমরা যদি প্রবাসে থাক এবং কোন লেখক না পাও তবে বন্ধকী বন্তু হস্তগত রাখা উচিত। যদি একে অন্যকে বিশ্বাস করে, তবে যাকে বিশ্বাস করা হয়, তার উচিত অন্যের প্রাপ্য পরিশোধ করা এবং স্বীয় পালনকর্তা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর! তোমরা সাক্ষ্য গোপন করো না। যে কেউ তা গোপন করবে, তার অন্তর পাপপূর্ণ হবে। তোমরা যা করা, আল্লাহ সে সম্পর্কে খুব জ্ঞাত। If ye are on a journey, and cannot find a scribe, a pledge with possession (may serve the purpose). And if one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, Let the trustee (Faithfully) discharge His trust, and let him fear his Lord. Conceal not evidence; for whoever conceals it,- His heart is tainted with sin. And Allah Knoweth all that ye do. |

| 16 | তিনিই আপনার প্রতি কিতাব নাযিল করেছেন। তাতে কিছু আয়াত রয়েছে সুস্পষ্ট, সেগুলোই কিতাবের আসল অংশ। আর অন্যগুলো রূপক। সুতরাং যাদের অন্তরে কুটিলতা রয়েছে, তারা অনুসরণ করে ফিৎনা বিস্তার এবং অপব্যাখ্যার উদ্দেশে তন্মধ্যেকার রূপকগুলোর। আর সেগুলোর ব্যাখ্যা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কেউ জানে না। আর যারা জ্ঞানে সুগভীর, তারা বলেনঃ আমরা এর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি। এই সবই আমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে। আর বোধশক্তি সম্পন্নেরা ছাড়া অপর কেউ শিক্ষা গ্রহণ করে না। He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding. |

| 17 | হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা! সরল পথ প্রদর্শনের পর তুমি আমাদের অন্তরকে সত্যলংঘনে প্রবৃত্ত করোনা এবং তোমার নিকট থেকে আমাদিগকে অনুগ্রহ দান কর। তুমিই সব কিছুর দাতা। "Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure. |
(আল ইমরান: আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 18 | যখন ফেরেশতাগণ বললো, হে মারইয়াম আল্লাহ তোমাকে তাঁর এক বানীর সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছেন, যার নাম হলো মসীহ-মারইয়াম-তনয় ঈসা, দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে তিনি মহাসম্মানের অধিকারী এবং আল্লাহর ঘনিষ্ঠদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত। Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; |

| 19 | যখন তিনি মায়ের কোলে থাকবেন এবং পূর্ণ বয়স্ক হবেন তখন তিনি মানুষের সাথে কথা বলবেন। আর তিনি সৎকর্মশীলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন। "He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous." |
(আল ইমরান: আয়াতঃ ৪৬) |
| 20 | বল, ‘আল্লাহ সত্য বলেছেন। এখন সবাই ইব্রাহীমের ধর্মের অনুগত হয়ে যাও, যিনি ছিলেন একনিষ্ঠ ভাবে সত্যধর্মের অনুসারী। তিনি মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন না। Say: "Allah speaketh the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans." |

| 21 | হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা মুমিন ব্যতীত অন্য কাউকে অন্তরঙ্গরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, তারা তোমাদের অমঙ্গল সাধনে কোন ক্রটি করে না-তোমরা কষ্টে থাক, তাতেই তাদের আনন্দ। শত্রুতাপ্রসুত বিদ্বেষ তাদের মুখেই ফুটে বেরোয়। আর যা কিছু তাদের মনে লুকিয়ে রয়েছে, তা আরো অনেকগুণ বেশী জঘন্য। তোমাদের জন্যে নিদর্শন বিশদভাবে বর্ণনা করে দেয়া হলো, যদি তোমরা তা অনুধাবন করতে সমর্থ হও। O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks: They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if ye have wisdom. |

| 22 | অতঃপর তোমাদের উপর শোকের পর শান্তি অবতীর্ণ করলেন, যা ছিল তন্দ্রার মত। সে তন্দ্রায় তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ ঝিমোচ্ছিল আর কেউ কেউ প্রাণের ভয়ে ভাবছিল। আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে তাদের মিথ্যা ধারণা হচ্ছিল মুর্খদের মত। তারা বলছিল আমাদের হাতে কি কিছুই করার নেই? তুমি বল, সবকিছুই আল্লাহর হাতে। তারা যা কিছু মনে লুকিয়ে রাখে-তোমার নিকট প্রকাশ করে না সে সবও। তারা বলে আমাদের হাতে যদি কিছু করার থাকতো, তাহলে আমরা এখানে নিহত হতাম না। তুমি বল, তোমরা যদি নিজেদের ঘরেও থাকতে তবুও তারা অবশ্যই বেরিয়ে আসত নিজেদের অবস্থান থেকে যাদের মৃত্যু লিখে দেয়া হয়েছে। তোমাদের বুকে যা রয়েছে তার পরীক্ষা করা ছিল আল্লাহর ইচ্ছা, আর তোমাদের অন্তরে যা কিছু রয়েছে তা পরিষ্কার করা ছিল তাঁর কাম্য। আল্লাহ মনের গোপন বিষয় জানেন। After (the excitement) of the distress, He sent down calm on a band of you overcome with slumber, while another band was stirred to anxiety by their own feelings, Moved by wrong suspicions of Allah-suspicions due to ignorance. They said: "What affair is this of ours?" Say thou: "Indeed, this affair is wholly Allah's." They hide in their minds what they dare not reveal to thee. They say (to themselves): "If we had had anything to do with this affair, We should not have been in the slaughter here." Say: "Even if you had remained in your homes, those for whom death was decreed would certainly have gone forth to the place of their death"; but (all this was) that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purge what is in your hearts. For Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts. |

| 23 | এবং তাদেরকে যাতে সনাক্ত করা যায় যারা মুনাফিক ছিল। আর তাদেরকে বলা হল এসো, আল্লাহর রাহে লড়াই কর কিংবা শত্রুদিগকে প্রতিহত কর। তারা বলেছিল, আমরা যদি জানতাম যে, লড়াই হবে, তাহলে অবশ্যই তোমাদের সাথে থাকতাম। সে দিন তারা ঈমানের তুলনায় কুফরীর কাছাকাছি ছিল। যা তাদের অন্তরে নেই তারা নিজের মুখে সে কথাই বলে বস্তুতঃআল্লাহ ভালভাবে জানেন তারা যা কিছু গোপন করে থাকে। And the Hypocrites also. These were told: "Come, fight in the way of Allah, or (at least) drive (The foe from your city)." They said: "Had we known how to fight, we should certainly have followed you." They were that day nearer to Unbelief than to Faith, saying with their lips what was not in their hearts but Allah hath full knowledge of all they conceal. |

| 24 | পুরুষেরা নারীদের উপর কৃর্তত্বশীল এ জন্য যে, আল্লাহ একের উপর অন্যের বৈশিষ্ট্য দান করেছেন এবং এ জন্য যে, তারা তাদের অর্থ ব্যয় করে। সে মতে নেককার স্ত্রীলোকগণ হয় অনুগতা এবং আল্লাহ যা হেফাযতযোগ্য করে দিয়েছেন লোক চক্ষুর অন্তরালেও তার হেফাযত করে। আর যাদের মধ্যে অবাধ্যতার আশঙ্কা কর তাদের সদুপদেশ দাও, তাদের শয্যা ত্যাগ কর এবং প্রহার কর। যদি তাতে তারা বাধ্য হয়ে যায়, তবে আর তাদের জন্য অন্য কোন পথ অনুসন্ধান করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সবার উপর শ্রেষ্ঠ। Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). |

| 25 | কিন্তু যারা এমন সম্প্রদায়ের সাথে মিলিত হয় যে, তোমাদের মধ্যে ও তাদের মধ্যে চুক্তি আছে অথবা তোমাদের কাছে এভাবে আসে যে, তাদের অন্তর তোমাদের সাথে এবং স্বজাতির সাথেও যুদ্ধ করতে অনিচ্ছুক। যদি আল্লাহ ইচ্ছে করতেন, তবে তোমাদের উপর তাদেরকে প্রবল করে দিতেন। ফলে তারা অবশ্যই তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করত। অতঃপর যদি তারা তোমাদের থেকে পৃথক থাকে তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ না করে এবং তোমাদের সাথে সন্ধি করে, তবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের কে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে কোন পথ দেননি। Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them). |

| 26 | মুসলমানের কাজ নয় যে, মুসলমানকে হত্যা করে; কিন্তু ভুলক্রমে। যে ব্যক্তি মুসলমানকে ভূলক্রমে হত্যা করে, সে একজন মুসলমান ক্রীতদাস মুক্ত করবে এবং রক্ত বিনিময় সমর্পন করবে তার স্বজনদেরকে; কিন্তু যদি তারা ক্ষমা করে দেয়। অতঃপর যদি নিহত ব্যক্তি তোমাদের শত্রু সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্গত হয়, তবে মুসলমান ক্রীতদাস মুক্ত করবে এবং যদি সে তোমাদের সাথে চুক্তিবদ্ধ কোন সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্গত হয়, তবে রক্ত বিনিময় সমর্পণ করবে তার স্বজনদেরকে এবং একজন মুসলমান ক্রীতদাস মুক্ত করবে। অতঃপর যে ব্যক্তি না পায়, সে আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে গোনাহ মাফ করানোর জন্যে উপর্যুপুরি দুই মাস রোযা রাখবে। আল্লাহ, মহাজ্ঞানী, প্রজ্ঞাময়। Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah: for Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom. |

| 27 | অতএব, তারা যে শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল, তা ছিল তাদেরই অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গর জন্য এবং অন্যায়ভাবে রসূলগণকে হত্যা করার কারণে এবং তাদের এই উক্তির দরুন যে, আমাদের হৃদয় আচ্ছন্ন। অবশ্য তা নয়, বরং কুফরীর কারণে স্বয়ং আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরের উপর মোহর এঁটে দিয়েছেন। ফলে এরা ঈমান আনে না কিন্তু অতি অল্পসংখ্যক। (They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah; that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;- |

| 28 | তোমরা আল্লাহর নেয়ামতের কথা স্মরণ কর, যা তোমাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে এবং ঐ অঙ্গীকারকেও যা তোমাদের কাছ থেকে নিয়েছেন, যখন তোমরা বলেছিলেঃ আমরা শুনলাম এবং মেনে নিলাম। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ অন্তরের বিষয় সম্পর্কে পুরোপুরি খবর রাখেন। And call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, and His covenant, which He ratified with you, when ye said: "We hear and we obey": And fear Allah, for Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts. |

| 29 | অতএব, তাদের অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গের দরুন আমি তাদের উপর অভিসম্পাত করেছি এবং তাদের অন্তরকে কঠোর করে দিয়েছি। তারা কালামকে তার স্থান থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেয় এবং তাদেরকে যে উপদেশ দেয়া হয়েছিল, তারা তা থেকে উপকার লাভ করার বিষয়টি বিস্মৃত হয়েছে। আপনি সর্বদা তাদের কোন না কোন প্রতারণা সম্পর্কে অবগত হতে থাকেন, তাদের অল্প কয়েকজন ছাড়া। অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন এবং মার্জনা করুন। আল্লাহ অনুগ্রহকারীদেরকে ভালবাসেন। But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind. |

| 30 | ইহুদী ও খ্রীষ্টানরা বলে, আমরা আল্লাহর সন্তান ও তাঁর প্রিয়জন। আপনি বলুন, তবে তিনি তোমাদেরকে পাপের বিনিময়ে কেন শাস্তি দান করবেন? বরং তোমারও অন্যান্য সৃষ্ট মানবের অন্তর্ভুক্ত সাধারণ মানুষ। তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা ক্ষমা করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা শাস্তি প্রদান করেন। নভোমন্ডল, ভুমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যে যা কিছু আছে, তাতে আল্লাহরই আধিপত্য রয়েছে এবং তাঁর দিকেই প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। (Both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are sons of Allah, and his beloved." Say: "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,- of the men he hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth: and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto Him is the final goal (of all)" |

