| 1 | যে পবিত্রসত্তা তোমাদের জন্য ভূমিকে বিছানা এবং আকাশকে ছাদ স্বরূপ স্থাপন করে দিয়েছেন, আর আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করে তোমাদের জন্য ফল-ফসল উৎপাদন করেছেন তোমাদের খাদ্য হিসাবে। অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে তোমরা অন্য কাকেও সমকক্ষ করো না। বস্তুতঃ এসব তোমরা জান। Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth). |

| 2 | অতএব তাদের জন্যে আফসোস! যারা নিজ হাতে গ্রন্থ লেখে এবং বলে, এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে অবতীর্ণ-যাতে এর বিনিময়ে সামান্য অর্থ গ্রহণ করতে পারে। অতএব তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের হাতের লেখার জন্য এবং তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের উপার্জনের জন্যে। Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. |

| 3 | এরাই পরকালের বিনিময়ে পার্থিব জীবন ক্রয় করেছে। অতএব এদের শাস্তি লঘু হবে না এবং এরা সাহায্যও পাবে না। These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter: their penalty shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped. |

| 4 | যখন তাদের কাছে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে কিতাব এসে পৌঁছাল, যা সে বিষয়ের সত্যায়ন করে, যা তাদের কাছে রয়েছে এবং তারা পূর্বে করত। অবশেষে যখন তাদের কাছে পৌঁছল যাকে তারা চিনে রেখেছিল, তখন তারা তা অস্বীকার করে বসল। অতএব, অস্বীকারকারীদের উপর আল্লাহর অভিসম্পাত। And when there comes to them a Book from Allah, confirming what is with them,- although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith,- when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognised, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith. |

| 5 | যার বিনিময়ে তারা নিজেদের বিক্রি করেছে, তা খুবই মন্দ; যেহেতু তারা আল্লাহ যা নযিল করেছেন, তা অস্বীকার করেছে এই হঠকারিতার দরুন যে, আল্লাহ স্বীয় বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার প্রতি ইচ্ছা অনুগ্রহ নাযিল করেন। অতএব, তারা ক্রোধের উপর ক্রোধ অর্জন করেছে। আর কাফেরদের জন্য রয়েছে অপমানজনক শাস্তি। Miserable is the price for which they have sold their souls, in that they deny (the revelation) which Allah has sent down, in insolent envy that Allah of His Grace should send it to any of His servants He pleases: Thus have they drawn on themselves Wrath upon Wrath. And humiliating is the punishment of those who reject Faith. |

| 6 | ইহুদীরা বলে, খ্রীস্টানরা কোন ভিত্তির উপরেই নয় এবং খ্রীস্টানরা বলে, ইহুদীরা কোন ভিত্তির উপরেই নয়। অথচ ওরা সবাই কিতাব পাঠ করে! এমনিভাবে যারা মূর্খ, তারাও ওদের মতই উক্তি করে। অতএব, আল্লাহ কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা দেবেন, যে বিষয়ে তারা মতবিরোধ করছিল। The Jews say: "The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say: "The Jews have naught (To stand) upon." Yet they (Profess to) study the (same) Book. Like unto their word is what those say who know not; but Allah will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgment. |

| 7 | পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম আল্লারই। অতএব, তোমরা যেদিকেই মুখ ফেরাও, সেদিকেই আল্লাহ বিরাজমান। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সর্বব্যাপী, সর্বজ্ঞ। To Allah belong the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing. |

| 8 | অতএব তারা যদি ঈমান আনে, তোমাদের ঈমান আনার মত, তবে তারা সুপথ পাবে। আর যদি মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে তারাই হঠকারিতায় রয়েছে। সুতরাং এখন তাদের জন্যে আপনার পক্ষ থেকে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট। তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী। So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but Allah will suffice thee as against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. |

| 9 | নিশ্চয়ই আমি আপনাকে বার বার আকাশের দিকে তাকাতে দেখি। অতএব, অবশ্যই আমি আপনাকে সে কেবলার দিকেই ঘুরিয়ে দেব যাকে আপনি পছন্দ করেন। এখন আপনি মসজিদুল-হারামের দিকে মুখ করুন এবং তোমরা যেখানেই থাক, সেদিকে মুখ কর। যারা আহলে-কিতাব, তারা অবশ্যই জানে যে, এটাই ঠিক পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে। আল্লাহ বেখবর নন, সে সমস্ত কর্ম সম্পর্কে যা তারা করে। We see the turning of thy face (for guidance to the heavens: now Shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord. Nor is Allah unmindful of what they do. |

| 10 | এরাই হল সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা হেদায়েতের বিনিময়ে গোমরাহী খরিদ করেছে এবং (খরিদ করেছে) ক্ষমা ও অনুগ্রহের বিনিময়ে আযাব। অতএব, তারা দোযখের উপর কেমন ধৈর্য্য ধারণকারী। They are the ones who buy Error in place of Guidance and Torment in place of Forgiveness. Ah! what boldness (They show) for the Fire! |

| 11 | রোযার রাতে তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের সাথে সহবাস করা তোমাদের জন্য হালাল করা হয়েছে। তারা তোমাদের পরিচ্ছদ এবং তোমরা তাদের পরিচ্ছদ। আল্লাহ অবগত রয়েছেন যে, তোমরা আত্নপ্রতারণা করছিলে, সুতরাং তিনি তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেছেন এবং তোমাদের অব্যাহতি দিয়েছেন। অতঃপর তোমরা নিজেদের স্ত্রীদের সাথে সহবাস কর এবং যা কিছু তোমাদের জন্য আল্লাহ দান করেছেন, তা আহরন কর। আর পানাহার কর যতক্ষণ না কাল রেখা থেকে ভোরের শুভ্র রেখা পরিষ্কার দেখা যায়। অতঃপর রোযা পূর্ণ কর রাত পর্যন্ত। আর যতক্ষণ তোমরা এতেকাফ অবস্থায় মসজিদে অবস্থান কর, ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত স্ত্রীদের সাথে মিশো না। এই হলো আল্লাহ কর্তৃক বেঁধে দেয়া সীমানা। অতএব, এর কাছেও যেও না। এমনিভাবে বর্ণনা করেন আল্লাহ নিজের আয়াত সমূহ মানুষের জন্য, যাতে তারা বাঁচতে পারে। Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint. |

| 12 | হে ঈমানদারগণ!তোমরা অনুগ্রহের কথা প্রকাশ করে এবং কষ্ট দিয়ে নিজেদের দান খয়রাত বরবাদ করো না সে ব্যক্তির মত যে নিজের ধন-সম্পদ লোক দেখানোর উদ্দেশ্যে ব্যয় করে এবং আল্লাহ ও পরকালের প্রতি বিশ্বাস রাখে না। অতএব, এ ব্যাক্তির দৃষ্টান্ত একটি মসৃণ পাথরের মত যার উপর কিছু মাটি পড়েছিল। অতঃপর এর উপর প্রবল বৃষ্টি বর্ষিত হলো, অনন্তর তাকে সম্পূর্ণ পরিষ্কার করে দিল। তারা ঐ বস্তুর কোন সওয়াব পায় না, যা তারা উপার্জন করেছে। আল্লাহ কাফের সম্প্রদায়কে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না। O ye who believe! cancel not your charity by reminders of your generosity or by injury,- like those who spend their substance to be seen of men, but believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. They are in parable like a hard, barren rock, on which is a little soil: on it falls heavy rain, which leaves it (Just) a bare stone. They will be able to do nothing with aught they have earned. And Allah guideth not those who reject faith. |

| 13 | হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা! আমরা সে বিষয়ের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি যা তুমি নাযিল করেছ, আমরা রসূলের অনুগত হয়েছি। অতএব, আমাদিগকে মান্যকারীদের তালিকাভুক্ত করে নাও। "Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Messenger; then write us down among those who bear witness." |
(আল ইমরান: আয়াতঃ ৫৩) |
| 14 | অতএব যারা কাফের হয়েছে, তাদেরকে আমি কঠিন শাস্তি দেবো দুনিয়াতে এবং আখেরাতে-তাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই। "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help." |

| 15 | আর তোমাদের মধ্যে যে ব্যক্তি স্বাধীন মুসলমান নারীকে বিয়ে করার সামর্থ্য রাখে না, সে তোমাদের অধিকারভুক্ত মুসলিম ক্রীতদাসীদেরকে বিয়ে করবে। আল্লাহ তোমাদের ঈমান সম্পর্কে ভালোভাবে জ্ঞাত রয়েছেন। তোমরা পরস্পর এক, অতএব, তাদেরকে তাদের মালিকের অনুমতিক্রমে বিয়ে কর এবং নিয়ম অনুযায়ী তাদেরকে মোহরানা প্রদান কর এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হবে-ব্যভিচারিণী কিংবা উপ-পতি গ্রহণকারিণী হবে না। অতঃপর যখন তারা বিবাহ বন্ধনে এসে যায়, তখন যদি কোন অশ্লীল কাজ করে, তবে তাদেরকে স্বাধীন নারীদের অর্ধেক শাস্তি ভোগ করতে হবে। এ ব্যবস্থা তাদের জন্যে, তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা ব্যভিচারে লিপ্ত হওয়ার ব্যাপারে ভয় করে। আর যদি সবর কর, তবে তা তোমাদের জন্যে উত্তম। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়। If any of you have not the means wherewith to wed free believing women, they may wed believing girls from among those whom your right hands possess: And Allah hath full knowledge about your faith. Ye are one from another: Wed them with the leave of their owners, and give them their dowers, according to what is reasonable: They should be chaste, not lustful, nor taking paramours: when they are taken in wedlock, if they fall into shame, their punishment is half that for free women. This (permission) is for those among you who fear sin; but it is better for you that ye practise self-restraint. And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 16 | কোন কোন ইহুদী তার লক্ষ্য থেকে কথার মোড় ঘুড়িয়ে নেয় এবং বলে, আমরা শুনেছি কিন্তু অমান্য করছি। তারা আরো বলে, শোন, না শোনার মত। মুখ বাঁকিয়ে দ্বীনের প্রতি তাচ্ছিল্য প্রদর্শনের উদ্দেশে বলে, রায়েনা’ (আমাদের রাখাল)। অথচ যদি তারা বলত যে, আমরা শুনেছি ও মান্য করেছি এবং (যদি বলত, ) শোন এবং আমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখ, তবে তাই ছিল তাদের জন্য উত্তম আর সেটাই ছিল যথার্থ ও সঠিক। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি অভিসম্পাত করেছেন তাদের কুফরীর দরুন। অতএব, তারা ঈমান আনছে না, কিন্তু অতি অল্পসংখ্যক। Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, and say: "We hear and we disobey"; and "Hear what is not Heard"; and "Ra'ina"; with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith. If only they had said: "What hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us"; it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe. |

| 17 | এরা হলো সে সমস্ত লোক, যাদের মনের গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কেও আল্লাহ তা’আলা অবগত। অতএব, আপনি ওদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন এবং ওদেরকে সদুপদেশ দিয়ে এমন কোন কথা বলুন যা তাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর। Those men,-Allah knows what is in their hearts; so keep clear of them, but admonish them, and speak to them a word to reach their very souls. |
(আন নিসা: আয়াতঃ ৬৩) |
| 18 | অতএব, তোমার পালনকর্তার কসম, সে লোক ঈমানদার হবে না, যতক্ষণ না তাদের মধ্যে সৃষ্ট বিবাদের ব্যাপারে তোমাকে ন্যায়বিচারক বলে মনে না করে। অতঃপর তোমার মীমাংসার ব্যাপারে নিজের মনে কোন রকম সংকীর্ণতা পাবে না এবং তা হূষ্টচিত্তে কবুল করে নেবে। But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. |

| 19 | তারা চায় যে, তারা যেমন কাফের, তোমরাও তেমনি কাফের হয়ে যাও, যাতে তোমরা এবং তারা সব সমান হয়ে যাও। অতএব, তাদের মধ্যে কাউকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা আল্লাহর পথে হিজরত করে চলে আসে। অতঃপর যদি তারা বিমুখ হয়, তবে তাদেরকে পাকড়াও কর এবং যেখানে পাও হত্যা কর। তাদের মধ্যে কাউকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না এবং সাহায্যকারী বানিও না। They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks;- |

| 20 | এখন তুমি আরও এক সম্প্রদায়কে পাবে। তারা তোমাদের কাছেও স্বজাতির কাছেও এবং নির্বিঘ্ন হয়ে থাকতে চায়। যখন তাদেরকে ফ্যাসাদের প্রতি মনোনিবেশ করানো হয়, তখন তারা তাতে নিপতিত হয়, অতএব তারা যদি তোমাদের থেকে নিবৃত্ত না হয়, তোমাদের সাথে সন্ধি না রাখে এবং স্বীয় হস্তসমূহকে বিরত না রাখে, তবে তোমরা তাদেরকে পাকড়াও কর এবং যেখানে পাও হত্যা কর। আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে তোমাদেরকে প্রকাশ্য যুক্তি-প্রমাণ দান করেছি। Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: Every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto: if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them: In their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them. |

| 21 | হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা যখন আল্লাহর পথে সফর কর, তখন যাচাই করে নিও এবং যে, তোমাদেরকে সালাম করে তাকে বলো না যে, তুমি মুসলমান নও। তোমরা পার্থিব জীবনের সম্পদ অন্বেষণ কর, বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহর কাছে অনেক সম্পদ রয়েছে। তোমরা ও তো এমনি ছিলে ইতিপূর্বে; অতঃপর আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন। অতএব, এখন অনুসন্ধান করে নিও। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজ কর্মের খবর রাখেন। O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation: "Thou art none of a believer!" Coveting the perishable goods of this life: with Allah are profits and spoils abundant. Even thus were ye yourselves before, till Allah conferred on you His favours: Therefore carefully investigate. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do. |

| 22 | যারা নিজের অনিষ্ট করে, ফেরেশতারা তাদের প্রাণ হরণ করে বলে, তোমরা কি অবস্থায় ছিলে? তারা বলেঃ এ ভূখন্ডে আমরা অসহায় ছিলাম। ফেরেশতারা বলেঃ আল্লাহর পৃথিবী কি প্রশস্ত ছিল না যে, তোমরা দেশত্যাগ করে সেখানে চলে যেতে? অতএব, এদের বাসস্থান হল জাহান্নাম এবং তা অত্যন্ত মন্দ স্থান। When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls, they say: "In what (plight) Were ye?" They reply: "Weak and oppressed Were we in the earth." They say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (From evil)?" Such men will find their abode in Hell,- What an evil refuge! - |
(আন নিসা: আয়াতঃ ৯৭) |
| 23 | অতএব, আশা করা যায়, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করবেন। আল্লাহ মার্জনাকারী, ক্ষমাশীল। For these, there is hope that Allah will forgive: For Allah doth blot out (sins) and forgive again and again. |
(আন নিসা: আয়াতঃ ৯৯) |
| 24 | তোমরা কখনও নারীদেরকে সমান রাখতে পারবে না, যদিও এর আকাঙ্ক্ষী হও। অতএব, সম্পূর্ণ ঝুঁকেও পড়ো না যে, একজনকে ফেলে রাখ দোদুল্যমান অবস্থায়। যদি সংশোধন কর এবং খোদাভীরু হও, তবে আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়। Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 25 | হে ঈমানদারগণ, তোমরা ন্যায়ের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত থাক; আল্লাহর ওয়াস্তে ন্যায়সঙ্গত সাক্ষ্যদান কর, তাতে তোমাদের নিজের বা পিতা-মাতার অথবা নিকটবর্তী আত্নীয়-স্বজনের যদি ক্ষতি হয় তবুও। কেউ যদি ধনী কিংবা দরিদ্র হয়, তবে আল্লাহ তাদের শুভাকাঙ্খী তোমাদের চাইতে বেশী। অতএব, তোমরা বিচার করতে গিয়ে রিপুর কামনা-বাসনার অনুসরণ করো না। আর যদি তোমরা ঘুরিয়ে-পেঁচিয়ে কথা বল কিংবা পাশ কাটিয়ে যাও, তবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের যাবতীয় কাজ কর্ম সম্পর্কেই অবগত। O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. |

| 26 | আপনার নিকট আহলে-কিতাবরা আবেদন জানায় যে, আপনি তাদের উপর আসমান থেকে লিখিত কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করিয়ে নিয়ে আসুন। বস্তুতঃ এরা মূসার কাছে এর চেয়েও বড় জিনিস চেয়েছে। বলেছে, একেবারে সামনাসামনিভাবে আমাদের আল্লাহকে দেখিয়ে দাও। অতএব, তাদের উপর বজ্রপাত হয়েছে তাদের পাপের দরুন; অতঃপর তাদের নিকট সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ-নিদর্শন প্রকাশিত হবার পরেও তারা গো-বৎসকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছিল; তাও আমি ক্ষমা করে দিয়েছিলাম এবং আমি মূসাকে প্রকৃষ্ট প্রভাব দান করেছিলাম। The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us Allah in public," but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority. |