| 31 | আমি চাই যে, আমার পাপ ও তোমার পাপ তুমি নিজের মাথায় চাপিয়ে নাও। অতঃপর তুমি দোযখীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যাও। এটাই অত্যাচারীদের শাস্তি। "For me, I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine, for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire, and that is the reward of those who do wrong." |

| 32 | অতঃপর তার অন্তর তাকে ভ্রাতৃহত্যায় উদুদ্ধ করল। অনন্তর সে তাকে হত্যা করল। ফলে সে ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেল। The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones. |

| 33 | হে রসূল, তাদের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না, যারা দৌড়ে গিয়ে কুফরে পতিত হয়; যারা মুখে বলেঃ আমরা মুসলমান, অথচ তাদের অন্তর মুসলমান নয় এবং যারা ইহুদী; মিথ্যাবলার জন্যে তারা গুপ্তচর বৃত্তি করে। তারা অন্যদলের গুপ্তচর, যারা আপনার কাছে আসেনি। তারা বাক্যকে স্বস্থান থেকে পরিবর্তন করে। তারা বলেঃ যদি তোমরা এ নির্দেশ পাও, তবে কবুল করে নিও এবং যদি এ নির্দেশ না পাও, তবে বিরত থেকো। আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করতে চান, তার জন্যে আল্লাহর কাছে আপনি কিছু করতে পারবেন না। এরা এমনিই যে, আল্লাহ এদের অন্তরকে পবিত্র করতে চান না। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে দুনিয়াতে লাঞ্ছনা এবং পরকালে বিরাট শাস্তি। O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment. |

| 34 | হে মুমিণগণ! তোমরা ইহুদী ও খ্রীষ্টানদেরকে বন্ধু হিসাবে গ্রহণ করো না। তারা একে অপরের বন্ধু। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে তাদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করবে, সে তাদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত। আল্লাহ জালেমদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না। O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust. |

| 35 | বস্তুতঃ যাদের অন্তরে রোগ রয়েছে, তাদেরকে আপনি দেখবেন, দৌড়ে গিয়ে তাদেরই মধ্যে প্রবেশ করে। তারা বলেঃ আমরা আশঙ্কা করি, পাছে না আমরা কোন দুর্ঘটনায় পতিত হই। অতএব, সেদিন দুরে নয়, যেদিন আল্লাহ তা’আলা বিজয় প্রকাশ করবেন অথবা নিজের পক্ষ থেকে কোন নির্দেশ দেবেন-ফলে তারা স্বীয় গোপন মনোভাবের জন্যে অনুতপ্ত হবে। Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts. |

| 36 | তারা বললঃ আমরা তা থেকে খেতে চাই; আমাদের অন্তর পরিতৃপ্ত হবে; আমরা জেনে নেব যে, আপনি সত্য বলেছেন এবং আমরা সাক্ষ্যদাতা হয়ে যাব। They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle." |

| 37 | আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমি কি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত-যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের স্রষ্টা এবং যিনি সবাইকে আহার্য দানকরেন ও তাঁকে কেউ আহার্য দান করে না অপরকে সাহায্যকারী স্থির করব? আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমি আদিষ্ট হয়েছি যে, সর্বাগ্রে আমিই আজ্ঞাবহ হব। আপনি কদাচ অংশীবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। Say: "Shall I take for my protector any other than Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? And He it is that feedeth but is not fed." Say: "Nay! but I am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah (in Islam), and be not thou of the company of those who join gods with Allah." |

| 38 | তাদের কেউ কেউ আপনার দিকে কান লাগিয়ে থাকে। আমি তাদের অন্তরের উপর আবরণ রেখে দিয়েছি যাতে একে না বুঝে এবং তাদের কানে বোঝা ভরে দিয়েছি। যদি তারা সব নিদর্শন অবলোকন করে তবুও সেগুলো বিশ্বাস করবে না। এমনকি, তারা যখন আপনার কাছে ঝগড়া করতে আসে, তখন কাফেররা বলেঃ এটি পুর্ববর্তীদের কিচ্ছাকাহিনী বৈ তো নয়। Of them there are some who (pretend to) listen to thee; but We have thrown veils on their hearts, So they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they saw every one of the signs, not they will believe in them; in so much that when they come to thee, they (but) dispute with thee; the Unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the ancients." |

| 39 | আর আপনি যদি দেখেন, যখন তাদেরকে দোযখের উপর দাঁড় করানো হবে! তারা বলবেঃ কতই না ভাল হত, যদি আমরা পুনঃ প্রেরিত হতাম; তা হলে আমরা স্বীয় পালনকর্তার নিদর্শনসমূহে মিথ্যারোপ করতাম না এবং আমরা বিশ্বাসীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যেতাম। If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with the Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back! Then would we not reject the signs of our Lord, but would be amongst those who believe!" |

| 40 | আর যদি তাদের বিমুখতা আপনার পক্ষে কষ্টকর হয়, তবে আপনি যদি ভূতলে কোন সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আকাশে কোন সিড়ি অনুসন্ধান করতে সমর্থ হন, অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন একটি মোজেযা আনতে পারেন, তবে নিয়ে আসুন। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে সবাইকে সরল পথে সমবেত করতে পারতেন। অতএব, আপনি নির্বোধদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)! |

| 41 | অতঃপর তাদের কাছে যখন আমার আযাব আসল, তখন কেন কাকুতি-মিনতি করল না ? বস্তুতঃ তাদের অন্তর কঠোর হয়ে গেল এবং শয়তান তাদের কাছে সুশোভিত করে দেখাল, যে কাজ তারা করছিল। When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them. |
(আল আনআম: আয়াতঃ ৪৩) |
| 42 | আপনি বলুনঃ বল তো দেখি, যদি আল্লাহ তোমাদের কান ও চোখ নিয়ে যান এবং তোমাদের অন্তরে মোহর এঁটে দেন, তবে এবং তোমাদের আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন উপাস্য কে আছে, যে তোমাদেরকে এগুলো এনে দেবে? দেখ, আমি কিভাবে ঘুরিয়ে-ফিরিয়ে নিদর্শনাবলী বর্ণনা করি। তথাপি তারা বিমুখ হচ্ছে। Say: "Think ye, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed up your hearts, who - a god other than Allah - could restore them to you?" See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); yet they turn aside. |

| 43 | আর তাদেরকে বিতাড়িত করবেন না, যারা সকাল-বিকাল স্বীয় পালকর্তার এবাদত করে, তাঁর সন্তুষ্টি কামনা করে। তাদের হিসাব বিন্দুমাত্রও আপনার দায়িত্বে নয় এবং আপনার হিসাব বিন্দুমাত্রও তাদের দায়িত্বে নয় যে, আপনি তাদেরকে বিতাড়িত করবেন। নতুবা আপনি অবিচারকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যাবেন। Send not away those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His face. In naught art thou accountable for them, and in naught are they accountable for thee, that thou shouldst turn them away, and thus be (one) of the unjust. |

| 44 | আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমাকে তাদের এবাদত করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছে, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ছেড়ে যাদের এবাদত কর। আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমি তোমাদের খুশীমত চলবো না। কেননা, তাহলে আমি পথভ্রান্ত হয়ে যাব এবং সুপথগামীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হব না। Say: "I am forbidden to worship those - others than Allah - whom ye call upon." Say: "I will not follow your wain desires: If I did, I would stray from the path, and be not of the company of those who receive guidance." |

| 45 | আপনি বলুনঃ কে তোমাদেরকে স্থল ও জলের অন্ধকার থেকে উদ্ধার করেন, যখন তোমরা তাঁকে বিনীতভাবে ও গোপনে আহবান কর যে, যদি আপনি আমাদের কে এ থেকে উদ্ধার করে নেন, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই কৃতজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাব। Say: "Who is it that delivereth you from the dark recesses of land and sea, when ye call upon Him in humility and silent terror: 'If He only delivers us from these (dangers), (we vow) we shall truly show our gratitude'?" |

| 46 | অতঃপর যখন চন্দ্রকে ঝলমল করতে দেখল, বললঃ এটি আমার প্রতিপালক। অনন্তর যখন তা অদৃশ্য হয়ে গেল, তখন বলল যদি আমার প্রতিপালক আমাকে পথ-প্রদর্শন না করেন, তবে অবশ্যই আমি বিভ্রান্ত সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাব। When he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, He said: "unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray." |

| 47 | আর ও যাকারিয়া, ইয়াহিয়া, ঈসা এবং ইলিয়াসকে। তারা সবাই পুণ্যবানদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল। And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous: |

| 48 | আমি ঘুরিয়ে দিব তাদের অন্তর ও দৃষ্টিকে, যেমন-তারা এর প্রতি প্রথমবার বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেনি এবং আমি তাদেরকে তাদের অবাধ্যতায় উদভ্রান্ত ছেড়ে দিব। We (too) shall turn to (confusion) their hearts and their eyes, even as they refused to believe in this in the first instance: We shall leave them in their trespasses, to wander in distraction. |

| 49 | তবে কি আমি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য কোন বিচারক অনুসন্ধান করব, অথচ তিনিই তোমাদের প্রতি বিস্তারিত গ্রন্থ অবতীর্ন করেছেন? আমি যাদেরকে গ্রন্থ প্রদান করেছি, তারা নিশ্চিত জানে যে, এটি আপনার প্রতি পালকের পক্ষ থেকে সত্যসহ অবর্তীর্ন হয়েছে। অতএব, আপনি সংশয়কারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than Allah? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt. |

| 50 | আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমার প্রতিপালক আমাকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেছেন একাগ্রচিত্ত ইব্রাহীমের বিশুদ্ধ ধর্ম। সে অংশীবাদীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিল না। Say: "Verily, my Lord hath guided me to a way that is straight,- a religion of right,- the path (trod) by Abraham the true in Faith, and he (certainly) joined not gods with Allah." |

| 51 | আর আমি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, এরপর আকার-অবয়ব, তৈরী করেছি। অতঃপর আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলছি-আদমকে সেজদা কর তখন সবাই সেজদা করেছে, কিন্তু ইবলীস সে সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিল না। It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate. |

| 52 | বললেন তুই এখান থেকে যা। এখানে অহংকার করার কোন অধিকার তোর নাই। অতএব তুই বের হয়ে যা। তুই হীনতমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। (Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." |
(আল আ'রাফ: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 53 | তাদের অন্তরে যা কিছু দুঃখ ছিল, আমি তা বের করে দেব। তাদের তলদেশ দিয়ে নির্ঝরণী প্রবাহিত হবে। তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহ শোকর, যিনি আমাদেরকে এ পর্যন্ত পৌছিয়েছেন। আমরা কখনও পথ পেতাম না, যদি আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন না করতেন। আমাদের প্রতিপালকের রসূল আমাদের কাছে সত্যকথা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। আওয়াজ আসবেঃ এটি জান্নাত। তোমরা এর উত্তরাধিকারী হলে তোমাদের কর্মের প্রতিদানে। And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury;- beneath them will be rivers flowing;- and they shall say: "Praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the messengers of our Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry: "Behold! the garden before you! Ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness)." |

| 54 | তাদের নিকট কি একথা প্রকাশিত হয়নি, যারা উত্তারাধিকার লাভ করেছে। সেখানকার লোকদের ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হবার পর যদি আমি ইচ্ছা করতাম, , তবে তাদেরকে তাদের পাপের দরুন পাকড়াও করে ফেলতাম। বস্তুতঃ আমি মোহর এঁটে দিয়েছি তাদের অন্তরসমূহের উপর। কাজেই এরা শুনতে পায় না। To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? |

| 55 | এগুলো হল সে সব জনপদ যার কিছু বিবরণ আমি আপনাকে অবহিত করছি। আর নিশ্চিতই ওদের কাছে পৌছেছিলেন রসূল নিদর্শন সহকারে। অতঃপর কস্মিনকালও এরা ঈমান আনবার ছিল না, তারপরে যা তার ইতিপূর্বে মিথ্যা বলে প্রতিপন্ন করেছে। এভাবেই আল্লাহ কাফেরদের অন্তরে মোহর এঁটে দেন। Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith. |

| 56 | মূসা বললেন, হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, ক্ষমা কর আমাকে আর আমার ভাইকে এবং আমাদেরকে তোমার রহমতের অন্তর্ভুক্ত কর। তুমি যে সর্বাধিক করুণাময়। Moses prayed: "O my Lord! forgive me and my brother! admit us to Thy mercy! for Thou art the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" |

| 57 | আর আপনি তাদেরকে শুনিয়ে দিন, সে লোকের অবস্থা, যাকে আমি নিজের নিদর্শনসমূহ দান করেছিলাম, অথচ সে তা পরিহার করে বেরিয়ে গেছে। আর তার পেছনে লেগেছে শয়তান, ফলে সে পথভ্রষ্টদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে পড়েছে। Relate to them the story of the man to whom We sent Our signs, but he passed them by: so Satan followed him up, and he went astray. |

| 58 | আর আমি সৃষ্টি করেছি দোযখের জন্য বহু জ্বিন ও মানুষ। তাদের অন্তর রয়েছে, তার দ্বারা বিবেচনা করে না, তাদের চোখ রয়েছে, তার দ্বারা দেখে না, আর তাদের কান রয়েছে, তার দ্বারা শোনে না। তারা চতুষ্পদ জন্তুর মত; বরং তাদের চেয়েও নিকৃষ্টতর। তারাই হল গাফেল, শৈথিল্যপরায়ণ। Many are the Jinns and men we have made for Hell: They have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle,- nay more misguided: for they are heedless (of warning). |

| 59 | যারা ঈমানদার, তারা এমন যে, যখন আল্লাহর নাম নেয়া হয় তখন ভীত হয়ে পড়ে তাদের অন্তর। আর যখন তাদের সামনে পাঠ করা হয় কালাম, তখন তাদের ঈমান বেড়ে যায় এবং তারা স্বীয় পরওয়ার দেগারের প্রতি ভরসা পোষণ করে। For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord; |

| 60 | যখন তিনি আরোপ করেন তোমাদের উপর তন্দ্রাচ্ছন্ন তা নিজের পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের প্রশান্তির জন্য এবং তোমাদের উপর আকাশ থেকে পানি অবতরণ করেন, যাতে তোমাদিগকে পবিত্র করে দেন এবং যাতে তোমাদের থেকে অপসারিত করে দেন শয়তানের অপবিত্রতা। আর যাতে করে সুরক্ষিত করে দিতে পারেন তোমাদের অন্তরসমূহকে এবং তাতে যেন সুদৃঢ় করে দিতে পারেন তোমাদের পা গুলো। Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith. |

| 61 | আর তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না, যারা বলে যে, আমরা শুনেছি, অথচ তারা শোনেনা। Nor be like those who say, "We hear," but listen not: |

| 62 | হে ঈমানদারগণ, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের নির্দেশ মান্য কর, যখন তোমাদের সে কাজের প্রতি আহবান করা হয়, যাতে রয়েছে তোমাদের জীবন। জেনে রেখো, আল্লাহ মানুষের এবং তার অন্তরের মাঝে অন্তরায় হয়ে যান। বস্তুতঃ তোমরা সবাই তাঁরই নিকট সমবেত হবে। O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. |

| 63 | আল্লাহ যখন তোমাকে স্বপ্নে সেসব কাফেরের পরিমাণ অল্প করে দেখালেন; বেশী করে দেখালে তোমরা কাপুরুষতা অবলম্বন করতে এবং কাজের বেলায় বিপদ সৃষ্টি করতে। কিন্তু আল্লাহ বাঁচিয়ে দিয়েছেন। তিনি অতি উত্তমভাবেই জানেন; যা কিছু অন্তরে রয়েছে। Remember in thy dream Allah showed them to thee as few: if He had shown them to thee as many, ye would surely have been discouraged, and ye would surely have disputed in (your) decision; but Allah saved (you): for He knoweth well the (secrets) of (all) hearts. |

| 64 | যখন মোনাফেকরা বলতে লাগল এবং যাদের অন্তর ব্যাধিগ্রস্ত, এরা নিজেদের ধর্মের উপর গর্বিত। বস্তুতঃ যারা ভরসা করে আল্লাহর উপর, সে নিশ্চিন্ত, কেননা আল্লাহ অতি পরাক্রমশীল, সুবিজ্ঞ। Lo! the hypocrites say, and those in whose hearts is a disease: "These people,- their religion has misled them." But if any trust in Allah, behold! Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. |

| 65 | আর প্রীতি সঞ্চার করেছেন তাদের অন্তরে। যদি তুমি সেসব কিছু ব্যয় করে ফেলতে, যা কিছু যমীনের বুকে রয়েছে, তাদের মনে প্রীতি সঞ্চার করতে পারতে না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তাদের মনে প্রীতি সঞ্চার করেছেন। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, সুকৌশলী। And (moreover) He hath put affection between their hearts: not if thou hadst spent all that is in the earth, couldst thou have produced that affection, but Allah hath done it: for He is Exalted in might, Wise. |

| 66 | হে নবী, তাদেরকে বলে দাও, যারা তোমার হাতে বন্দী হয়ে আছে যে, আল্লাহ যদি তোমাদের অন্তরে কোন রকম মঙ্গলচিন্তা রয়েছে বলে জানেন, তবে তোমাদেরকে তার চেয়ে বহুগুণ বেশী দান করবেন যা তোমাদের কাছ থেকে বিনিময়ে নেয়া হয়েছে। তাছাড়া তোমাদেরকে তিনি ক্ষমা করে দিবেন। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়। O Prophet! say to those who are captives in your hands: "If Allah findeth any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." |

| 67 | আর যারা ঈমান এনেছে পরবর্তী পর্যায়ে এবং ঘর-বাড়ী ছেড়েছে এবং তোমাদের সাথে সম্মিলিত হয়ে জেহাদ করেছে, তারাও তোমাদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত। বস্তুতঃ যারা আত্নীয়, আল্লাহর বিধান মতে তারা পরস্পর বেশী হকদার। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ যাবতীয় বিষয়ে সক্ষম ও অবগত। And those who accept Faith subsequently, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith in your company,- they are of you. But kindred by blood have prior rights against each other in the Book of Allah. Verily Allah is well-acquainted with all things. |

| 68 | কিরূপে? তারা তোমাদের উপর জয়ী হলে তোমাদের আত্নীয়তার ও অঙ্গীকারের কোন মর্যাদা দেবে না। তারা মুখে তোমাদের সন্তুষ্ট করে, কিন্তু তাদের অন্তরসমূহ তা অস্বীকার করে, আর তাদের অধিকাংশ প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গকারী। How (can there be such a league), seeing that if they get an advantage over you, they respect not in you the ties either of kinship or of covenant? With (fair words from) their mouths they entice you, but their hearts are averse from you; and most of them are rebellious and wicked. |

| 69 | যুদ্ধ কর ওদের সাথে, আল্লাহ তোমাদের হস্তে তাদের শাস্তি দেবেন। তাদের লাঞ্ছিত করবেন, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে তোমাদের জয়ী করবেন এবং মুসলমানদের অন্তরসমূহ শান্ত করবেন। Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, cover them with shame, help you (to victory) over them, heal the breasts of Believers, |

| 70 | তোমরা কি মনে কর যে, তোমাদের ছেড়ে দেয়া হবে এমনি, যতক্ষণ না আল্লাহ জেনে নেবেন তোমাদের কে যুদ্ধ করেছে এবং কে আল্লাহ, তাঁর রসূল ও মুসলমানদের ব্যতীত অন্য কাউকে অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করা থেকে বিরত রয়েছে। আর তোমরা যা কর সে বিষয়ে আল্লাহ সবিশেষ অবহিত। Or think ye that ye shall be abandoned, as though Allah did not know those among you who strive with might and main, and take none for friends and protectors except Allah, His Messenger, and the (community of) Believers? But Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. |

| 71 | নিঃসন্দেহে তারাই আল্লাহর মসজিদ আবাদ করবে যারা ঈমান এনেছে আল্লাহর প্রতি ও শেষ দিনের প্রতি এবং কায়েম করেছে নামায ও আদায় করে যাকাত; আল্লাহ ব্যতীত আর কাউকে ভয় করে না। অতএব, আশা করা যায়, তারা হেদায়েত প্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হবে। The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance. |

| 72 | নিঃসন্দেহে তারাই আপনার কাছে অব্যাহতি চায়, যারা আল্লাহ ও রোজ কেয়ামতে ঈমান রাখে না এবং তাদের অন্তর সন্দেহগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়েছে, সুতরাং সন্দেহের আবর্তে তারা ঘুরপাক খেয়ে চলেছে। Only those ask thee for exemption who believe not in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are in doubt, so that they are tossed in their doubts to and fro. |

| 73 | তারা আল্লাহর নামে হলফ করে বলে যে, তারা তোমাদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত, অথচ তারা তোমাদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত নয়, অবশ্য তারা তোমাদের ভয় করে। They swear by Allah that they are indeed of you; but they are not of you: yet they are afraid (to appear in their true colours). |

| 74 | মুনাফেকরা এ ব্যাপারে ভয় করে যে, মুসলমানদের উপর না এমন কোন সূরা নাযিল হয়, যাতে তাদের অন্তরের গোপন বিষয় অবহিত করা হবে। সুতরাং আপনি বলে দিন, ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রপ করতে থাক; আল্লাহ তা অবশ্যই প্রকাশ করবেন যার ব্যাপারে তোমরা ভয় করছ। The Hypocrites are afraid lest a Sura should be sent down about them, showing them what is (really passing) in their hearts. Say: "Mock ye! But verily Allah will bring to light all that ye fear (should be revealed). |

| 75 | তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ রয়েছে যারা আল্লাহ তা’আলার সাথে ওয়াদা করেছিল যে, তিনি যদি আমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ দান করেন, তবে অবশ্যই আমরা ব্যয় করব এবং সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে থাকব। Amongst them are men who made a covenant with Allah, that if He bestowed on them of His bounty, they would give (largely) in charity, and be truly amongst those who are righteous. |

| 76 | তারপর এরই পরিণতিতে তাদের অন্তরে কপটতা স্থান করে নিয়েছে সেদিন পর্যন্ত, যেদিন তার তাঁর সাথে গিয়ে মিলবে। তা এজন্য যে, তারা আল্লাহর সাথে কৃত ওয়াদা লংঘন করেছিল এবং এজন্যে যে, তারা মিথ্যা কথা বলতো। So He hath put as a consequence hypocrisy into their hearts, (to last) till the Day, whereon they shall meet Him: because they broke their covenant with Allah, and because they lied (again and again). |

| 77 | তারা পেছনে পড়ে থাকা লোকদের সাথে থেকে যেতে পেরে আনন্দিত হয়েছে এবং মোহর এঁটে দেয়া হয়েছে তাদের অন্তরসমূহের উপর। বস্তুতঃ তারা বোঝে না। They prefer to be with (the women), who remain behind (at home): their hearts are sealed and so they understand not. |