| 27 | অতএব, তারা যে শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল, তা ছিল তাদেরই অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গর জন্য এবং অন্যায়ভাবে রসূলগণকে হত্যা করার কারণে এবং তাদের এই উক্তির দরুন যে, আমাদের হৃদয় আচ্ছন্ন। অবশ্য তা নয়, বরং কুফরীর কারণে স্বয়ং আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরের উপর মোহর এঁটে দিয়েছেন। ফলে এরা ঈমান আনে না কিন্তু অতি অল্পসংখ্যক। (They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah; that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;- |

| 28 | হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! তোমরা দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে বাড়াবাড়ি করো না এবং আল্লাহর শানে নিতান্ত সঙ্গত বিষয় ছাড়া কোন কথা বলো না। নিঃসন্দেহে মরিয়ম পুত্র মসীহ ঈসা আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর বাণী যা তিনি প্রেরণ করেছেন মরিয়মের নিকট এবং রূহ-তাঁরই কাছ থেকে আগত। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে এবং তার রসূলগণকে মান্য কর। আর একথা বলো না যে, আল্লাহ তিনের এক, একথা পরিহার কর; তোমাদের মঙ্গল হবে। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ একক উপাস্য। সন্তান-সন্ততি হওয়াটা তাঁর যোগ্য বিষয় নয়। যা কিছু আসমান সমূহ ও যমীনে রয়েছে সবই তার। আর কর্মবিধানে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট। O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. |

| 29 | অতএব, যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছে এবং তাতে দৃঢ়তা অবলম্বন করেছে তিনি তাদেরকে স্বীয় রহমত ও অনুগ্রহের আওতায় স্থান দেবেন এবং নিজের দিকে আসার মত সরল পথে তুলে দেবেন। Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to Himself by a straight way. |

| 30 | মানুষ আপনার নিকট ফতোয়া জানতে চায় অতএব, আপনি বলে দিন, আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে কালালাহ এর মীরাস সংক্রান্ত সুস্পষ্ট নির্দেশ বাতলে দিচ্ছেন, যদি কোন পুরুষ মারা যায় এবং তার কোন সন্তানাদি না থাকে এবং এক বোন থাকে, তবে সে পাবে তার পরিত্যাক্ত সম্পত্তির অর্ধেক অংশ এবং সে যদি নিঃসন্তান হয়, তবে তার ভাই তার উত্তরাধিকারী হবে। তা দুই বোন থাকলে তাদের জন্য পরিত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির দুই তৃতীয়াংশ। পক্ষান্তরে যদি ভাই ও বোন উভয়ই থাকে, তবে একজন পুরুষের অংশ দুজন নারীর সমান। তোমরা বিভ্রান্ত হবে আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে সুস্পষ্ট ভাবে জানিয়ে দিচ্ছেন। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন সর্ব বিষয়ে পরিজ্ঞাত। They ask thee for a legal decision. Say: Allah directs (thus) about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs. If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister but no child, she shall have half the inheritance: If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, Her brother takes her inheritance: If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance (between them): if there are brothers and sisters, (they share), the male having twice the share of the female. Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His law), lest ye err. And Allah hath knowledge of all things. |

| 31 | তোমাদের জন্যে হারাম করা হয়েছে মৃত জীব, রক্ত, শুকরের মাংস, যেসব জন্তু আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্যের নামে উৎসর্গকৃত হয়, যা কন্ঠরোধে মারা যায়, যা আঘাত লেগে মারা যায়, যা উচ্চ স্থান থেকে পতনের ফলে মারা যা, যা শিং এর আঘাতে মারা যায় এবং যাকে হিংস্র জন্তু ভক্ষণ করেছে, কিন্তু যাকে তোমরা যবেহ করেছ। যে জন্তু যজ্ঞবেদীতে যবেহ করা হয় এবং যা ভাগ্য নির্ধারক শর দ্বারা বন্টন করা হয়। এসব গোনাহর কাজ। আজ কাফেররা তোমাদের দ্বীন থেকে নিরাশ হয়ে গেছে। অতএব তাদেরকে ভয় করো না বরং আমাকে ভয় কর। আজ আমি তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের দ্বীনকে পূর্নাঙ্গ করে দিলাম, তোমাদের প্রতি আমার অবদান সম্পূর্ণ করে দিলাম এবং ইসলামকে তোমাদের জন্যে দ্বীন হিসেবে পছন্দ করলাম। অতএব যে ব্যাক্তি তীব্র ক্ষুধায় কাতর হয়ে পড়ে; কিন্তু কোন গোনাহর প্রতি প্রবণতা না থাকে, তবে নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তা’আলা ক্ষমাশীল। Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 32 | অতএব, তাদের অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গের দরুন আমি তাদের উপর অভিসম্পাত করেছি এবং তাদের অন্তরকে কঠোর করে দিয়েছি। তারা কালামকে তার স্থান থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেয় এবং তাদেরকে যে উপদেশ দেয়া হয়েছিল, তারা তা থেকে উপকার লাভ করার বিষয়টি বিস্মৃত হয়েছে। আপনি সর্বদা তাদের কোন না কোন প্রতারণা সম্পর্কে অবগত হতে থাকেন, তাদের অল্প কয়েকজন ছাড়া। অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন এবং মার্জনা করুন। আল্লাহ অনুগ্রহকারীদেরকে ভালবাসেন। But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind. |

| 33 | হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! তোমাদের কাছে আমার রসূল আগমণ করেছেন, যিনি পয়গম্বরদের বিরতির পর তোমাদের কাছে পুঙ্খানুপুঙ্খ বর্ণনা করেন-যাতে তোমরা একথা বলতে না পার যে, আমাদের কাছে কোন সুসংবাদদাতা ও ভীতিপ্রদর্শক আগমন করে নি। অতএব, তোমাদের কাছে সুসংবাদদাতা ও ভীতি প্রদর্শক আগমন করেননি। অতএব, তোমাদের কাছে সুসংবাদদাতা ও ভয় প্রদর্শক এসে গেছেন। আল্লাহ সবকিছুর উপর শক্তিমান। O People of the Book! Now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our messengers, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things. |

| 34 | তারা বললঃ হে মূসা, আমরা জীবনেও কখনো সেখানে যাব না, যতক্ষণ তারা সেখানে থাকবে। অতএব, আপনি ও আপনার পালনকর্তাই যান এবং উভয়ে যুদ্ধ করে নিন। আমরা তো এখানেই বসলাম। They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch)." |

| 35 | মূসা বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি শুধু নিজের উপর ও নিজের ভাইয়ের উপর ক্ষমতা রাখি। অতএব, আপনি আমাদের মধ্যে ও এ অবাধ্য সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ করুন। He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!" |

| 36 | বললেনঃ এ দেশ চল্লিশ বছর পর্যন্ত তাদের জন্যে হারাম করা হল। তারা ভুপৃষ্ঠে উদভ্রান্ত হয়ে ফিরবে। অতএব, আপনি অবাধ্য সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না। Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people. |

| 37 | এরা মিথ্যা বলার জন্যে গুপ্তচরবৃত্তি করে, হারাম ভক্ষণ করে। অতএব, তারা যদি আপনার কাছে আসে, তবে হয় তাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করে দিন, না হয় তাদের ব্যাপারে নির্লিপ্ত থাকুন। যদি তাদের থেকে নির্লিপ্ত থাকেন, তবে তাদের সাধ্য নেই যে, আপনার বিন্দুমাত্র ক্ষতি করতে পারে। যদি ফয়সালা করেন, তবেন্যায় ভাবে ফয়সালা করুন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সুবিচারকারীদেরকে ভালবাসেন। (They are fond of) listening to falsehood, of devouring anything forbidden. If they do come to thee, either judge between them, or decline to interfere. If thou decline, they cannot hurt thee in the least. If thou judge, judge in equity between them. For Allah loveth those who judge in equity. |

| 38 | আমি তওরাত অবর্তীর্ন করেছি। এতে হেদায়াত ও আলো রয়েছে। আল্লাহর আজ্ঞাবহ পয়গম্বর, দরবেশ ও আলেমরা এর মাধ্যমে ইহুদীদেরকে ফয়সালা দিতেন। কেননা, তাদেরকে এ খোদায়ী গ্রন্থের দেখাশোনা করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছিল এবং তাঁরা এর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণে নিযুক্ত ছিলেন। অতএব, তোমরা মানুষকে ভয় করো না এবং আমাকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আয়াত সমূহের বিনিময়ে স্বল্পমূল্যে গ্রহণ করো না, যেসব লোক আল্লাহ যা অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তদনুযায়ী ফায়সালা করে না, তারাই কাফের। It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. |

| 39 | আমি আপনার প্রতি অবতীর্ণ করেছি সত্যগ্রন্থ, যা পূর্ববতী গ্রন্থ সমূহের সত্যায়নকারী এবং সেগুলোর বিষয়বস্তুর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণকারী। অতএব, আপনি তাদের পারস্পারিক ব্যাপারাদিতে আল্লাহ যা অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তদনুযায়ী ফয়সালা করুন এবং আপনার কাছে যে সৎপথ এসেছে, তা ছেড়ে তাদের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করবেন না। আমি তোমাদের প্রত্যেককে একটি আইন ও পথ দিয়েছি। যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন, তবে তোমাদের সবাইকে এক উম্মত করে দিতেন, কিন্তু এরূপ করেননি-যাতে তোমাদেরকে যে ধর্ম দিয়েছেন, তাতে তোমাদের পরীক্ষা নেন। অতএব, দৌড়ে কল্যাণকর বিষয়াদি অর্জন কর। তোমাদের সবাইকে আল্লাহর কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। অতঃপর তিনি অবহিত করবেন সে বিষয়, যাতে তোমরা মতবিরোধ করতে। To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute; |

| 40 | বস্তুতঃ যাদের অন্তরে রোগ রয়েছে, তাদেরকে আপনি দেখবেন, দৌড়ে গিয়ে তাদেরই মধ্যে প্রবেশ করে। তারা বলেঃ আমরা আশঙ্কা করি, পাছে না আমরা কোন দুর্ঘটনায় পতিত হই। অতএব, সেদিন দুরে নয়, যেদিন আল্লাহ তা’আলা বিজয় প্রকাশ করবেন অথবা নিজের পক্ষ থেকে কোন নির্দেশ দেবেন-ফলে তারা স্বীয় গোপন মনোভাবের জন্যে অনুতপ্ত হবে। Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts. |

| 41 | বলে দিনঃ হে আহলে কিতাবগণ, তোমরা কোন পথেই নও, যে পর্যন্ত না তোমরা তওরাত, ইঞ্জিল এবং যে গ্রন্থ তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে তাও পুরোপুরি পালন না কর। আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে আপনার প্রতি যা অবর্তীণ হয়েছে, তার কারণে তাদের অনেকের অবাধ্যতা ও কুফর বৃদ্ধি পাবে। অতএব, এ কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না। Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith. |

| 42 | আর তারা রসূলের প্রতি যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে, তা যখন শুনে, তখন আপনি তাদের চোখ অশ্রু সজল দেখতে পাবেন; এ কারণে যে, তারা সত্যকে চিনে নিয়েছে। তারা বলেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতি পালক, আমরা মুসলমান হয়ে গেলাম। অতএব, আমাদেরকেও মান্যকারীদের তালিকাভুক্ত করে নিন। And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses. |

| 43 | আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেন না তোমাদের অনর্থক শপথের জন্যে; কিন্তু পাকড়াও করেন ঐ শপথের জন্যে যা তোমরা মজবুত করে বাধ। অতএব, এর কাফফরা এই যে, দশজন দরিদ্রকে খাদ্য প্রদান করবে; মধ্যম শ্রেনীর খাদ্য যা তোমরা স্বীয় পরিবারকে দিয়ে থাক। অথবা, তাদেরকে বস্তু প্রদান করবে অথবা, একজন ক্রীতদাস কিংবা দাসী মুক্ত করে দিবে। যে ব্যক্তি সামর্থ্য রাখে না, সে তিন দিন রোযা রাখবে। এটা কাফফরা তোমাদের শপথের, যখন শপথ করবে। তোমরা স্বীয় শপথসমূহ রক্ষা কর এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্য স্বীয় নির্দেশ বর্ণনা করেন, যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার কর। Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful. |

| 44 | হে মুমিনগণ, এই যে মদ, জুয়া, প্রতিমা এবং ভাগ্য-নির্ধারক শরসমূহ এসব শয়তানের অপবিত্র কার্য বৈ তো নয়। অতএব, এগুলো থেকে বেঁচে থাক-যাতে তোমরা কল্যাণপ্রাপ্ত হও। O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. |

| 45 | শয়তান তো চায়, মদ ও জুয়ার মাধ্যমে তোমাদের পরস্পরের মাঝে শুত্রুতা ও বিদ্বেষ সঞ্চারিত করে দিতে এবং আল্লাহর স্মরণ ও নামায থেকে তোমাদেরকে বিরত রাখতে। অতএব, তোমরা এখন ও কি নিবৃত্ত হবে? Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain? |

| 46 | হে মুমিনগণ, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে এমন কিছু শিকারের মাধ্যমে পরীক্ষা করবেন, যে শিকার পর্যন্ত তোমাদের হাত ও বর্শা সহজেই পৌছতে পারবে-যাতে আল্লাহ বুঝতে পারেন যে, কে তাকে অদৃশ্যভাবে ভয়করে। অতএব, যে ব্যক্তি এরপর সীমা অতিক্রম করবে, তার জন্য যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি রয়েছে। O ye who believe! Allah doth but make a trial of you in a little matter of game well within reach of game well within reach of your hands and your lances, that He may test who feareth him unseen: any who transgress thereafter, will have a grievous penalty. |

| 47 | বলে দিনঃ অপবিত্র ও পবিত্র সমান নয়, যদিও অপবিত্রের প্রাচুর্য তোমাকে বিস্মিত করে। অতএব, হে বুদ্ধিমানগণ, আল্লাহকে ভয় কর-যাতে তোমরা মুক্তি পাও। Say: "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, O ye that understand; that (so) ye may prosper." |
(আল মায়িদাহ: আয়াতঃ ১০০) |
| 48 | অতএব, অবশ্য তারা সত্যকে মিথ্যা বলেছে যখন তা তাদের কাছে এসেছে। বস্তুতঃ অচিরেই তাদের কাছে ঐ বিষয়ের সংবাদ আসবে, যার সাথে তারা উপহাস করত। And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at. |

| 49 | আর যদি আপনি দেখেন; যখন তাদেরকে প্রতিপালকের সামনে দাঁড় করানো হবে। তিনি বলবেনঃ এটা কি বাস্তব সত্য নয়? তারা বলবেঃ হঁ্যা আমাদের প্রতিপালকের কসম। তিনি বলবেনঃ অতএব, স্বীয় কুফরের কারণে শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর। If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with their Lord! He will say: "Is not this the truth?" They will say: "Yea, by our Lord!" He will say: "Taste ye then the penalty, because ye rejected Faith." |

| 50 | আমার জানা আছে যে, তাদের উক্তি আপনাকে দুঃখিত করে। অতএব, তারা আপনাকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করে না, বরং জালেমরা আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলীকে অস্বীকার করে। We know indeed the grief which their words do cause thee: It is not thee they reject: it is the signs of Allah, which the wicked contemn. |

| 51 | আর যদি তাদের বিমুখতা আপনার পক্ষে কষ্টকর হয়, তবে আপনি যদি ভূতলে কোন সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আকাশে কোন সিড়ি অনুসন্ধান করতে সমর্থ হন, অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন একটি মোজেযা আনতে পারেন, তবে নিয়ে আসুন। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে সবাইকে সরল পথে সমবেত করতে পারতেন। অতএব, আপনি নির্বোধদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)! |

| 52 | যাদেরকে তোমরা আল্লাহর সাথে শরীক করে রেখেছ, তাদেরকে কিরূপে ভয় কর, অথচ তোমরা ভয় কর না যে, তোমরা আল্লাহর সাথে এমন বস্তুকে শরীক করছ, যাদের সম্পর্কে আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি কোন প্রমাণ অবতীর্ণ করেননি। অতএব, উভয় সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে শাস্তি লাভের অধিক যোগ্য কে, যদি তোমরা জ্ঞানী হয়ে থাক। "How should I fear (the beings) ye associate with Allah, when ye fear not to give partners to Allah without any warrant having been given to you? Which of (us) two parties hath more right to security? (tell me) if ye know. |

| 53 | তাদেরকেই আমি গ্রন্থ, শরীয়ত ও নবুয়ত দান করেছি। অতএব, যদি এরা আপনার নবুয়ত অস্বীকার করে, তবে এর জন্যে এমন সম্প্রদায় নির্দিষ্ট করেছি, যারা এতে অবিশ্বাসী হবে না। These were the men to whom We gave the Book, and authority, and prophethood: if these (their descendants) reject them, Behold! We shall entrust their charge to a new people who reject them not. |

| 54 | এরা এমন ছিল, যাদেরকে আল্লাহ পথ প্রদর্শন করেছিলেন। অতএব, আপনিও তাদের পথ অনুসরণ করুন। আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমি তোমাদের কাছে এর জন্যে কোন পারিশ্রমিক চাই না। এটি সারা বিশ্বের জন্যে একটি উপদেশমাত্র। Those were the (prophets) who received Allah's guidance: Copy the guidance they received; Say: "No reward for this do I ask of you: This is no less than a message for the nations." |

| 55 | তিনিই আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। তিনিই সব কিছুর স্রষ্টা। অতএব, তোমরা তাঁরই এবাদত কর। তিনি প্রত্যেক বস্তুর কার্যনির্বাহী। That is Allah, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs. |

| 56 | তোমাদের কাছে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে নিদর্শনাবলী এসে গেছে। অতএব, যে প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, সে নিজেরই উপকার করবে এবং যে অন্ধ হবে, সে নিজেরই ক্ষতি করবে। আমি তোমাদের পর্যবেক্ষক নই। "Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings." |

| 57 | অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে এবং তাদের মিথ্যাপবাদকে মুক্ত ছেড়ে দিন যাতে কারুকার্যখচিত বাক্যের প্রতি তাদের মন আকৃষ্ট হয় যারা পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে না এবং তারা একেও পছন্দ করে নেয় এবং যাতে ঐসব কাজ করে, যা তারা করছে। To such (deceit) let the hearts of those incline, who have no faith in the hereafter: let them delight in it, and let them earn from it what they may. |

| 58 | তবে কি আমি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য কোন বিচারক অনুসন্ধান করব, অথচ তিনিই তোমাদের প্রতি বিস্তারিত গ্রন্থ অবতীর্ন করেছেন? আমি যাদেরকে গ্রন্থ প্রদান করেছি, তারা নিশ্চিত জানে যে, এটি আপনার প্রতি পালকের পক্ষ থেকে সত্যসহ অবর্তীর্ন হয়েছে। অতএব, আপনি সংশয়কারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than Allah? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt. |

| 59 | এমনিভাবে অনেক মুশরেকের দৃষ্টিতে তাদের উপাস্যরা সন্তান হত্যাকে সুশোভিত করে দিয়েছে যেন তারা তাদেরকে বিনষ্ট করে দেয় এবং তাদের ধর্মমতকে তাদের কাছে বিভ্রান্ত করে দেয়। যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন, তবে তারা এ কাজ করত না। অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে এবং তাদের মনগড়া বুলিকে পরিত্যাগ করুন। Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If Allah had willed, they would not have done so: But leave alone them and their inventions. |

| 60 | সৃষ্টি করেছেন উটের মধ্যে দুই প্রকার এবং গরুর মধ্যে দুই প্রকার। আপনি জিজ্ঞেস করুনঃ তিনি কি উভয় নর হারাম করেছেন, না উভয় মাদীকে, না যা উভয় মাদীর পেটে আছে? তোমরা কি উপস্থিত ছিলে, যখন আল্লাহ এ নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন? অতএব সে ব্যক্তি অপেক্ষা বেশী অত্যচারী কে, যে আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা ধারণা পোষন করে যাতে করে মানুষকে বিনা প্রমাণে পথভ্রষ্ট করতে পারে? নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ অত্যাচারী সম্প্রদায়কে পথপ্রদর্শন করেন না। Of camels a pair, and oxen a pair; say, hath He forbidden the two males, or the two females, or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? - Were ye present when Allah ordered you such a thing? But who doth more wrong than one who invents a lie against Allah, to lead astray men without knowledge? For Allah guideth not people who do wrong. |

| 61 | আপনি বলে দিনঃ অতএব, পরিপূর্ন যুক্তি আল্লাহরই। তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সবাইকে পথ প্রদর্শন করতেন। Say: "With Allah is the argument that reaches home: if it had been His will, He could indeed have guided you all." |

| 62 | তোমাদেরকে এ নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন, যেন তোমরা উপদেশ গ্রহণ কর। নিশ্চিত এটি আমার সরল পথ। অতএব, এ পথে চল এবং অন্যান্য পথে চলো না। তা হলে সেসব পথ তোমাদেরকে তাঁর পথ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দিবে। তোমাদেরকে এ নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন, যাতে তোমরা সংযত হও। Verily, this is My way, leading straight: follow it: follow not (other) paths: they will scatter you about from His (great) path: thus doth He command you. that ye may be righteous. |

| 63 | এটি এমন একটি গ্রন্থ, যা আমি অবতীর্ণ করেছি, খুব মঙ্গলময়, অতএব, এর অনুসরণ কর এবং ভয় কর-যাতে তোমরা করুণাপ্রাপ্ত হও। And this is a Book which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it and be righteous, that ye may receive mercy: |

| 64 | কিংবা বলতে শুরু করঃ যদি আমাদের প্রতি কোন গ্রন্থ অবতীর্ণ হত, আমরা এদের চাইতে অধিক পথপ্রাপ্ত হতাম। অতএব, তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের কাছে সুষ্পষ্ট প্রমাণ, হেদায়েত ও রহমত এসে গেছে। অতঃপর সে ব্যক্তির চাইতে অধিক অনাচারী কে হবে, যে আল্লাহর আয়াত সমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে এবং গা বাঁচিয়ে চলে। অতি সত্ত্বর আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দেব। যারা আমার আয়াত সমূহ থেকে গা বাঁচিয়ে চলে-জঘন্য শাস্তি তাদের গা বাঁচানোর কারণে। Or lest ye should say: "If the Book had only been sent down to us, we should have followed its guidance better than they." Now then hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your Lord,- and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than one who rejecteth Allah's signs, and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away. |

| 66 | অতএব, আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করব যাদের কাছে রসূল প্রেরিত হয়েছিল এবং আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করব রসূলগণকে। Then shall we question those to whom Our message was sent and those by whom We sent it. |

| 67 | বললেন তুই এখান থেকে যা। এখানে অহংকার করার কোন অধিকার তোর নাই। অতএব তুই বের হয়ে যা। তুই হীনতমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। (Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." |

| 68 | আল্লাহ বলবেনঃ তোমাদের পূর্বে জিন ও মানবের যেসব সম্প্রদায় চলে গেছে, তাদের সাথে তোমরাও দোযখে যাও। যখন এক সম্প্রদায় প্রবেশ করবে; তখন অন্য সম্প্রদায়কে অভিসম্পাত করবে। এমনকি, যখন তাতে সবাই পতিত হবে, তখন পরবর্তীরা পূর্ববর্তীদের সম্পর্কে বলবেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক এরাই আমাদেরকে বিপথগামী করেছিল। অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে দ্বিগুণ শাস্তি দিন। আল্লাহ বলবেন প্রত্যেকেরই দ্বিগুণ; তোমরা জান না। He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all": but this ye do not understand. |

| 69 | পূর্ববর্তীরা পরবর্তীদেরকে বলবেঃ তাহলে আমাদের উপর তোমাদের কোন শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব নেই অতএব, শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর স্বীয় কর্মের কারণে। Then the first will say to the last: "See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did!" |

| 70 | জান্নাতীরা দোযখীদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ আমাদের সাথে আমাদের প্রতিপালক যে ওয়াদা করেছিলেন, তা আমরা সত্য পেয়েছি? অতএব, তোমরাও কি তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের ওয়াদা সত্য পেয়েছ? তারা বলবেঃ হ্যাঁ। অতঃপর একজন ঘোষক উভয়ের মাঝখানে ঘোষণা করবেঃ আল্লাহর অভিসম্পাত জালেমদের উপর। The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord's promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;- |

| 71 | তারা স্বীয় ধর্মকে তামাশা ও খেলা বানিয়ে নিয়েছিল এবং পার্থিব জীবন তাদের কে ধোকায় ফেলে রেখেছিল। অতএব, আমি আজকে তাদেরকে ভুলে যাব; যেমন তারা এ দিনের সাক্ষাৎকে ভুলে গিয়েছিল এবং যেমন তারা আয়াতসমূহকে অবিশ্বাস করত। "Such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." That day shall We forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject Our signs. |

| 72 | তারা কি এখন এ অপেক্ষায়ই আছে যে, এর বিষয়বস্তু প্রকাশিত হোক? যেদিন এর বিষয়বস্তু প্রকাশিত হবে, সেদিন পূর্বে যারা একে ভূলে গিয়েছিল, তারা বলবেঃ বাস্তবিকই আমাদের প্রতিপালকের পয়গম্বরগণ সত্যসহ আগমন করেছিলেন। অতএব, আমাদের জন্যে কোন সুপারিশকারী আছে কি যে, সুপারিশ করবে অথবা আমাদেরকে পুনঃ প্রেরণ করা হলে আমরা পূর্বে যা করতাম তার বিপরীত কাজ করে আসতাম। নিশ্চয় তারা নিজেদেরকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করেছে। তারা মনগড়া যা বলত, তা উধাও হয়ে যাবে। Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The messengers of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch. |

| 73 | তারা বললঃ তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে এজন্যে এসেছ যে আমরা এক আল্লাহর এবাদত করি এবং আমাদের বাপ-দাদা যাদের পূজা করত, তাদেরকে ছেড়ে দেই? অতএব নিয়ে আস আমাদের কাছে যাদ্দ্বারা আমাদেরকে ভয় দেখাচ্ছ, যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হও। They said: "Comest thou to us, that we may worship Allah alone, and give up the cult of our fathers? bring us what thou threatenest us with, if so be that thou tellest the truth!" |

| 74 | সে বললঃ অবধারিত হয়ে গেছে তোমাদের উপর তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে শাস্তি ও ক্রোধ। আমার সাথে ঐসব নাম সম্পর্কে কেন তর্ক করছ, যেগুলো তোমরা ও তোমাদের বাপ-দাদারা রেখেছে। আল্লাহ এদের কোন মন্দ অবর্তীণ করেননি। অতএব অপেক্ষা কর। আমিও তোমাদের সাথে অপেক্ষা করছি। He said: "Punishment and wrath have already come upon you from your Lord: dispute ye with me over names which ye have devised - ye and your fathers,- without authority from Allah? then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting." |

| 75 | সামুদ সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে প্রেরণ করেছি তাদের ভাই সালেহকে। সে বললঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর। তিনি ব্যতিত তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য নেই। তোমাদের কাছে তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে একটি প্রমাণ এসে গেছে। এটি আল্লাহর উষ্টী তোমাদের জন্যে প্রমাণ। অতএব একে ছেড়ে দাও, আল্লাহর ভুমিতে চড়ে বেড়াবে। একে অসৎভাবে স্পর্শ করবে না। অন্যথায় তোমাদেরকে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি পাকড়াও করবে। To the Thamud people (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: "O my people! worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! This she-camel of Allah is a Sign unto you: So leave her to graze in Allah's earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment. |

| 76 | তোমরা স্মরণ কর, যখন তোমাদেরকে আদ জাতির পরে সর্দার করেছেন; তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে ঠিকানা দিয়েছেন। তোমরা নরম মাটিতে অট্টালিকা নির্মান কর এবং পর্বত গাত্র খনন করে প্রকোষ্ঠ নির্মাণ কর। অতএব আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ কর এবং পৃথিবীতে অনর্থ সৃষ্টি করো না। "And remember how He made you inheritors after the 'Ad people and gave you habitations in the land: ye build for yourselves palaces and castles in (open) plains, and carve out homes in the mountains; so bring to remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah, and refrain from evil and mischief on the earth." |

| 77 | অতএব, দেখ গোনাহগারদের পরিণতি কেমন হয়েছে। And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime! |

| 78 | আমি মাদইয়ানের প্রতি তাদের ভাই শোয়ায়েবকে প্রেরণ করেছি। সে বললঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর। তিনি ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য নেই। তোমাদের কাছে তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে প্রমাণ এসে গেছে। অতএব তোমরা মাপ ও ওজন পূর্ন কর এবং মানুষকে তাদের দ্রব্যদি কম দিয়ো না এবং ভুপৃষ্টের সংস্কার সাধন করার পর তাতে অনর্থ সৃষ্টি করো না। এই হল তোমাদের জন্যে কল্যাণকর, যদি তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হও। To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah; Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith. |

| 79 | তারপর আমি ওহীযোগে মূসাকে বললাম, এবার নিক্ষেপ কর তোমার লাঠিখানা। অতএব সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তা সে সমুদয়কে গিলতে লাগল, যা তারা বানিয়েছিল যাদু বলে। We put it into Moses's mind by inspiration: "Throw (now) thy rod": and behold! it swallows up straight away all the falsehoods which they fake! |

| 80 | আর আমি তোমাকে পটে লিখে দিয়েছি সর্বপ্রকার উপদেশ ও বিস্তারিত সব বিষয়। অতএব, এগুলোকে দৃঢ়ভাবে ধারণ কর এবং স্বজাতিকে এর কল্যাণকর বিষয়সমূহ দৃঢ়তার সাথে পালনের নির্দেশ দাও। And We ordained laws for him in the tablets in all matters, both commanding and explaining all things, (and said): "Take and hold these with firmness, and enjoin thy people to hold fast by the best in the precepts: soon shall I show you the homes of the wicked,- (How they lie desolate)." |

| 81 | অবশ্য আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তার মর্যাদা বাড়িয়ে দিতাম সে সকল নিদর্শনসমূহের দৌলতে। কিন্তু সে যে অধঃপতিত এবং নিজের রিপুর অনুগামী হয়ে রইল। সুতরাং তার অবস্থা হল কুকুরের মত; যদি তাকে তাড়া কর তবুও হাঁপাবে আর যদি ছেড়ে দাও তবুও হাঁপাবে। এ হল সেসব লোকের উদাহরণ; যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আমার নিদর্শনসমূহকে। অতএব, আপনি বিবৃত করুন এসব কাহিনী, যাতে তারা চিন্তা করে। If it had been Our will, We should have elevated him with Our signs; but he inclined to the earth, and followed his own vain desires. His similitude is that of a dog: if you attack him, he lolls out his tongue, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls out his tongue. That is the similitude of those who reject Our signs; So relate the story; perchance they may reflect. |

| 82 | আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে তোমরা যাদেরকে ডাক, তারা সবাই তোমাদের মতই বান্দা। অতএব, তোমরা যাদেরকে ডাক, তখন তাদের পক্ষেও তো তোমাদের সে ডাক কবুল করা উচিত যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাক? Verily those whom ye call upon besides Allah are servants like unto you: Call upon them, and let them listen to your prayer, if ye are (indeed) truthful! |

| 83 | আপনার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে, গনীমতের হুকুম। বলে দিন, গণীমতের মাল হল আল্লাহর এবং রসূলের। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং নিজেদের অবস্থা সংশোধন করে নাও। আর আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রসূলের হুকুম মান্য কর, যদি ঈমানদার হয়ে থাক। They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say: "(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger: So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe." |

| 84 | আর কা’বার নিকট তাদের নামায বলতে শিস দেয়া আর তালি বাজানো ছাড়া অন্য কোন কিছুই ছিল না। অতএব, এবার নিজেদের কৃত কুফরীর আযাবের স্বাদ গ্রহণ কর। Their prayer at the House (of Allah) is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands: (Its only answer can be), "Taste ye the penalty because ye blasphemed." |

| 85 | মুশরিকদের চুক্তি আল্লাহর নিকট ও তাঁর রসূলের নিকট কিরূপে বলবৎ থাকবে। তবে যাদের সাথে তোমরা চুক্তি সম্পাদন করেছ মসজিদুল-হারামের নিকট। অতএব, যে পর্যন্ত তারা তোমাদের জন্যে সরল থাকে, তোমরাও তাদের জন্য সরল থাক। নিঃসন্দেহের আল্লাহ সাবধানীদের পছন্দ করেন। How can there be a league, before Allah and His Messenger, with the Pagans, except those with whom ye made a treaty near the sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for Allah doth love the righteous. |

| 86 | নিঃসন্দেহে তারাই আল্লাহর মসজিদ আবাদ করবে যারা ঈমান এনেছে আল্লাহর প্রতি ও শেষ দিনের প্রতি এবং কায়েম করেছে নামায ও আদায় করে যাকাত; আল্লাহ ব্যতীত আর কাউকে ভয় করে না। অতএব, আশা করা যায়, তারা হেদায়েত প্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হবে। The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance. |

| 87 | তারা কসম খায় যে, আমরা বলিনি, অথচ নিঃসন্দেহে তারা বলেছে কুফরী বাক্য এবং মুসলমান হবার পর অস্বীকৃতিজ্ঞাপনকারী হয়েছে। আর তারা কামনা করেছিল এমন বস্তুর যা তারা প্রাপ্ত হয়নি। আর এসব তারই পরিণতি ছিল যে, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল তাদেরকে সম্পদশালী করে দিয়েছিলেন নিজের অনুগ্রহের মাধ্যমে। বস্তুতঃ এরা যদি তওবা করে নেয়, তবে তাদের জন্য মঙ্গল। আর যদি তা না মানে, তবে তাদের কে আযাব দেবেন আল্লাহ তা’আলা, বেদনাদায়ক আযাব দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে। অতএব, বিশ্বচরাচরে তাদের জন্য কোন সাহায্যকারী-সমর্থক নেই। They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them. |

| 88 | অতএব, তারা সামান্য হেসে নিক এবং তারা তাদের কৃতকর্মের বদলাতে অনেক বেশী কাঁদবে। Let them laugh a little: much will they weep: a recompense for the (evil) that they do. |

| 89 | তারা তোমার সামনে কসম খাবে যাতে তুমি তাদের প্রতি রাযী হয়ে যাও। অতএব, তুমি যদি রাযী হয়ে যাও তাদের প্রতি তবু আল্লাহ তা’আলা রাযী হবেন না, এ নাফরমান লোকদের প্রতি। They will swear unto you, that ye may be pleased with them but if ye are pleased with them, Allah is not pleased with those who disobey. |