| 78 | অভিযোগের পথ তো তাদের ব্যাপারে রয়েছে, যারা তোমার নিকট অব্যাহতি কামনা করে অথচ তারা সম্পদশালী। যারা পেছনে পড়ে থাকা লোকদের সাথে থাকতে পেরে আনন্দিত হয়েছে। আর আল্লাহ মোহর এঁটে দিয়েছেন তাদের অন্তরসমূহে। বস্তুতঃ তারা জানতেও পারেনি। The ground (of complaint) is against such as claim exemption while they are rich. They prefer to stay with the (women) who remain behind: Allah hath sealed their hearts; so they know not (What they miss). |
(আত তাওবাহ: আয়াতঃ ৯৩) |
| 79 | আর কোন কোন বেদুইন হল তারা, যারা ঈমান আনে আল্লাহর উপর, কেয়ামত দিনের উপর এবং নিজেদের ব্যয়কে আল্লাহর নৈকট্য এবং রসূলের দোয়া লাভের উপায় বলে গণ্য করে। জেনো! তাই হল তাদের ক্ষেত্রে নৈকট্য। আল্লাহ তাদেরকে নিজের রহমতের অন্তর্ভূক্ত করবেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুনাময়। But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 80 | তাদের নির্মিত গৃহটি তাদের অন্তরে সদা সন্দেহের উদ্রেক করে যাবে যে পর্যন্ত না তাদের অন্তরগুলো চৌচির হয়ে যায়। আর আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ প্রজ্ঞাময়। The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicion and shakiness in their hearts, until their hearts are cut to pieces. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise. |

| 81 | আল্লাহ দয়াশীল নবীর প্রতি এবং মুহাজির ও আনসারদের প্রতি, যারা কঠিন মহূর্তে নবীর সঙ্গে ছিল, যখন তাদের এক দলের অন্তর ফিরে যাওয়ার উপক্রম হয়েছিল। অতঃপর তিনি দয়াপরবশ হন তাদের প্রতি। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনি তাদের প্রতি দয়াশীল ও করুনাময়। Allah turned with favour to the Prophet, the Muhajirs, and the Ansar,- who followed him in a time of distress, after that the hearts of a part of them had nearly swerved (from duty); but He turned to them (also): for He is unto them Most Kind, Most Merciful. |

| 82 | বস্তুতঃ যাদের অন্তরে ব্যাধি রয়েছে এটি তাদের কলুষের সাথে আরো কলুষ বৃদ্ধি করেছে এবং তারা কাফের অবস্থায়ই মৃত্যু বরণ করলো। But those in whose hearts is a disease,- it will add doubt to their doubt, and they will die in a state of Unbelief. |

| 83 | আর যখনই কোন সূরা অবতীর্ণ হয়, তখন তারা একে অন্যের দিকে তাকায় যে, কোন মুসলমান তোমাদের দেখছে কি-না-অতঃপর সরে পড়ে। আল্লাহ ওদের অন্তরকে সত্য বিমুখ করে দিয়েছেন! নিশ্চয়ই তারা নির্বোধ সম্প্রদায়। Whenever there cometh down a Sura, they look at each other, (saying), "Doth anyone see you?" Then they turn aside: Allah hath turned their hearts (from the light); for they are a people that understand not. |

| 84 | হে মানবকুল, তোমাদের কাছে উপদেশবানী এসেছে তোমাদের পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ থেকে এবং অন্তরের রোগের নিরাময়, হেদায়েত ও রহমত মুসলমানদের জন্য। O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy. |

| 85 | অনন্তর আমি নূহের পরে বহু নবী-রসূল পাঠিয়েছি তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি। তারপর তাদের কাছে তারা প্রকাশ্য দলীল-প্রমাণ উপস্থাপন করেছে, কিন্তু তাদের দ্বারা এমনটি হয়নি যে, ঈমান আনবে সে ব্যাপারে, যাকে তারা ইতিপূর্বে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছিল। এভাবেই আমি মোহর এঁটে দেই সীমালংঘনকারীদের অন্তরসমূহের উপর। Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors. |

| 86 | মূসা বলল, হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, তুমি ফেরাউনকে এবং তার সর্দারদেরকে পার্থব জীবনের আড়ম্বর দান করেছ, এবং সম্পদ দান করেছ-হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, এ জন্যই যে তারা তোমার পথ থেকে বিপথগামী করব! হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ধ্বংস করে দাও এবং তাদের অন্তরগুলোকে কাঠোর করে দাও যাতে করে তারা ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত ঈমান না আনে যতক্ষণ না বেদনাদায়ক আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করে নেয়। Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface, our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty." |

| 87 | আর বনী-ইসরাঈলকে আমি পার করে দিয়েছি নদী। তারপর তাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করেছে ফেরাউন ও তার সেনাবাহিনী, দুরাচার ও বাড়াবাড়ির উদ্দেশে। এমনকি যখন তারা ডুবতে আরম্ভ করল, তখন বলল, এবার বিশ্বাস করে নিচ্ছি যে, কোন মা’বুদ নেই তাঁকে ছাড়া যাঁর উপর ঈমান এনেছে বনী-ইসরাঈলরা। বস্তুতঃ আমিও তাঁরই অনুগতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)." |

| 88 | এখন একথা বলছ! অথচ তুমি ইতিপূর্বে না-ফরমানী করছিলে। এবং পথভ্রষ্টদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলে। (It was said to him): "Ah now!- But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion!- and thou didst mischief (and violence)! |

| 89 | এবং তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্তও হয়ো না যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আল্লাহর বাণীকে। তাহলে তুমিও অকল্যাণে পতিত হয়ে যাবে। Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of those who perish. |

| 90 | বলে দাও-হে মানবকুল, তোমরা যদি আমার দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে সন্দিহান হয়ে থাক, তবে (জেনো) আমি তাদের এবাদত করি না যাদের এবাদত তোমরা কর আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। কিন্তু আমি এবাদত করি আল্লাহ ত’য়ালার, যিনি তুলে নেন তোমাদেরকে। আর আমার প্রতি নির্দেশ হয়েছে যাতে আমি ঈমানদারদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকি। Say: "O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, (behold!) I worship not what ye worship, other than Allah! But I worship Allah - Who will take your souls (at death): I am commanded to be (in the ranks) of the Believers, |

| 91 | আর যেন সোজা দ্বীনের প্রতি মুখ করি সরল হয়ে এবং যেন মুশরেকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত না হই। "And further (thus): 'set thy face towards religion with true piety, and never in any wise be of the Unbelievers; |

| 92 | আর নির্দেশ হয়েছে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন কাউকে ডাকবে না, যে তোমার ভাল করবে না মন্দও করবে না। বস্তুতঃ তুমি যদি এমন কাজ কর, তাহলে তখন তুমিও জালেমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাবে। "'Nor call on any, other than Allah;- Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.'" |

| 93 | জেনে রাখ, নিশ্চয়ই তারা নিজেদের বক্ষদেশ ঘুরিয়ে দেয় যেন আল্লাহর নিকট হতে লুকাতে পারে। শুন, তারা তখন কাপড়ে নিজেদেরকে আচ্ছাদিত করে, তিনি তখনও জানেন যা কিছু তারা চুপিসারে বলে আর প্রকাশ্যভাবে বলে। নিশ্চয় তিনি জানেন যা কিছু অন্তর সমূহে নিহিত রয়েছে। Behold! they fold up their hearts, that they may lie hid from Him! Ah even when they cover themselves with their garments, He knoweth what they conceal, and what they reveal: for He knoweth well the (inmost secrets) of the hearts. |

| 94 | আর নূহ (আঃ) তাঁর পালনকর্তাকে ডেকে বললেন-হে পরওয়ারদেগার, আমার পুত্র তো আমার পরিজনদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত; আর আপনার ওয়াদাও নিঃসন্দেহে সত্য আর আপনিই সর্বাপেক্ষা বিজ্ঞ ফয়সালাকারী। And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: "O my Lord! surely my son is of my family! and Thy promise is true, and Thou art the justest of Judges!" |

| 95 | ইব্রাহীম (আঃ) বড়ই ধৈর্য্যশীল, কোমল অন্তর, আল্লাহমুখী সন্দেহ নেই। For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to Allah. |

| 96 | আর আমি রসূলগণের সব বৃত্তান্তই তোমাকে বলছি, যদ্দ্বারা তোমার অন্তরকে মজবুত করছি। আর এভাবে তোমার নিকট মহাসত্য এবং ঈমানদারদের জন্য নসীহত ও স্বরণীয় বিষয়বস্তু এসেছে। All that we relate to thee of the stories of the messengers,- with it We make firm thy heart: in them there cometh to thee the Truth, as well as an exhortation and a message of remembrance to those who believe. |

| 97 | আমি তোমার নিকট উত্তম কাহিনী বর্ণনা করেছি, যেমতে আমি এ কোরআন তোমার নিকট অবতীর্ণ করেছি। তুমি এর আগে অবশ্যই এ ব্যাপারে অনবহিতদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিলে। We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not. |

| 98 | ইউসুফ বললঃ হে পালনকর্তা তারা আমাকে যে কাজের দিকে আহবান করে, তার চাইতে আমি কারাগারই পছন্দ করি। যদি আপনি তাদের চক্রান্ত আমার উপর থেকে প্রতিহত না করেন, তবে আমি তাদের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট হয়ে পড়ব এবং অজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যাব। He said: "O my Lord! the prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me: Unless Thou turn away their snare from me, I should (in my youthful folly) feel inclined towards them and join the ranks of the ignorant." |

| 99 | বলে দিনঃ এই আমার পথ। আমি আল্লাহর দিকে বুঝে সুঝে দাওয়াত দেই আমি এবং আমার অনুসারীরা। আল্লাহ পবিত্র। আমি অংশীবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত নই। Say thou: "This is my way: I do invite unto Allah,- on evidence clear as the seeing with one's eyes,- I and whoever follows me. Glory to Allah! and never will I join gods with Allah!" |

| 100 | যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং তাদের অন্তর আল্লাহর যিকির দ্বারা শান্তি লাভ করে; জেনে রাখ, আল্লাহর যিকির দ্বারাই অন্তর সমূহ শান্তি পায়। "Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. |

| 101 | হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমি নিজের এক সন্তানকে তোমার পবিত্র গৃহের সন্নিকটে চাষাবাদহীন উপত্যকায় আবাদ করেছি; হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যাতে তারা নামায কায়েম রাখে। অতঃপর আপনি কিছু লোকের অন্তরকে তাদের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট করুন এবং তাদেরকে ফলাদি দ্বারা রুযী দান করুন, সম্ভবতঃ তারা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করবে "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits: so that they may give thanks. |

| 102 | তারা মস্তক উপরে তুলে ভীত-বিহবল চিত্তে দৌড়াতে থাকবে। তাদের দিকে তাদের দৃষ্টি ফিরে আসবে না এবং তাদের অন্তর উড়ে যাবে। They running forward with necks outstretched, their heads uplifted, their gaze returning not towards them, and their hearts a (gaping) void! |

| 103 | এমনিভাবে আমি এ ধরনের আচরণ পাপীদের অন্তরে বদ্ধমূল করে দেই। Even so do we let it creep into the hearts of the sinners - |

| 104 | কিন্তু ইবলীস-সে সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হল না। Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. |

| 105 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ হে ইবলিস, তোমার কি হলো যে তুমি সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হতে স্বীকৃত হলে না? (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" |

| 106 | তাদের অন্তরে যে ক্রোধ ছিল, আমি তা দূর করে দেব। তারা ভাই ভাইয়ের মত সামনা-সামনি আসনে বসবে। And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity). |

| 107 | অতএব আপনি পালনকর্তার সৌন্দর্য স্মরণ করুন এবং সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যান। But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. |

| 108 | আমাদের ইলাহ একক ইলাহ। অনন্তর যারা পরজীবনে বিশ্বাস করে না, তাদের অন্তর সত্যবিমুখ এবং তারা অহংকার প্রদর্শন করেছে। Your Allah is one Allah: as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant. |

| 109 | আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের মায়ের গর্ভ থেকে বের করেছেন। তোমরা কিছুই জানতে না। তিনি তোমাদেরকে কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও অন্তর দিয়েছেন, যাতে তোমরা অনুগ্রহ স্বীকার কর। It is He Who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when ye knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affections: that ye may give thanks (to Allah). |