| 90 | আর যখন কোন সূরা অবতীর্ণ হয়, তখন তাদের কেউ কেউ বলে, এ সূরা তোমাদের মধ্যেকার ঈমান কতটা বৃদ্ধি করলো? অতএব যারা ঈমানদার, এ সূরা তাদের ঈমান বৃদ্ধি করেছে এবং তারা আনন্দিত হয়েছে। Whenever there cometh down a sura, some of them say: "Which of you has had His faith increased by it?" Yea, those who believe,- their faith is increased and they do rejoice. |

| 91 | নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ যিনি তৈরী করেছেন আসমান ও যমীনকে ছয় দিনে, অতঃপর তিনি আরশের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন। তিনি কার্য পরিচালনা করেন। কেউ সুপারিশ করতে পাবে না তবে তাঁর অনুমতি ছাড়া ইনিই আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তোমরা তাঁরই এবাদত কর। তোমরা কি কিছুই চিন্তা কর না ? Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition? |

| 92 | অতএব, এ আল্লাহই তোমাদের প্রকৃত পালনকর্তা। আর সত্য প্রকাশের পরে (উদভ্রান্ত ঘুরার মাঝে) কি রয়েছে গোমরাহী ছাড়া? সুতরাং কোথায় ঘুরছ? Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away? |

| 93 | বল, আছে কি কেউ তোমাদের শরীকদের মাঝে যে সৃষ্টি কে পয়দা করতে পারে এবং আবার জীবিত করতে পারে? বল, আল্লাহই প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেন এবং অতঃপর তার পুনরুদ্ভব করবেন। অতএব, কোথায় ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে? Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?" |

| 94 | জিজ্ঞেস কর, আছে কি কেউ তোমাদের শরীকদের মধ্যে যে সত্য-সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করবে? বল, আল্লাহই সত্য-সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করেন, সুতরাং এমন যে লোক সঠিক পথ দেখাবে তার কথা মান্য করা কিংবা যে লোক নিজে নিজে পথ খুঁজে পায় না, তাকে পথ দেখানো কর্তব্য। অতএব, তোমাদের কি হল, কেমন তোমাদের বিচার? Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?" |

| 95 | কিন্তু কথা হল এই যে, তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করতে আরম্ভ করেছে যাকে বুঝতে, তারা অক্ষম। অথচ এখনো এর বিশ্লেষণ আসেনি। এমনিভাবে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা। অতএব, লক্ষ্য করে দেখ, কেমন হয়েছে পরিণতি। Nay, they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass, even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them: thus did those before them make charges of falsehood: but see what was the end of those who did wrong! |

| 96 | বললেন, তোমাদের দোয়া মঞ্জুর হয়েছে। অতএব তোমরা দুজন অটল থাকো এবং তাদের পথে চলো না যারা অজ্ঞ। Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not." |

| 97 | অতএব আজকের দিনে বাঁচিয়ে দিচ্ছি আমি তোমার দেহকে যাতে তোমার পশ্চাদবর্তীদের জন্য নিদর্শন হতে পারে। আর নিঃসন্দেহে বহু লোক আমার মহাশক্তির প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না। "This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!" |

| 98 | অতঃপর তারা যদি তোমাদের কথা পুরণ করতে অপারগ হয়; তবে জেনে রাখ, এটি আল্লাহর এলম দ্বারা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে; আরো একীন করে নাও যে, আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য কোন মাবুদ নেই। অতএব, এখন কি তোমরা আত্নসমর্পন করবে? "If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?" |

| 99 | আচ্ছা বল তো, যে ব্যক্তি তার প্রভুর সুস্পষ্ট পথে রয়েছে, আর সাথে সাথে আল্লাহর তরফ থেকে একটি সাক্ষীও বর্তমান রয়েছে এবং তার পূর্ববর্তী মূসা (আঃ) এর কিতাবও সাক্ষী যা ছিল পথনির্দেশক ও রহমত স্বরূপ, (তিনি কি অন্যান্যের সমান) অতএব তাঁরা কোরআনের প্রতি ঈমান আনেন। আর ঐসব দলগুলি যে কেউ তা অস্বীকার করে, দোযখই হবে তার ঠিকানা। অতএব, আপনি তাতে কোন সন্দেহে থাকবেন না। নিঃসন্দেহে তা আপনার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ হতে ধ্রুব সত্য; তথাপি অনেকেই তা বিশ্বাস করে না। Can they be (like) those who accept a Clear (Sign) from their Lord, and whom a witness from Himself doth teach, as did the Book of Moses before it,- a guide and a mercy? They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it,- the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe! |

| 100 | আর সামুদ জাতি প্রতি তাদের ভাই সালেহ কে প্রেরণ করি; তিনি বললেন, হে আমার জাতি। আল্লাহর বন্দেগী কর, তিনি ছাড়া তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য নাই। তিনিই যমীন হতে তোমাদেরকে পয়দা করেছেন, তন্মধ্যে তোমাদেরকে বসতি দান করেছেন। অতএব; তাঁর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর অতঃপর তাঁরই দিকে ফিরে চল আমার পালনকর্তা নিকটেই আছেন, কবুল করে থাকেন; সন্দেহ নেই। To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer." |

| 101 | আর হে আমার জাতি! আল্লাহর এ উষ্ট্রীটি তোমাদের জন্য নিদর্শন, অতএব তাকে আল্লাহর যমীনে বিচরণ করে খেতে দাও, এবং তাকে মন্দভাবে স্পর্শও করবে না। নতুবা অতি সত্বর তোমাদেরকে আযাব পাকড়াও করবে। "And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a symbol to you: leave her to feed on Allah's (free) earth, and inflict no harm on her, or a swift penalty will seize you!" |

| 102 | অতএব যারা হতভাগ্য তারা দোযখে যাবে, সেখানে তারা আর্তনাদ ও চিৎকার করতে থাকবে। Those who are wretched shall be in the Fire: There will be for them therein (nothing but) the heaving of sighs and sobs: |

| 103 | অতএব, তারা যেসবের উপাসনা করে তুমি সে ব্যাপারে কোনরূপ ধোঁকায় পড়বে না। তাদের পূর্ববর্তী বাপ-দাদারা যেমন পূজা উপাসনা করত, এরাও তেমন করছে। আর নিশ্চয় আমি তাদেরকে আযাবের ভাগ কিছু মাত্রও কম না করেই পুরোপুরি দান করবো। Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement. |

| 104 | অতএব, তুমি এবং তোমার সাথে যারা তওবা করেছে সবাই সোজা পথে চলে যাও-যেমন তোমায় হুকুম দেয়া হয়েছে এবং সীমা লঙ্ঘন করবে না, তোমরা যা কিছু করছ, নিশ্চয় তিনি তার প্রতি দৃষ্টি রাখেন। Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah); and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do. |

| 105 | আর পাপিষ্ঠদের প্রতি ঝুঁকবে না। নতুবা তোমাদেরকেও আগুনে ধরবে। আর আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন বন্ধু নাই। অতএব কোথাও সাহায্য পাবে না। And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will seize you; and ye have no protectors other than Allah, nor shall ye be helped. |

| 106 | আর আল্লাহর কাছেই আছে আসমান ও যমীনের গোপন তথ্য; আর সকল কাজের প্রত্যাবর্তন তাঁরই দিকে; অতএব, তাঁরই বন্দেগী কর এবং তাঁর উপর ভরসা রাখ, আর তোমাদের কার্যকলাপ সম্বন্ধে তোমার পালনকর্তা কিন্তু বে-খবর নন। To Allah do belong the unseen (secrets) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him goeth back every affair (for decision): then worship Him, and put thy trust in Him: and thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do. |

| 107 | তারা যখন তাদের পিতার কাছে ফিরে এল তখন বললঃ হে আমাদের পিতা, আমাদের জন্যে খাদ্য শস্যের বরাদ্দ নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে। অতএব আপনি আমাদের ভাইকে আমাদের সাথে প্রেরণ করুন; যাতে আমরা খাদ্য শস্যের বরাদ্দ আনতে পারি এবং আমরা অবশ্যই তার পুরোপুরি হেফাযত করব। Now when they returned to their father, they said: "O our father! No more measure of grain shall we get (unless we take our brother): So send our brother with us, that we may get our measure; and we will indeed take every care of him." |

| 108 | বললেন, আমি তার সম্পর্কে তোমাদেরকে কি সেরূপ বিশ্বাস করব, যেমন ইতিপূর্বে তার ভাই সম্পর্কে বিশ্বাস করেছিলাম? অতএব আল্লাহ উত্তম হেফাযতকারী এবং তিনিই সর্বাধিক দয়ালু। He said: "Shall I trust you with him with any result other than when I trusted you with his brother aforetime? But Allah is the best to take care (of him), and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" |

| 109 | যখন তারা ইউসুফের কাছে উপস্থিত হল, তখন সে আপন ভ্রাতাকে নিজের কাছে রাখল। বললঃ নিশ্চই আমি তোমার সহোদর। অতএব তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে দুঃখ করো না। Now when they came into Joseph's presence, he received his (full) brother to stay with him. He said (to him): "Behold! I am thy (own) brother; so grieve not at aught of their doings." |

| 110 | অতঃপর যখন তারা তাঁর কাছ থেকে নিরাশ হয়ে গেল, তখন পরামর্শের জন্যে এখানে বসল। তাদের জ্যেষ্ঠ ভাই বললঃ তোমরা কি জান না যে, পিতা তোমাদের কাছ থেকে আল্লাহর নামে অঙ্গীকার নিয়েছেন এবং পূর্বে ইউসুফের ব্যাপারেও তোমরা অন্যায় করেছো? অতএব আমি তো কিছুতেই এদেশ ত্যাগ করব না, যে পর্যন্ত না পিতা আমাকে আদেশ দেন অথবা আল্লাহ আমার পক্ষে কোন ব্যবস্থা করে দেন। তিনিই সর্বোত্তম ব্যবস্থাপক। Now when they saw no hope of his (yielding), they held a conference in private. The leader among them said: "Know ye not that your father did take an oath from you in Allah's name, and how, before this, ye did fail in your duty with Joseph? Therefore will I not leave this land until my father permits me, or Allah commands me; and He is the best to command. |

| 111 | অতঃপর যখন তারা ইউসুফের কাছে পৌঁছল তখন বললঃ হে আযীয, আমরা ও আমাদের পরিবারবর্গ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়ে পড়েছি এবং আমরা অপর্যাপ্ত পুঁজি নিয়ে এসেছি। অতএব আপনি আমাদের পুরোপুরি বরাদ্দ দিন এবং আমাদের কে দান করুন। আল্লাহ দাতাদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকেন। Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable." |

| 112 | তিনি আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেন। অতঃপর স্রোতধারা প্রবাহিত হতে থাকে নিজ নিজ পরিমাণ অনুযায়ী। অতঃপর স্রোতধারা স্ফীত ফেনারাশি উপরে নিয়ে আসে। এবং অলঙ্কার অথবা তৈজসপত্রের জন্যে যে বস্তুকে আগুনে উত্তপ্ত করে, তাতেও তেমনি ফেনারাশি থাকে। এমনি ভাবে আল্লাহ সত্য ও অসত্যের দৃষ্টান্ত প্রদান করেন। অতএব, ফেনা তো শুকিয়ে খতম হয়ে যায় এবং যা মানুষের উপকারে আসে, তা জমিতে অবশিষ্ট থাকে। আল্লাহ এমনিভাবে দৃষ্টান্তসমূহ বর্ণনা করেন। He sends down water from the skies, and the channels flow, each according to its measure: But the torrent bears away to foam that mounts up to the surface. Even so, from that (ore) which they heat in the fire, to make ornaments or utensils therewith, there is a scum likewise. Thus doth Allah (by parables) show forth Truth and Vanity. For the scum disappears like forth cast out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth. Thus doth Allah set forth parables. |

| 113 | আপনার পূর্বে কত রাসূলের সাথে ঠাট্টা করা হয়েছে। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে কিছু অবকাশ দিয়েছি। , এর পর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি। অতএব কেমন ছিল আমার শাস্তি। Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital! |

| 114 | তাদের পয়গম্বরগণ বলেছিলেনঃ আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে কি সন্দেহ আছে, যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের স্রষ্টা? তিনি তোমাদেরকে আহবান করেন যাতে তোমাদের কিছু গুনাহ ক্ষমা করেন এবং নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত তোমাদের সময় দেন। তারা বলতঃ তোমরা তো আমাদের মতই মানুষ! তোমরা আমাদেরকে ঐ উপাস্য থেকে বিরত রাখতে চাও, যার এবাদত আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষগণ করত। অতএব তোমরা কোন সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আনয়ন কর। Their messengers said: "Is there a doubt about Allah, The Creator of the heavens and the earth? It is He Who invites you, in order that He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a term appointed!" They said: "Ah! ye are no more than human, like ourselves! Ye wish to turn us away from the (gods) our fathers used to worship: then bring us some clear authority." |

| 115 | সবাই আল্লাহর সামনে দন্ডায়মান হবে এবং দুর্বলেরা বড়দেরকে বলবেঃ আমরা তো তোমাদের অনুসারী ছিলাম-অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর আযাব থেকে আমাদেরকে কিছুমাত্র রক্ষা করবে কি? তারা বলবেঃ যদি আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে সৎপথ দেখাতেন, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের কে সৎপথ দেখাতাম। এখন তো আমাদের ধৈর্য্যচ্যুত হই কিংবা সবর করি-সবই আমাদের জন্যে সমান আমাদের রেহাই নেই। They will all be marshalled before Allah together: then will the weak say to those who were arrogant, "For us, we but followed you; can ye then avail us to all against the wrath of Allah?" They will reply, "If we had received the Guidance of Allah, we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape." |

| 116 | যখন সব কাজের ফায়সলা হয়ে যাবে, তখন শয়তান বলবেঃ নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে সত্য ওয়াদা দিয়েছিলেন এবং আমি তোমাদের সাথে ওয়াদা করেছি, অতঃপর তা ভঙ্গ করেছি। তোমাদের উপর তো আমার কোন ক্ষমতা ছিল না, কিন্তু এতটুকু যে, আমি তোমাদেরকে ডেকেছি, অতঃপর তোমরা আমার কথা মেনে নিয়েছ। অতএব তোমরা আমাকে ভৎর্সনা করো না এবং নিজেদেরকেই ভৎর্সনা কর। আমি তোমাদের উদ্ধারে সাহায্যকারী নই। এবং তোমরাও আমার উদ্ধারে সাহায্যকারী নও। ইতোপূর্বে তোমরা আমাকে যে আল্লাহর শরীক করেছিলে, আমি তা অস্বীকার করি। নিশ্চয় যারা জালেম তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি। And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty." |

| 117 | হে পালনকর্তা, এরা অনেক মানুষকে বিপথগামী করেছে। অতএব যে আমার অনুসরণ করে, সে আমার এবং কেউ আমার অবাধ্যতা করলে নিশ্চয় আপনি ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু। "O my Lord! they have indeed led astray many among mankind; He then who follows my (ways) is of me, and he that disobeys me,- but Thou art indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 118 | অতএব আল্লাহর প্রতি ধারণা করো না যে, তিনি রসূলগণের সাথে কৃত ওয়াদা ভঙ্গ করবেন নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণকারী। Never think that Allah would fail his messengers in His promise: for Allah is Exalted in power, - the Lord of Retribution. |
(ইব্রাহীম: আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |
| 119 | তারা বললঃ আমরা আপনাকে সত্য সু-সংবাদ দিচ্ছি! অতএব আপনি নিরাশ হবেন না। They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" |
(হিজর: আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |
| 120 | অতএব আপনি শেষরাত্রে পরিবারের সকলকে নিয়ে চলে যান এবং আপনি তাদের পশ্চাদনুসরণ করবেন না এবং আপনাদের মধ্যে কেউ যেন পিছন ফিরে না দেখে। আপনারা যেখানে আদেশ প্রাপ্ত হচ্ছেন সেখানে যান। "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." |

| 121 | লূত বললেনঃ তারা আমার মেহমান। অতএব আমাকে লাঞ্ছিত করো না। Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: |

| 122 | আমি নভোমন্ডল, ভুমন্ডল এবং এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী যা আছে তা তাৎপর্যহীন সৃষ্টি করিনি। কেয়ামত অবশ্যই আসবে। অতএব পরম ঔদাসীন্যের সাথে ওদের ক্রিয়াকর্ম উপক্ষো করুন। We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. |

| 123 | অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার কসম, আমি অবশ্যই ওদের সবাইকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করব। Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, |

| 124 | অতএব আপনি প্রকাশ্যে শুনিয়ে দিন যা আপনাকে আদেশ করা হয় এবং মুশরিকদের পরওয়া করবেন না। Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. |

| 125 | যারা আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য উপাস্য সাব্যস্ত করে। অতএব অতিসত্তর তারা জেনে নেবে। Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. |

| 126 | অতএব আপনি পালনকর্তার সৌন্দর্য স্মরণ করুন এবং সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যান। But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. |