| 110 | তারা কি উড়ন্ত পাখীকে দেখে না? এগুলো আকাশের অন্তরীক্ষে আজ্ঞাধীন রয়েছে। আল্লাহ ছাড়া কেউ এগুলোকে আগলে রাখে না। নিশ্চয় এতে বিশ্বাসীদের জন্যে নিদর্শনবলী রয়েছে। Do they not look at the birds, held poised in the midst of (the air and) the sky? Nothing holds them up but (the power of) Allah. Verily in this are signs for those who believe. |

| 111 | যার উপর জবরদস্তি করা হয় এবং তার অন্তর বিশ্বাসে অটল থাকে সে ব্যতীত যে কেউ বিশ্বাসী হওয়ার পর আল্লাহতে অবিশ্বাসী হয় এবং কুফরীর জন্য মন উম্মুক্ত করে দেয় তাদের উপর আপতিত হবে আল্লাহর গযব এবং তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে শাস্তি। Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty. |

| 112 | এরাই তারা, আল্লাহ তা’য়ালা এদেরই অন্তর, কর্ণ ও চক্ষুর উপর মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং এরাই কান্ড জ্ঞানহীন। Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. |

| 113 | নিশ্চয় ইব্রাহীম ছিলেন এক সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতীক, সবকিছু থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে এক আল্লাহরই অনুগত এবং তিনি শেরককারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন না। Abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, (and) true in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah: |

| 114 | আমি তাঁকে দুনিয়াতে দান করেছি কল্যাণ এবং তিনি পরকালেও সৎকর্মশীলদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত। And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. |

| 115 | অতঃপর আপনার প্রতি প্রত্যাদেশ প্রেরণ করেছি যে, ইব্রাহীমের দ্বীন অনুসরণ করুন, যিনি একনিষ্ঠ ছিলেন এবং শিরককারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিলেন না। So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah." |

| 116 | এটা ঐ হিকমতের অন্তর্ভূক্ত, যা আপনার পালনকর্তা আপনাকে ওহী মারফত দান করেছেন। আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য স্থির করবেন না। তাহলে অভিযুক্ত ও আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ থেকে বিতাড়িত অবস্থায় জাহান্নামে নিক্ষিপ্ত হবেন। These are among the (precepts of) wisdom, which thy Lord has revealed to thee. Take not, with Allah, another object of worship, lest thou shouldst be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল: আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 117 | আমি তাদের অন্তরের উপর আবরণ রেখে দেই, যাতে তারা একে উপলব্ধি করতে না পারে এবং তাদের কর্ণকুহরে বোঝা চাপিয়ে দেই। যখন আপনি কোরআনে পালনকর্তার একত্ব আবৃত্তি করেন, তখন ও অনীহাবশতঃ ওরা পৃষ্ট প্রদর্শন করে চলে যায়। And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth). |

| 118 | তার চাইতে অধিক জালেম কে, যাকে তার পালনকর্তার কালাম দ্বারা বোঝানো হয়, অতঃপর সে তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং তার পূর্ববর্তী কৃতকর্মসমূহ ভুলে যায়? আমি তাদের অন্তরের উপর পর্দা রেখে দিয়েছি, যেন তা না বোঝে এবং তাদের কানে রয়েছে বধিরতার বোঝা। যদি আপনি তাদেরকে সৎপথের প্রতি দাওয়াত দেন, তবে কখনই তারা সৎপথে আসবে না। And who doth more wrong than one who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord, but turns away from them, forgetting the (deeds) which his hands have sent forth? Verily We have set veils over their hearts lest they should understand this, and over their ears, deafness, if thou callest them to guidance, even then will they never accept guidance. |

| 119 | এমনিভাবে আমি আরবী ভাষায় কোরআন নাযিল করেছি এবং এতে নানাভাবে সতর্কবাণী ব্যক্ত করেছি, যাতে তারা আল্লাহভীরু হয় অথবা তাদের অন্তরে চিন্তার খোরাক যোগায়। Thus have We sent this down - an arabic Qur'an - and explained therein in detail some of the warnings, in order that they may fear Allah, or that it may cause their remembrance (of Him). |

| 120 | তাদের অন্তর থাকে খেলায় মত্ত। জালেমরা গোপনে পরামর্শ করে, সে তো তোমাদেরই মত একজন মানুষ; এমতাবস্থায় দেখে শুনে তোমরা তার যাদুর কবলে কেন পড়? Their hearts toying as with trifles. The wrong-doers conceal their private counsels, (saying), "Is this (one) more than a man like yourselves? Will ye go to witchcraft with your eyes open?" |

| 121 | আমি তাকে আমার অনুগ্রহের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছিলাম। সে ছিল সৎকর্মশীলদের একজন। And We admitted him to Our Mercy: for he was one of the Righteous. |
(আম্বিয়া: আয়াতঃ ৭৫) |
| 122 | আমি তাঁদেরকে আমার রহমাতপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত করেছিলাম। তাঁরা ছিলেন সৎকর্মপরায়ণ। We admitted them to Our mercy: for they were of the righteous ones. |
(আম্বিয়া: আয়াতঃ ৮৬) |
| 123 | যাদের অন্তর আল্লাহর নাম স্মরণ করা হলে ভীত হয় এবং যারা তাদের বিপদাপদে ধৈর্য্যধারণ করে এবং যারা নামায কায়েম করে ও আমি যা দিয়েছি, তা থেকে ব্যয় করে। To those whose hearts when Allah is mentioned, are filled with fear, who show patient perseverance over their afflictions, keep up regular prayer, and spend (in charity) out of what We have bestowed upon them. |
(হাজ্জ্ব: আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |
| 124 | তারা কি এই উদ্দেশ্যে দেশ ভ্রমণ করেনি, যাতে তারা সমঝদার হৃদয় ও শ্রবণ শক্তি সম্পন্ন কর্ণের অধিকারী হতে পারে? বস্তুতঃ চক্ষু তো অন্ধ হয় না, কিন্তু বক্ষ স্থিত অন্তরই অন্ধ হয়। Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and minds) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts. |

| 125 | এ কারণে যে, শয়তান যা মিশ্রণ করে, তিনি তা পরীক্ষাস্বরূপ করে দেন, তাদের জন্যে, যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে এবং যারা পাষাণহৃদয়। গোনাহগাররা দূরবর্তী বিরোধিতায় লিপ্ত আছে। That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrong-doers are in a schism far (from the Truth): |

| 126 | এবং এ কারণেও যে, যাদেরকে জ্ঞানদান করা হয়েছে; তারা যেন জানে যে এটা আপনার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে সত্য; অতঃপর তারা যেন এতে বিশ্বাস স্তাপন করে এবং তাদের অন্তর যেন এর প্রতি বিজয়ী হয়। আল্লাহই বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারীকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেন। And that those on whom knowledge has been bestowed may learn that the (Qur'an) is the Truth from thy Lord, and that they may believe therein, and their hearts may be made humbly (open) to it: for verily Allah is the Guide of those who believe, to the Straight Way. |

| 127 | না, তাদের অন্তর এ বিষয়ে অজ্ঞানতায় আচ্ছন্ন, এ ছাড়া তাদের আরও কাজ রয়েছে, যা তারা করছে। But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- |

| 128 | হে আমার পালনকর্তা! তবে আপনি আমাকে গোনাহগার সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভূক্ত করবেন না। "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" |
(আল মু'মিনূন: আয়াতঃ ৯৪) |
| 129 | এমন লোকেরা, যাদেরকে ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য ও ক্রয়-বিক্রয় আল্লাহর স্মরণ থেকে, নামায কায়েম করা থেকে এবং যাকাত প্রদান করা থেকে বিরত রাখে না। তারা ভয় করে সেই দিনকে, যেদিন অন্তর ও দৃষ্টিসমূহ উল্টে যাবে। By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new),- |

| 130 | তাদের অন্তরে কি রোগ আছে, না তারা ধোঁকায় পড়ে আছে; না তারা ভয় করে যে, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূল তাদের প্রতি অবিচার করবেন? বরং তারাই তো অবিচারকারী ? Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? or do they doubt, or are they in fear, that Allah and His Messenger will deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong. |
(আন-নূর: আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 131 | যারা আমার সাক্ষাৎ আশা করে না, তারা বলে, আমাদের কাছে ফেরেশতা অবতীর্ণ করা হল না কেন? অথবা আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তাকে দেখি না কেন? তারা নিজেদের অন্তরে অহংকার পোষণ করে এবং গুরুতর অবাধ্যতায় মেতে উঠেছে। Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety! |

| 132 | তিনিই সমান্তরালে দুই সমুদ্র প্রবাহিত করেছেন, এটি মিষ্ট, তৃষ্ণা নিবারক ও এটি লোনা, বিস্বাদ; উভয়ের মাঝখানে রেখেছেন একটি অন্তরায়, একটি দুর্ভেদ্য আড়াল। It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. |

| 133 | তিনি নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের অন্তর্বর্তী সবকিছু ছয়দিনে সৃস্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর আরশে সমাসীন হয়েছেন। তিনি পরম দয়াময়। তাঁর সম্পর্কে যিনি অবগত, তাকে জিজ্ঞেস কর। He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things). |

| 134 | ফেরাউন বলল, হঁ্যা এবং তখন তোমরা আমার নৈকট্যশীলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে। He said: "Yea, (and more),- for ye shall in that case be (raised to posts) nearest (to my person)." |

| 135 | হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে প্রজ্ঞা দান কর এবং আমাকে সৎকর্মশীলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত কর "O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous; |

| 136 | এবং আমাকে নেয়ামত উদ্যানের অধিকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত কর। "Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; |

| 137 | কিন্তু যে সুস্থ অন্তর নিয়ে আল্লাহর কাছে আসবে। "But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart; |

| 138 | এক বৃদ্ধা ব্যতীত, সে ছিল ধ্বংস প্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। Except an old woman who lingered behind. |
(আশ-শো'আরা: আয়াতঃ ১৭১) |
| 139 | মাপ পূর্ণ কর এবং যারা পরিমাপে কম দেয়, তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না। "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). |

| 140 | তুমি আমাদের মত মানুষ বৈ তো নও। আমাদের ধারণা-তুমি মিথ্যাবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! |

| 141 | আপনার অন্তরে, যাতে আপনি ভীতি প্রদর্শণকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হন, To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. |

| 142 | এমনিভাবে আমি গোনাহগারদের অন্তরে অবিশ্বাস সঞ্চার করেছি। Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. |
(আশ-শো'আরা: আয়াতঃ ২০০) |
| 143 | তারা অন্যায় ও অহংকার করে নিদর্শনাবলীকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল, যদিও তাদের অন্তর এগুলো সত্য বলে বিশ্বাস করেছিল। অতএব দেখুন, অনর্থকারীদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছিল? And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! |

| 144 | তার কথা শুনে সুলায়মান মুচকি হাসলেন এবং বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, তুমি আমাকে সামর্থ?2470;াও যাতে আমি তোমার সেই নিয়ামতের কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে পারি, যা তুমি আমাকে ও আমার পিতা-মাতাকে দান করেছ এবং যাতে আমি তোমার পছন্দনীয় সৎকর্ম করতে পারি এবং আমাকে নিজ অনুগ্রহে তোমার সৎকর্মপরায়ন বান্দাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত কর। So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants." |

| 145 | সুলায়মান বললেন, বিলকীসের সামনে তার সিংহাসনের আকার-আকৃতি বদলিয়ে দাও, দেখব সে সঠিক বুঝতে পারে, না সে তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত, যাদের দিশা নেই ? He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance." |
(নমল: আয়াতঃ ৪১) |
| 146 | আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে সে যার এবাদত করত, সেই তাকে ঈমান থেকে নিবৃত্ত করেছিল। নিশ্চয় সে কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল। And he diverted her from the worship of others besides Allah: for she was (sprung) of a people that had no faith. |

| 147 | বল তো কে পৃথিবীকে বাসোপযোগী করেছেন এবং তার মাঝে মাঝে নদ-নদী প্রবাহিত করেছেন এবং তাকে স্থিত রাখার জন্যে পর্বত স্থাপন করেছেন এবং দুই সমুদ্রের মাঝখানে অন্তরায় রেখেছেন। অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? বরং তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না। Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not. |

| 148 | তাদের অন্তর যা গোপন করে এবং যা প্রকাশ করে আপনার পালনকর্তা অবশ্যই তা জানেন। And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. |

| 149 | সকালে মূসা জননীর অন্তর অস্থির হয়ে পড়ল। যদি আমি তাঁর হৃদয়কে দৃঢ় করে না দিতাম, তবে তিনি মূসাজনিত অস্থিরতা প্রকাশ করেই দিতেন। দৃঢ় করলাম, যাতে তিনি থাকেন বিশ্ববাসীগণের মধ্যে। But there came to be a void in the heart of the mother of Moses: She was going almost to disclose his (case), had We not strengthened her heart (with faith), so that she might remain a (firm) believer. |

| 150 | তাদের অন্তর যা গোপন করে এবং যা প্রকাশ করে, আপনার পালনকর্তা তা জানেন। And thy Lord knows all that their hearts conceal and all that they reveal. |

| 151 | কাফেররা যেন আপনাকে আল্লাহর আয়াত থেকে বিমুখ না করে সেগুলো আপনার প্রতি অবর্তীর্ণ হওয়ার পর আপনি আপনার পালনকর্তার প্রতি দাওয়াত দিন এবং কিছুতেই মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। And let nothing keep thee back from the Signs of Allah after they have been revealed to thee: and invite (men) to thy Lord, and be not of the company of those who join gods with Allah. |

| 152 | যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকাজ করে, আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করব। And those who believe and work righteous deeds,- them shall We admit to the company of the Righteous. |

| 153 | কতক লোক বলে, আমরা আল্লাহর উপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি; কিন্তু আল্লাহর পথে যখন তারা নির্যাতিত হয়, তখন তারা মানুষের নির্যাতনকে আল্লাহর আযাবের মত মনে করে। যখন আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে কোন সাহায্য আসে তখন তারা বলতে থাকে, আমরা তো তোমাদের সাথেই ছিলাম। বিশ্ববাসীর অন্তরে যা আছে, আল্লাহ কি তা সম্যক অবগত নন? Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation? |

| 154 | তোমরা স্থলে ও অন্তরীক্ষে আল্লাহকে অপারগ করতে পারবে না এবং আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন হিতাকাঙ্খী নেই, সাহায্যকারীও নেই। "Not on earth nor in heaven will ye be able (fleeing) to frustrate (his Plan), nor have ye, besides Allah, any protector or helper." |

| 155 | আমি তাকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুব, তাঁর বংশধরদের মধ্যে নবুওয়ত ও কিতাব রাখলাম এবং দুনিয়াতে তাঁকে পুরস্কৃত করলাম। নিশ্চয় পরকালে ও সে সৎলোকদর অন্তর্ভূক্ত হবে। And We gave (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob, and ordained among his progeny Prophethood and Revelation, and We granted him his reward in this life; and he was in the Hereafter (of the company) of the Righteous. |

| 156 | সে বলল, এই জনপদে তো লূতও রয়েছে। তারা বলল, সেখানে কে আছে, তা আমরা ভাল জানি। আমরা অবশ্যই তাকে ও তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে রক্ষা করব তাঁর স্ত্রী ব্যতীত; সে ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত থাকবে। He said: "But there is Lut there." They said: "Well do we know who is there: we will certainly save him and his following,- except his wife: she is of those who lag behind!" |

| 157 | যখন আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ লূতের কাছে আগমন করল, তখন তাদের কারণে সে বিষন্ন হয়ে পড়ল এবং তার মন সংকীর্ণ হয়ে গেল। তারা বলল, ভয় করবেন না এবং দুঃখ করবেন না। আমরা আপনাকে ও আপনার পরিবারবর্গকে রক্ষা করবই আপনার স্ত্রী ব্যতীত, সে ধ্বংস প্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত থাকবে। And when Our Messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (to protect) them: but they said: "Fear thou not, nor grieve: we are (here) to save thee and thy following, except thy wife: she is of those who lag behind. |

| 158 | বরং যাদেরকে জ্ঞান দেয়া হয়েছে, তাদের অন্তরে ইহা (কোরআন) তো স্পষ্ট আয়াত। কেবল বে-ইনসাফরাই আমার আয়াতসমূহ অস্বীকার করে। Nay, here are Signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: and none but the unjust reject Our Signs. |

| 159 | সবাই তাঁর অভিমুখী হও এবং ভয় কর, নামায কায়েম কর এবং মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না। Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with Allah,- |

| 160 | মানুষের ধন-সম্পদে তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ বৃদ্ধি পাবে, এই আশায় তোমরা সুদে যা কিছু দাও, আল্লাহর কাছে তা বৃদ্ধি পায় না। পক্ষান্তরে, আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের আশায় পবিত্র অন্তরে যারা দিয়ে থাকে, অতএব, তারাই দ্বিগুণ লাভ করে। That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied. |

| 161 | যে ব্যক্তি কুফরী করে তার কুফরী যেন আপনাকে চিন্তিত না করে। আমারই দিকে তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন, অতঃপর আমি তাদের কর্ম সম্পর্কে তাদেরকে অবহিত করব। অন্তরে যা কিছু রয়েছে, সে সম্পর্কে আল্লাহ সবিশেষ পরিজ্ঞাত। But if any reject Faith, let not his rejection grieve thee: to Us is their return, and We shall tell them the truth of their deeds: for Allah knows well all that is in (men's) hearts. |

| 162 | এবং যখন মুনাফিক ও যাদের অন্তরে রোগ ছিল তারা বলছিল, আমাদেরকে প্রদত্ত আল্লাহ ও রসূলের প্রতিশ্রুতি প্রতারণা বৈ নয়। And behold! The Hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (even) say: "Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion!" |

| 163 | কিতাবীদের মধ্যে যারা কাফেরদের পৃষ্টপোষকতা করেছিল, তাদেরকে তিনি তাদের দূর্গ থেকে নামিয়ে দিলেন এবং তাদের অন্তরে ভীতি নিক্ষেপ করলেন। ফলে তোমরা একদলকে হত্যা করছ এবং একদলকে বন্দী করছ। And those of the People of the Book who aided them - Allah did take them down from their strongholds and cast terror into their hearts. (So that) some ye slew, and some ye made prisoners. |

| 164 | হে নবী পত্নীগণ! তোমরা অন্য নারীদের মত নও; যদি তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, তবে পরপুরুষের সাথে কোমল ও আকর্ষনীয় ভঙ্গিতে কথা বলো না, ফলে সেই ব্যক্তি কুবাসনা করে, যার অন্তরে ব্যাধি রয়েছে তোমরা সঙ্গত কথাবার্তা বলবে। O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just. |

| 165 | আল্লাহ যাকে অনুগ্রহ করেছেন; আপনিও যাকে অনুগ্রহ করেছেন; তাকে যখন আপনি বলেছিলেন, তোমার স্ত্রীকে তোমার কাছেই থাকতে দাও এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। আপনি অন্তরে এমন বিষয় গোপন করছিলেন, যা আল্লাহ পাক প্রকাশ করে দেবেন আপনি লোকনিন্দার ভয় করেছিলেন অথচ আল্লাহকেই অধিক ভয় করা উচিত। অতঃপর যায়েদ যখন যয়নবের সাথে সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করল, তখন আমি তাকে আপনার সাথে বিবাহবন্ধনে আবদ্ধ করলাম যাতে মুমিনদের পোষ্যপুত্ররা তাদের স্ত্রীর সাথে সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করলে সেসব স্ত্রীকে বিবাহ করার ব্যাপারে মুমিনদের কোন অসুবিধা না থাকে। আল্লাহর নির্দেশ কার্যে পরিণত হয়েই থাকে। Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled. |

| 166 | আপনি তাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা দূরে রাখতে পারেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা কাছে রাখতে পারেন। আপনি যাকে দূরে রেখেছেন, তাকে কামনা করলে তাতে আপনার কোন দোষ নেই। এতে অধিক সম্ভাবনা আছে যে, তাদের চক্ষু শীতল থাকবে; তারা দুঃখ পাবে না এবং আপনি যা দেন, তাতে তারা সকলেই সন্তুষ্ট থাকবে। তোমাদের অন্তরে যা আছে, আল্লাহ জানেন। আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, সহনশীল। Thou mayest defer (the turn of) any of them that thou pleasest, and thou mayest receive any thou pleasest: and there is no blame on thee if thou invite one whose (turn) thou hadst set aside. This were nigher to the cooling of their eyes, the prevention of their grief, and their satisfaction - that of all of them - with that which thou hast to give them: and Allah knows (all) that is in your hearts: and Allah is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing. |

| 167 | হে মুমিনগণ! তোমাদেরকে অনুমতি দেয়া না হলে তোমরা খাওয়ার জন্য আহার্য রন্ধনের অপেক্ষা না করে নবীর গৃহে প্রবেশ করো না। তবে তোমরা আহুত হলে প্রবেশ করো, তবে অতঃপর খাওয়া শেষে আপনা আপনি চলে যেয়ো, কথাবার্তায় মশগুল হয়ে যেয়ো না। নিশ্চয় এটা নবীর জন্য কষ্টদায়ক। তিনি তোমাদের কাছে সংকোচ বোধ করেন; কিন্তু আল্লাহ সত্যকথা বলতে সংকোচ করেন না। তোমরা তাঁর পত্নীগণের কাছে কিছু চাইলে পর্দার আড়াল থেকে চাইবে। এটা তোমাদের অন্তরের জন্যে এবং তাঁদের অন্তরের জন্যে অধিকতর পবিত্রতার কারণ। আল্লাহর রাসূলকে কষ্ট দেয়া এবং তাঁর ওফাতের পর তাঁর পত্নীগণকে বিবাহ করা তোমাদের জন্য বৈধ নয়। আল্লাহর কাছে এটা গুরুতর অপরাধ। O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity. |

| 168 | মুনাফিকরা এবং যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে এবং মদীনায় গুজব রটনাকারীরা যদি বিরত না হয়, তবে আমি অবশ্যই তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আপনাকে উত্তেজিত করব। অতঃপর এই শহরে আপনার প্রতিবেশী অল্পই থাকবে। Truly, if the Hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and those who stir up sedition in the City, desist not, We shall certainly stir thee up against them: Then will they not be able to stay in it as thy neighbours for any length of time: |

| 169 | তাদের ও তাদের বাসনার মধ্যে অন্তরাল হয়ে গেছে, যেমন-তাদের সতীর্থদের সাথেও এরূপ করা হয়েছে, যারা তাদের পূর্বে ছিল। তারা ছিল বিভ্রান্তিকর সন্দেহে পতিত। And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their partisans: for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt. |

| 170 | আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমীনের অদৃশ্য বিষয় সম্পর্কে জ্ঞাত। তিনি অন্তরের বিষয় সম্পর্কেও সবিশেষ অবহিত। Verily Allah knows (all) the hidden things of the heavens and the earth: verily He has full knowledge of all that is in (men's) hearts. |

| 171 | যে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার আমাকে ক্ষমা করেছেন এবং আমাকে সম্মানিতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন। "For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!" |

| 172 | সে ছিল আমার বিশ্বাসী বান্দাদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত। For he was one of our believing Servants. |

| 173 | আর তারা আমার কাছে মনোনীত ও সৎলোকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. |