| 127 | আল্লাহর নির্দেশ এসে গেছে। অতএব এর জন্যে তাড়াহুড়া করো না। ওরা যেসব শরীক সাব্যস্ত করছে সেসব থেকে তিনি পবিত্র ও বহু উর্ধ্বে। (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! |

| 128 | তিনি স্বীয় নির্দেশে বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার কাছে ইচ্ছা, নির্দেশসহ ফেরেশতাদেরকে এই মর্মে নাযিল করেন যে, হুশিয়ার করে দাও, আমি ছাড়া কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব আমাকে ভয় কর। He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." |

| 129 | অতএব, জাহান্নামের দরজসমূহে প্রবেশ কর, এতেই অনন্তকাল বাস কর। আর অহংকারীদের আবাসস্থল কতই নিকৃষ্ট। "So enter the gates of Hell, to dwell therein. Thus evil indeed is the abode of the arrogant." |

| 130 | আপনার পূর্বেও আমি প্রত্যাদেশসহ মানবকেই তাদের প্রতি প্রেরণ করেছিলাম অতএব জ্ঞানীদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর, যদি তোমাদের জানা না থাকে; And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. |

| 131 | আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তোমরা দুই উপাস্য গ্রহণ করো না উপাস্য তো মাত্র একজনই। অতএব আমাকেই ভয় কর। Allah has said: "Take not (for worship) two gods: for He is just One Allah: then fear Me (and Me alone)." |

| 132 | যাতে ঐ নেয়ামত অস্বীকার করে, যা আমি তাদেরকে দিয়েছি। অতএব মজা ভোগ করে নাও-সত্বরই তোমরা জানতে পারবে। (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)! |

| 133 | আল্লাহ তা’আলা জীবনোপকরণে তোমাদের একজনকে অন্যজনের চাইতে শ্রেষ্টত্ব দিয়েছেন। অতএব যাদেরকে শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দেয়া হয়েছে, তারা তাদের অধীনস্থ দাস-দাসীদেরকে স্বীয় জীবিকা থেকে এমন কিছু দেয় না, যাতে তারা এ বিষয়ে তাদের সমান হয়ে যাবে। তবে কি তারা আল্লাহর নেয়ামত অস্বীকার করে। Allah has bestowed His gifts of sustenance more freely on some of you than on others: those more favoured are not going to throw back their gifts to those whom their right hands possess, so as to be equal in that respect. Will they then deny the favours of Allah? |

| 134 | আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদেরই শ্রেণী থেকে জোড়া পয়দা করেছেন এবং তোমাদের যুগল থেকে তোমাদেরকে পুত্র ও পৌত্রাদি দিয়েছেন এবং তোমাদেরকে উত্তম জীবনোপকরণ দান করেছেন। অতএব তারা কি মিথ্যা বিষয়ে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ অস্বীকার করে? And Allah has made for you mates (and companions) of your own nature, and made for you, out of them, sons and daughters and grandchildren, and provided for you sustenance of the best: will they then believe in vain things, and be ungrateful for Allah's favours?- |

| 135 | অতএব, আল্লাহর কোন সদৃশ সাব্যস্ত করো না, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ জানেন এবং তোমরা জান না। Invent not similitudes for Allah: for Allah knoweth, and ye know not. |

| 136 | আল্লাহ একটি দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন, অপরের মালিকানাধীন গোলামের যে, কোন কিছুর উপর শক্তি রাখে না এবং এমন একজন যাকে আমি নিজের পক্ষ থেকে চমৎকার রুযী দিয়েছি। অতএব, সে তা থেকে ব্যয় করে গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে উভয়ে কি সমান হয়? সব প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, কিন্তু অনেক মানুষ জানে না। Allah sets forth the Parable (of two men: one) a slave under the dominion of another; He has no power of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have bestowed goodly favours from Ourselves, and he spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the two equal? (By no means;) praise be to Allah. But most of them understand not. |

| 137 | অতএব, যখন আপনি কোরআন পাঠ করেন তখন বিতাড়িত শয়তান থেকে আল্লাহর আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করুন। When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek Allah's protection from Satan the rejected one. |

| 138 | অতএব, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যেসব হালাল ও পবিত্র বস্তু দিয়েছেন, তা তোমরা আহার কর এবং আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহের জন্যে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর যদি তোমরা তাঁরই এবাদতকারী হয়ে থাক। So eat of the sustenance which Allah has provided for you, lawful and good; and be grateful for the favours of Allah, if it is He Whom ye serve. |
(নাহল: আয়াতঃ ১১৪) |
| 139 | সে প্রাণকে হত্যা করো না, যাকে আল্লাহ হারাম করেছেন; কিন্তু ন্যায়ভাবে। যে ব্যক্তি অন্যায়ভাবে নিহত হয়, আমি তার উত্তরাধিকারীকে ক্ষমতা দান করি। অতএব, সে যেন হত্যার ব্যাপারে সীমা লঙ্ঘন না করে। নিশ্চয় সে সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত। Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law). |

| 140 | দেখুন, ওরা আপনার জন্যে কেমন উপমা দেয়। ওরা পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছে। অতএব, ওরা পথ পেতে পারে না। See what similes they strike for thee: but they have gone astray, and never can they find a way. |

| 141 | বলুনঃ সত্য তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত। অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করুক এবং যার ইচ্ছা অমান্য করুক। আমি জালেমদের জন্যে অগ্নি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি, যার বেষ্টনী তাদের কে পরিবেষ্টন করে থাকবে। যদি তারা পানীয় প্রার্থনা করে, তবে পুঁজের ন্যায় পানীয় দেয়া হবে যা তাদের মুখমন্ডল দগ্ধ করবে। কত নিকৃষ্ট পানীয় এবং খুবই মন্দ আশ্রয়। Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on! |

| 142 | যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন সবাই সেজদা করল ইবলীস ব্যতীত। সে ছিল জিনদের একজন। সে তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল। অতএব তোমরা কি আমার পরিবর্তে তাকে এবং তার বংশধরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করছ? অথচ তারা তোমাদের শত্রু। এটা জালেমদের জন্যে খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বদল। Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers! |

| 143 | তিনি বললেনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে যে সামর্থ?2470;িয়েছেন, তাই যথেষ্ট। অতএব, তোমরা আমাকে শ্রম দিয়ে সাহায্য কর। আমি তোমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি সুদৃঢ় প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেব। He said: "(The power) in which my Lord has established me is better (than tribute): Help me therefore with strength (and labour): I will erect a strong barrier between you and them: |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ৯৫) |
| 144 | বলুনঃ আমি ও তোমাদের মতই একজন মানুষ, আমার প্রতি প্রত্যাদেশ হয় যে, তোমাদের ইলাহই একমাত্র ইলাহ। অতএব, যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার সাক্ষাত কামনা করে, সে যেন, সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে এবং তার পালনকর্তার এবাদতে কাউকে শরীক না করে। Say: "I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner. |
(কাহফ: আয়াতঃ ১১০) |
| 145 | তিনি আরও বললেনঃ নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ আমার পালনকর্তা ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তোমরা তার এবাদত কর। এটা সরল পথ। Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight. |

| 146 | আমিই তোমার পালনকর্তা, অতএব তুমি জুতা খুলে ফেল, তুমি পবিত্র উপত্যকা তুয়ায় রয়েছ। "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. |

| 147 | এবং আমি তোমাকে মনোনীত করেছি, অতএব যা প্রত্যাদেশ করা হচ্ছে, তা শুনতে থাক। "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 148 | আমিই আল্লাহ আমি ব্যতীত কোন ইলাহ নেই। অতএব আমার এবাদত কর এবং আমার স্মরণার্থে নামায কায়েম কর। "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 149 | অতএব তোমরা তার কাছে যাও এবং বলঃ আমরা উভয়েই তোমার পালনকর্তার প্রেরিত রসূল, অতএব আমাদের সাথে বনী ইসরাঈলকে যেতে দাও এবং তাদেরকে নিপীড়ন করো না। আমরা তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে নিদর্শন নিয়ে তোমার কাছে আগমন করেছি। এবং যে সৎপথ অনুসরণ করে, তার প্রতি শান্তি। "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |
| 150 | অতএব, আমরাও তোমার মোকাবেলায় তোমার নিকট অনুরূপ যাদু উপস্থিত করব। সুতরাং আমাদের ও তোমার মধ্যে একটি ওয়াদার দিন ঠিক কর, যার খেলাফ আমরাও করব না এবং তুমিও করবে না একটি পরিষ্কার প্রান্তরে। "But we can surely produce magic to match thine! So make a tryst between us and thee, which we shall not fail to keep - neither we nor thou - in a place where both shall have even chances." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |
| 151 | অতএব, তোমরা তোমাদের কলাকৌশল সুসংহত কর, অতঃপর সারিবদ্ধ হয়ে আস। আজ যে জয়ী হবে, সেই সফলকাম হবে। "Therefore concert your plan, and then assemble in (serried) ranks: He wins (all along) today who gains the upper hand." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |
| 152 | ফেরাউন বললঃ আমার অনুমতি দানের পূর্বেই? তোমরা কি তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলে; দেখছি সেই তোমাদের প্রধান, সে তোমাদেরকে যাদু শিক্ষা দিয়েছে। অতএব আমি অবশ্যই তোমাদের হস্তপদ বিপরীত দিক থেকে কর্তন করব এবং আমি তোমাদেরকে খর্জুর বৃক্ষের কান্ডে শূলে চড়াব এবং তোমরা নিশ্চিত রূপেই জানতে পারবে আমাদের মধ্যে কার আযাব কঠোরতর এবং অধিক্ষণ স্থায়ী। (Pharaoh) said: "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this must be your leader, who has taught you magic! be sure I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will have you crucified on trunks of palm-trees: so shall ye know for certain, which of us can give the more severe and the more lasting punishment!" |

| 153 | যাদুকররা বললঃ আমাদের কাছে যে, সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ এসেছে তার উপর এবং যিনি আমাদের কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তাঁর উপর আমরা কিছুতেই তোমাকে প্রাধান্য দেব না। অতএব, তুমি যা ইচ্ছা করতে পার। তুমি তো শুধু এই পার্থিব জীবনেই যা করার করবে। They said: "Never shall we regard thee as more than the Clear Signs that have come to us, or than Him Who created us! so decree whatever thou desirest to decree: for thou canst only decree (touching) the life of this world. |

| 154 | হারুন তাদেরকে পুর্বেই বলেছিলেনঃ হে আমার কওম, তোমরা তো এই গো-বৎস দ্বারা পরীক্ষায় নিপতিত হয়েছ এবং তোমাদের পালনকর্তা দয়াময়। অতএব, তোমরা আমার অনুসরণ কর এবং আমার আদেশ মেনে চল। Aaron had already, before this said to them: "O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious; so follow me and obey my command." |

| 155 | তারা আপনাকে পাহাড় সম্পর্কে প্রশ্ন করা। অতএব, আপনি বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা পহাড়সমূহকে সমূলে উৎপাটন করে বিক্ষিপ্ত করে দিবেন। They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say, "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust; |
(ত্বোয়া-হা: আয়াতঃ ১০৫) |
| 156 | এছাড়া তারা আরও বলেঃ অলীক স্বপ্ন; না সে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করেছে, না সে একজন কবি। অতএব সে আমাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন আনয়ন করুক, যেমন নিদর্শন সহ আগমন করেছিলেন পূর্ববর্তীগন। "Nay," they say, "(these are) medleys of dream! - Nay, He forged it! - Nay, He is (but) a poet! Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (Prophets) of old!" |

| 157 | আপনার পূর্বে আমি মানুষই প্রেরণ করেছি, যাদের কাছে আমি ওহী পাঠাতাম। অতএব তোমরা যদি না জান তবে যারা স্মরণ রাখে তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর। Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. |

| 158 | যদি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য উপাস্য থাকত, তবে উভয়ের ধ্বংস হয়ে যেত। অতএব তারা যা বলে, তা থেকে আরশের অধিপতি আল্লাহ পবিত্র। If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him! |
(আম্বিয়া: আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 159 | তারা কি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে? বলুন, তোমরা তোমাদের প্রমাণ আন। এটাই আমার সঙ্গীদের কথা এবং এটাই আমার পুর্ববর্তীদের কথা। বরং তাদের অধিকাংশই সত্য জানে না; অতএব তারা টালবাহানা করে। Or have they taken for worship (other) gods besides him? Say, "Bring your convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me." But most of them know not the Truth, and so turn away. |

| 160 | সৃষ্টিগত ভাবে মানুষ ত্বরাপ্রবণ, আমি সত্তরই তোমাদেরকে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দেখাব। অতএব আমাকে শীঘ্র করতে বলো না। Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs; then ye will not ask Me to hasten them! |
(আম্বিয়া: আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |
| 161 | এবং এটা একটা বরকতময় উপদেশ, যা আমি নাযিল করেছি। অতএব তোমরা কি একে অস্বীকার কর? And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it? |

| 163 | আমি তাঁকে তোমাদের জন্যে বর্ম নির্মান শিক্ষা দিয়েছিলাম, যাতে তা যুদ্ধে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করে। অতএব তোমরা কি কৃতজ্ঞ হবে? It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other's violence: will ye then be grateful? |

| 164 | তারা সকলেই তোমাদের ধর্মের; একই ধর্মে তো বিশ্বাসী সবাই এবং আমিই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, অতএব আমার বন্দেগী কর। Verily, this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other). |

| 165 | এই দুই বাদী বিবাদী, তারা তাদের পালনকর্তা সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে। অতএব যারা কাফের, তাদের জন্যে আগুনের পোশাক তৈরী করা হয়েছে। তাদের মাথার উপর ফুটন্ত পানি ঢেলে দেয়া হবে। These two antagonists dispute with each other about their Lord: But those who deny (their Lord),- for them will be cut out a garment of Fire: over their heads will be poured out boiling water. |
(হাজ্জ্ব: আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 166 | আমি প্রত্যেক উম্মতের জন্যে কোরবানী নির্ধারণ করেছি, যাতে তারা আল্লাহর দেয়া চতুস্পদ জন্তু যবেহ কারার সময় আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করে। অতএব তোমাদের আল্লাহ তো একমাত্র আল্লাহ সুতরাং তাঁরই আজ্ঞাধীন থাক এবং বিনয়ীগণকে সুসংবাদ দাও; To every people did We appoint rites (of sacrifice), that they might celebrate the name of Allah over the sustenance He gave them from animals (fit for food). But your god is One God: submit then your wills to Him (in Islam): and give thou the good news to those who humble themselves,- |

| 167 | এবং মাদইয়ানের অধিবাসীরা এবং মিথ্যাবাদী বলা হয়েছিল মূসাকেও। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে সুযোগ দিয়েছিলাম এরপর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছিলাম অতএব কি ভীষণ ছিল আমাকে অস্বীকৃতির পরিণাম। And the Companions of the Madyan People; and Moses was rejected (in the same way). But I granted respite to the Unbelievers, and (only) after that did I punish them: but how (terrible) was my rejection (of them)! |

| 168 | রাজত্ব সেদিন আল্লাহরই; তিনিই তাদের বিচার করবেন। অতএব যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে তারা নেয়ামত পূর্ণ কাননে থাকবে। On that Day of Dominion will be that of Allah: He will judge between them: so those who believe and work righteous deeds will be in Gardens of Delight. |

| 169 | আমি প্রত্যেক উম্মতের জন্যে এবাদতের একটি নিয়ম-কানুন নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছি, যা তারা পালন করে। অতএব তারা যেন এ ব্যাপারে আপনার সাথে বিতর্ক না করে। আপনি তাদেরকে পালনকর্তার দিকে আহবান করুন। নিশ্চয় আপনি সরল পথেই আছেন। To every People have We appointed rites and ceremonies which they must follow: let them not then dispute with thee on the matter, but do thou invite (them) to thy Lord: for thou art assuredly on the Right Way. |

| 170 | হে লোক সকল! একটি উপমা বর্ণনা করা হলো, অতএব তোমরা তা মনোযোগ দিয়ে শোন; তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের পূজা কর, তারা কখনও একটি মাছি সৃষ্টি করতে পারবে না, যদিও তারা সকলে একত্রিত হয়। আর মাছি যদি তাদের কাছ থেকে কোন কিছু ছিনিয়ে নেয়, তবে তারা তার কাছ থেকে তা উদ্ধার করতে পারবে না, প্রার্থনাকারী ও যার কাছে প্রার্থনা করা হয়, উভয়েই শক্তিহীন। O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition! |

| 171 | তোমরা আল্লাহর জন্যে শ্রম স্বীকার কর যেভাবে শ্রম স্বীকার করা উচিত। তিনি তোমাদেরকে পছন্দ করেছেন এবং ধর্মের ব্যাপারে তোমাদের উপর কোন সংকীর্ণতা রাখেননি। তোমরা তোমাদের পিতা ইব্রাহীমের ধর্মে কায়েম থাক। তিনিই তোমাদের নাম মুসলমান রেখেছেন পূর্বেও এবং এই কোরআনেও, যাতে রসূল তোমাদের জন্যে সাক্ষ্যদাতা এবং তোমরা সাক্ষ্যদাতা হও মানবমন্ডলির জন্যে। সুতরাং তোমরা নামায কায়েম কর, যাকাত দাও এবং আল্লাহকে শক্তভাবে ধারণ কর। তিনিই তোমাদের মালিক। অতএব তিনি কত উত্তম মালিক এবং কত উত্তম সাহায্যকারী। And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help! |

| 172 | আপনাদের এই উম্মত সব তো একই ধর্মের অনুসারী এবং আমি আপনাদের পালনকর্তা; অতএব আমাকে ভয় করুন। And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). |

| 173 | অতএব তাদের কিছু কালের জন্যে তাদের অজ্ঞানতায় নিমজ্জত থাকতে দিন। But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. |

| 174 | অতএব তারা কি এই কালাম সম্পꦣ2503;ক চিন্তা-ভাবনা করে না? না তাদের কাছে এমন কিছু এসেছে, যা তাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের কাছে আসেনি? Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? |

| 175 | আমার বান্দাদের একদলে বলতঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা! আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। অতএব তুমি আমাদেরকে ক্ষমা কর ও আমাদের প্রতি রহম কর। তুমি তো দয়ালুদের মধ্যে শ্রেষ্ঠ দয়ালু। "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" |

| 176 | তারা বলবে, আমরা একদিন অথবা দিনের কিছু অংশ অবস্থান করেছি। অতএব আপনি গণনাকারীদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন। They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." |

| 177 | অতএব শীর্ষ মহিমায় আল্লাহ, তিনি সত্যিকার মালিক, তিনি ব্যতীত কোন মাবুদ নেই। তিনি সম্মানিত আরশের মালিক। Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! |

| 178 | মুমিন তো তারাই; যারা আল্লাহর ও রসূলের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং রসূলের সাথে কোন সমষ্টিগত কাজে শরীক হলে তাঁর কাছ থেকে অনুমতি গ্রহণ ব্যতীত চলে যায় না। যারা আপনার কাছে অনুমতি প্রার্থনা করে, তারাই আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে। অতএব তারা আপনার কাছে তাদের কোন কাজের জন্যে অনুমতি চাইলে আপনি তাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা অনুমতি দিন এবং তাদের জন্যে আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করুন। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, মেহেরবান। Only those are believers, who believe in Allah and His Messenger: when they are with him on a matter requiring collective action, they do not depart until they have asked for his leave; those who ask for thy leave are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger; so when they ask for thy leave, for some business of theirs, give leave to those of them whom thou wilt, and ask Allah for their forgiveness: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 179 | রসূলের আহবানকে তোমরা তোমাদের একে অপরকে আহ্বানের মত গণ্য করো না। আল্লাহ তাদেরকে জানেন, যারা তোমাদের মধ্যে চুপিসারে সরে পড়ে। অতএব যারা তাঁর আদেশের বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করে, তারা এ বিষয়ে সতর্ক হোক যে, বিপর্যয় তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করবে অথবা যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি তাদেরকে গ্রাস করবে। Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them. |

| 180 | দেখুন, তারা আপনার কেমন দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করে! অতএব তারা পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছে, এখন তারা পথ পেতে পারে না। See what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! But they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find! |

| 181 | অতএব আপনি কাফেরদের আনুগত্য করবেন না এবং তাদের সাথে এর সাহায্যে কঠোর সংগ্রাম করুন। Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an). |

| 182 | বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা পরওয়া করেন না যদি তোমরা তাঁকে না ডাক। তোমরা মিথ্যা বলেছ। অতএব সত্বর নেমে আসবে অনিবার্য শাস্তি। Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" |

| 183 | অতএব তারা তো মিথ্যারোপ করেছেই; সুতরাং যে বিষয় নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত, তার যথার্থ স্বরূপ শীঘ্রই তাদের কাছে পৌছবে। They have indeed rejected (the Message): so they will know soon (enough) the truth of what they mocked at! |

| 184 | আমার বিরুদ্ধে তাদের অভিযোগ আছে। অতএব আমি আশংকা করি যে, তারা আমাকে হত্যা করবে। "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." |

| 185 | অতএব তোমরা ফেরআউনের কাছে যাও এবং বল, আমরা বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তার রসূল। "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; |

| 186 | সে তার জাদু বলে তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের দেশ থেকে বহিস্কার করতে চায়। অতএব তোমাদের মত কি? "His plan is to get you out of your land by his sorcery; then what is it ye counsel?" |

| 187 | অতএব আমাদের কোন সুপারিশকারী নেই। "'Now, then, we have none to intercede (for us), |

| 190 | অতএব, আমার ও তাদের মধ্যে কোন ফয়সালা করে দিন এবং আমাকে ও আমার সংগী মুমিনগণকে রক্ষা করুন। "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." |

| 191 | অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আনুগত্য কর। "So fear Allah and obey me. |

| 192 | অতএব, আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার অনুগত্য কর। "Now fear Allah, and obey me. |

| 193 | অতএব, তারা তাঁকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলতে লাগল এবং আমি তাদেরকে নিপাত করে দিলাম। এতে অবশ্যই নিদর্শন আছে; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাসী নয়। So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. |

| 194 | অতএব, আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার আনুগত্য কর। "So fear Allah, and obey me. |

| 198 | অতএব, আপনি আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য উপাস্যকে আহবান করবেন না। করলে শাস্তিতে পতিত হবেন। So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. |

| 199 | যারা পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে না, আমি তাদের দৃষ্টিতে তাদের কর্মকান্ডকে সুশোভিত করে দিয়েছি। অতএব, তারা উদভ্রান্ত হয়ে ঘুরে বেড়ায়। As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction. |

| 200 | তারা অন্যায় ও অহংকার করে নিদর্শনাবলীকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল, যদিও তাদের অন্তর এগুলো সত্য বলে বিশ্বাস করেছিল। অতএব দেখুন, অনর্থকারীদের পরিণাম কেমন হয়েছিল? And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! |

| 201 | আমি তাকে ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে দেখলাম তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে সূর্যকে সেজদা করছে। শয়তান তাদের দৃষ্টিতে তাদের কার্যাবলী সুশোভিত করে দিয়েছে। অতঃপর তাদেরকে সৎপথ থেকে নিবৃত্ত করেছে। অতএব তারা সৎপথ পায় না। "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,- |

| 202 | তারা বলল, আমরা শক্তিশালী এবং কঠোর যোদ্ধা। এখন সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের ক্ষমতা আপনারই। অতএব আপনি ভেবে দেখুন, আমাদেরকে কি আদেশ করবেন। They said: "We are endued with strength, and given to vehement war: but the command is with thee; so consider what thou wilt command." |

| 203 | অতএব, দেখ তাদের চক্রান্তের পরিনাম, আমি অবশ্রই তাদেরকে এবং তাদের সম্প্রদায়কে নাস্তনাবুদ করে দিয়েছি। Then see what was the end of their plot!- this, that We destroyed them and their people, all (of them). |

| 204 | বল তো কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডল এবং আকাশ থেকে তোমাদের জন্যে বর্ষণ করেছেন পানি; অতঃপর তা দ্বারা আমি মনোরম বাগান সৃষ্টি করেছি। তার বৃক্ষাদি উৎপন্ন করার শক্তিই তোমাদের নেই। অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? বরং তারা সত্যবিচ্যুত সম্প্রদায়। Or, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who sends you down rain from the sky? Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty of delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them. (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, they are a people who swerve from justice. |

| 205 | বল তো কে পৃথিবীকে বাসোপযোগী করেছেন এবং তার মাঝে মাঝে নদ-নদী প্রবাহিত করেছেন এবং তাকে স্থিত রাখার জন্যে পর্বত স্থাপন করেছেন এবং দুই সমুদ্রের মাঝখানে অন্তরায় রেখেছেন। অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? বরং তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না। Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not. |

| 206 | বল তো কে তোমাদেরকে জলে ও স্থলে অন্ধকারে পথ দেখান এবং যিনি তাঁর অনুগ্রহের পূর্বে সুসংবাদবাহী বাতাস প্রেরণ করেন? অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? তারা যাকে শরীক করে, আল্লাহ তা থেকে অনেক ঊর্ধ্বে। Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah?- High is Allah above what they associate with Him! |

| 207 | অতএব, আপনি আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করুন। নিশ্চয় আপনি সত্য ও স্পষ্ট পথে আছেন। So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. |

| 208 | আপনি অন্ধদেরকে তাদের পথভ্রষ্টতা থেকে ফিরিয়ে সৎপথে আনতে পারবেন না। আপনি কেবল তাদেরকে শোনাতে পারবেন, যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস করে। অতএব, তারাই আজ্ঞাবহ। Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. |

| 209 | তিনি বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি তো নিজের উপর জুলুম করে ফেলেছি। অতএব, আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন। আল্লাহ তাকে ক্ষমা করলেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু। He prayed: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do Thou then forgive me!" So (Allah) forgave him: for He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 210 | এসময় শহরের প্রান্ত থেকে একব্যক্তি ছুটে আসল এবং বলল, হে মূসা, রাজ্যের পরিষদবর্গ তোমাকে হত্যা করার পরমর্শ করছে। অতএব, তুমি বের হয়ে যাও। আমি তোমার হিতাকাঙ্ক্ষী। And there came a man, running, from the furthest end of the City. He said: "O Moses! the Chiefs are taking counsel together about thee, to slay thee: so get thee away, for I do give thee sincere advice." |

| 211 | আমার ভাই হারুণ, সে আমা অপেক্ষা প্রাঞ্জলভাষী। অতএব, তাকে আমার সাথে সাহায্যের জন্যে প্রেরণ করুন। সে আমাকে সমর্থন জানাবে। আমি আশংকা করি যে, তারা আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলবে। "And my brother Aaron - He is more eloquent in speech than I: so send him with me as a helper, to confirm (and strengthen) me: for I fear that they may accuse me of falsehood." |

| 212 | অতঃপর আমি তাকে ও তার বাহিনীকে পাকড়াও করলাম, তৎপর আমি তাদেরকে সমু˦#2503;দ্র নিক্ষেপ করলাম। অতএব, দেখ জালেমদের পরিণাম কি হয়েছে। So We seized him and his hosts, and We flung them into the sea: Now behold what was the end of those who did wrong! |

| 213 | আপনি আশা করতেন না যে, আপনার প্রতি কিতাব অবর্তীর্ণ হবে। এটা কেবল আপনার পালনকর্তার রহমত। অতএব আপনি কাফেরদের সাহায্যকারী হবেন না। And thou hadst not expected that the Book would be sent to thee except as a Mercy from thy Lord: Therefore lend not thou support in any way to those who reject (Allah's Message). |

| 214 | হে আমার ঈমানদার বান্দাগণ, আমার পৃথিবী প্রশস্ত। অতএব তোমরা আমারই এবাদত কর। O My servants who believe! truly, spacious is My Earth: therefore serve ye Me - (and Me alone)! |

| 215 | অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর পবিত্রতা স্মরণ কর সন্ধ্যায় ও সকালে, So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning; |

| 216 | বরং যারা যে-ইনসাফ, তারা অজ্ঞানতাবশতঃ তাদের খেয়াল-খূশীর অনুসরণ করে থাকে। অতএব, আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন, তাকে কে বোঝাবে? তাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই। Nay, the wrong-doers (merely) follow their own lusts, being devoid of knowledge. But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray? To them there will be no helpers. |

| 217 | যাতে তারা অস্বীকার করে যা আমি তাদেরকে দিয়েছি। অতএব, মজা লুটে নাও, সত্বরই জানতে পারবে। (As if) to show their ingratitude for the (favours) We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy (your brief day); but soon will ye know (your folly). |

| 218 | মানুষের ধন-সম্পদে তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ বৃদ্ধি পাবে, এই আশায় তোমরা সুদে যা কিছু দাও, আল্লাহর কাছে তা বৃদ্ধি পায় না। পক্ষান্তরে, আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের আশায় পবিত্র অন্তরে যারা দিয়ে থাকে, অতএব, তারাই দ্বিগুণ লাভ করে। That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied. |

| 219 | অতএব, আল্লাহর রহমতের ফল দেখে নাও, কিভাবে তিনি মৃত্তিকার মৃত্যুর পর তাকে জীবিত করেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি মৃতদেরকে জীবিত করবেন এবং তিনি সব কিছুর উপর সর্বশক্তিমান। Then contemplate (O man!) the memorials of Allah's Mercy!- how He gives life to the earth after its death: verily the same will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all things. |

| 220 | অতএব, আপনি মৃতদেরকে শোনাতে পারবেন না এবং বধিরকেও আহবান শোনাতে পারবেন না, যখন তারা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে। So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away. |

| 221 | অতএব, আপনি সবর করুন। আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। যারা বিশ্বাসী নয়, তারা যেন আপনাকে বিচলিত করতে না পারে। So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith. |

| 222 | হে মানব জাতি! তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় কর এবং ভয় কর এমন এক দিবসকে, যখন পিতা পুত্রের কোন কাজে আসবে না এবং পুত্রও তার পিতার কোন উপকার করতে পারবে না। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। অতএব, পার্থিব জীবন যেন তোমাদেরকে ধোঁকা না দেয় এবং আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে প্রতারক শয়তানও যেন তোমাদেরকে প্রতারিত না করে। O mankind! do your duty to your Lord, and fear (the coming of) a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the promise of Allah is true: let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah. |

| 223 | অতএব এ দিবসকে ভূলে যাওয়ার কারণে তোমরা মজা আস্বাদন কর। আমিও তোমাদেরকে ভুলে গেলাম। তোমরা তোমাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে স্থায়ী আযাব ভোগ কর। "Taste ye then - for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you - taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!" |

| 224 | আমি মূসাকে কিতাব দিয়েছি, অতএব আপনি কোরআন প্রাপ্তির বিষয়ে কোন সন্দেহ করবেন না। আমি একে বনী ইসরাঈলের জন্যে পথ প্রদর্শক করেছিলাম। We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be not then in doubt of its reaching (thee): and We made it a guide to the Children of Israel. |

| 225 | অতএব আপনি তাদের থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিন এবং অপেক্ষা করুন, তারাও অপেক্ষা করছে। So turn away from them, and wait: they too are waiting. |

| 226 | অতএব আজকের দিনে তোমরা একে অপরের কোন উপকার ও অপকার করার অধিকারী হবে না আর আমি জালেমদেরকে বলব, তোমরা আগুনের যে শাস্তিকে মিথ্যা বলতে তা আস্বাদন কর। So on that Day no power shall they have over each other, for profit or harm: and We shall say to the wrong-doers, "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire,- the which ye were wont to deny!" |

| 227 | তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছে। আমি তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছিলাম, এরা তার এক দশমাংশও পায়নি। এরপরও তারা আমার রাসূলগনকে মিথ্যা বলেছে। অতএব কেমন হয়েছে আমার শাস্তি। And their predecessors rejected (the Truth); these have not received a tenth of what We had granted to those: yet when they rejected My messengers, how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! |

| 228 | হে মানুষ, তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ কর। আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন কোন স্রষ্টা আছে কি, যে তোমাদেরকে আসমান ও যমীন থেকে রিযিক দান করে? তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব তোমরা কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছ? O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator, other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth? |

| 229 | শয়তান তোমাদের শত্রু; অতএব তাকে শত্রু রূপেই গ্রহণ কর। সে তার দলবলকে আহবান করে যেন তারা জাহান্নামী হয়। Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire. |

| 230 | সেখানে তারা আর্ত চিৎকার করে বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, বের করুন আমাদেরকে, আমরা সৎকাজ করব, পূর্বে যা করতাম, তা করব না। (আল্লাহ বলবেন) আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এতটা বয়স দেইনি, যাতে যা চিন্তা করার বিষয় চিন্তা করতে পারতে? উপরন্তু তোমাদের কাছে সতর্ককারীও আগমন করেছিল। অতএব আস্বাদন কর। জালেমদের জন্যে কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই। Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper." |

| 231 | তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে স্বীয় প্রতিনিধি করেছেন। অতএব যে কুফরী করবে তার কুফরী তার উপরই বর্তাবে। কাফেরদের কুফর কেবল তাদের পালনকর্তার ক্রোধই বৃদ্ধি করে এবং কাফেরদের কুফর কেবল তাদের ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করে। He it is That has made you inheritors in the earth: if, then, any do reject (Allah), their rejection (works) against themselves: their rejection but adds to the odium for the Unbelievers in the sight of their Lord: their rejection but adds to (their own) undoing. |

| 232 | পৃথিবীতে ঔদ্ধত্যের কারণে এবং কুচক্রের কারণে। কুচক্র কুচক্রীদেরকেই ঘিরে ধরে। তারা কেবল পূর্ববর্তীদের দশারই অপেক্ষা করছে। অতএব আপনি আল্লাহর বিধানে পরিবর্তন পাবেন না এবং আল্লাহর রীতি-নীতিতে কোন রকম বিচ্যুতিও পাবেন না। On account of their arrogance in the land and their plotting of Evil, but the plotting of Evil will hem in only the authors thereof. Now are they but looking for the way the ancients were dealt with? But no change wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing): no turning off wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing). |

| 233 | আপনি কেবল তাদেরকেই সতর্ক করতে পারেন, যারা উপদেশ অনুসরণ করে এবং দয়াময় আল্লাহকে না দেখে ভয় করে। অতএব আপনি তাদেরকে সুসংবাদ দিয়ে দিন ক্ষমা ও সম্মানজনক পুরস্কারের। Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. |