| 174 | কিন্তু ইবলীস; সে অহংকার করল এবং অস্বীকারকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেল। Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. |

| 175 | যদি তোমরা অস্বীকার কর, তবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের থেকে বেপরওয়া। তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের কাফের হয়ে পড়া পছন্দ করেন না। পক্ষান্তরে যদি তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞ হও, তবে তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে তা পছন্দ করেন। একের পাপ ভার অন্যে বহন করবে না। অতঃপর তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে ফিরে যাবে। তিনি তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের কর্ম সম্বন্ধে অবহিত করবেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি অন্তরের বিষয় সম্পর্কেও অবগত। If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts. |

| 176 | যখন মানুষকে দুঃখ-কষ্ট স্পর্শ করে, তখন সে একাগ্রচিত্তে তার পালনকর্তাকে ডাকে, অতঃপর তিনি যখন তাকে নেয়ামত দান করেন, তখন সে কষ্টের কথা বিস্মৃত হয়ে যায়, যার জন্যে পূর্বে ডেকেছিল এবং আল্লাহর সমকক্ষ স্থির করে; যাতে করে অপরকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিভ্রান্ত করে। বলুন, তুমি তোমার কুফর সহকারে কিছুকাল জীবনোপভোগ করে নাও। নিশ্চয় তুমি জাহান্নামীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত। When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!" |

| 177 | আল্লাহ যার বক্ষ ইসলামের জন্যে উম্মুক্ত করে দিয়েছেন, অতঃপর সে তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত আলোর মাঝে রয়েছে। (সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ নয়) যাদের অন্তর আল্লাহ স্মরণের ব্যাপারে কঠোর, তাদের জন্যে দূর্ভোগ। তারা সুস্পষ্ঠ গোমরাহীতে রয়েছে। Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received Enlightenment from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against celebrating the praises of Allah! they are manifestly wandering (in error)! |

| 178 | আল্লাহ উত্তম বাণী তথা কিতাব নাযিল করেছেন, যা সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ, পূনঃ পূনঃ পঠিত। এতে তাদের লোম কাঁটা দিয়ে উঠে চামড়ার উপর, যারা তাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় করে, এরপর তাদের চামড়া ও অন্তর আল্লাহর স্মরণে বিনম্র হয়। এটাই আল্লাহর পথ নির্দেশ, এর মাধ্যমে আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথ প্রদর্শন করেন। আর আল্লাহ যাকে গোমরাহ করেন, তার কোন পথপ্রদর্শক নেই। Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide. |

| 179 | যখন খাঁটিভাবে আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়, তখন যারা পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে না, তাদের অন্তর সংকুচিত হয়ে যায়, আর যখন আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য উপাস্যদের নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়, তখন তারা আনন্দে উল্লসিত হয়ে উঠে। When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy! |

| 180 | যাতে কেউ না বলে, হায়, হায়, আল্লাহ সকাশে আমি কর্তব্যে অবহেলা করেছি এবং আমি ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিলাম। "Lest the soul should (then) say: 'Ah! Woe is me!- In that I neglected (my duty) towards Allah, and was but among those who mocked!'- |

| 181 | হাঁ, তোমার কাছে আমার নির্দেশ এসেছিল; অতঃপর তুমি তাকে মিথ্যা বলেছিলে, অহংকার করেছিলে এবং কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গিয়েছিলে। "(The reply will be:) 'Nay, but there came to thee my Signs, and thou didst reject them: thou wast Haughty, and became one of those who reject faith!'" |

| 182 | বরং আল্লাহরই এবাদত করুন এবং কৃতজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকুন। Nay, but worship Allah, and be of those who give thanks. |

| 183 | চোখের চুরি এবং অন্তরের গোপন বিষয় তিনি জানেন। (Allah) knows of (the tricks) that deceive with the eyes, and all that the hearts (of men) conceal. |

| 184 | যারা নিজেদের কাছে আগত কোন দলীল ছাড়াই আল্লাহর আয়াত সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে, তাদের একজন আল্লাহ ও মুমিনদের কাছে খুবই অসন্তোষজনক। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ প্রত্যেক অহংকারী-স্বৈরাচারী ব্যক্তির অন্তরে মোহর এঁটে দেন। "(Such) as dispute about the Signs of Allah, without any authority that hath reached them, grievous and odious (is such conduct) in the sight of Allah and of the Believers. Thus doth Allah, seal up every heart - of arrogant and obstinate Transgressors." |

| 185 | নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর আয়াত সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে তাদের কাছে আগত কোন দলীল ব্যতিরেকে, তাদের অন্তরে আছে কেবল আত্নম্ভরিতা, যা অর্জনে তারা সফল হবে না। অতএব, আপনি আল্লাহর আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করুন। নিশ্চয় তিনি সবকিছু শুনেন, সবকিছু দেখেন। Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them,- there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah: It is He Who hears and sees (all things). |

| 186 | তারা বলে আপনি যে বিষয়ের দিকে আমাদের কে দাওয়াত দেন, সে বিষয়ে আমাদের অন্তর আবরণে আবৃত, আমাদের কর্ণে আছে বোঝা এবং আমাদের ও আপনার মাঝখানে আছে অন্তরাল। অতএব, আপনি আপনার কাজ করুন এবং আমরা আমাদের কাজ করি। They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)" |

| 187 | তোমাদের পালনকর্তা সম্বন্ধে তোমাদের এ ধারণাই তোমাদেরকে ধ্বংস করেছে। ফলে তোমরা ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেছ। "But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!" |

| 188 | সমান নয় ভাল ও মন্দ। জওয়াবে তাই বলুন যা উৎকৃষ্ট। তখন দেখবেন আপনার সাথে যে ব্যক্তির শুত্রুতা রয়েছে, সে যেন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু। Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! |

| 189 | নাকি তারা একথা বলে যে, তিনি আল্লাহর বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা রটনা করেছেন? আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আপনার অন্তরে মোহর এঁটে দিতেন। বস্তুতঃ তিনি মিথ্যাকে মিটিয়ে দেন এবং নিজ বাক্য দ্বারা সত্যকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি অন্তর্নিহিত বিষয় সম্পর্কে সর্বিশেষ জ্ঞাত। What! Do they say, "He has forged a falsehood against Allah"? But if Allah willed, He could seal up thy heart. And Allah blots out Vanity, and proves the Truth by His Words. For He knows well the secrets of all hearts. |

| 190 | কোন মানুষের জন্য এমন হওয়ার নয় যে, আল্লাহ তার সাথে কথা বলবেন। কিন্তু ওহীর মাধ্যমে অথবা পর্দার অন্তরাল থেকে অথবা তিনি কোন দূত প্রেরণ করবেন, অতঃপর আল্লাহ যা চান, সে তা তাঁর অনুমতিক্রমে পৌঁছে দেবে। নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বোচ্চ প্রজ্ঞাময়। It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with Allah's permission, what Allah wills: for He is Most High, Most Wise. |

| 191 | আপনি কি তার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করেছেন, যে তার খেয়াল-খুশীকে স্বীয় উপাস্য স্থির করেছে? আল্লাহ জেনে শুনে তাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছেন, তার কান ও অন্তরে মহর এঁটে দিয়েছেন এবং তার চোখের উপর রেখেছেন পর্দা। অতএব, আল্লাহর পর কে তাকে পথ প্রদর্শন করবে? তোমরা কি চিন্তাভাবনা কর না? Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn Guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition? |

| 192 | তাদের মধ্যে কতক আপনার দিকে কান পাতে, অতঃপর যখন আপনার কাছ থেকে বাইরে যায়, তখন যারা শিক্ষিত, তাদেরকে বলেঃ এইমাত্র তিনি কি বললেন ? এদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং তারা নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে। And among them are men who listen to thee, but in the end, when they go out from thee, they say to those who have received Knowledge, "What is it he said just then?" Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own lusts. |

| 193 | যারা মুমিন, তারা বলেঃ একটি সূরা নাযিল হয় না কেন? অতঃপর যখন কোন দ্ব্যর্থহীন সূরা নাযিল হয় এবং তাতে জেহাদের উল্লেখ করা হয়, তখন যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, আপনি তাদেরকে মৃত্যুভয়ে মূর্ছাপ্রাপ্ত মানুষের মত আপনার দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতে দেখবেন। সুতরাং ধ্বংস তাদের জন্যে। Those who believe say, "Why is not a sura sent down (for us)?" But when a sura of basic or categorical meaning is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein, thou wilt see those in whose hearts is a disease looking at thee with a look of one in swoon at the approach of death. But more fitting for them- |

| 194 | তারা কি কোরআন সম্পর্কে গভীর চিন্তা করে না? না তাদের অন্তর তালাবদ্ধ? Do they not then earnestly seek to understand the Qur'an, or are their hearts locked up by them? |

| 195 | যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, তারা কি মনে করে যে, আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরের বিদ্বেষ প্রকাশ করে দেবেন না? Or do those in whose hearts is a disease, think that Allah will not bring to light all their rancour? |

| 196 | তিনি মুমিনদের অন্তরে প্রশান্তি নাযিল করেন, যাতে তাদের ঈমানের সাথে আরও ঈমান বেড়ে যায়। নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের বাহিনীসমূহ আল্লাহরই এবং আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়। It is He Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the Believers, that they may add faith to their faith;- for to Allah belong the Forces of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom;- |

| 197 | মরুবাসীদের মধ্যে যারা গৃহে বসে রয়েছে, তারা আপনাকে বলবেঃ আমরা আমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও পরিবার-পরিজনের কাজে ব্যস্ত ছিলাম। অতএব, আমাদের পাপ মার্জনা করান। তারা মুখে এমন কথা বলবে, যা তাদের অন্তরে নেই। বলুনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদের ক্ষতি অথবা উপকার সাধনের ইচ্ছা করলে কে তাকে বিরত রাখতে পারে? বরং তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ সে বিষয় পরিপূর্ণ জ্ঞাত। The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee: "We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds, and our families: do thou then ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. |

| 198 | আল্লাহ মুমিনদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হলেন, যখন তারা বৃক্ষের নীচে আপনার কাছে শপথ করল। আল্লাহ অবগত ছিলেন যা তাদের অন্তরে ছিল। অতঃপর তিনি তাদের প্রতি প্রশান্তি নাযিল করলেন এবং তাদেরকে আসন্ন বিজয় পুরস্কার দিলেন। Allah's Good Pleasure was on the Believers when they swore Fealty to thee under the Tree: He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down Tranquillity to them; and He rewarded them with a speedy Victory; |

| 199 | কেননা, কাফেররা তাদের অন্তরে মূর্খতাযুগের জেদ পোষণ করত। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল ও মুমিনদের উপর স্বীয় প্রশান্তি নাযিল করলেন এবং তাদের জন্যে সংযমের দায়িত্ব অপরিহার্য করে দিলেন। বস্তুতঃ তারাই ছিল এর অধিকতর যোগ্য ও উপযুক্ত। আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে সম্যক জ্ঞাত। While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things. |

| 200 | মুহাম্মদ আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর সহচরগণ কাফেরদের প্রতি কঠোর, নিজেদের মধ্যে পরস্পর সহানুভূতিশীল। আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও সন্তুষ্টি কামনায় আপনি তাদেরকে রুকু ও সেজদারত দেখবেন। তাদের মুখমন্ডলে রয়েছে সেজদার চিহ্ন । তওরাতে তাদের অবস্থা এরূপ এবং ইঞ্জিলে তাদের অবস্থা যেমন একটি চারা গাছ যা থেকে নির্গত হয় কিশলয়, অতঃপর তা শক্ত ও মজবুত হয় এবং কান্ডের উপর দাঁড়ায় দৃঢ়ভাবে-চাষীকে আনন্দে অভিভুত করে-যাতে আল্লাহ তাদের দ্বারা কাফেরদের অন্তর্জালা সৃষ্টি করেন। তাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম করে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ক্ষমা ও মহাপুরস্কারের ওয়াদা দিয়েছেন। Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward. |