| 234 | আমি নিশ্চিতভাবে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম। অতএব আমার কাছ থেকে শুনে নাও। "For me, I have faith in the Lord of you (all): listen, then, to me!" |

| 235 | অতএব তাদের কথা যেন আপনাকে দুঃখিত না করে। আমি জানি যা তারা গোপনে করে এবং যা তারা প্রকাশ্যে করে। Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose. |

| 236 | অতএব পবিত্র তিনি, যাঁর হাতে সবকিছুর রাজত্ব এবং তাঁরই দিকে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে। So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye be all brought back. |

| 237 | অতএব লক্ষ্য করুন, যাদেরকে ভীতিপ্রদর্শণ করা হয়েছিল, তাদের পরিণতি কি হয়েছে। Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- |

| 240 | অতএব আপনি কিছুকালের জন্যে তাদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন। So turn thou away from them for a little while, |

| 241 | যখন তারা দাউদের কাছে অনুপ্রবেশ করল, তখন সে সন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়ল। তারা বললঃ ভয় করবেন না; আমরা বিবদমান দুটি পক্ষ, একে অপরের প্রতি বাড়াবাড়ি করেছি। অতএব, আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায়বিচার করুন, অবিচার করবেন না। আমাদেরকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করুন। When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path.. |

| 242 | হে দাউদ! আমি তোমাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি করেছি, অতএব, তুমি মানুষের মাঝে ন্যায়সঙ্গতভাবে রাজত্ব কর এবং খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করো না। তা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেবে। নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি, এ কারণে যে, তারা হিসাবদিবসকে ভূলে যায়। O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account. |

| 243 | আমি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী কোন কিছু অযথা সৃষ্টি করিনি। এটা কাফেরদের ধারণা। অতএব, কাফেরদের জন্যে রয়েছে দূর্ভোগ অর্থাৎ জাহান্নাম। Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)! |

| 244 | এগুলো আমার অনুগ্রহ, অতএব, এগুলো কাউকে দাও অথবা নিজে রেখে দাও-এর কোন হিসেব দিতে হবে না। "Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked." |

| 245 | তথা জাহান্নাম। তারা সেখানে প্রবেশ করবে। অতএব, কত নিকৃষ্ট সেই আবাস স্থল। Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- |

| 246 | এটা উত্তপ্ত পানি ও পঁূজ; অতএব তারা একে আস্বাদন করুক। Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- |

| 247 | তারা বলবে, তোমাদের জন্যে ও তো অভিনন্দন নেই। তোমরাই আমাদেরকে এ বিপদের সম্মুখীন করেছ। অতএব, এটি কতই না ঘৃণ্য আবাসস্থল। (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" |

| 248 | আমি আপনার প্রতি এ কিতাব যথার্থরূপে নাযিল করেছি। অতএব, আপনি নিষ্ঠার সাথে আল্লাহর এবাদত করুন। Verily it is We Who have revealed the Book to thee in Truth: so serve Allah, offering Him sincere devotion. |

| 249 | তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদেরকে একই ব্যক্তি থেকে। অতঃপর তা থেকে তার যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে আট প্রকার চতুষ্পদ জন্তু অবতীর্ণ করেছেন। তিনি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদের মাতৃগর্ভে পর্যায়ক্রমে একের পর এক ত্রিবিধ অন্ধকারে। তিনি আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, সাম্রাজ্য তাঁরই। তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব, তোমরা কোথায় বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছ? He created you (all) from a single person: then created, of like nature, his mate; and he sent down for you eight head of cattle in pairs: He makes you, in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. such is Allah, your Lord and Cherisher: to Him belongs (all) dominion. There is no god but He: then how are ye turned away (from your true Centre)? |

| 250 | অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যার ইচ্ছা তার এবাদত কর। বলুন, কেয়ামতের দিন তারাই বেশী ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে, যারা নিজেদের ও পরিবারবর্গের তরফ থেকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে। জেনে রাখ, এটাই সুস্পষ্ট ক্ষতি। "Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss! |

| 251 | যারা শয়তানী শক্তির পূজা-অর্চনা থেকে দূরে থাকে এবং আল্লাহ অভিমুখী হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে সুসংবাদ। অতএব, সুসংবাদ দিন আমার বান্দাদেরকে। Those who eschew Evil,- and fall not into its worship,- and turn to Allah (in repentance),- for them is Good News: so announce the Good News to My Servants,- |

| 252 | যারা আরশ বহন করে এবং যারা তার চারপাশে আছে, তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করে, তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং মুমিনদের জন্যে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে বলে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আপনার রহমত ও জ্ঞান সবকিছুতে পরিব্যাপ্ত। অতএব, যারা তওবা করে এবং আপনার পথে চলে, তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন এবং জাহান্নামের আযাব থেকে রক্ষা করুন। Those who sustain the Throne (of Allah) and those around it Sing Glory and Praise to their Lord; believe in Him; and implore Forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire! |

| 253 | অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে খাঁটি বিশ্বাস সহকারে ডাক, যদিও কাফেররা তা অপছন্দ করে। Call ye, then, upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even though the Unbelievers may detest it. |
(আল-মু'মিন: আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 254 | অতএব, আপনি সবর করুন নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। আপনি আপনার গোনাহের জন্যে ক্ষমা প্রর্থনা করুন এবং সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় আপনার পালনকর্তার প্রশংসাসহ পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করুন। Patiently, then, persevere: for the Promise of Allah is true: and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning. |

| 255 | নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর আয়াত সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে তাদের কাছে আগত কোন দলীল ব্যতিরেকে, তাদের অন্তরে আছে কেবল আত্নম্ভরিতা, যা অর্জনে তারা সফল হবে না। অতএব, আপনি আল্লাহর আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করুন। নিশ্চয় তিনি সবকিছু শুনেন, সবকিছু দেখেন। Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them,- there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah: It is He Who hears and sees (all things). |

| 256 | তিনি আল্লাহ, তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, সব কিছুর স্রষ্টা। তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব তোমরা কোথায় বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছ? Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, there is no god but He: Then how ye are deluded away from the Truth! |

| 257 | তিনি চিরঞ্জীব, তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব, তাঁকে ডাক তাঁর খাঁটি এবাদতের মাধ্যমে। সমস্ত প্রশংসা বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহর। He is the Living (One): There is no god but He: Call upon Him, giving Him sincere devotion. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! |

| 258 | যারা কিতাবের প্রতি এবং যে বিষয় দিয়ে আমি পয়গম্বরগণকে প্রেরণ করেছি, সে বিষয়ের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে। অতএব, সত্বরই তারা জানতে পারবে। Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- |

| 259 | অতএব আপনি সবর করুন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে যে শাস্তির ওয়াদা দেই, তার কিয়দংশ যদি আপনাকে দেখিয়ে দেই অথবা আপনার প্রাণ হরণ করে নেই, সর্বাবস্থায় তারা তো আমারই কাছে ফিরে আসবে। So persevere in patience; for the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (before that),-(in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return. |

| 260 | তিনি তোমাদেরকে তাঁর নিদর্শনাবলী দেখান। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর কোন কোন নিদর্শনকে অস্বীকার করবে? And He shows you (always) His Signs: then which of the Signs of Allah will ye deny? |
(আল-মু'মিন: আয়াতঃ ৮১) |
| 261 | তারা বলে আপনি যে বিষয়ের দিকে আমাদের কে দাওয়াত দেন, সে বিষয়ে আমাদের অন্তর আবরণে আবৃত, আমাদের কর্ণে আছে বোঝা এবং আমাদের ও আপনার মাঝখানে আছে অন্তরাল। অতএব, আপনি আপনার কাজ করুন এবং আমরা আমাদের কাজ করি। They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)" |

| 262 | বলুন, আমিও তোমাদের মতই মানুষ, আমার প্রতি ওহী আসে যে, তোমাদের মাবুদ একমাত্র মাবুদ, অতএব তাঁর দিকেই সোজা হয়ে থাক এবং তাঁর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর। আর মুশরিকদের জন্যে রয়েছে দুর্ভোগ, Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ: আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 263 | যখন তাদের কাছে রসূলগণ এসেছিলেন সম্মুখ দিক থেকে এবং পিছন দিক থেকে এ কথা বলতে যে, তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কারও পূজা করো না। তারা বলেছিল, আমাদের পালনকর্তা ইচ্ছা করলে অবশ্যই ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করতেন, অতএব, আমরা তোমাদের আনীত বিষয় অমান্য করলাম। Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but Allah." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether)." |

| 264 | বিপদাপদ স্পর্শ করার পর আমি যদি তাকে আমার অনুগ্রহ আস্বাদন করাই, তখন সে বলতে থাকে, এটা যে আমার যোগ্য প্রাপ্য; আমি মনে করি না যে, কেয়ামত সংঘটিত হবে। আমি যদি আমার পালনকর্তার কাছে ফিরে যাই, তবে অবশ্যই তার কাছে আমার জন্য কল্যাণ রয়েছে। অতএব, আমি কাফেরদেরকে তাদের কর্ম সম্পর্কে অবশ্যই অবহিত করব এবং তাদেরকে অবশ্যই আস্বাদন করাব কঠিন শাস্তি। When we give him a taste of some Mercy from Ourselves, after some adversity has touched him, he is sure to say, "This is due to my (merit): I think not that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) be established; but if I am brought back to my Lord, I have (much) good (stored) in His sight!" But We will show the Unbelievers the truth of all that they did, and We shall give them the taste of a severe Penalty. |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ: আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 265 | অতএব, তোমাদেরকে যা দেয়া হয়েছে তা পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ মাত্র। আর আল্লাহর কাছে যা রয়েছে, তা উৎকৃষ্ট ও স্থায়ী তাদের জন্যে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও তাদের পালনকর্তার উপর ভরসা করে। Whatever ye are given (here) is (but) a convenience of this life: but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting: (it is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord: |

| 266 | অতঃপর আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। অতএব দেখুন, মিথ্যারোপকারীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছে। So We exacted retribution from them: now see what was the end of those who rejected (Truth)! |

| 267 | তবে আমার সম্পর্ক তাঁর সাথে যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতএব, তিনিই আমাকে সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করবেন। "(I worship) only Him Who made me, and He will certainly guide me." |

| 268 | অতএব, আপনার প্রতি যে ওহী নাযিল করা হয়, তা দৃঢ়ভাবে অবলম্বন করুন। নিঃসন্দেহে আপনি সরল পথে রয়েছেন। So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. |

| 269 | ঈসা যখন স্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ আগমন করল, তখন বলল, আমি তোমাদের কাছে প্রজ্ঞা নিয়ে এসেছি এবং তোমরা যে, কোন কোন বিষয়ে মতভেদ করছ তা ব্যক্ত করার জন্যে এসেছি, অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার কথা মান। When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me. |

| 270 | নিশ্চয় আল্লাহই আমার পালনকর্তা ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তাঁর এবাদত কর। এটা হল সরল পথ। "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." |

| 271 | অতএব, তাদেরকে বাকচাতুরী ও ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক করতে দিন সেই দিবসের সাক্ষাত পর্যন্ত, যার ওয়াদা তাদেরকে দেয়া হয়। So leave them to babble and play (with vanities) until they meet that Day of theirs, which they have been promised. |

| 272 | অতএব, আপনি তাদের থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিন এবং বলুন, ‘সালাম’। তারা শীঘ্রই জানতে পারবে। But turn away from them, and say "Peace!" But soon shall they know! |

| 273 | অতএব আপনি সেই দিনের অপেক্ষা করুন, যখন আকাশ ধূয়ায় ছেয়ে যাবে। Then watch thou for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke (or mist) plainly visible, |

| 274 | অতএব, আপনি অপেক্ষা করুন, তারাও অপেক্ষা করছে। So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting. |

| 275 | এগুলো আল্লাহর আয়াত, যা আমি আপনার কাছে আবৃত্তি করি যথাযথরূপে। অতএব, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর আয়াতের পর তারা কোন কথায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে। Such are the Signs of Allah, which We rehearse to thee in Truth; then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs? |

| 276 | সে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ শুনে, অতঃপর অহংকারী হয়ে জেদ ধরে, যেন সে আয়াত শুনেনি। অতএব, তাকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দিন। He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous! |

| 277 | এরপর আমি আপনাকে রেখেছি ধর্মের এক বিশেষ শরীয়তের উপর। অতএব, আপনি এর অনুসরণ করুন এবং অজ্ঞানদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করবেন না। Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. |

| 278 | আপনি কি তার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করেছেন, যে তার খেয়াল-খুশীকে স্বীয় উপাস্য স্থির করেছে? আল্লাহ জেনে শুনে তাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছেন, তার কান ও অন্তরে মহর এঁটে দিয়েছেন এবং তার চোখের উপর রেখেছেন পর্দা। অতএব, আল্লাহর পর কে তাকে পথ প্রদর্শন করবে? তোমরা কি চিন্তাভাবনা কর না? Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn Guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition? |

| 279 | অতএব, বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা, ভূ-মন্ডলের পালনকর্তা ও নভোমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহর-ই প্রশংসা। Then Praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth,- Lord and Cherisher of all the Worlds! |

| 280 | অতএব, আপনি সবর করুন, যেমন উচ্চ সাহসী পয়গম্বরগণ সবর করেছেন এবং ওদের বিষয়ে তড়িঘড়ি করবেন না। ওদেরকে যে বিষয়ে ওয়াদা দেয়া হত, তা যেদিন তারা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, সেদিন তাদের মনে হবে যেন তারা দিনের এক মুহুর্তের বেশী পৃথিবীতে অবস্থান করেনি। এটা সুস্পষ্ট অবগতি। এখন তারাই ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হবে, যারা পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়। Therefore patiently persevere, as did (all) messengers of inflexible purpose; and be in no haste about the (Unbelievers). On the Day that they see the (Punishment) promised them, (it will be) as if they had not tarried more than an hour in a single day. (Thine but) to proclaim the Message: but shall any be destroyed except those who transgress? |

| 281 | এটা এজন্যে যে, আল্লাহ যা নাযিল করেছেন, তারা তা পছন্দ করে না। অতএব, আল্লাহ তাদের কর্ম ব্যর্থ করে দিবেন। That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah; so He has made their deeds fruitless. |

| 282 | তাদের আনুগত্য ও মিষ্ট বাক্য জানা আছে। অতএব, জেহাদের সিন্ধান্ত হলে যদি তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি প্রদত্ত অংগীকার পূর্ণ করে, তবে তাদের জন্যে তা মঙ্গলজনক হবে। Were it to obey and say what is just, and when a matter is resolved on, it were best for them if they were true to Allah. |

| 283 | অতএব, তোমরা হীনবল হয়ো না এবং সন্ধির আহবান জানিও না, তোমরাই হবে প্রবল। আল্লাহই তোমাদের সাথে আছেন। তিনি কখনও তোমাদের কর্ম হ্রাস করবেন না। Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds. |

| 284 | যারা আপনার কাছে আনুগত্যের শপথ করে, তারা তো আল্লাহর কাছে আনুগত্যের শপথ করে। আল্লাহর হাত তাদের হাতের উপর রয়েছে। অতএব, যে শপথ ভঙ্গ করে; অতি অবশ্যই সে তা নিজের ক্ষতির জন্যেই করে এবং যে আল্লাহর সাথে কৃত অঙ্গীকার পূর্ণ করে; আল্লাহ সত্ত্বরই তাকে মহাপুরস্কার দান করবেন। Verily those who plight their fealty to thee do no less than plight their fealty to Allah: the Hand of Allah is over their hands: then any one who violates his oath, does so to the harm of his own soul, and any one who fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah,- Allah will soon grant him a great Reward. |

| 285 | মরুবাসীদের মধ্যে যারা গৃহে বসে রয়েছে, তারা আপনাকে বলবেঃ আমরা আমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও পরিবার-পরিজনের কাজে ব্যস্ত ছিলাম। অতএব, আমাদের পাপ মার্জনা করান। তারা মুখে এমন কথা বলবে, যা তাদের অন্তরে নেই। বলুনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদের ক্ষতি অথবা উপকার সাধনের ইচ্ছা করলে কে তাকে বিরত রাখতে পারে? বরং তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ সে বিষয় পরিপূর্ণ জ্ঞাত। The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee: "We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds, and our families: do thou then ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. |

| 286 | মুমিনরা তো পরস্পর ভাই-ভাই। অতএব, তোমরা তোমাদের দুই ভাইয়ের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করবে এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় করবে-যাতে তোমরা অনুগ্রহপ্রাপ্ত হও। The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. |

| 287 | অতএব, তারা যা কিছু বলে, তজ্জন্যে আপনি ছবর করুন এবং, সূর্যোদয় ও সূর্যাস্তের পূর্বে আপনার পালনকর্তার সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করুন। Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting. |

| 288 | তারা যা বলে, তা আমি সম্যক অবগত আছি। আপনি তাদের উপর জোরজবরকারী নন। অতএব, যে আমার শাস্তিকে ভয় করে, তাকে কোরআনের মাধ্যমে উপদেশ দান করুন। We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning! |

| 289 | অতএব, আল্লাহর দিকে ধাবিত হও। আমি তাঁর তরফ থেকে তোমাদের জন্যে সুস্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী। Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
(আয-যারিয়াত: আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 290 | অতএব, আপনি ওদের থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিন। এতে আপনি অপরাধী হবেন না। So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. |
(আয-যারিয়াত: আয়াতঃ ৫৪) |
| 291 | অতএব, এই যালেমদের প্রাপ্য তাই, যা ওদের অতীত সহচরদের প্রাপ্য ছিল। কাজেই ওরা যেন আমার কাছে তা তাড়াতাড়ি না চায়। For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! |

| 292 | অতএব, কাফেরদের জন্যে দুর্ভোগ সেই দিনের, যেদিনের প্রতিশ্রুতি ওদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছে। Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! |

| 293 | অতএব, আপনি উপদেশ দান করুন। আপনার পালনকর্তার কৃপায় আপনি অতীন্দ্রিয়বাদী নন এবং উম্মাদও নন। Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. |
(আত্ব তূর: আয়াতঃ ২৯) |
| 294 | না তারা চক্রান্ত করতে চায়? অতএব যারা কাফের, তারই চক্রান্তের শিকার হবে। Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! |
(আত্ব তূর: আয়াতঃ ৪২) |
| 295 | অতএব, পরবর্তী ও পূর্ববর্তী সব মঙ্গলই আল্লাহর হাতে। But it is to Allah that the End and the Beginning (of all things) belong. |
(আন-নাজম: আয়াতঃ ২৫) |
| 296 | অতএব যে আমার স্মরণে বিমুখ এবং কেবল পার্থিব জীবনই কামনা করে তার তরফ থেকে আপনি মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিন। Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world. |
(আন-নাজম: আয়াতঃ ২৯) |
| 297 | যারা বড় বড় গোনাহ ও অশ্লীলকার্য থেকে বেঁচে থাকে ছোটখাট অপরাধ করলেও নিশ্চয় আপনার পালনকর্তার ক্ষমা সুদূর বিস্তৃত। তিনি তোমাদের সম্পর্কে ভাল জানেন, যখন তিনি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মৃত্তিকা থেকে এবং যখন তোমরা মাতৃগর্ভে কচি শিশু ছিলে। অতএব তোমরা আত্নপ্রশংসা করো না। তিনি ভাল জানেন কে সংযমী। Those who avoid great sins and shameful deeds, only (falling into) small faults,- verily thy Lord is ample in forgiveness. He knows you well when He brings you out of the earth, And when ye are hidden in your mothers' wombs. Therefore justify not yourselves: He knows best who it is that guards against evil. |

| 298 | অতএব আল্লাহকে সেজদা কর এবং তাঁর এবাদত কর। But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! |

| 299 | অতএব, আপনি তাদের থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিন। যেদিন আহবানকারী আহবান করবে এক অপ্রিয় পরিণামের দিকে, Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair, |

| 301 | আমি একে এক নিদর্শনরূপে রেখে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি? And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition? |

| 304 | আমি তাদের পরীক্ষার জন্য এক উষ্ট্রী প্রেরণ করব, অতএব, তাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখ এবং সবর কর। For We will send the she-camel by way of trial for them. So watch them, (O Salih), and possess thyself in patience! |

| 306 | তারা লূতের (আঃ) কাছে তার মেহমানদেরকে দাবী করেছিল। তখন আমি তাদের চক্ষু লোপ করে দিলাম। অতএব, আস্বাদন কর আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী। And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." |

| 307 | অতএব, আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী আস্বাদন কর। "So taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." |

| 308 | আমি কোরআনকে বোঝবার জন্যে সহজ করে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি? And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? |

| 309 | আমি তোমাদের সমমনা লোকদেরকে ধ্বংস করেছি, অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি? And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? |

| 341 | অতএব, আপনি আপনার মহান পালনকর্তার নামে পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করুন। Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme! |

| 342 | অতএব, আমি তারকারাজির অস্তাচলের শপথ করছি, Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- |

| 343 | অতএব, আপনি আপনার মহান পালনকর্তার নামে পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করুন। So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. |

| 344 | তোমরা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর এবং তিনি তোমাদেরকে যার উত্তরাধিকারী করেছেন, তা থেকে ব্যয় কর। অতএব, তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও ব্যয় করে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে মহাপুরস্কার। Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend (in charity) out of the (substance) whereof He has made you heirs. For, those of you who believe and spend (in charity),- for them is a great Reward. |

| 345 | অতএব, আজ তোমাদের কাছ থেকে কোন মুক্তিপন গ্রহণ করা হবে না। এবং কাফেরদের কাছ থেকেও নয়। তোমাদের সবার আবাস্থল জাহান্নাম। সেটাই তোমাদের সঙ্গী। কতই না নিকৃষ্ট এই প্রত্যাবর্তন স্থল। "This Day shall no ransom be accepted of you, nor of those who rejected Allah." Your abode is the Fire: that is the proper place to claim you: and an evil refuge it is!" |

| 346 | তারা তাদের শপথকে ঢাল করে রেখেছেন, অতঃপর তারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে মানুষকে বাধা প্রদান করে। অতএব, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে অপমানজনক শাস্তি। They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: therefore shall they have a humiliating Penalty. |

| 347 | তিনিই কিতাবধারীদের মধ্যে যারা কাফের, তাদেরকে প্রথমবার একত্রিত করে তাদের বাড়ী-ঘর থেকে বহিস্কার করেছেন। তোমরা ধারণাও করতে পারনি যে, তারা বের হবে এবং তারা মনে করেছিল যে, তাদের দূর্গগুলো তাদেরকে আল্লাহর কবল থেকে রক্ষা করবে। অতঃপর আল্লাহর শাস্তি তাদের উপর এমনদিক থেকে আসল, যার কল্পনাও তারা করেনি। আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরে ত্রাস সঞ্চার করে দিলেন। তারা তাদের বাড়ী-ঘর নিজেদের হাতে এবং মুসলমানদের হাতে ধ্বংস করছিল। অতএব, হে চক্ষুষ্মান ব্যক্তিগণ, তোমরা শিক্ষা গ্রহণ কর। It is He Who got out the Unbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). Little did ye think that they would get out: And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allah! But the (Wrath of) Allah came to them from quarters from which they little expected (it), and cast terror into their hearts, so that they destroyed their dwellings by their own hands and the hands of the Believers, take warning, then, O ye with eyes (to see)! |

| 348 | এটা এজন্য যে, তারা বিশ্বাস করার পর পুনরায় কাফের হয়েছে। ফলে তাদের অন্তরে মোহর মেরে দেয়া হয়েছে। অতএব তারা বুঝে না। That is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not. |

| 349 | আপনি যখন তাদেরকে দেখেন, তখন তাদের দেহাবয়ব আপনার কাছে প্রীতিকর মনে হয়। আর যদি তারা কথা বলে, তবে আপনি তাদের কথা শুনেন। তারা প্রাচীরে ঠেকানো কাঠসদৃশ্য। প্রত্যেক শোরগোলকে তারা নিজেদের বিরুদ্ধে মনে করে। তারাই শত্রু, অতএব তাদের সম্পর্কে সতর্ক হোন। ধ্বংস করুন আল্লাহ তাদেরকে। তারা কোথায় বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছে ? When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)! |

| 350 | অতএব তোমরা আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল এবং অবতীর্ন নূরের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর। তোমরা যা কর, সে বিষয়ে আল্লাহ সম্যক অবগত। Believe, therefore, in Allah and His Messenger, and in the Light which we have sent down. And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. |
(আত-তাগাবুন: আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 351 | আল্লাহ তিনি ব্যতীত কোন মাবুদ নেই। অতএব মুমিনগণ আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করুক। Allah! There is no god but He: and on Allah, therefore, let the Believers put their trust. |
(আত-তাগাবুন: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 352 | হে মুমিনগণ, তোমাদের কোন কোন স্ত্রী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তোমাদের দুশমন। অতএব তাদের ব্যাপারে সতর্ক থাক। যদি মার্জনা কর, উপেক্ষা কর, এবং ক্ষমা কর, তবে আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুনাময়। O ye who believe! Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 353 | অতএব তোমরা যথাসাধ্য আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, শুন, আনুগত্য কর এবং ব্যয় কর। এটা তোমাদের জন্যে কল্যাণকর। যারা মনের কার্পন্য থেকে মুক্ত, তারাই সফলকাম। So fear Allah as much as ye can; listen and obey and spend in charity for the benefit of your own soul and those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity. |
(আত-তাগাবুন: আয়াতঃ ১৬) |
| 354 | আল্লাহ তাদের জন্যে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি প্রস্তত রেখেছেন অতএব, হে বুদ্ধিমানগণ, যারা ঈমান এনেছ, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি উপদেশ নাযিল করেছেন। Allah has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for Allah hath indeed sent down to you a Message,- |
(আত্ব-ত্বালাক্ব: আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 355 | তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীকে সুগম করেছেন, অতএব, তোমরা তার কাঁধে বিচরণ কর এবং তাঁর দেয়া রিযিক আহার কর। তাঁরই কাছে পুনরুজ্জীবন হবে। It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection. |
(আল মুলক: আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 356 | অতএব, আপনি মিথ্যারোপকারীদের আনুগত্য করবেন না। So hearken not to those who deny (the Truth). |
(আল কলম: আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 357 | অতএব, যারা এই কালামকে মিথ্যা বলে, তাদেরকে আমার হাতে ছেড়ে দিন, আমি এমন ধীরে ধীরে তাদেরকে জাহান্নামের দিকে নিয়ে যাব যে, তারা জানতে পারবে না। Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. |
(আল কলম: আয়াতঃ ৪৪) |
| 358 | অতএব, আজকের দিন এখানে তার কোন সুহূদ নাই। "So no friend hath he here this Day. |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ: আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |
| 359 | অতএব, আপনি আপনার মহান পালনকর্তার নামের পবিত্রতা বর্ননা করুন। So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High. |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ: আয়াতঃ ৫২) |
| 360 | অতএব, আপনি উত্তম সবর করুন। Therefore do thou hold Patience,- a Patience of beautiful (contentment). |
(আল মা'আরিজ: আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 361 | অতএব, যারা এদের ছাড়া অন্যকে কামনা করে, তারাই সীমালংঘনকারী। But those who trespass beyond this are transgressors;- |
(আল মা'আরিজ: আয়াতঃ ৩১) |
| 362 | অতএব, কাফেরদের কি হল যে, তারা আপনার দিকে উর্ধ্বশ্বাসে ছুটে আসছে। Now what is the matter with the Unbelievers that they rush madly before thee- |
(আল মা'আরিজ: আয়াতঃ ৩৬) |
| 363 | অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে ছেড়ে দিন, তারা বাকবিতন্ডা ও ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক করুক সেই দিবসের সম্মুখীন হওয়া পর্যন্ত, যে দিবসের ওয়াদা তাদের সাথে করা হচ্ছে। So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!- |
(আল মা'আরিজ: আয়াতঃ ৪২) |
| 364 | অথচ তারা অনেককে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছে। অতএব আপনি জালেমদের পথভ্রষ্টতাই বাড়িয়ে দিন। "They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)." |
(নূহ: আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 365 | আমরা যখন সুপথের নির্দেশ শুনলাম, তখন তাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম। অতএব, যে তার পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস করে, সে লোকসান ও জোর-জবরের আশংকা করে না। 'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice. |
(আল জিন: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 366 | এবং এই ওহীও করা হয়েছে যে, মসজিদসমূহ আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে স্মরণ করার জন্য। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহ তা’আলার সাথে কাউকে ডেকো না। "And the places of worship are for Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah; |
(আল জিন: আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 367 | তিনি পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের অধিকর্তা। তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব, তাঁকেই গ্রহণ করুন কর্মবিধায়করূপে। (He is) Lord of the East and the West: there is no god but He: take Him therefore for (thy) Disposer of Affairs. |
(মুযযামমিল: আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 368 | অতএব, তোমরা কিরূপে আত্নরক্ষা করবে যদি তোমরা সেদিনকে অস্বীকার কর, যেদিন বালককে করে দিব বৃদ্ধ? Then how shall ye, if ye deny (Allah), guard yourselves against a Day that will make children hoary-headed?- |
(মুযযামমিল: আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 369 | এটা উপদেশ। অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, সে তার পালনকর্তার দিকে পথ অবলম্বন করুক। Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord! |
(মুযযামমিল: আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 370 | আপনার পালনকর্তা জানেন, আপনি এবাদতের জন্যে দন্ডায়মান হন রাত্রির প্রায় দু’তৃতীয়াংশ, অর্ধাংশ ও তৃতীয়াংশ এবং আপনার সঙ্গীদের একটি দলও দন্ডায়মান হয়। আল্লাহ দিবা ও রাত্রি পরিমাপ করেন। তিনি জানেন, তোমরা এর পূর্ণ হিসাব রাখতে পার না। অতএব তিনি তোমাদের প্রতি ক্ষমা পরায়ন হয়েছেন। কাজেই কোরআনের যতটুকু তোমাদের জন্যে সহজ, ততটুকু আবৃত্তি কর। তিনি জানেন তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ অসুস্থ হবে, কেউ কেউ আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ সন্ধানে দেশে-বিদেশে যাবে এবং কেউ কেউ আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদে লিপ্ত হবে। কাজেই কোরআনের যতটুকু তোমাদের জন্যে সহজ ততটুকু আবৃত্তি কর। তোমরা নামায কায়েম কর, যাকাত দাও এবং আল্লাহকে উত্তম ঋণ দাও। তোমরা নিজেদের জন্যে যা কিছু অগ্রে পাঠাবে, তা আল্লাহর কাছে উত্তম আকারে এবং পুরস্কার হিসেবে বর্ধিতরূপে পাবে। তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু। Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

| 371 | অতএব, সুপারিশকারীদের সুপারিশ তাদের কোন উপকারে আসবে না। Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. |
(আল মুদ্দাসসির: আয়াতঃ ৪৮) |
| 372 | অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, সে একে স্মরণ করুক। Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! |
(আল মুদ্দাসসির: আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |
| 373 | অতএব, আপনি আপনার পালনকর্তার আদেশের জন্যে ধৈর্য্য সহকারে অপেক্ষা করুন এবং ওদের মধ্যকার কোন পাপিষ্ঠ কাফেরের আনুগত্য করবেন না। Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them. |
(আদ-দাহর: আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 374 | এটা উপদেশ, অতএব যার ইচ্ছা হয় সে তার পালনকর্তার পথ অবলম্বন করুক। This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord. |
(আদ-দাহর: আয়াতঃ ২৯) |
| 375 | অতএব, তোমাদের কোন অপকৌশল থাকলে তা প্রয়োগ কর আমার কাছে। Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! |
(আল মুরসালাত: আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 376 | অতএব, তোমরা আস্বাদন কর, আমি কেবল তোমাদের শাস্তিই বৃদ্ধি করব। "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." |
(আন-নাবা: আয়াতঃ ৩০) |
| 377 | অতএব, এটা তো কেবল এক মহা-নাদ, But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, |
(আন-নযিআ'ত: আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 378 | অতএব, যে ইচ্ছা করবে, সে একে গ্রহণ করবে। Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. |
(আবাসা: আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 379 | অতএব, তোমরা কোথায় যাচ্ছ? When whither go ye? |
(আত-তাকভীর: আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 380 | অতএব, তাদের কি হল যে, তারা ঈমান আনে না? What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- |
(আল ইনশিক্বাক্ব: আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 381 | অতএব, তাদেরকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দিন। So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, |
(আল ইনশিক্বাক্ব: আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 382 | অতএব, মানুষের দেখা উচিত কি বস্তু থেকে সে সৃজিত হয়েছে। Now let man but think from what he is created! |
(আত্ব-তারিক্ব: আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 383 | অতএব, কাফেরদেরকে অবকাশ দিন, তাদেরকে অবকাশ দিন, কিছু দিনের জন্যে। Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). |
(আত্ব-তারিক্ব: আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 384 | অতএব, আপনি উপদেশ দিন, আপনি তো কেবল একজন উপদেশদাতা, Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. |
(আল গাশিয়াহ: আয়াতঃ ২১) |
| 385 | অতএব, যে দান করে এবং খোদাভীরু হয়, So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), |
(আল লায়ল: আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 386 | অতএব, আমি তোমাদেরকে প্রজ্বলিত অগ্নি সম্পর্কে সতর্ক করে দিয়েছি। Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; |
(আল লায়ল: আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 387 | অতএব, যখন অবসর পান পরিশ্রম করুন। Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard, |
(ইনশিরাহ: আয়াতঃ ৭) |
| 388 | অতএব, সে তার সভাসদদেরকে আহবান করুক। Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): |

| 389 | অতএব যার পাল্লা ভারী হবে, Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, |
(কারেয়া: আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 390 | অতএব তারা যেন এবাদত করে এই ঘরের পালনকর্তার Let them adore the Lord of this House, |
(কুরাইশ: আয়াতঃ ৩) |
| 391 | অতএব দুর্ভোগ সেসব নামাযীর, So woe to the worshippers |
(মাঊন: আয়াতঃ ৪) |
| 392 | অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশ্যে নামায পড়ুন এবং কোরবানী করুন। Therefore to thy Lord turn in Prayer and Sacrifice. |