| 201 | যারা আল্লাহর রসূলের সামনে নিজেদের কন্ঠস্বর নীচু করে, আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরকে শিষ্টাচারের জন্যে শোধিত করেছেন। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে ক্ষমা ও মহাপুরস্কার। Those that lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger,- their hearts has Allah tested for piety: for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. |

| 202 | তোমরা জেনে রাখ তোমাদের মধ্যে আল্লাহর রসূল রয়েছেন। তিনি যদি অনেক বিষয়ে তোমাদের আবদার মেনে নেন, তবে তোমরাই কষ্ট পাবে। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তোমাদের অন্তরে ঈমানের মহব্বত সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছেন এবং তা হৃদয়গ্রাহী করে দিয়েছেন। পক্ষান্তরে কুফর, পাপাচার ও নাফরমানীর প্রতি ঘৃণা সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছেন। তারাই সৎপথ অবলম্বনকারী। And know that among you is Allah's Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness;- |

| 203 | মরুবাসীরা বলেঃ আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। বলুনঃ তোমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করনি; বরং বল, আমরা বশ্যতা স্বীকার করেছি। এখনও তোমাদের অন্তরে বিশ্বাস জন্মেনি। যদি তোমরা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের আনুগত্য কর, তবে তোমাদের কর্ম বিন্দুমাত্রও নিস্ফল করা হবে না। নিশ্চয়, আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম মেহেরবান। The desert Arabs say, "We believe." Say, "Ye have no faith; but ye (only) say, 'We have submitted our wills to Allah,' For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." |

| 204 | যে না দেখে দয়াময় আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে ভয় করত এবং বিনীত অন্তরে উপস্থিত হত। "Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him): |

| 205 | এতে উপদেশ রয়েছে তার জন্যে, যার অনুধাবন করার মত অন্তর রয়েছে। অথবা সে নিবিষ্ট মনে শ্রবণ করে। Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth). |

| 206 | রসূলের অন্তর মিথ্যা বলেনি যা সে দেখেছে। The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw. |
(আন-নাজম: আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 207 | উভয়ের মাঝখানে রয়েছে এক অন্তরাল, যা তারা অতিক্রম করে না। Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: |

| 208 | তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে প্রবিষ্ট করেন রাত্রিতে। তিনি অন্তরের বিষয়াদি সম্পর্কেও সম্যক জ্ঞাত। He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night; and He has full knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts. |

| 209 | অতঃপর আমি তাদের পশ্চাতে প্রেরণ করেছি আমার রসূলগণকে এবং তাদের অনুগামী করেছি মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসাকে ও তাকে দিয়েছি ইঞ্জিল। আমি তার অনুসারীদের অন্তরে স্থাপন করেছি নম্রতা ও দয়া। আর বৈরাগ্য, সে তো তারা নিজেরাই উদ্ভাবন করেছে; আমি এটা তাদের উপর ফরজ করিনি; কিন্তু তারা আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের জন্যে এটা অবলম্বন করেছে। অতঃপর তারা যথাযথভাবে তা পালন করেনি। তাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাসী ছিল, আমি তাদেরকে তাদের প্রাপ্য পুরস্কার দিয়েছি। আর তাদের অধিকাংশই পাপাচারী। Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors. |

| 210 | যারা আল্লাহ ও পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে, তাদেরকে আপনি আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের বিরুদ্ধাচরণকারীদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করতে দেখবেন না, যদিও তারা তাদের পিতা, পুত্র, ভ্রাতা অথবা জ্ঞাতি-গোষ্ঠী হয়। তাদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ ঈমান লিখে দিয়েছেন এবং তাদেরকে শক্তিশালী করেছেন তাঁর অদৃশ্য শক্তি দ্বারা। তিনি তাদেরকে জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত। তারা তথায় চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট। তারাই আল্লাহর দল। জেনে রাখ, আল্লাহর দলই সফলকাম হবে। Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity. |

| 211 | তিনিই কিতাবধারীদের মধ্যে যারা কাফের, তাদেরকে প্রথমবার একত্রিত করে তাদের বাড়ী-ঘর থেকে বহিস্কার করেছেন। তোমরা ধারণাও করতে পারনি যে, তারা বের হবে এবং তারা মনে করেছিল যে, তাদের দূর্গগুলো তাদেরকে আল্লাহর কবল থেকে রক্ষা করবে। অতঃপর আল্লাহর শাস্তি তাদের উপর এমনদিক থেকে আসল, যার কল্পনাও তারা করেনি। আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরে ত্রাস সঞ্চার করে দিলেন। তারা তাদের বাড়ী-ঘর নিজেদের হাতে এবং মুসলমানদের হাতে ধ্বংস করছিল। অতএব, হে চক্ষুষ্মান ব্যক্তিগণ, তোমরা শিক্ষা গ্রহণ কর। It is He Who got out the Unbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). Little did ye think that they would get out: And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allah! But the (Wrath of) Allah came to them from quarters from which they little expected (it), and cast terror into their hearts, so that they destroyed their dwellings by their own hands and the hands of the Believers, take warning, then, O ye with eyes (to see)! |

| 212 | যারা মুহাজিরদের আগমনের পূর্বে মদীনায় বসবাস করেছিল এবং বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছিল, তারা মুহাজিরদের ভালবাসে, মুহাজিরদেরকে যা দেয়া হয়েছে, তজ্জন্যে তারা অন্তরে ঈর্ষাপোষণ করে না এবং নিজেরা অভাবগ্রস্ত হলেও তাদেরকে অগ্রাধিকার দান করে। যারা মনের কার্পণ্য থেকে মুক্ত, তারাই সফলকাম। But those who before them, had homes (in Medina) and had adopted the Faith,- show their affection to such as came to them for refuge, and entertain no desire in their hearts for things given to the (latter), but give them preference over themselves, even though poverty was their (own lot). And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity. |

| 213 | আর এই সম্পদ তাদের জন্যে, যারা তাদের পরে আগমন করেছে। তারা বলেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদেরকে এবং ঈমানে আগ্রহী আমাদের ভ্রাতাগণকে ক্ষমা কর এবং ঈমানদারদের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের অন্তরে কোন বিদ্বেষ রেখো না। হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আপনি দয়ালু, পরম করুণাময়। And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful." |
(আল হাশর: আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 214 | নিশ্চয় তোমরা তাদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ তা’আলা অপেক্ষা অধিকতর ভয়াবহ। এটা এ কারণে যে, তারা এক নির্বোধ সম্প্রদায়। Of a truth ye are stronger (than they) because of the terror in their hearts, (sent) by Allah. This is because they are men devoid of understanding. |
(আল হাশর: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 215 | তারা সংঘবদ্ধভাবেও তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে পারবে না। তারা যুদ্ধ করবে কেবল সুরক্ষিত জনপদে অথবা দুর্গ প্রাচীরের আড়াল থেকে। তাদের পারস্পরিক যুদ্ধই প্রচন্ড হয়ে থাকে। আপনি তাদেরকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ মনে করবেন; কিন্তু তাদের অন্তর শতধাবিচ্ছিন্ন। এটা এ কারণে যে, তারা এক কান্ডজ্ঞানহীণ সম্প্রদায়। They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom. |

| 216 | স্মরণ কর, যখন মূসা (আঃ) তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা কেন আমাকে কষ্ট দাও, অথচ তোমরা জান যে, আমি তোমাদের কাছে আল্লাহর রসূল। অতঃপর তারা যখন বক্রতা অবলম্বন করল, তখন আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরকে বক্র করে দিলেন। আল্লাহ পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়কে পথপ্রদর্শন করেন না। And remember, Moses said to his people: "O my people! why do ye vex and insult me, though ye know that I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you?" Then when they went wrong, Allah let their hearts go wrong. For Allah guides not those who are rebellious transgressors. |
(আছ-ছফ: আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 217 | এটা এজন্য যে, তারা বিশ্বাস করার পর পুনরায় কাফের হয়েছে। ফলে তাদের অন্তরে মোহর মেরে দেয়া হয়েছে। অতএব তারা বুঝে না। That is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not. |
(মুনাফিকুন: আয়াতঃ ৩) |
| 218 | আমি তোমাদেরকে যা দিয়েছি, তা থেকে মৃত্যু আসার আগেই ব্যয় কর। অন্যথায় সে বলবেঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে আরও কিছুকাল অবকাশ দিলে না কেন? তাহলে আমি সদকা করতাম এবং সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হতাম। and spend something (in charity) out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before Death should come to any of you and he should say, "O my Lord! why didst Thou not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good". |
(মুনাফিকুন: আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 219 | নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলে যা আছে, তিনি তা জানেন। তিনি আরও জানেন তোমরা যা গোপনে কর এবং যা প্রকাশ্যে কর। আল্লাহ অন্তরের বিষয়াদি সম্পর্কে সম্যক জ্ঞাত। He knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yea, Allah knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts. |
(আত-তাগাবুন: আয়াতঃ ৪) |
| 220 | আল্লাহর নির্দেশ ব্যতিরেকে কোন বিপদ আসে না এবং যে আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস করে, তিনি তার অন্তরকে সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করেন। আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে সম্যক পরিজ্ঞাত। No kind of calamity can occur, except by the leave of Allah: and if any one believes in Allah, (Allah) guides his heart (aright): for Allah knows all things. |
(আত-তাগাবুন: আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 221 | তোমাদের অন্তর অন্যায়ের দিকে ঝুঁকে পড়েছে বলে যদি তোমরা উভয়ে তওবা কর, তবে ভাল কথা। আর যদি নবীর বিরুদ্ধে একে অপরকে সাহায্য কর, তবে জেনে রেখ আল্লাহ জিবরাঈল এবং সৎকর্মপরায়ণ মুমিনগণ তাঁর সহায়। উপরন্তুত ফেরেশতাগণও তাঁর সাহায্যকারী। If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up. |

| 222 | তোমরা তোমাদের কথা গোপনে বল অথবা প্রকাশ্যে বল, তিনি তো অন্তরের বিষয়াদি সম্পর্কে সম্যক অবগত। And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. |

| 223 | বলুন, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং দিয়েছেন কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও অন্তর। তোমরা অল্পই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর। Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give. |

| 224 | অতঃপর তার পালনকর্তা তাকে মনোনীত করলেন এবং তাকে সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে নিলেন। Thus did his Lord choose him and make him of the Company of the Righteous. |

| 225 | আমি জাহান্নামের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক ফেরেশতাই রেখেছি। আমি কাফেরদেরকে পরীক্ষা করার জন্যেই তার এই সংখ্যা করেছি-যাতে কিতাবীরা দৃঢ়বিশ্বাসী হয়, মুমিনদের ঈমান বৃদ্ধি পায় এবং কিতাবীরা ও মুমিনগণ সন্দেহ পোষণ না করে এবং যাতে যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, তারা এবং কাফেররা বলে যে, আল্লাহ এর দ্বারা কি বোঝাতে চেয়েছেন। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথভ্রষ্ট করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথে চালান। আপনার পালনকর্তার বাহিনী সম্পর্কে একমাত্র তিনিই জানেন এটা তো মানুষের জন্যে উপদেশ বৈ নয়। And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. |

| 226 | কখনও না, তারা সেদিন তাদের পালনকর্তার থেকে পর্দার অন্তরালে থাকবে। Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. |
(আত-তাতফীফ: আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 227 | অতঃপর আমার বান্দাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাও। "Enter thou, then, among My devotees! |

| 228 | অতঃপর তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হওয়া, যারা ঈমান আনে এবং পরস্পরকে উপদেশ দেয় সবরের ও উপদেশ দেয় দয়ার। Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion. |

| 229 | এবং অন্তরে যা আছে, তা অর্জন করা হবে? And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- |
